Bridal shower gifts - added address

I think it depends on where you are registered, but they might give people the option to have the specific item shipped to their house, rather than yours. I know Amazon and Bed, Bath, and Beyond give the option to specify where to ship it (or BB&B has in-store pick up as well).

Do you live close to where the bridal shower will take place? My bridal shower in my hometown (which is a 6ish hour drive away) was this past weekend and a couple people shipped their gifts to my house since they didn't know if I was flying or driving / how much space I'd have in my car.

Or maybe they're wedding gifts that people chose to send early? I had a couple of those too!

I would change the address to wear the bridal shower is located if it’s at a house. Local guests will know to bring their gift. If it’s at a venue, you could have it delivered to your house or maybe a trusted bridesmaid/your parents

A couple of the gifts sent to us were people that couldn’t make it to the shower, or people that were traveling to the shower and just figured it’d be easier on all of us , as we were traveling too!

People are given the option to ship to you or to themselves. If they shipped to you, it's because they wanted to send the gift directly. You do not need to lug the gifts to the shower. If they wanted to gift opened at the shower, they would have sent it to themselves to bring to the shower.
