My dad passed earlier in the summer from cancer, and he said no matter what, we should have our wedding on our date. Obviously Corona would prevent having the wedding we had initially planned, so we postponed our big wedding to next October, and decided we would still get married this year as originally intended. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and our families and friends really pulled together to make sure this day was special for us. I got my hair done in the morning and my sister and future sister-in-law (MOH and BM respectively) did my makeup. We had our full ceremony in the church, where I wore my wedding dress and got to see my husband's stunned face, and then we took pictures by the beach after. Then we had dinner at a restaurant, where they gave us the private room for our party of 14 people and everyone loved the appetizers we picked out and the entrees they ordered for themselves. The restaurant even made us a beautiful two tiered cake. We didn't hire a photographer for this wedding but my talented cousin took some amazingly gorgeous photos that I just have to share (not sharing some on social media to keep my dress a surprise for next year!).
It was such an intimate day and I'm so grateful to our loved ones who made our wedding day so great. Time to take a break before I start planning the sequel wedding next year!
