Activity for Wifey To Be!

I would like to have my wedding for under 12,000 if possible, and about half of that is going to be for the reception venue that my fiance and I have our hearts set on. Any tips on how to cut costs on other things? Thank you!

My fiance is 22 and I am 21. He is in a five year program so we will both be graduating in May 2011. I am a math education major so there is a chance I may not get a job until August (and hopefully I get a full time job and not just a subbing job)....
