Bachelorette gift

Meaghan, on September 16, 2021 at 5:54 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5
Hi all! I am a bridesmaid in my friends wedding and I’m unable to attend her bachelorette weekend in Austin. I would really like to send something to the Airbnb house for her and all the girls. I’m thinking yummy snacks / cupcakes / champagne or something like that. I won’t know the address until they are there. Does anyone have ideas of what would be a good idea to send? I really want to support here even though I can’t attend!

Ooooh, former Austinite here! That’s so sweet of you to want to send a celebratory gift in your absence! I’m all about the pastries so here’s a few ideas: 1) Tiff’s Treats - cookie delivery service - you can customize the varieties if you want. Also give you prepackaged options! 2) Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop - cupcake shop that was on Cupcake Wars; pretty yummy! 3) Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches - my personal fave. Delicious, savory or sweet rolls w/ filling.

IDK how familiar you are w/ ATX, but if you’re considering savory options, there are a lot of breakfast tacos (Veracruz, Tyson’s Taco’s, and soooo many others) and Tex-Mex places. I think alcohol delivery/pickup might still be in play too and you can find great margaritas in town (if that’s her jam).

Vendor delivery of course depends on where your friend is staying, too and these are mostly on the East side, or slightly south of downtown. There are plenty of options so I’m sure you’ll find a good one. 😁 Good luck!

I was also going to say Tiff’s Treats, but love her other options. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them.

Not from Austin, but I was also recently unable to attend a bach and I Venmo’d the bride $100 to order champagne on me. Might be easier if you won’t know the address until they get there!

Hey Meaghan, I don't know whether this would be a possibility for you, but if you want to prepare something ahead of time could you possibly ship it to someone who will be attending the party so they could bring it for you? I know that's only an option if one of the guests lives in Austin or is driving in. Sending something non-perishable would also make it a bit easier on you, you could send games to play at the bach, or some type of "party favor" for each of the attendees like a custom koozie or themed t-shirt.
