Bachelorette surprise

Maggie, on August 9, 2019 at 10:35 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 8
Hey guys! So I just found out that my MOH has planned and booked my bachelorette party for “sometime in March” my Fh, parents, fil’s, and bridesmaids all know when and what it is but I don’t. Is this typical? My sister and a friend of mine all planned their own so idk

I knew the date, where we were going, and where we were staying. I just didn’t know specifics about what was planned when we got there.

I was not told the specifics. However, my BMs told me to block out that particular weekend and to be packed for a weekend get-away via plane.

My MIL and friends haven't told me anything at all. Just told me to block out the entire day and be ready at 10 am.

That's normal! Sometimes the hosts want to make it a surprise for you!

I think it's pretty normal for your MOH or bridesmaids to plan the party and have (nearly) everything be a surprise for you. However, the date shouldn't be a surprise so make sure they tell you at some point so that you don't make plans for that day/weekend!

My FH knows the date and is making sure I don’t plan anything then. However, o have my bridal shower on an unknown weekend in March (also a surprise) and In Laws host a giant st Patrick’s brunch the Sunday before st patrick’s Day and then there’s only two weekends left, one of which is this party so Shawn (fh) just told me to take off all the weekends in March to be safe

I needed to know to take time off at work, so I knew exactly when my bach & shower was. I didn't know what we were doing during the weekend, but I knew when and where it was.
