Almost married party

Melissa, on July 7, 2021 at 4:30 PM Posted in Parties and Events 1 4
Hi! Mine and my fiancé’s parents want to throw us an almost married party since we decided to push our wedding to next year. This will be a 40-50 person party with family and some children and I’m wondering if a cocktail style party is okay or should we do a sit down lunch? Not sure if one or the other is better / more acceptable. We’ll send out invitations to our family/friends who are invited. Thoughts? I don’t know about the proper etiquette.

So almost like a belated engagement party. Either!

I think either or works! A sit down dinner will probably be more expensive - so you'll have to see what your budget is like.

I personally think a cocktail party sounds like fun! Not too formal and just the right amount of fun for the occasion!

Either is fine, there is no etiquette for this.

This sounds so fun!! I'd treat it like an engagement party as well, and personally I'd lean towards cocktail style but you could do either!! ❤️
