So I love this bedding set, my FH LOVES this bedding set... but I'm not sure about it because it is mostly white. How do you guys feel about white bedding? My mom told me I would regret it the first period I got.

I had this problem too, everything that’s cute is mostly white!! My mom also advised me not to get white but mostly bc we have a dog, my FH is very outdoorsy and is constantly tracking mud inside and has it on his pants and sits on the bed🙄, and just in general white will get dingy after a while. So I got one that still had more white than I wanted but it wasn’t very expensive from TJ Maxx. So if it gets ruined it’s not as big of a deal as if I got the $250 pottery barn one I wanted and he ruined it haha

That is a good point. My FH just finished his residential carpentry certification, so I would not be surprised if he came home dirty and ruined it. We also like this one. The only thing is, it is the same colors we are using in our kitchen, and we are using brown in the bathroom too.

Our bedding, besides a top quilt, is entirely white. We have a dog who sleeps with us and it's super convenient to be able to throw it in the washer with bleach.

We have a light colored duvet cover but dark sheets. You could do the first set and just do charcoal sheets with it! Nobody ever sees the sheets anyway lol

I have grey sheets but an entirely white comforter. We have had no issues, and it has never looked dingy from washing. I would get dark sheets - if there is ever an issue with your period it shouldn't make its way all the way to the comforter!

I want all white bedding so bad but I have a dog and I'm just afraid it'll look dingy and get worn out quickly from bleaching. I would go with the original set you picked out. It shouldn't be too bad.

We have an all white comforter and we haven't had any issues. I think we got it in January. We opted for dark grey sheets and white pillow cases. We got it from Target, I think it was like $100 for the king. We don't have any kids or pets, and both of us have office jobs so no chance of dirt form that. H is a germaphobe so he showers immediately after working outside or golfing or fishing.

I have a quilt that has a navy underside and mostly white with turquoise stripes on the top. I like the underside being a darker color because of menstruation and I have a cat.
Overall where the cat sleeps does get dingy, and my fiance is a mechanic so white anything needs constant washing. To lengthen the time between washes I have a series of throw blankets I place on top of the bed all day when were not sleeping to catch cat hair (or cat puke) and the dirt myself of my fiance might have on ourselves. I recommend the throw blanket idea. If you have guests just take it off and everything looks pristine. Also warmer in the winter!

    I like it!!

This might be too much information, but if my period is heavy, I will usually use a towel when I am sleeping just in case! I have a dedicated towel for this, but makes me feel better!

Not too much info to me! I appreciate the openness because I if people don't mention something you might not ever think of it!

That is a great idea! I could have a specific set of sheets for that time of the month, that way if something gets on it won't be on good sheets.

My cat had ... issues with leaking and I bought washable reusable pads until he recovered. Let me tell you I put those suckers under my sheets for periods or sex! And sometimes fiance is just really sweaty.
I know I have an everything proof mattress cover but washing that thing is cumbersome so the reusable pads help.

We have all sorts of white and light grey bedding and have had no problems with it. FI purchased it as a surprise to me RIGHT after I'd given birth to our now-2-year-old..... so, ahem....... LOTS of bleeding, and it's still fine!

I think white and black are both bad choices, they both show so much. We used to keep black sheets but we're very active in the bedroom and so it didn't turn out to be the greatest decision, White however, my FH is a garbage man and even when he's clean, he's not so I steer clear of both colors as best I can.

I think if you like it get it. You can always wash it and the period issue probably wont really be an issue as long as your sleeping under the comforter but as others have suggested you could always get chuck pads to put under you when its coming!
