Best Store/site to Make a Registry With?

Elizabeth, on August 2, 2020 at 11:55 PM Posted in Registry 1 15
There are so many stores and online merchants to choose from when creating a registry, it's overwhelming! I'm looking for 2 or 3 places to create a registry at, mainly for household items (vacuums, dish sets, linens, etc). I obviously don't want cheap crap, but I don't want ridiculously expensive places either! I could use some help with recommendations. Anyone have a favorite place they registered with? Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I know someone who used Amazon too and it seemed really easy and convenient for guests! As far as Zola, I did peruse it, but felt a lot of items were overpriced. Was I just being cheap and/or not looking hard enough for deals?

It’s just also cause Zola has a mix of being able to put actual items and gift cards and creating cash funds all in one

Bed Bath and Beyond and Target are the most popular and accessible.

We did Bed Bath and Beyond, Crate & Barrel, and Pottery Barn. We were happy with the quality of everything we got.

It depends on what you like and are comfortable with. I would come up with a short list of possible places and browse some of the items on their websites. If a lot of the things fit your style and needs, go with them. If not, cross it off the list. You should have at least one brick and mortar store option for people who want to buy a gift in person and not online.
We are doing Target and Bed Bath & Beyond. We don’t need a lot of stuff because we’ve been living together for a while, and I’ve been living on my own for the last nine years. I liked the way both stores had their registry functions set up and the apps that go along with them. Ease of use was important to me. We also found everything we wanted between both stores. We avoided Amazon due to sheer amounts of things, ease of use, returns, etc. I liked being able to physically visit the store, and both stores we chose allowed us to scan things with our phone to add them to our lists. It’s just a matter of what works for you!

We did Walmart, Amazon, and Honeymoon Wishes.

I think you have to find a balance between your guests and what you want. As much as I would’ve liked to register at bed bath and beyond or some of the nicer stores, I also knew that neither of our families would be able to afford most of the things from those places. Walmart and Amazon at least give them more flexibility and if they decide to go the route of gift cards, those are both places we consistently use.

I know a lot of brides have had issues with Target in the past, and we've come across a few issues (stuff out of stock, prices changing and saying they are clearance but then going back up to full price, etc) but all in all we've loved their registry and their products. We also have a IKEA registry which I LOVE! Its super easy to use for both myself and our guests and they have lots of great options for different price points. We also have a zola registry, mainly for the cash funds, gift card and group gift options but if it wasn't for that I would do away with it, I can't stand the layout and the products on zola are way too expensive for me to be comfortable with and not my style at all.

I agree with you. It did seem pricey. I did see that guests could compare prices from the other stores they work with. Check this out. https://help.zola.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002838511-does-zola-offer-price-matching-

We did bed bath and beyond and target. Target has a lot of nice things and a lot of it is a very fair price! Plus I love target haha. And then bed bath and beyond had a lot more options for things with some more on the higher end. That way we had a lot of options for guests.

We used Amazon, we found that it was really great! Also, if $500 worth of gifts were purchased then after the wedding you get a 20% discount off any registry items!
