Perfect intimate wedding

If you you are looking for a charming place this is the spot! even though it ended up raining the place looked spectacular and the service was great. Kimberly was extremely helpful!! The food was good the salmon was the winner! Honestly the place was perfect couldn't ask for more that was in their hands. Cant control the rain but manage to do the ceremony outside and proceed to the reception.

Wonderful Winterbourne

You really get a bang for your buck here! Not only is this place absolutely beautiful but the food is amazing and the Manager/Coordinator is absolutely wonderful. Kimberly is amazing and so kind. I would have my wedding here a million times over. Our day was wonderful. I recommend The Winterbourne very highly.

Absolutely amazing!!

We got married here!! This house is absolutely beautiful, warm and welcoming.. and I can’t recommend it enough. Great location, beautiful inside area, outside garden area and plenty of parking, beautiful view. It was my dream venue and I’m in love with it. The food was sooo delicious and everything was so clean organized. the manager Kim, is amazing and was so helpful the entire way through. She organized the day and made sure that everything was absolutely great!! I cannot thank enough to her! Wish we could go back to our wedding day !

The best venue ever

After cancelling a big barn wedding we decided we wanted an intimate wedding and a friend recommended the Winterbourne Inn. It was the best day, Kim was the best to work with, it was laid back, it was flexible. Kim offers day or coordinator services and she was so impressive as was how the venue looked the day of! I loved everything about out day and have no regrets :)

Stress Free.

We went with The Winterbourne because it fit our theme and was the perfect size for our small intimate wedding. Due to covid, there were no tasting events, so we had no idea what the food would be like, which was extremely stressful for me leading up to the wedding because the food was my BIGGEST concern. Let me tell you, all that stress was for nothing. The food was excellent. And Kim was so helpful the entire day, ensuring everything was done precisely the way we wanted it. Thank you so much to everyone at The Winterbourne for making our day so magical!

Southern, historic, romantic charm

The perfect venue! We were looking for a southern, charming, historic venue and the Winterbourne Inn checked all the boxes! The view from the ceremony can’t be beat, and cocktail hour on the porch was perfect. The indoor space was just right for our reception of about 80 people. DEFINITELY hire Kimberly as your Day of Coordinator. From the moment we arrived on our wedding day, she handled 100% of everything. We were able to sit back, relax, and enjoy! She was also such a help throughout the planning process, answering our (hundreds of) questions quickly and providing tons of helpful insight. She made sure that we, the bride and groom, got exactly what we wanted, and that the day was exactly what we had imagined. The food was outstanding, and the service was as well. Thank you so much for making our wedding day absolutely perfect!

Absolutely amazing!

We just had our wedding at the Winterbourne and it was wonderful! The sky was clear blue and we got some amazing pics of the sunset as the ceremony started. I cried the entire time, and I wouldn’t have done it anywhere else!! 10/10 recommend!

A wonderful night

Beautiful venue / reception

Gorgeous venue to have your wedding. Right on the river so my wedding pictures turned out absolutely beautiful. Diana was my day of coordinator and she was amazing! Very attentive. Making sure I had food, refreshments, spoke with all my vendors. She’s amazing and I had a wonderful wedding

Best Venue Ever

The Winterbourne was perfect for our wedding. Staff was courteous and professional. Kimberly was our day-of coordinator and she was AMAZING. Pitched in and tied favors, decorated chairs and made sure every detail was tended to. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue.

The Winterbourne was absolutely the perfect venue for my wedding. The grounds are charming, the porch is an amazing area for guests to mingle and enjoy a different space, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced (especially the chicken parmesan! So good). Most of all though, our day-of coordinator Kimberly and our bartender (her husband) were absolutely amazing. Kimberly was a total lifesaver for me throughout the entire day. She helped me set everything up, checked up on me to make sure all my needs were met frequently, and was overall such a positive force at our wedding. She coordinated our rehearsal wonderfully, made sure everything stayed on schedule, and even brought us hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour when my husband and I were taking pictures. I also asked for some to-go boxes for after the wedding for the two of us, and she brought us four big boxes! It was AWESOME. She also coordinated pick-up of items for other vendors (such as the florist's vases) so that we didn't have to worry about it. There are so many little things that you don't really think about for your wedding, and Kimberly covered them all and made me feel at total ease throughout the process. She was probably the best thing my husband and I budgeted for for our wedding.

The Winterbourne was the most amazing, fairy tale-like wedding for my husband and me. It was better than I could have imagined. I wish I could do it all over again the exact same way!

Where to begin?! Our wedding was gorgeous and we have received so many compliments on the place, the inn, and the food!! The food was amazing. Kim J. I cannot say enough great things about the Winterbourne Inn and staff. Kimberly was beyond helpful throughout the entire wedding process even in the middle of hurricane season. Unfortunately it decided to rain on our wedding day but she made sure to keep me calm and reassure me that everything was being handled and it was still going to be beautiful. And boy was she right!! The whole staff was amazing and always made us feel welcome!! I am so so glad we decided to get married here.

We had a themed wedding based off “The Notebook” movie at the Winterbourne Inn. It was the perfect venue and a dream come true. The staff at the Winterbourne Inn were AMAZING. Kimberly and Bonnie went above and beyond. We attended their food tastings and met with them several times to review many details. They were so easy to work with, so accommodating, and the staff worked so hard to make every detail perfect. We thought the food was absolutely fantastic, and as we talked to our guests, we kept hearing over and over from everyone that the food was the best they had ever had. Everything went as planned and stayed on schedule, it was a wonderful evening. We would HIGHLY recommend the Winterbourne Inn for your wedding or any elegant event. (On a side note, our wedding was the Saturday following when Hurricane Irma hit our area and the staff at Winterbourne Inn did a fantastic job and went over and above to make our wedding perfect on our day.)

My husband and I chose to get married in September 8th. With hurricane irma headed our way here in Florida , we had a lot of dissapoting hiccups along the way . A day before my wedding our original venue canceled on us . Luckily we found this beautiful venue last minute . It was truly a Miricle ! our wedding ended up being even more beautiful than planned & it would've never happened if it weren't for the flexible and amazing staff here at the winterbourn inn. They are truly a 10 out of 10 venue !

We are absolutely thrilled that we chose the Winterbourne Inn for our wedding! If you are looking for a country or old world feel, this is the place. Kim and the entire Winterbourne staff were wonderful to work with and everything went together perfectly for our special day. Everyone was extremely pleased with the atmosphere and the food was tremendous (fried chicken, roast beef, mashed potato bar, salad bar, green bean almandine, seasonal mixed vegetables, crab stuffed mushrooms, and southwest egg rolls). If I had to do it all over again I would definitely choose the Winterbourne again in a hearbeat!

First let me start by saying how gorgeous this venue is! It's right on the river and the house has such a rustic charm!
They definitely keep the house well maintained.
From the tour that I had with them to see what their place looked like up until the end of my wedding when we were packing up, they made sure that everything was well organized. Trisha, who I communicated with through email, answered all my questions promptly and made sure that our needs were met. The staff has so much care and love for what they do and it definitely shows. They make sure to take care of your needs from decorating start time to being fed during the hors d'oeuvres while getting your pictures taken! I would recommend hiring on their day of wedding coordinator as they make sure that everything runs smoothly. We had the pleasure of working with Connie as our coordinator and the way she worked made us feel very comfortable (she even made sure to have someone get a stain out of my wedding dress!!!!!). If you're in the area or even are an out of town bride, I would definitely recommend Winterbourne. Not only for the beautiful location but the amazing service you will receive!

The Winterbourne Inn is a gorgeous (and perfect) wedding venue! We and our guests loved the beautiful moss covered trees, the St. Johns river in the back, and the historic home. I have nothing but positive things to say about our wedding here - it was everything I could have imagined. The bridesmaids and I got ready upstairs in Room 4, where the hair and makeup vendors were able to meet us and have plenty of room for all of us. Our day of coordinator, Jackie, made the event go so smoothly and was so sweet in being attentive to our needs. The food was incredible, even better than what we had sampled at the tasting event! We opted for the cajun chicken and flank steak which our guests raved about! The view was incredible and our guests enjoyed being able to walk in and out of venue, onto the covered patio to grab their drinks, and then being able to play cornhole on the lawn. After the wedding, we had the after party at the pub right next door on property which ended our night perfectly. The staff at Winterbourne is incredible! They were always responsive to my emails and numerous questions. I would highly recommend this gorgeous venue to any bride.

The Winterbourne was the perfect place for our 12/19 wedding! Everything about the day was beautiful. I highly recommend getting the day-of coordination service--my coordinator, Kim P., was an absolute lifesaver and worked so hard to make sure that everything went smoothly and on schedule. The food was great and everyone raved about the roast beef! I booked the bridal suite upstairs to get ready in and kill time with my bridesmaids, and it was great for pictures. Another big perk of this venue is they allow you to bring in your own alcohol. As an out-of-state bride, I really appreciated the vendor suggestions that the Winterbourne made--we used Lori Parker for flowers, St Johns for lighting, and the local Publix for the cake (which multiple people said was the best wedding cake they'd ever tasted!). The day was beautiful and I couldn't imagine anything better.

This venue was outstanding. The staff was amazing. I would highly recommend hiring their wedding coordinator. They know what they are doing because its their venue and one of the girls will help you be more stress free on the day f your wedding. The food was fantastic. We went with the Italian feast and not one of our guest had a negative thing to say about it. Its a very vintage style venue. You get to take advantage of whats already there for you. Its perfect for that simple vintage wedding we were going for. Thank you all again for being so great to us. <3

reviewing for my daughter's wedding. the only part I would suggest attention needed for were the chairs in doors and out. indoor needing painting and outdoor needing bleaching. also the porch had wood replaced and was supposed to have been painted but was not.

I LOVED THIS VENUE! The Winterbourne is absolutely beautiful! The ceremony area with the moss covered trees and the river backdrop is magical (especially with the lights from St Johns Illuminations!) The receptions space was perfect for our amount of guests. Guests are still talking about how amazin the food was (Mac and Cheese and Pulled Pork YUMMMM!) The staff was amazing. Our day of coordinator, Bonnie, was awesome and was so meticulous about what we wanted (SHOUT OUT: the waitress Ayla took great care of not only my husband and I, but also my parents specifically). I could not imagine having our day anywhere else.

I cannot overstate my gratitude with the staff of The Winterbourne. Trisha and Ayla were amazing. They were constantly checking on me and my groom and did whatever they could to make sure the day was flawless, which it was! I have never been to a wedding where nothing went wrong, but somehow they managed to make the day perfect! The venue itself is beautiful and the food is delicious, but the amazing staff are what set The Winterbourne above the rest.

The Winterbourne Inn is an absolutely beautiful venue and the perfect spot for a wedding. The scenery, the view, the food, the staff, everything is absolutely amazing. From the beginning of the process to our wedding day, everything was perfect. The staff is so quick to respond to questions, and extremely accommodating with any request that we had. My wedding day went totally smooth and I owe it all to the ladies at the Winterbourne. I could not have asked for anything better, and the Winterbourne Inn allowed me to have the wedding of my dreams.

This venue was exactly what I was looking for! They were a great value and my day went smoothly thanks to BONNIE!!!!!!!!! She is wonderful!!I did the day of service and there are no words to describe how incredible she was. She kept track of my vendors (and guests) and made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. The food was delicious, and everybody loved the entire experience. PERFECTION! There isn't a single negative comment I can think of when I look back on my wedding day. It was absolutely perfect and I owe it all to all of the wonderful people at the Winterbourne. From day 1, we booked the Winterbourne on the spot, it is so incredibly charming and beautiful. I can't tell you how easy they were to work with. I had an exact vision of my wedding day and I'll admit I was slightly neurotic about it, Trisha and Bonnie were so wonderful and guided me through every step of the way. Sometimes I would even email them in the middle of the night and they would respond and it was so comforting. You can really tell that everyone at the Winterbourne loves their job. Bonnie was our day of coordinator, and I truly have to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful that you were there. There wasn't a single hiccup on our wedding day. When I say it went perfectly, it truly did. Oh and I didn't even mention the food....It was fantastic! Best food at a wedding I've ever had. I could literally go on for pages about how awesome our wedding was because of everyone at the Winterbourne. Thank you for making our wedding day everything I ever dreamed of. <3

Winterbourne Inn is absolutely beautiful, and was the perfect location for our wedding. You can't beat the views right on the river or the charm of the historic house. Even better than the beauty of the venue was the professionalism and kindness of Winterbourne's staff. They were easy to work with from start to finish, and ensured our special day went smoothly. We are especially incredibly thankful for Kim, who was our day of coordinator and ran our rehearsal. She was very kind and a pleasure to work with. The best thing about this venue is THE FOOD. We served brunch, and it was absolutely delicious! We got so many compliments from our guests about how good everything was, and how it was so much better and more creative than standard wedding dinner fare. I wish Winterbourne were a restaurant we could keep coming back to! All in all, I honestly could not have dreamed up a better place to celebrate our special day. The staff and experience were truly wonderful, and you cannot beat the value you're getting, as they are very reasonably priced.

Winterbourne Inn is, hands down, the best choice for a wedding. I had 3 months to plan my entire wedding, and had no idea where to begin. I figured I'd start with the 'place'. I chose Winterbourne initially because of its pricing compared to other venues I saw. Little did I know I would encounter what felt like extended family! We met with Candice and she walked is around the property. It is beautiful! The ceremony spot overlooks the St Johns river and the massive Oak Trees have beautiful moss handing so elegantly. Pictures are AMAZING here! I immediately knew this was the place! Candice then gave me so many pointers, suggestions, and short cuts. She was so helpful. Although they are super busy, I always felt like their only bride. Now the food... to die for! I'm contemplating becoming a wedding crasher just for dinner! (Get the sweet potatoes. Trust me!) Winterbourne provided all the linens, glasses, dinner ware etc. We chose an open bar, the staff was awesome. The mixed drinks were perfect, and after the ceremony, all the guests went inside so the wedding party could take pictures, and we were served appetizers on the lawn! They clearly thought of everything! If you're reading this, I say "Stop looking. This is the place." Congratulations! :-)

We can not express how wonderful everything was for our daughters wedding 10/25/14. From the very first time we got in touch with you, it has been an absolute awesome experience! I recently was married at the Winterbourne. What a beautiful and perfect day that was! The Winterbourne was everything I was looking for in a wedding venue. I loved the river view, the trees, the white vintage house and how comfortable everyone felt while inside. The staff, Candace and Trisha were the BEST! They did mention I was the calmest bride they've ever seen and I give them most the credit! They were a tremendous help and made my experience less stressful but fun! Candace made sure everyone was rehearsed and running on schedule...she kept the rest of my vendors in check too! The food was excellent, not one complaint. They were really easy going, professional and super sweet. I wish I could relive my perfect day. Do not miss out on having the best indoor/outdoor comfortable, elegant, affordable and beautiful wedding venue like the Winterbourne AND definitely do not skimp on your photographer to make sure you capture all the memories!! I highly recommend you attend one of their open houses to see what all this gem has to offer!! Thank you ladies :)

The winterbourne was the absolute perfect place to have my wedding! I hired Candace as my coordinator and that was the best decision I ever made. She took care of everything on wedding day and made sure nothing was forgotten. The venue is incredibly beautiful and so charming. And the food was amazing! Everyone raved about it. They even made gluten free plates for those who had diet restrictions.

The Winterbourne is a perfect venue for a wedding or any special ocassion. The venue is so beautiful that you don't need to spend a fortune to decorate, you actually need very little decor. We just loved the Southern charm it offered with a beautiful view of the river. It just felt like home, like you were entertaining guests in your own home. It is so relaxing that the guests feel right at home. The staff was great to work with and the food....well, it was amazing! You have to try their signature Blue Cheese Biscuits....yum yum. We still hear compliments from the wedding guests about the biscuits and honestly all the food that was on our menu.

The Winterbourne Inn has been the home of the Clay County Humane Society’s Bark After Dark Benefit for the last 12 years. Our live auction event showcases handsome bachelors walking adorable pups for adoption and, lucky for us, the animal loving staff at Winterbourne goes out of their way to make everything run seamlessly. Although it can get a little “harried” because of the many components required to make this event successful, there are no worries because Candice and the sensational staff handle it with ease. As a non-profit with tight budget constrictions, we rely on the staff’s expertise to guide us in the right direction, and they never disappoint; from the planning to the break down they are involved every step of the way. Our event promises gourmet food, music, and dancing under the stars while enjoying the St. Johns River breezes- Winterbourne helps us make it happen. Needless to say, we love this venue and could not imagine our most important event of the year being trusted to anyone else, anywhere else.

We were very happy with this venue, although it is a little small. The setting is beautiful, the food was delicious, and Candace was very helpful. However, I would not recommend this venue if you are having a large wedding. We just barely fit with 100 guests. And I would definitely recommend paying for wedding planning services for rehearsal and day of ceremony. Candace did a great job of rounding everyone up and getting them to where they were supposed to be. She was also there to help me, the mother of the bride, take care of all the little details so that my daughter could just relax and enjoy her special day!

Candice and her team are absolutely wonderful. My husband and I had the perfect wedding day - the site is beautiful and the food was spectacular. My husband has a gluten allergy and we only eat fish (no other meat), and Candice made sure we had meals prepared for us that would meet our restrictions (and it was DELICIOUS!). Bonnie actually coordinated the wedding for us, and she was great! We also emailed a lot with Trish and Candice throughout the entire year before our wedding, and they were so helpful and had no problems when I wanted to visit the site to check things out (over and over again...). :) We cannot recommend Winterbourne Inn enough - thanks to you all for helping us make great memories!

Trish and Candice are awesome and such a joy to work with. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Candice and the Winterbourne staff!!!! First, the venue is just gorgeous! Second, the food was delicious! Third, and most important, Candice was an absolute dream to work with! Truly they deserve a higher rating than 5 stars! I don't even know where to start... she is professional, accommodating, helpful, quick to answer any questions and just overall committed to making sure the wedding day was everything I hoped it would be. I had a crappy wedding day coordinator (not associated w the Winterbourne) who messed up our chairs and didn't even offer to fix it. Candice went above and beyond to try and fix the problem even though it wasn't technically her problem to solve. We ended up sending our coordinator home after the ceremony and Candice took over our reception and it was perfect! Should've hired her for the whole day :) Can't say enough about the Winterbourne and it's staff. They are awesome!!!!

The team at the Winterborne wants your event to be the best it possibly can be. Candice and Trish both emailed me frequently and talked with me in person to make sure all of my questions were answered. As we went through basic timelines for the day of the wedding, Candice unearthed several details that I hadn't even thought of - the wedding would not have been as well planned or executed without her help!
The food was amazing!! Waitstaff is constantly passing through the room to get used dishes out of the way, but you really don't notice that they are there!

If anyone out there has a concern over "The Winterbourne's" ability to pull off a wedding, let me put your minds at ease. As the father of the Bride, I had many reservations along with just a tad bit of anxiety.
Candice and Trisha did a fantastic job of putting all my concerns in check.
The facility was Florida vernacular beautiful, the staff was friendly, courteous and tended to our every need.and the food was to die for. I've been to many functions in my years but never one that could shadow the Witnerbourne's culinary expertise. it was beyond my expectations.When D-Day hit, Candice had her game face on. She kept everything on task and all went perfectly well.

My thanks to the entire group for pulling off a wondrful event that honored my daughter.

We used the Winterbourne as a wedding and reception venue. The setting was perfect and the girls (Candice and Trisha) tried to assist in making sure our day went smoothly! The Winterbourne is very quaint and perfect for what we were looking for on our big day. My wedding was held at the lovely winterbourne inn. I had the most beautiful outdoor wedding planned, with all the details held out...and it POURED my wedding day. I mean like hurricane force winds!! But the staff at the WB made my day absolutely perfect!! Nobody even noticed that is was an ocean outside because we were having way too much fun inside! We had such amazing compliments about the food, the staff, the service, and the flexibility from the inn. Even though it was not the outdoor wedding I had dreamed if I would not change a single thing about my day. Candice even said I could one back anytime and do a photo shoot with my dress and hubby to get the outdoorsy pics! I highly recommend this amazing venue, people have continued to tell me it was the best wedding they had ever been to!

I can't rave enough about this venue and their venue coordinator Candice!! If you want a vintage, intimate feel to your wedding this is the place. Hire Candice to be your wedding coordinator and she will take care of everything. She makes it a point to let the bride be as stress free as possible. The food is amazing and you can bring your own alcohol. I had my fairy tale wedding and a huge part of it was this venue.

My husband and I chose this venue for many reasons. We absolutely loved the venue and loved that we were able to have both the ceremony and reception at the same place. Candice was a wonderful help from beginning to end. She was very quick in responding to all my questions and concerns. A MUST SEE VENUE!!!!
The riverfront location, breathtaking view and beautifully manicured garden made the Winterbourne an easy decision for our wedding. My big day was like a dream! From the start to the very end I received nothing but professional, caring and detail oriented service. We received SO many compliments on the choice of venue, delicious food and caring staff. Its been a couple of months and we are still hearing about how it was one of the best weddings they had been to. I could not have made it through my daughter's wedding without Candice's assistance. Candice was very professional and responsive to our needs and had a LOT of great ideas that helped us out! The venue is beautiful and was totally decorated for Christmas. The food was absolutely the best. I am already looking forward to planning an office party here next Christmas.

Candace and all the staff at the Winterbourne are the most caring and helpful indivduals! The house is just gorgeous and the views of the river are to die for! Candace was there every step of the way to guide me and offer advice and opinions on every detail! I couldn't have asked for a better venue manager. I would definitely recommend The Winterbourne to anyone!

Winterbourne Inn was the perfect venue for my wedding. It is a gorgeous venue and Candice and her staff were incredibly helpful. I planned my wedding from out of state and they were very good at responding to emails and working me in for food selections while I was in town. They had a huge selection of food to choose from and it all tasted amazing. There was plenty of food at my wedding. Everyone from me, the vegetarian, to my brother, who has decided he needs to make up for the meat I don't eat, had plenty of food to eat. We decided to use their wedding coordinator services and Trish was incredibly helpful. She made sure the day went by smoothly and I was so glad she was there to help. We were allowed to provide our own alcohol and hire a winterbourne bartender which really helped cut costs. Winterboure Inn is absolutely beautiful and a great wedding venue.

I got married at the Winterbourne on 9/23/12 and couldn't be more happy with my experience! The venue and grounds are gorgeous and perfectly in keeping with the Southern-themed wedding I envisioned. The staff, Candice in particular, were a dream to work with. They created a event so personalized and it made planning a breeze. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!

The day your only daughter gets married is a once in a lifetime event. I wouldn't trust just anyone with this event. We had already done business with Candice and the Winterbourne Inn when our son married. Because of that experience and the reputation that the Winterbourne has in our community, we knew where our daughter would be getting married.

Every detail, every moment was thought out and Candice even took time to personalize our event just for our unique family.

If you are looking for a place to have the most elegant ceremony and reception or if you have a budget and need to be financially conservative, you will find what you need at the Winterbourne.

This place was amazing!! Janet and her staff made it so that I could have my wedding the way I wanted it!! Everyone was extremely nice and helpful! The food was outstanding and the scenery was beautiful! I am so glad that I decided to get married at the Winterbourne Inn!! I would recommend this place to anyone!!

I cannot begin to how positively wonderful Winterbourne Inn and their staff are. From start to finish they were everything that we could have hoped for - and more. The 'kids' wanted to have the ceremony there, outdoors, and we used their recommended vendors for the photographer (Ken Godwin Studio), the officiant(Godess Weddings), the dj (Love Your DJ) and the liquors (Foremost Liquors). We could not have been more pleased. We had several requests that were not part of any package but they were more than willing to make the adjustments to accomodate us.
Food - it was extremely good - I had so many people tell me how good it was and how beautifully it was presented. I felt almost guilty saying thank you since I had no hand in it!
Preparations and set up for the ceremony and the reception were done as requested and they even were able to hold the rain off until after the outdoor pictures were completed!
Janet and Candice were so very helpful and knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to recommend Winterbourne Inn and their services to anyone. They made a very special occasion memorable and enjoyable for everyone!

Our experience at Winterbourne was nothing less than fantastic! The venue was absolutely gorgeous and we could not have imagined getting married anywhere else. The attentive staff was a pleasure to work with, not to mention they took a load of stress off of me and made wedding planning look so easy----they are true professionals! As for the food, we are still receiving compliments from our guests on how flavorful and delicious everything was (I HIGHLY recommend the Flank Steak!!). Everything was perfect!

The Winterbourne was wonderful! The staff was amazing and extremely helpful! The food was delicious! Because of them our wedding was everything we imagined it would be and more! Would highly reccommend to anyone looking for a ceremony or reception venue!

It was SOOOOOOO good! Candice and her team were very willing to create a menu around our needs. We had oven friend chicken, shrimp and grits (amazing!), pasta and veggies, mac and cheese - it was all great. We had a buffet and the facility has a separate room so the flow happened well and everyone got lots to eat! There were passed appetizers with cocktails, a fruit platter, and even an option for a chocolate fountain (we declined this). Our guests all loved it!

Janet and Candice are two special people. They made sure my day was amazing. The place looked amazing as well. I did not get to meet the staff but they did an awesome job on the food. The food was out of this world. This day was better than I imagined.

Please please pick this venue for your wedding! The Winterbourne and their staff are amazing. We were searching for a unique site that offered a setting to be remembered and treasured. The Inn is historic with beautiful windows, a working fireplace, and a wonderful view of the river. It makes a beautiful backdrop for photos. You need minimal decorations because the site offers so much. The food is delicious; we had people complimenting our food weeks after the wedding.

Finally, Candice and Janet, we cannot express how thankful we are to have women like you helping to make our day exceptional. I will remember what you did for us forever. We had not a single worry; they answered every silly question and helped fix every possible hiccup that could have occurred. Not picking the Winterbourne Inn would be an error.

I used the Winterbourne Inn for our Reception on 3/3/2012. Candice and Janet were amazing, I always had an email response within 24 hours - most time just a few hours. They were wonderful to work with and always offered suggestions and ideas to make things easier/better. Janet was also my DOC and was a god send. It would of been nice to have had her keep us on track in the morning, but she kept me stressfree and relaxed throughout the night and helped us with our ceremony.
The food was SPECTACULAR, the view was gorgeous and it looked beautiful at night time. Everything turned out amazing. a Fantastic decision to hold our reception here. I'm a little sad we won't have an excuse to go back. It's a beautiful home and works perfectly - we had approximately 55 guests and it was just perfect, we were able to dance inside and on the front porch. Wonderful place, and wonderful people to work with.

We chose Winterbourne to have our ceremony & reception because of the gorgeous river view and cozy, picturesque historic setting. I had also heard the food was wonderful, and it was true! We had the flank steak and chicken marsala, which was very delicious and got rave reviews from the guests.

Candice and her team were extremely helpful every step of the way. I was a bride on a budget (coordinating everything myself), and Candice was sensitive to that, offering advice and making sure that my planning was on track. I highly recommend her day-of-coordinator service, because she ensured that things ran smoothly, and made it a priority that I was comfortable and stress-free on our big day. She was very gracious with any requests I had, and made the whole process as pain-free as possible. Candice you guys are awesome!

My sister had her wedding on April 2, 2011 at the Winterbourne. I was also engaged and if you asked me before her wedding if I was thinking about having my wedding there as well, my response was a polite, yet FIRM, no way! I will not have the same venue my sister had...that would be ridiculous!! Well, after her wedding, my attitude changed 100%!! Seeing how the Winterbourne's day of coordinator literally catered to my sister's every need, want, desire....I was wishing I had found the Winterbourne first! Three days later, I walked into the Winterbourne and put my name on the calender to have my wedding there!! I knew it was the right place for us.

I could not picture having my wedding anywhere else but the Winterbourne. The actual venue itself is stunning, of course, and the view of the river is spectacular!! Aside from the beauty that is the Winterbourne, the staff is without a doubt, the best in the business. Candice, who works more with the catering side, knows what she is doing!! She helped us make our menu, gave us recommendations, and kept in touch with me the entire way. Knowing that she was always just an email or a phone call away was such a relief!! Janet, our day of coorindator, can be defined in one word...FABULOUS! I did not worry about a thing. Yes, a couple of things went wrong, one of our unity candles broke, the grooms personalized champagne flute cracked...but I knew about nothing until AFTER the reception. And the best part is, everything was taken care of and no one else noticed either!!
When I think back to my wedding day, I have no memories of stressing out, running up & down the stairs making sure things were in the right place...my memories are filled with gorgeous views, an amazing venue staff, people telling me how spectacular everything looked, feeling so relaxed and happy I almost couldn't stand it, and most importantly....my husband & I can honestly say that it was the BEST day of our lives. I know that this was all thanks to the Winterbourne.
Phenominal staff. Delicious food. Gorgeous, breath taking views. The Winterbourne is AMAZING :)

We were so very blessed with the beautiful venue (classic and naturally breathtaking with the views of the river and gardens) - and the service is nothing shy of hiring the "dream team" to help with planning and last minute implementation. Candice was perfection- providing guidance, gently maintaining pace throughout the ceremony and reception. The guests were commenting on how professional the overall operation was - and everyone enjoyed the romantic twinkle lights in the gardens when taking a breath from the fun and dancing. Thank you Winterbourne, Candice and Team! We couldn't say enough wonderful words to express the experience!

All of the Winterbourne staff were wonderful! Candice was especially helpful in making sure things were done right. The chicken Italiano was really tasty. Our bar tender was really great too! The set up was beautiful and just what we wanted. Our ceremony started nearly an hour late due to the weather and my mother was running late and everyone was very patient with us. The rain was not helping matters much but we pulled it off. One thing that I would suggest to anyone who may rent this venue is to rent one of the rooms up stairs to change in. We did not realize until last minute that we had not rented a room upstairs. The room we used was nice but there was only one mirror in it and it was a little cramped for 5-6 girls at a time, but it all worked out. Thank you again for all the help, and patience especially :D.

We had our wedding here and everything was PERFECT. The food was excellent. The staff was amazing! Janet was awesome!!! The atmosphere was beautiful. Many of our guests said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. You can not go wrong when using the Winterbourne as your venue.
