My future wife as I are on a budget and are trying to make center pieces and possibly bouquets ourselves because everything's crazy expensive! Anyone know how to do centerpieces without flowers without it being tacky? We're having an outdoor wedding...

Anyone here done there own? Or plan to? I do not even know where to start. We are doing half high, half low centerpieces. Thinking of silk flowers, to cut costs. Colors are maroon, navy blue, with hints of plush pink, gold and white.

Has anyone created their own backdrop? Using PVC frame? If so, was it sturdy? I am debating if I want to DIY mine with PVC pipe because I'm afraid it will be flimsy.
