That's what pops into my head when I think of them too! I just don't like pink, rose gold, or that rustic vibe LOL there is nothing wrong with it, it's just not my taste. Are you having a bridal shower?? If so, are you doing a theme or color scheme??

Yes I'm having a bridal shower. It's going to be in June so I'm not sure what theme or colors we will go with. But we will probably end up doing a beach theme or a luau theme bridal shower. I love the beach I could practically live on the beach. And I love luaus and Hawaii to.

There's lots of articles online explaining what traditional duties are and the etiquette typically falls in line with that. I am probably having at least one at some point.

There's not necessarily a typical bridal shower. It's done differently by regions and cultures. I've seen in here and also through TV where the MOH is the main hostess and the rest of the bridesmaids help put it together. But in my area it's usually the bride's female relatives or church family or different friends who host it. Also in my area, it's usually a floating shower where people come and go, no one really stays or is expected to stay the whole time except for the couple and those hosting the shower. There's food and usually some of the engagement pictures, like in an album or something for guests to look at, and also the opening of gifts. I've heard and seen of games, but I've never been to a bridal shower that had games. I'm also pretty sure the only bridal showers I've been to were hosted in church fellowship halls, so no drinking either. Although with COVID, I'm having the shower I just described hosted by my mom and then my MOH is hosting a shorter online shower for those who either can't make it due to distance and travel or are practicing social distance. The Online one is titled Happy Hour Bridal Shower and there may be drinks and games I'm not sure.

Anna, I know different cultures and regions do it differently. I just know the colors are pink and rose gold lol That makes sense having the maid of honor host it and have the bridesmaids help. That's really nice that in your area female relatives of the bride, friends, or church family host it!! I have never heard of a floating shower before. That's really cool and very laid back!! I wonder if there were games if they could be themed?? Oh, that's really nice of your mom and MOH to do!! With COVID everything got changed around and things so I understand. At least you will have the online one and the one with your mom!! That's really nice!!

They definitely don’t have to be pink and rose gold. We usually use wedding colors.

I threw my sister a bridal fiesta and we did bright colors, margaritas, tacos, photo booth, and games including a pinata. It was a blast.

For hers I didn’t really follow a fiesta theme for games:
How old is the bride: picked 9 pictures of her from different ages and people had to guess.

How many hot tamales: put hot tamales in a jar for people to guess
The apron game: made her an apron full of different kitchen gadgets had her walk around and then people had to write what they remembered
And the ring game where people got the colorful rings and had to not say wedding or bride.
I did do a piñata and had people put in wishes, memories, advice what ever they wanted into the piñata and they will open it on their 1st anniversary
    Favors were succulents
