I'm an American and my husband is South African, we live in Cape Town, South Africa. Our wedding was in the mountains on a wine farm (in Franschhoek) , and then we went on safari for our honeymoon and had a photographer do a bridal shoot in the bush. I'm SO GLAD we decided to get married here for a long list of reasons, but it also cost us a fraction of what we would've spent on the states. I planned the entire wedding down to designing stationary with a package from Etsy, organizing rentals, sending timelines out, all our vendors were talented friends, and my husband built our wedding arch. Yay supporting small businesses! The entire day was flawless and magical.

I highly recommend doing a first look! It gave us precious alone time to soak in the day and connect with each other, and express honest emotions without having everyone watching us. It also allowed us to actually enjoy our cocktail hour with guests! Bam! 2 April 2021 in South Africa 1

Congrats! I was going to comment on how gorgeous your pictures are, but I'm 10000% THAT PERSON about DOGGOS.
Your dog is adorable and clearly is the goodest dog and takes the pictures from gorgeous to perfect.

I keep seeing the term BAM, and I'm wondering, is it used to mean, BAM we did the deed! Or is an acronym that stands for something?

BAM stands for Back and Married, like "oh hey I disappeared for awhile but I am back from my wedding and we're married!" But I also sometimes ready it like "BAM! We did it!"
OP, your scenery was gorgeous, your decor was soft and beautiful, and I am jealous that your dog is so handsome and actually looked at the camera for photos! Mine would be giving everything the stank eye and looking everywhere except for the lens.
