There are two brides in this party :) My soul mate Mary and I have been together for 12 years, living together for 6. Technically married but for obvious reasons, just now making it official. Despite my hesitation towards marriage, Mary took the risk of proposing on my birthday last year. This is when I realized that my "hesitation" was nothing more than a protective barrier. I know realize that I too wanted this all along I just let my own biases get in the way. Now more than ever I know she is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. We are so blessed to have family and friends that not only support and are just as excited as we are to make official. Needless to say, planning a same sex wedding does pose a few additional obstacles but there is no turning back, we've made it to far to give up on LOVE!
