BAM! Done deal!

Alright ladies. after 13 months of planning, our day finally arrived! It all went so fast, I barely remember any of it. I don't remember the decor that I spent so much time putting together, or half of the people that were there (I did try to say hi to everyone though) and didn't get much of my cake. Fortunately for me, we had an awesome photographer that captured the feel of everything! Here are some thoughts for you.1. Don't get hung up on having the "perfect day". No matter how much planning you do, it won't happen. 2. Don't stress about the small things. They don't matter and believe me, you won't remember them anyway.3. Enjoy just being able to hang out with your ladies. Unfortunately, I didn't get to hang out with mine as they got roped into helping put stuff together instead. (irritating, but what can you do?)4. EAT!!! for real! I am so grateful that I had an MOH that made me sit and eat. Even though I only had a few bites, it was the best. I didn't realize how hungry I was until that first bite!5. Break a rule *i had champagne in our bridal room while getting ready and that was a no-no from our venue. This was one of the few times that my girls and i got to spend time together. 6. make sure you wear waterproof everything! even with waterproof, i still had to be careful not to cry my makeup off!7. Try to spend a minute by yourself. I wish I could have had just a minute to myself to breathe and soak in the moment.8. Put your foot down on things that are important to you. I spent quite a bit of time and effort on our backdrop only to be told it wouldn't work. I put my foot down and told them to find a way to make it work and they did, which made me so happy cuz it added the romantic feel I was hoping for and tbh, it made for gorgeous photos! Everything else became a "meh" for me and I gave the final say to whoever was putting up decor. 9. Have some cake. Lucky for us, we had a lot left over and were able to get some before we left for our honeymoon.
10. Don't forget to have a great time with your friends and family and of course your new husband/wife! This was one of the most special days and I am so grateful for the ones that were able to come.
