Scenic, intimate and delicous!
We had a small intimate wedding with 16 guests at the York Harbor Inn this October. Our wedding coordinator, Emily, was wonderfully responsive and helped us tailor our perfect day. We were able to spread out and enjoy the bridal suite in the Harbor Cliff suite with all needs being met. All staff were helpful and welcoming, and the service during dinner was attentive and friendly. Our guests were wowed by the elegant dining room and warmth of dinner together in the beautiful Peacock room. The food was especially delicious and enjoyed by all! It was a great overall experience and we would highly recommend this venue for a similar celebration. -

My wife and I were married at the York Harbor Inn in August 2023 and it was a great experience start to finish. Our ceremony was at the Hartley Mason Reserve across the street which was very reasonably priced (through the York Harbor Inn) with breathtaking views of the coast. Our cocktail hour was in the Main Dining Room, reception in the Yorkshire Ballroom, and after party in the Ship Cellar Pub, with a total guest count of ~120.
Emily was amazing to work with and made the process really easy, being available to us throughout the year leading up to the wedding, including answering all our random emails and phone calls throughout that time. Leading up to the wedding, she helped make it very clear which decisions we needed to make and was organized with all the details, including showing us the difference in cost for certain options. She is clearly passionate about the work she does and was very knowledgeable about the different options available to us leading up to the wedding.
We were married on a Saturday and the process for the weekend was simple and easy, dropping off all decorations on Friday afternoon at check-in and the rest was taken care of by Emily's team as far as day of set-up. Emily was also helpful during the rehearsal, making sure everyone knew where they needed to be for the day of. Our wedding day itself could not have run smoother. Every detail had been considered and my wife and I were able to enjoy the day fully! Emily and her team met our vendors as they arrived and coordinated making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time. We loved the flow between the different spaces throughout the night and enjoyed the patio space available during the reception as a place for our guests to step out and get some fresh air.
The venue overall was great and our guests loved it. The variety of rooms available was helpful to accommodate all types of guests and guest budgets. Our guests also loved the location with the beach only a few minute walk down the road, the cozy Ship Cellar Pub right downstairs for grabbing a drink, and the stunning views and walking paths across the street. Our guests also raved about the dinner, with many commenting on how they were used to 'wedding food' at other weddings that was 'just OK' and being taken aback at how delicious the food at the York Harbor Inn was (our dinner options were Filet Mignon and Baked Stuffed Haddock).
Finally, it was so clear throughout the process that the staff at the York Harbor Inn had thought through every detail. There were so many nice touches including cleaning the bridal suite between getting ready that morning and coming back after the wedding and leaving us a bottle of champagne for afterwards. We never felt like we had to worry about oversights or forgetting anything because we were in such great hands!
We could go on and on but are both so glad we chose the York Harbor Inn for our wedding venue and look forward to returning to celebrate our anniversary! -

A million stars
Seriously, my now husband and I would give YHI a million stars if possible. When we got engaged in 2020 we knew we wanted to get married on the water, somewhere in York - a place near and dear to our hearts. The moment we toured YHI, with Paul, we KNEW this was OUR VENUE. We had to have it! Paul and the team - Emily, Bridget (so many to name) worked so diligently to ensure our day was the most special day of our lives. We will never be able to properly thank them for all their hard work. The venue is GORGEOUS - our ceremony was in the park across the street overlooking the ocean, cocktail hour in the front dining room area and our reception in the ballroom. We even had the option (which of course we went with) to rent out their ship cellar pub for the after party which was incredible and so much fun for our guests. Emily helped us work out the tiny kinks along the way and has an eye for detail when it came to setting up the space for us. Paul, one the most incredible humans we've ever met and had the pleasure of working with, was alongside us every step of the way. He made sure we were comfortable, hydrated, happy and having fun! He takes his job so seriously but in the most professional and fun way possible. All of our family and friends had the best things to say about their personal experiences with him on our big day and we couldn't agree more. All of our guests were SO impressed by how organized and timely the day was. The food was DELICIOUS - one of the many highlights - including the late night hot dogs & nachos ordered in the pub. If you're looking for a beautiful venue, look no further and expect GREATNESS when you're in Paul's hands. -

I wish there were more stars to select! My then fiancé and I decided to have our wedding at the York Harbor Inn (YHI) back in December 2019 after meeting with Paul and falling in love with the gorgeous seaside location. After a few date changes, we were finally able to have the wedding of our dreams this past weekend! Throughout the last almost two years, the staff (Paul, Amy, Bridgit, Cheyenne, and more) have been unbelievably supportive, understanding, and accommodating. They made the entire process a true joy and always told us that our wedding would happen and that it would be great! Honestly because of the York Harbor Inn we had the BEST wedding – the staff made sure all our 100 guests were attended to at all times (including my 93-year-old grandmother). They kept us on time to ensure we had time to chat with each guest and dance too! The Harley Mason reserve made for beautiful ocean front pictures and our guests got to watch the photo session from cocktail hour in the Main Dining Room. We also had an after party at the Ship’s Cellar Pub where we had amazing nachos and were able to spend more time with friends and family. Since our wedding, we have received more compliments about the delicious food, phenomenal service, the beautiful ballroom, and the lovely accommodations from our guests. We would HIGHLY recommend the YHI team to anyone looking to have the wedding of their dreams in beautiful Maine. We can’t wait to go back! -

We had the "Lighthouse Package" wedding at Mason Hartley Reserve / York Harbor Inn for our intimate wedding and we are so pleased that we went with this venue. Paul and Amy are both amazing, and even though our wedding was tiny and there would be another wedding the next day, they made us feel like we were the only wedding of the year. The food was absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD and everyone raved and raved about it. I think our guests really enjoyed being able to choose from a menu at the reception instead of RSVP'ing to a meal a month before. The service staff was very prompt, friendly, and responsive. The hotel accommodations are amazing and everyone who stayed at the hotel loved it. We also had an electric violinist play, and even though the Hillcroft Room isn't huge, the acoustics were perfect for her amp and everyone could still carry on a conversation. This has been such a stressful process planning this but if I had known how well it would have turned out I would not have needed to worry at all! Absolutely no regrets and everything was perfect! -

Great food? Check! When you think of wedding food, it’s a cliche for a reason you don’t expect much. However, the food was just so amazing, we had so many compliments about how tasty the food was.
Beautiful location? Double check!! The ceremony was held at Hartley Mason Reserve. The grounds are just lovely and that view is perfection.
Paul and Cheyenne are just a dream team. I had nothing to worry about on the wedding day. Everything was handled for me and it was so stress free! The whole planning process was just so streamlined and everyone there was absolutely the sweetest and kindest people. With there help I had a dream wedding, seriously I just want to pinch myself at how beautiful and perfect it was. -

On July 12, 2019 we had our reception at the York Harbor Inn, after having our ceremony across the street, overlooking the ocean at the Hartley-Mason Reservation. Cheyenne Wright was our wedding planner/coordinator, and she was amazing. She took us through every step of the process with patience and a treasure trove of information. All of the decisions were ours, of course, but made through her gentle guidance. She became a dear friend through the process.
The room where we had the reception was elegant, while not stuffy. We had a smaller wedding (about 40), but they handle larger weddings as well. They worked with us to decorate the facility in just the way we had dreamed. The food was wonderful--everything from the appetizers to the salads, side dishes and amazing entrees.
Every one of our guests raved about the York Harbor Inn. Beyond Cheyenne, Paul Gagnon the Guest Services Manager and Greg Silva who oversaw the food and restaurant aspects, were wonderful.
I cannot praise the York Harbor Inn enough! Please do not book your wedding in the York/Kittery area without first speaking with Cheyenne! -

We were a completely travel in/destination wedding. We booked the YHI one year prior to our wedding and only stopped in twice when at home for business travel.
Our day was simply perfect. If you want to truly enjoy your day, Cheyenne and Paul are your wedding planners. We had a unique package which was a first for YHI — Morning Ceremony, Brunch, afternoon break, New England Clambake in the evening and after party in the Tavern. Our day ran smoothly, they were amazing with special requests, food was epic, staff is now family, dream team of vendors in their recommended list, nothing but guest compliments, and we all hugged at the end of our weekend.
You will not have a single regret if you choose the YHI. We were truly in love with everything from the location, rooms, food, service and recommended vendors. The value you get at the YHI is like nothing you will experience at other venues!
Enjoy your day! Don’t miss out on perfection!

Obviously the York Harbor Inn is one of the most gorgeous ocean side wedding venues there is! I got married there the day of a brutal nor’easter, at first I was crushed that I couldn’t have my ceremony outside but Paul, Cheyenne, and Greg went above and beyond to make sure my wedding was still exactly how I pictured. They allowed me to get married in the dining room by the windows with the gorgeous ocean view. I had worked with the 3 of them over the course of about a year and they honestly made me feel like I was the only bride they were working with. They are so so talented in running a beautiful smooth wedding, and having such experienced talent on your team really takes away a lot of stress! The ballroom was gorgeous the food was amazing. The York Harbor Inn is honestly the best wedding venue and I couldn’t be happier with my wedding day!! -

YHI provides what we came to call the dream team...Cheyenne, Greg, and Paul will be part of your wedding planning journey and you are BLESSED to have them. This team has been working together for years, is professional, and will execute your vision flawlessly. They are kind, organized, and fun! In addition to the dream team you get so the beautiful INN, the option to get married in the park across the street overlooking the ocean, amazing food, delicious drinks, a friendly staff and if your lucky a video made by Greg with highlights of your wedding day! There were thoughtful touches throughout the day entire process. I promise if you choose YHI you will not be disappointed. Thanks again to everyone who helped with our day!

We had our ceremony across the street on York Harbor Beach and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. Casey was the most unbelievable wedding coordinator, she went above & beyond for us with every little detail for our wedding. Everything was set up beautifully in the main dining room and it looked amazing with the sun beaming in from all the windows. Paul & Greg did an amazing job in assisting with everything so that the room looked just how we envisioned it to be. Everything was perfect from the service to the food to the decorations. It felt like we were having our wedding at our family's house and not doing business with a vendor. We can't thank them enough for making our wedding day absolutely perfect and magical in every way!!
