Affordable Bachelorette party shirts?

Sully, on November 29, 2018 at 5:40 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 8

Hey all! I'm wondering if anyone has come across cute and fun shirts that would be good for a bachelorette in New Orleans? I am going to have a large number of girls going so I need the shirts to be on the cheaper side so I can afford to get them for everyone. I thought it would be fun to wear them around on one of the days when we are out exploring. We will be there for a long weekend. I wanted to get all the girls some kinda gift in addition to the shirts too for making the trek to NOLA since everyone is going to be flying out, so I want to spend the minimal amount especially since I doubt anyone would wear their shirts again.

I'd check Amazon & Etsy! Amazon has some that aren't personalized but still are bachelorette shirts. I've seen some on Etsy for $10 too.

My girls bought iron-ons off etsy (and did it during the trip), so everyone could where a shirt style that they liked! They all just brought a black shirt! I twas easier than other times when I coordinated sizes (even for 4 girls)

I didn’t look for NOLA, but I saw a ton of beach bachelorette tank tops on Etsy for around $12. I’m sure they have NOLA-themed ones too.

Hi Sully! A bachelorette party in NOLA sounds like it'll be so much fun!! Have you planned out activities you all are going to do down there? Agreeing with the above comments, I would definitely check out Amazon and Etsy! Also check out CustomInk and see if they have any cute designs!

The most cost effective thing is first to see if your women friends want to walk around in matching cute shirts, or would like to wear their own clothes, which they pick out and bring with them . And know that some restaurants and nicer places will turn you away, as inappropriately dressed, or because they screen out rowdy groups ( in their eyes). New Orleans may have a rep as a party town, but outside Mardi Gras and spring break, the people and places set their own standards. People live there, it is not an amusement park, and many places favored by locals do not welcome you in such clothes. I do not see a point to traveling there if you do not want to fit with the people there, or comfortably meet their standard of manners. So maybe your wedding party women would rather dress to fit in, than look like team party. Part of the fun of travel is planning nice things of your own to wear appropriate to the setting.

We haven't planned much yet. We just started talking about it. I just wanted to get started on fun ideas for the girls that come.

Thanks for the info on CustomInk. I'll have to check them out!

Thanks for your viewpoint on this Judith. However, I am well aware of manners. I have traveled all over the world and dealt with people of all cultures/customs. I have also been to New Orleans before and I can envision where we will be going/what we will be doing. I don't plan on making my girls go to fancy restaurants with t-shirts on nor do I expect them to wear them when we go out at night/all weekend. But if we are hanging out day drinking at a bar, I don't think wearing t-shirts would be inappropriate or rude. Outside of a restaurant/club that requires you to wear a specific dress code I don't see someone "not welcoming you in such clothes." I also know my girls well and I think they would love it. I have been to bachelorettes in the past that have done this and it is fun. But I appreciate your opinion. Smiley smile
