Hello!

I'm looking for some advice/feedback! I'm getting married on 10-17-2020 and my younger sister (21) is throwing my bachelorette party and bridal shower. We're struggling on when to have it. My very best friend is getting married on 8-1-2020 and I have two close friends having babies (their firsts!!) a few weeks apart in July! I don't want to take away from any of their special moments so I was considering just having a family bridal shower or having my shower and bachelorette party less than a month before my wedding. I don't want to upset anyone or take away from their moments, but I also want to be able to have my moments, too.

I would think anywhere mid-August or later would work just fine depending on state COVID restrictions. My wedding was July 20th of last year and my bridal shower and bachelorette party were the last weekend of June, so about 3 weeks prior.

Late August or early September seems fine. That gives the new moms time to have their babies and adjust, and your best friend time to have her wedding and enjoy her first few weeks as a newlywed.

Hey fellow October bride!! We are getting married October 16, 2020 (hopefully!!) and although my shower and bachelorette parties are surprises to me (my girls are planning everything in secret apparently lol) they have discussed possible dates with me. As far as I know it sounds like bachelorette party may be late summer, with the bridal shower the last week of August or first week of September. The whole idea was so many people go away over the summer/have so much stuff going on, by doing it end of summer there is more of a chance for everyone to be able to be around to celebrate.

Mid-August or early September would be just fine. My wedding will be October 24 and we’re thinking Labor Day weekend bachelorette and my mom is thinking August shower.
