My Wedding is not until 5/13/2023 so my sister is planning my bridal shower for 11/12/2022. This is exactly 6 months from the wedding. Is this too early? Its tricky to plan out things in "traditional" time frames because of how early into may my wedding is and weather. Plus, the 2 months before my wedding are spring break months where people tend to have plans going on. Only downfall is that my mother in law, soon to be, will not be there due to cataract surgery and also my aunt due to scheduling, so that's a bummer.

I think it depends on your crowd and how you feel about it honestly!! My wedding is end of January and my shower is this weekend so that they could get it out of the way before it gets cold and the holidays start piling on. Just make sure then that you have some other things going on over the following six months to keep you excited

That is quite a way out but I don't see the issue if it works for you guys!
We did ours 3 weeks ahead of the big day - mainly to allow the boys time to recover.. lol

It’s a bit early, but if that’s best for you, go with it!

Our wedding was May 21st. We had a couples shower in late February and a bridal shower in early April.

Totally fine to do it 6 months out if that's what works for you! We're getting married at the end of October, but my mom threw me a shower on Memorial Day weekend (5 months away). My side is out of state, and I have a lot of relatives a state over as well, so it made sense to do it over a long weekend. Plus there was no way I was driving through 3 states by myself with a carload of shower gifts, and that was the best weekend for my fiancé to be able to be there to help out and drive with me. It all worked out and everyone had a great time
