Hi, I was hoping to take advantage of Shutterfly's current free pages promo and also a 50% discount coupon that I got in the mail from them, so I spent the last 3 days making a book of our wedding photos, since the sale ends today. Turns out that the free pages doesn't apply to lay-flat books, and neither does the 50%. I was hoping for a $300-$400 book, and it turned out to be nearly $700 (with their current 40% of sitewide promotion)!
So, my questions:
1-I've heard great things about Shutterfly's quality and customer service - what do people think of standard books that they've gotten from there? Do you think they'd work with me at all on my current book?
2-Do they ever run sales that include lay-flat pages in the free pages sales?
3-Do they have even better sales for Black Friday? Would it be a good idea to just wait and see if they offer better sales in the future?
Thanks to anyone who has read this or who could offer advice. Our photographer offers a book for $600, which includes 75 photos. I'm pretty sure I have a little more than that in the one I designed. I'm wondering if I should just go to the photographer anyway now. There's a chance he might give me a better price too. What would you do?
