Bridal shower help!

Kristal, on May 13, 2019 at 1:49 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 9
So I don’t want anything crazy. I like the idea of simple relaxing since the bachelorette party is later that night or the next day. My girls are asking me exactly what I want cause they know usually I’m pretty decisive with what I want. Finances family does not tolerate alcohol, which isn’t that big of deal. But I’m really struggling with ideas for this! All help is appreciated!!

Afternoon tea parties are always a good idea. No alcohol needed. Food can be homemade ahead of time to cut down on cost.

Yes to the Tea idea! Or a coffee shop!

Sorry I should have been more specific! Tea and coffee are also on the list of no’s for fiancés family. There will be 20-30 people so I don’t want it to get to expensive. I’m not much of an all eyes on me type of person, large groups tend to make me very nervous. Which I know everyone is there with well wishes but still a bit nerve racking trying to please all and not have an anxiety attack!

They don't drink tea or coffee or they absolutely don't tolerate it? I suppose the tea party idea can be altered for any beverage that is acceptable. Lemonade? Fruit punch?

All the showers I've been to have just been people in a room eating, drinking (which can be amended to only include select beverages), socializingm and playing some shower games, then watching the bride open presents.

I gave my girls some parameters which were mostly dates and times. My offered to pay for the space as she is county employee and we were able to snag a spare event room. And I offered to organize guest list and send out invites for my MOH. After that my only rule was no alcohol due to the county property restriction. Everything is up to them...

That’s pretty much where I am! I gave them some guidelines to keep the future in-laws happy I just have never been to one so I wasn’t sure where to start! I’m sure my girls will have something nice planned and I’m honored they are doing this! Just had to get the ideas rolling for what is acceptable! They don’t know very much about the Mormon religion ☺️

They could use cookie cutters to cut fruit into cute shapes, and then put the fruit in the water to infuse it. It adds a fun flavor and colorful touch. Also there are non-caffeinated teas
