Bridal Shower

Zerita, on November 12, 2024 at 12:01 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 1

This is my second marriage and I was told by my oldest sister that I didn't need a bridal shower because I had one already from my first marriage. I was adamant about proceeding with it. I asked my MOH and bridesmaid their opinion and they agreed that I SHOULD HAVE ONE. Now, I'm thinking about just not doing it. I'm looking for a venue and I feel exhausted with the search. Team Bride agreed to pay for the caterer. I think I just want to concentrate on the wedding right now which is March 2025.

If I don't proceed its because i'm exhausted, not because my eldest sister says i shouldn't have one, but would love your opinion on her opinion.

Those who want to do a bridal shower should take care of the arrangements and costs. It is not supposed to be done by the bride or her family. Maybe it is okay if at someone's house so that extra money is not spent on the venue. But if people want to cover a venue and catering, that is their option. You could even ask that it just be a bridal celebration instead of having gifts. After that people can decide if they respect your intent.

So stay out of the preparations. Enjoy whatever they prepare for you.
