The second idea is to look for designers or dresses you like, and then work backward to find salons that carry that designer. It sounds like you have a pretty good idea of what you want in a gown so that might be the best approach for you. I would suggest Madeleine's Daughter in Portsmouth, NH! I got my dress there and they were so helpful and listened to every comment and concern. My dress was the third one I tried on! Little further north, but so worth it!
