2 Months to go....

SierraToBeMull, on March 6, 2020 at 1:23 PM Posted in Registry 0 12

Smiley ups

I know I might sound a little rude but I checked my registry and honeymoon fund the other day and nothing is bought from them and our wedding is 2 months away. Is this normal? I know there is still time but id figure people we would want to do things early?

I don't know

I'm stressing about all these stupid little things now lol sorry

I usually see physical gifts only given at a shower. I would assume people would contribute to the honeymoon fund right before the wedding or just bring cash or check to the wedding.

In regards to the honeymoon fund I would not expect that. A lot of people may just get closer because people tend to be last minute.

If guests sent gifts before our event, it was 2-4 weeks before.

Definitely early. If I buy a gift for a shower or other event it’s usually a few days before. Likely people will give cash.

Most humans are pretty lazy, forgetful, and prone to procrastinating. I always either bring envelop with cash to wedding or I log into their honeymoon fund/registry right before I leave to go to wedding venue. Most people are like me, forgetful last minute people.

When is your shower? You will find mind if your gifts bought right before that.

Super normal, we had gifts flood in starting about 2 weeks before the wedding. Even had some bought the night before the wedding

It’s frankly not normal for people to buy gifts ahead of time, unless it’s around / for a shower. Otherwise week of maybe, or even week after. This is definitely not something people do months in advance.

I’d only buy something in advance for a shower, where I know I want to show up with a physical item in hand— even then, I’m probably not buying more than a week before the event. If I’m gifting off the registry for the wedding? Well....I’ve ordered on the way TO the wedding before

I just got first gifts delivered yesterday. Wedding is April 24. Which is great. We needed new dishes, but I'm also not worried about, since a wedding is not just for the gifts on the registry

It's not weird at all for people to have not bought anything yet. My wedding is two months away and we have only gotten one gift but that was from someone who RSVP'd as a no. People usually don't buy gifts until the week or day of.
