Sara photographed our wedding in November 2023. She did an amazing job. The photos were absolutely stunning! But it was much more than that. Throughout the entire planning process, Sara was very helpful, professional and responsive. She was always available for questions and gave us an example wedding timeline as well as a questionnaire to fill out to make sure everything went smoothly. On the day of the wedding, she was able to put me at ease which was huge for someone who hates being the center of attention--she was so friendly and kind. (And she was also super patient with the kids in our wedding party). The whole process felt as natural as it could. Several of my bridesmaids commented how great Sara was compared to other weddings they'd been a part of. We can't recommend Sara and Wolfcrest Photography enough! -

Sara photographed our engagement and wedding photos and she was absolutely amazing! She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera when we were nervous at first for the engagement shots, and that helped us get even more excited for taking wedding day photos with her. She is very communicative, patient, excited for her clients, friendly and fun to talk to, down to earth, and organized, all of which we really appreciated during a time when we were a bit stressed while wedding planning. We received all our photos extremely quickly and they are BEAUTIFUL. She caught moments we'll never forget in a magical way and we are so grateful. She got every detail we asked for and then some. All of the shots are so thoughtful, creative, and beautiful in terms of arrangement, colors, timing...we could go on. 10/10 would recommend Sara for any photo needs you have, and we'll reach back out to her for any future moments we'd like photographs of! -

We are SO happy that we hired Sara to be our wedding photographer. Our wedding planner connected us with Sara early in the process, and from just two calls it was clear she our top choice. We officially started working with her one year out from our wedding, in February 2022. I shared my vision with her of "garden vibes" engagement photos, since we were having a winter wedding, and wanted a different feel to our engagement photos. She had great ideas about where to go, how to get cherry blossoms photos not at the Tidal Basin (National Cathedral!) and made us feel so comfortable during our whole engagement shoot. Leading up to our wedding, she checked in regularly, worked closely with our wedding planner, and was so professional and helpful. On our wedding day, she made everyone feel comfortable, and captured the day so well. We also got sneak peaks back the next day, and the whole album less than a month after the wedding. Sara is the BEST and you will not regret hiring her as your photographer.

We are so grateful that we were introduced to Sara by another vendor we were working with during our wedding planning. From our first conversation we were so happy to know that we would be in great hands to capture our big day!
We first met Sara at our engagement shoot and we’re blown away by the breathtaking pictures she captured! She has a vision and she captures it in the most beautiful way! When it came to our wedding day she was there promptly and ready to shoot for the day! We had a blast taking pictures with the wedding party in the bridal suite! She was great at directing the group and keeping the feel of the day natural and fun!
Sara and her assistant photographer were such a great team and we were so relieved that we went with her photography for our big day! -

We love sara and wolfcrest photography- you will too!
Last week we got our wedding photos and they were beyond beautiful. It's so difficult to pick which we want in our wedding album. We also had photos of our rehearsal dinner and and engagement shoot! Sara- you are incredible and are way more than a photographer. You really went above and beyond to understand us as a couple and that is obvious in our photos. Thank you for making photos easy and fun and seem less of a chore on our wedding day. It was more like hanging out with our friend all day! We will cherish our photos for our lifetime and we look forward to the day our children showcase our wedding photos at their wedding. And we look forward to having you take future family photos...in due time! -

My wife and I considered no fewer than 30 photographers before we finally chose who we were going to work with. The decision was the most time-consuming choice we made - every photographer had a unique style, and prices varied wildly. We were meticulous and judicious in whittling down our list of options, enumerating the pros and cons of each. At the time, I took pride in our rigor but in retrospect I find it laughable.
I knew from the moment we added Wolfcrest to our list that Sara and her work was the best. In fact, it stood out so superior to our other considerations that to even think of pursuing her as our wedding photographer felt like a guilty luxury. Imagining our own memories framed through the lens of Sara's composition felt so indulgent that we were reluctant to even consider the possibility initially, and so we continued the 'process'. But when we finished our lengthy exercise, every pro and con enumerated, inevitably it only could have ever been Wolfcrest.
Now, our photos read like a story book. Wolfcrest elevated our wedding's niche theme to an otherwordly romantic event. In these photos, my wife resembles a renaissance ideal of beauty. Looking at our photos now feels like the guilty pleasure I knew they would be the first time we saw what Sara can do.

Working with Sara and her team was the best decision we made. Sara is a pro at what she does. Our package included engagement photos and good thing it did—that session with Sara prepped us for our wedding day! Sara knows just how to get a couple comfortable in front of a camera. She was so helpful, encouraging, and just all around sweet. Shes extremely diligent, and looked into all of the potential engagement shoot locations we wanted. She made all the calls to ensure everything was in order. As for the wedding day—we couldn’t be happier with our photos. I’m not lying when I say each shot is my favorite. Receiving the usb package at the end with a number of printed photos was so wonderful. Sara is so great, I recommend her to all my newly engaged friends. She’s shooting my girlfriend’s wedding next year as a result! -

Sara is SO amazing!!
She contacted me(makeupbysac) about doing the makeup for a bridal boudoir shoot back in March and I am SO glad that I said yes! I am beyond OBSESSED with the pictures from the shoot! I put them on my website, Instagram, Facebook page, and google listing! They are some of my favorite pictures from all of the shoots I worked on!
She also recommended me to one of her brides and it was so wonderful to get to work with her on a wedding as well! I highly recommend hiring her for any photos you need taken! She is so much fun and her talent is incredible! ❤️ -

There aren't enough kind words to say about Sara! Not only is her photography amazing she is super sweet, down to earth and personable with everyone she meets. I am not a bride, but I am a wedding planner and have worked with many photographers over the years and know a good photographer when I meet them. Sara and I have worked together on a few occasions and she is always patient, professional and kind. On a personal side; she has taken our family photos and really knows how to make you feel comfortable and "connect" with the camera.
Book Sara...not only will you have gorgeous wedding photos, but you will get to work with one of the sweetest photographers in the industry. You will want her took shoot all your life events! -

Working with Sara at Wolfcrest Photography was literally a dream come true. I had been following her work ever since she photographed my friend's wedding a few years ago, recommended her to another friend so that I could see her work in action again, and swore that one day we would have her shoot our own wedding. When we got engaged, the very next day I was working to put that dream into motion. Wolfcrest Photography was the first vendor that I reached out to, before I even had a venue picked, as we knew the date we wanted to get married right away.
Sara was very responsive. Even though we didn’t have a venue, so our date couldn’t have been 100% guaranteed, she let us know that she was available and would be able to book us once we confirmed with the venue. She sent packaging details, etc., all within 24 hours of my first inquiry. Once we locked down a venue, I confirmed with her within the hour. Our package included engagement photos, so we then worked on setting those up.
I don't know about all of you, but the first few minutes of posing in front of a camera in public is awkward. Thank goodness for Sara's great direction and good humor - all of the weirdness faded away fast, and we were romantically posing like pros in no time. Our engagement session near home was perfect and everything we wanted it to be. She did a great job of not only visually capturing the moments, but you can really feel the moments when you look at her photos. We had a lot of people mention that they could really feel the love and laughter when going through the photos and I love that.
Throughout the whole planning process, she was always on time, responsive (no matter how far in advance of our wedding the email was sent), and very organized. She laid out the timeframe for our wedding and it flowed beautifully. The wedding day photos were as much of a hit as the engagement photos – through every photo I remember exactly how happy I felt in that moment, which is truly magical. The bridal party and my family all commented on what a great job she and Carley, her second shooter, did. The golden hour light was beautifully captured and takes my breath away every time I look at this photos! I would hire them all over again, if given the chance.
I will continue to highly recommend Wolfcrest Photography to anyone who is in need of a wedding and/or family photographer.

The Absolute Best Photographer...and Person!!
If you're getting married in the Virginia/DC area - look no further than Sara! Sara did a beautiful job at my sister's wedding so when it was my turn, picking our photographer was the easiest decision we had to make. And holy guacamole did Sara deliver. This is a long review, but I think it's only fair to elaborate on just how great she is.
First of all, Sara is one of the sweetest people to work with (I feel like we'd be friends if we had met outside of this!). She makes taking lots of romantic photos with your significant other feel really comfortable and natural. And to make sure to adequately prep us, she sent us a guide book to taking good photos. There were so many helpful tips in there that we would have never thought of on our own. Before we took any pictures, she also got to know "us" (via Facetime) and our style which helped us feel comfortable with her and I think helped her pull out not only the best side of us, but also the "real" us while we were taking photos. For instance, at one point she told me husband to whisper 3 things in my ear to make me laugh...and she captured a great photo of it. The important part about this is that whenever I see that photo, I can remember what my husband whispered and that it GENUINELY made me laugh - it wasn't a forced or fake laugh, it was real. So that picture always makes me smile.
With Sara, things just felt so effortless. We told her some things we liked and without ever having to push harder on it or say "well actually I was hoping we could do it this way"...she truly listened that first time and worked REALLY hard to capture what we were hoping to get (of course - in her classic/timeless style, which is exactly what we wanted). That made us feel so comfortable and confident in her ability to capture us the way we had envisioned, that we felt like we were truly able to let loose.
The best way to exemplify this is that we really liked the idea of getting engagement photos in the snow, but also realized it's basically impossible to plan that. So we were set to do a weekend shoot in March, but we got lucky with snow on the Wednesday beforehand. Sara was so flexible she actually proactively reached out suggesting moving the shoot to Thursday to try and capture us in the snow before it melted away by the weekend (which it did). We were elated at the idea and immediately agreed! But we totally underestimated just how COLD shooting in the snow would actually be. There were strong 25 degree winds and all of our fingers and toes were frozen by the end, but Sara was a trooper and didn't complain once. Instead, she maintained an amazingly positive spirit and still made sure to capture the types of photos we told her we were hoping to get - including one overlooking a pond (which only meant venturing further out into the cold, wet snow). If we were with anyone else, we would have easily bailed on the idea because we felt so bad subjecting her to the cold...but she was encouraging and made us laugh while we were all freezing and was even willing to stay extra long to capture the perfect golden hour shots. We also had told her before that we liked warm and glowy photos with sun coming through. Mind you...it was a partly cloudy day and she STILL was able to capture several glowy shots! When we saw our engagement photos we were in awe of what we she was able to do.
I didn't think it could get better than the engagement shots until we saw our wedding photos. She and her second photographer worked hard to get so many amazing shots...including incredible sunset photos, candids, party shots, details, first look, everything! We've received countless compliments on our photos and couldn't be more impressed/thankful to have had Sara capture our day. And to make the big day go as smoothly as possible, she sends each couple a questionnaire ahead of time to gather important details and so that you can specify certain pictures that you definitely want her to capture.
In addition to the beautiful photos, she also creates an amazing blog with tons of photos from the shoots (engagement and wedding being separate) with write-ups that really make it special. The blog posts are easy to share with family and friends if you don’t want to send them the full album of everything that you receive. Her pricing is also reasonable, and for the excellent service she delivers, we just want others to work with her because of how much joy she brought to us! :) -

As a newly engaged couple coming down from the excitement of getting engaged and really getting into the weeds of planning a wedding let me offer you some advice, BOOK WOLFCREST PHOTOTGRAPHY! It is that simple! Sara is everything you want in a photographer. She is kind, has a great eye for light, rolls with unforeseen hiccups and can also command an unwieldy wedding party to grab the right shot. She was a dream to work with and Christopher and I could go on and on but one of the most amazing things is that your work speaks for itself. Thank you Sara for capturing the joy of your engagement and all the love on our wedding day. We hope to continue having you capture all the milestones life will bring.
