No, you don’t throw your own. Either members of your bridal party, family members, or friends host your bridal shower.

It's TERRIBLE etiquette to plan your own shower. So gift-grabby. It isn't a necessary wedding event so someone else will either offer to host it and you'll have one or they won't. The role of the maid of honor is to show up on time to the wedding and stand with you.
