I would leave the planning and theme to the host(s) of the shower, they may thinking you’re overstepping.

Your bridesmaids should be planning these for you. You just provide a guest list and show up.


A tea party or Mad Men vibe sounds fun.

As my family told me. “You can’t plan everything! Let people love ON YOU!”


Good luck! It may be secretly planned! Lol 😂 but you’re like me I don’t want to depend on someone and it never happens! But I’m sure someone is planning something For you. Trust me I planned our engagement party and I was told that one of my bridesmaids wanted to do it. So as far as anything additional to the wedding I’m stepping back.
My mom is planning to host my bridal shower.

I understand that I can't plan everything, but I don't think that people understand how everyone's life is. I have disabled bridesmaids, so it's not easy for them to do everything on their own during this. But I appreciate your non-judging comment to be completely honest.
But in my personal life I'm as organized and a big "planner" personally.

I didn't have an engagement party, nor have any of my bridesmaids been in a wedding before. But thank you for your advice at the beginning.

The theme of your party should be something you love, or that reflects you.

You've got lots of time, though, so try not to worry about it, yet.
