2020 wedding
Yessie is amazing!! She made me feel so comfortable. I first went to Yessie for my engagement photos and loved my hair and makeup! Both my hair and makeup photographed so perfectly. I hired her for my wedding in July of 2020, however we had to move our date due to covid. We had to move it twice and she was so flexible and willing to roll with the changes. During my makeup trial before the wedding she helped me put my final look together which was a dream. She made me so comfortable considering I was not able to bring anyone to my trial due to covid regulations. The day of the wedding she was so thoughtful, she not only my makeup artist but I felt as though she was a friend helping with all of the final touches to even helping buttoning my dress up! She made my mom and bridesmaid feel so comfortable and beautiful. My mom was a little worried about getting her makeup done, and now she can’t wait till covid is over in hopes of going back to Yessie for makeup lessons, as do I!! Yessie made my look complete and made me feel so beautiful. I could not recommend her enough, I am so thankful for her! -

Beautiful bridesmaid
Yessie did my hair and makeup for a wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. I have never felt as beautiful then with Yessie’s expert skills. I don’t wear make up but what Yessie did made me still feel natural! Can I have her all the time !! -

Kristin Sent on 01/10/2018Yessie is amazing! I couldn't have picked a more perfect person to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. She is incredibly talented, easygoing, friendly, and professional. I had the misfortune of getting a very bad tan line a few days before my wedding and she was able to fix it (and save me from a lot of stress!) I cannot recommend her enough to other brides!

Originally, during the trial, I had wanted and updo because I was afraid that the weather was going to be super hot... but then once I got my dress after the final fitting and the weather was cooling off for the week, I really wanted my hair half up and half down with my dress and asked if it was possible to change it and she was all for it! On the big day, she spent extra time on my hair and wanted to make sure my curls were set for the night... and they definitely were... even the next morning! I wish my hair could look like what she did everyday! Highly recommend booking her! -

Ashley Sent on 04/23/2012What a gift Yessie was to my wedding. Not only is she an incredible talent, truly caring about your important day, but she is a joy to be around. Her professionalism is astounding - I was able to meet with her months before I actually paid for her services, where she gathered information on my likes, dislikes, wedding as a whole, and even my bridesmaids. I even left that meeting with a few tips and tricks to use in my daily life.
Yessie also made a point to book a trial run with me on the day of my shower. She came to my home to help me get ready, arriving early and setting up neatly and concisely. I ended up having my bachelorette party that evening as well, and her makeup stood the test of time: Not even a blotting paper was used from when she put it on me at 10a.m. until I took it off at 2:30 the next morning. Amazing! I ended up booking her skills as a wedding day gift for my 4 bridesmaids, and they were absolutely thrilled. She even gave me a discount for booking so many faces. Airbrush, lashes, the whole nine yards, and my wedding pictures couldn't look better. She fit right in in our dressing room, making everyone comfortable and beautiful.
If you want to be gorgeous on your wedding day, looking exactly the way YOU always envisioned, Yessie Libby at Yessie Makeup Artistry is absolutely the girl for you. I'd recommend her work to anyone. Book her before it's too late!! -
Morgan Sent on 10/21/2017Yessie did the most amazing job on my hair and makeup for both my wedding and engagement shoot! I wanted completely different looks for both the engagement shoot and wedding, and Yessie nailed both of them. She's not only the sweetest thing on the planet, but she really listens to what you want, and uses her expertise to make that look work for you. My makeup stayed put on both days, through extreme heat and wind (and tears from bright sun!) in the desert at my engagement shoot, to 12 hours of hugs, food, happy tears and dancing the night away at my wedding. I can't recommend Yessie enough, she will make you look and FEEL amazing for whatever event you book her for!!

The first person you see on your wedding day is your hair and make up artist. They help you start you day on the right foot, pump up the mood, make you feel beautiful and take away your stress. Yessie brought in a friend to help do make up & the both of them were the PERFECT combo for my morning - catered to my chill happy vibes, got along with my bridal party and really made the experience feel real, authentic & exciting. My bridal party and myself expressed our vision for hair and make up and they both really took it to heart and followed directions while helping bring it to life in a better way than we imagined. They accentuated our natural beauty and made us all look and feel like queens! Yessie was on time to take care of myself, 4 bridesmaids, 2 flowers girls, 2 moms and my grandma - leaving enough time for us to have some champagne before getting the day started. Highly recommend Yessie! -

I had such a large wedding party that she brought an assistant with her so she could help do bridal party while Yessie just focused on me... she made me feel like a princess! Definitely would recommend her to any bride! She was very flexible with time and location, she went from my house to my sister house then to the venue with us just to make sure everyone was ready and beautiful! -

Please take this as a warning to future brides... Yessie full ghosted myself and several other Spring 2021 brides for our weddings. We were left in a lurch and forced to find other people to do our makeup/hair.
Here is the context:
• I connected with Yessie in August 2020 for my May 2021 wedding. Her reviews were great and I loved her portfolio
• We chatted via phone and she was lovely! So helpful and wonderful and her prices were reasonable compared to other Seattle artists.
• I paid her a $200 deposit.
• In February 2021 I emailed Yessie to ask about setting up my trial. No response.
• I emailed her again early March. No response.
• I called and left a voicemail on her cell phone. No response.
• I texted. No response.
• I texted a second time and got a response saying she was out of town for some major family issues and that she would reach out to me in a week. Never heard from her.
• 3 weeks go by so I text again. No response.
• I texted 2 more times. No response.
• My wedding was now 6 weeks away so I scrambled to find another makeup/hair artist.
• The new artist told me that this wasn’t Yessie’s normal character BUT it had happened to dozens of other brides too. My new artist was booking approx. 5 of Yessie’s brides PER WEEK who had also been ghosted.
• None of us have been able to get our deposit money back.
I understand that she may be going through some personal events but fully ghosting this many brides is uncalled for. If you are a future bride, I would look elsewhere.
