Zesty Gourmet was exceptional. We had a diverse menu and a lot of special requests which were met with extraordinary care. Their food is wonderful. Cannot recommend them enough! -

I had such an amazing experience with Zesty Gourmet! I planned a small wedding within a few months and Leanne was very helpful and great to work with. We got a tasting experience when we booked and it was wonderful, everything was delicious. Our dinner on our wedding day was also delicious, all my guests made good comments. They were also kind enough to arrange special meals for kids and a vegetarian guest. The staff was so kind and helpful, great attitudes, even helped me put up decor in high places. I would recommend their services for any event, and I’d happily book them for future events I plan! -

We used Zesty Gourmet as our wedding caterer at The Manor at Airmont. This was the preferred caterer for the wedding venue, and we signed the contract immediately after the tasting session (literally check in hand and ready for a wet signature so we wouldn't lose them). In fact, it was so good we added on a rehearsal dinner just so we could have the full experience. We loved it so much we've been to a few pop up events just to eat their food again.
My vignette on how I wanted steak at my dream wedding: Initially, I was worried about finding a good caterer. I personally LOVE steak and wanted to eat it at my dream wedding. I usually avoid eating steak or meat at restaurants because I've had too many bad experiences. However, the chef here will deliver the most amazing food, and it is evident in their cooking.
Even if you aren't into steak, everything else on their menu is just as amazing. Prior to finding this caterer, my husband and I had talked to a few other caterers companies that were boring in comparison. With Zesty Gourmet, my husband and I had the hardest time narrowing down our options because everything was so amazing. Hence, we added the rehearsal dinner, late-night after wedding bites, and attended other pop-up events. Highly recommend adding late-night bites because people always get hungry after dancing all night long.
My husband and I loved that we were able to find a caterer who could help blend our families through food. I'm Korean and my husband's family is primarily Italian. Zesty Gourmet was able to deliver food to satisfy both sides of the family.
Lastly, my husband and I loved that we were able to support a local and family-owned business. -

I can't say enough good things about Zesty Gourmet! Leanne and her team are very professional and could not be nicer. They were able to make wonderful meals even with the many restrictions our venue had. The huge charcuterie board was a big talking point at our wedding and how everything they presented was gorgeous!! Leanne worked with us to find a time we could come in for the tasting since we live across the country. Let me just say, that was our favorite part of wedding planning! Everything they make is mouth watering, so it was hard to choose our wedding day menu (a GREAT problem to have!). The bartenders and waiters provided top notch service and they moved very quickly to serve all of our guests. I am so impressed with their team and will be recommending them to everyone! *note: the only picture of the food our photographers took was of the salad, all other pictures are from the tasting* -

*Disclaimer that this review is written by the bride but it is showing up on my husband's account*
I know the title is a bit snarky but food was probably our #1 priority when planning the wedding and WOW did Zesty Gourmet deliver. We had concerns about both quality and quantity of food from prior weddings we've attended and we left every interaction with Zesty Gourmet almost too full of absolutely delicious food (and drinks). They let us try the food before contracting them which was huge for us, and then we also had a full Chef's Tasting to make our menu selections leading up to the wedding. We have had multiple friends and family members tell us we had the best food of any wedding they've been to. Zesty handled all food, staff, and alcohol for us and the drinks were also incredible. We had a full open bar plus two signature cocktails that were very fun (and 'gramable). We also didn't want to do a cake so they did an incredible dessert bar for us with mini pecan pies, cookies, brownies, and apple cobbler with ice cream. Our wedding was at the Manor at Airmont where they are based, and Natallia on that team made a hanging display for the dessert which was so fun. They also can do catering at other locations, not just the Manor. Probably one of my biggest regrets of the wedding is that my dress was so well tailored that after I ate all the incredible appetizers at cocktail hour and our salad course, I was too full to eat all of my dinner but the great team boxed it up for me to eat at the end of the night! They also did late night bites for us which were such a hit and a way better use of wedding budget than favors. The team boxed them up for our guests at the end of the night to take on the shuttle with them back to the hotel too.
We had several guests with dietary restrictions (including a cousin who didn't tell me she was vegetarian until at the welcome event the day before) and they were extremely accommodating of all, which included vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, gluten free, no pork, and nut allergies. They were also able to add extra vegan/ vegetarian entrees the day of despite the late notice.
As part of our package we also contracted the guest rooms at the Manor at Airmont which included brunch the next morning for the immediate family, which was also delicious - scones, breads, muffins, egg dishes, all made in house and with multiple vegan and gluten free options!
Here is everything we were able to enjoy from them: day-of food while getting ready (fruits/ pastries, coffee and tea, lunch of sandwiches and charcuterie, mimosas), full wedding food and drinks (charcuterie board, bruschetta's, and passed appetizers during cocktail hour; salad course, appetizer, and steak for dinner; dessert bar; late night bites which was mini pizzas, french fries, and something else I'm forgetting), full open bar (including signature cocktails and wine served with dinner), and morning after brunch.
If you want great portions of great food, book Zesty Gourmet for your wedding or honestly any other event where you need a caterer. -

Wow! The Zesty Gourmet team goes above and beyond to deliver the most exceptional food experience during your special day / event.
First off, my family and I are a NIGHTMARE when it comes to food restrictions. We have felt many times that we've been too difficult to accommodate throughout the years; however, that was NOT our experience with Zesty Gourmet whatsoever. They didn't bat an eye at our tricky food allergies, but instead made us feel assured and confident that we'd be taken care of.
Not only was the food amazing, but the presentation and service were as well. We've had multiple tastings with Zesty after planning two different family weddings with them and cannot recommend them enough. All of our friends and family have raved over their love of the food at both weddings, too.

I wish I could give them a 10 star review. Working with Zesty Gourmet for my wedding went so smoothly. Leanne was fantastic to work with. She answered all of my questions in a timely and professional manner. If I needed help making a decision, she would help me with it. I have never planned a wedding before, so I had no idea what I was doing. My dad and I both have a gluten allergy. I found it to be somewhat difficult to find a company that could guarantee gluten free appetizers and main meal. There was one item for the appetizers and one for the main course that was not gluten free, but I specifically picked them out so I knew not to eat them. However, I could have done everything gluten free if I wanted to. The tasting was very professional. The staff answered all of our questions and would inform us which items me and my dad could not eat. The servers at the wedding were professional as well. Me and my groom were taken care of very well. If we needed something, whether it be a drink or wanted more food (we had a buffet), the wait staff would get it for us. There were people walking around clearing plates, refilling water glasses, etc. Our guests were taken care of, and they loved the food. I received so many compliments after the wedding about how great the food was.
Leanne and The Chef (her husband) did a phenomenal job at my wedding. I never felt lost or misguided, and if I was confused about something, Leanne helped me figured it out. She was on top of things and made sure everything, stuff I didn't even realize needed to be taken care of, was being taken care of.
I cannot thank Zesty Gourmet enough for the amazing job that they did. -

We sampled a number of caterers, and were surprised to find the place with the food we liked the best, was also the most reasonably priced. When you feel like you've gotten a deal, you keep waiting for the catch... It never came. Leanne was super responsive and easy to work with, when they didn't have an item during our tasting she repeatedly invited us back to the manor to try more items. She made the catering side of the wedding painless and easy. No bride likes surprises from their vendors the day of the wedding, in my case Leanne surprised us with an extra side, and coffee service that weren't ordered, but were very much appreciated. When we'd messed up one of the rental counts, she was there with back up supplies. My guest were constantly commenting on how nice her serving staff were. When the bar was slow, the bartenders were out in the party making sure everyone was good checking to see what they could take care of. There was no typical disaffected college student to be found. Would highly recommend! -

Zesty did the catering for my best friend's wedding and were a dream to work with. Leanne and Mark are super nice and friendly and very easy to communicate with. Their prices were more than fair, especially since the food was amazing. The charcuterie board at the cocktail hour was fantastic, and probably the best wedding hors d'oeuvres I've ever had. The dinner was great, on time, and all service was smooth. At the end of the wedding, I dreaded all the clean up I expected to have to do as maid of honor, but came back into the venue to see they had worked with the rental company and basically cleaned everything up for me already! -

We used Zesty for our August Wedding at the Manor at Airmont. We were introduced to the food and the family at our tasting. We loved every single thing we tasted that day – from apps, to drinks, to main meal, to dessert. The peach cobbler and chocolate chip cookies are the best I have ever had! They were very good about working with us if we wanted a specific type of meat and customizing to our needs. The day of the wedding was above and beyond what we expected. The cocktail hour effort and presentation was a décor element just sitting there. I also had multiple people come up to me and say how good their meal was. We loved having Zesty take care of us on our special day! -

Zesty Gourmet was amazing! I needed them last minute (2 weeks before the wedding), and they did such an amazing job in helping me get everything sorted. During the wedding, the servers were AMAZING! They were so nice & so attentive during the whole night! I would recommend them to anyone!! -

Carly Sent on 04/29/2013We found Zesty Gourmet through an ad on craigslist, and I was immediately blown away by Leann (owner) who took the time to speak with me on the phone about how their services would work with my small budget. It was like talking to a good friend who just happened to have years and years of food experience. Then I got a chance to work with Solitaire, who manages the logistical side of the business. Solitaire was the most responsive, professional, and thoughtful person I worked with through the entire wedding planning process. She offered great input, dealt with all of my crazy e-mails, and was honest with me about every detail.
When considering other catering companies, we never saw the openness that we saw with Zesty Gourmet. We even had a company that tacked on an extra $1000 in the contract for no identifiable reason. With Zesty Gourmet, we were invited into Leann and John's home for a tasting and were always treated with love and respect.
When it came down to the wedding day, they gave us exactly what we hoped for and more. Not only did we get the amazing menu we planned on for a cocktail reception, but they actually surprised us by adding the "Lolichops" (lamb chops) because they knew how much we had loved them during the tasting. The result was a wonderful cocktail party with more than enough food and great bar tending service for basically half the cost of what we found anywhere else. After the wedding, Solitaire even reached out to me about some items they had found at the end of the night to make sure they got returned.
Our wedding day was really special, and Zesty Gourmet helped us throw a fun and unforgettable party. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a catering company for an event, Zesty Gourmet truly goes above and beyond.
(P.S. - We are eating cupcakes as we write this. Ask about getting cake through Arielle Homan, she provided a delicious set up for the cake/cupcakes!) -

Zesty Gourmet provided excellent bites for cocktail hour and delicious courses for our wedding reception. We would highly recommend this catering company for any special event! Aside for our big day the menu tasting exceeded my expectations. Guests were able to sample ALL menu options. We still miss their peach cobbler and “lollichops!” -

I was excited to work with Zesty because I had read great things about them and after meeting Leanne and the chef in person at our tasting, was pleased with their politeness, willing to cooperate and their food. However, things went downhill from there. When we adjusted our guest count 4 weeks before the wedding, they said we had to pay a $500 change fee even though the contract stated we were allowed to change our count 4 weeks before the wedding date. After that was resolved (after much painful back and forth communication), there were many issues dealing with the rental company they suggested (Ashburn Rentals). They did not communicate with each other about rental numbers and changes like they said they would, and this miscommunication lasted all the way up to the morning of the wedding when there weren't enough champagne flutes present. To top it off, the service and food quality was horrible. It took an extremely long time for everyone to get food, there was no order to how they were serving, and our food was COLD. As the bride and groom, we were first to be served and even ours was cold. My mom even asked one of the servers why it was taking so long to get food and he replied "i don't know it's chaos back in the kitchen." Not comforting. Also, they ran out of food!!! Some people did not get a side dish at all, and the last table informed me that they only got bite sized portions of their meals. This is completely unacceptable. The servers were also clearing drinks off tables before guests even got to finish them, forcing them to go get new glasses of wine wasting alcohol and glasses. Overall, extremely unhappy with the entire situation. It caused a great deal of stress for us throughout the wedding process and I feel terrible for my guests after finding out they had bad food experiences.
