Are honeymoon registries a good idea. I love the idea but someone said it's like asking for people to pay for your honeymoon so it's tacky.

We are thinking about having our reception at a hall and having a caterer come in to cater it for us because paying $50-$70 a person with 100 people coming just isn't in our budget. So my question to all of you is do you think it is ok...
