Windows Catering Company exceeded every expectation and was truly one of the standout vendor partners for Erica and Brian’s wedding.

From our many design meetings through execution on wedding day, their team helped bring the couple’s vision to life and beyond. They assisted with everything from coordinating the tent and restroom trailers to creating a beautiful bar setup, incorporating soft seating in the bride’s favorite shades of purple, and delivering exceptional food and service.

Absolutely awesome!

Windows Catering did an excellent job with both of my daughter's wedding. Everything that was we wanted or needed Windows made it happen. Very knowledgeable, reliable, and professional staff. I would recommend their services.

Went the extra mile

Working with Windows was great. Considering food costs are probably going to be one of your largest expenses and one that so many guests will remember afterward, we really wanted to get it right. Working with Windows allowed us to fully customize our event exactly as we had imagined. Nicole specifically was super professional and worked hand in hand with us and our wedding planner to help make sure everything was in order.

Best Caterer in DC

If you are looking for truly exceptional catering in DC look no further. Windows has the most delicious food, exquisite linens /flatware /glassware and professional service in the the region. We used their Kosher catering wing which was wonderful with plentiful options, elegant presentation and lots of fun things you could customize to make the dinner really feel like "yours." We recommend Debbie and her team 100%.

Michelin Star Dining Presentation and Top Class Service

We decided to have our wedding last minute and had only four weeks to plan the whole thing! Julie at Window’s Catering was the first one to respond to us and take us on. I am from Bangladesh and was absolutely clueless on how to plan a wedding in the US and that too in such a short time. She not only guided me with everything in regards to catering but also helped me come up with ideas and themes and even provided me with someone from her company to help me coordinate everything leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day.

The food was incredible! The presentation was outstanding and everything looked like it was Michelin star! We had an amazing list of hors d'oeuvre that had lots of bright colors and were presented in unique ways, a 3- course dinner, followed by an incredible list of desserts. She allowed me to change seating charts and dinner options until the day before the wedding which was so helpful since everything was so last minute. We were meant to have a s’mores station since we thought the weather would be cold, but we got lucky and got warm weather the day of and she quickly changed that to pass around mini ice cream cones and the guests loved it! She was available pre and post wedding whenever we needed. I can’t recommend them enough! BEST BEST BEST!

Evening in the Garden

i can only express our complete satisfaction and awe at the phenomenal job Anne and her staff at WIndows Catering exemplified at my daughter's wedding. The attention to detail was impeccable. No one could believe (even I😊) that the wedding and dinner were originally planned to be outside. I personally, had a couple of sleepless nights looking at the weather forecast, but Ann and her staff at Windows were able to shift gears with such poise and ease, I was able to relax and enjoy the moment.

The presentation during each phase of the wedding, dinner and reception was absolutely beautiful and flawless, it made such an impression on guests as they entered each space. The happy couple were was ecstatic that they were still able to keep important details in tact, despite the last minute change due to weather! The flowers, for the wedding and the dinner were both unique and stunning. All of the arrangements and even the corsages and boutonnieres were elegant and exuded class.

Words cannot express our family's gratitude for your professionalism and gift for design. THANK YOU for making my daughter's "Evening in the Garden", the wedding of their dreams.

Amazing, memorable experience with Windows!

Windows is amazing - they made our at-home wedding feel like an incredible venue! The decor, the presentation, and the food itself was a highlight of the entire wedding - our guests are still talking about it months after the wedding!! Apps were fantastic and creative (mini lobster rolls with mini beers, bite sized spaghetti and meatballs, etc) first course was a gorgeous seafood ecosystem that looked like a piece of art, and mains and desserts were amazing (also added a smores bar at the last minute which was delicious and made for really cute pictures!). THe Windows team was hands on for the entire planning and event to make sure everything ran perfectly. HIGHLY recommend Windows!!!

Above and Beyond my Wildest Expectations!

Wow! That was the word that was uttered since my husband and I's tasting with Windows back on October 3, 2019. Julie and Nicole were PHENOMENAL to work with. Nicole truly cares and loves what she does and it totally shows! From the first introduction to the wedding day, she was always there to lend an opinion or to make sure that all items we asked were addressed and changed. She had soooo many wonderful suggestions to help make our wedding day food and look unique from putting a salad in a cocktail glass to a pretzel wall with boxes and take home sauces. The food tasted amazing and while I am sad I did not get to partake in enjoying the desserts, all of our guests told us that they had many helpings! The food that I did consume was absolutely devine! I also used Windows for my engagement party and they were spectacular then as well! I will continue to use Windows for any of my events from here on out!

Amazing food and exceptional service!

Carl from Windows Catering was amazing to work with! I have worked with Windows Catering several times for work events, and was so thrilled to see them on the "preferred vendor" list from our Wedding Venue. My husband and I had to change our Wedding date to the pandemic. Carl was understanding, flexible and beyond accommodating. Carl and his team even packed to-go containers for us on the night of our Wedding to ensure that we were able to enjoy the amazing food! We have already received messages from our family and friends raving about the food! If you are looking for delicious food and amazing customer service, Windows is your go-to catering company!

Amazing food and Beautiful Table Settings

The Windows Catering team was absolutely amazing. They put together a fantastic menu proposal and allowed a full menu tasting before we signed the contract. The food was delicious. They were extremely responsive and detail oriented and delivered on everything we wanted. We provided a picture of the wedding cake design we wanted and they made an exact replica. The table setting last were beautiful and the staff the day of the wedding were all professional and went above and beyond. The vanilla almond cake was our favorite cake we’ve ever had. The guests raves about the food. Overall the day couldn’t have been more perfect.

Windows was incredible

Wow, when I say working with a Windows was one of the best and easiest experiences of our wedding I am not kidding. From the moment we reached out to Windows, Chris Dunn was so incredibly responsive and amazing to work with. Every single idea or suggestion that we had was taken perfectly in stride!! From the first tasting there was absolutely no competition that could come close to Windows! The entire experience was just so first class and the food was literally to die for. Hands down Windows provided us with the BEST wedding food and we still have guests saying it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Everyone is still talking about the mushroom risotto and late night snacks!! Windows also provided us with the most stunning (and delicious) cake. Every email I sent to Chris was responded to (literally) within 5 minutes, even if it was at 10pm. Working with Windows honestly was just so incredible and we couldn’t have asked for a better team, food or experience!! Windows worked so seamlessly with every vendor and just made our day so incredibly amazing. Hire Windows and ask for Chris!!

Outstanding

We are so pleased that we hired Windows Catering for our wedding. It was clear from the beginning that this a highly experienced catering company with an excellent team. Debbie took the time to understand what we were hoping for in our menu and the look of our tables. Based on our conversations, she design a fantastic menu for our cocktail hour and our dinner reception. Numerous guests commented on how delicious everything was, including our cake (which was beautiful!). Our place settings and table linens were perfect and the entire staff the night of was top notch. Everything came together exactly as we hoped it would, and we couldn't be happier with our choice!

Excellent Catering Company!

I would highly recommend windows catering. In particular, this review is for Chris Dunn. Chris was our point of contact for the majority of our wedding. Throughout the entire process, Chris was available and handled our requests with ease. Windows provided several tastings, including cocktail tastings for speciality cocktails. On the day of, we were able to enjoy the event with the assurance that Windows Catering had taken care of everything. I would highly recommend hiring Windows Catering for your next event. Windows Catering has done our personal events for years now and I personally would look no other place to collaborate and execute our vision. Robin Loren doesn't miss a detail and she is on top of every aspect; from the linens, barware, dishes, staff, tables, chairs, furniture, and greeting our guests with a signature cocktail. She personally is on sight for every event and makes sure everything is coordinated and the timeline is understood by all. Most recently we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and hired Windows to work the magic. Love, love, love Windows!!!

Windows was absolutely wonderful to work with for our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding on June 4 at Stone Tower Winery! Their extreme professionalism and knowledge of the wedding industry shined through in all of our interactions with them, and the final results at the wedding were perfect. Lauren provided wonderful recommendations from the hors d’oeuves to the main course. When we walked into the tasting, she had everything elegantly setup as though it was the day. She provided linen and china selections to compliment our daughter and son-in-laws’ vision. The food was amazing and the decor (linens, flatware, stemware, plates, etc.) was a notch above. Lauren and Debbie did a great job working with the staff at Stone Tower Winery. No wonder Windows is one of their preferred vendors. We had a traditional cookie table and Lauren did a fabulous job with presentation. The wedding cake was devine… I don’t think there was a crumb left. Anyone who is looking for an all-inclusive caterer that will provide great food, beautiful decor and exceptional assistance all at a reasonable price should definitely book Windows :) Thank you Lauren and Debbie !

Pick Windows. They are the best! I've worked with them on my work's 600 person Gala at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium and at our office christmas party of 65 at our boss's house. They now even cater our 20 person board meetings. So of course I had to use them for my wedding at Top of the Town. Chris Dunn and Aaron Cartier are a blast to work with. They have so many great ideas and totally take care of every single detail. At my wedding, I wasn't going to see the reception space till after the guests had arrived so I am so grateful that I could put all the decor in their hands to put out. Most importantly, the food was AMAZING. All my guests raved about the food. They loved the ice cream bar. And the wedding cake is was the best wedding cake I'd ever tasted. They can do everything and anything. Definitely pick Windows and contact Chris & Aaron.

We worked with Steve Schieber at Windows Catering and highly recommend him! He caught the vision of the vibe we were looking for on our wedding day and made sure the food and table settings reflected that. Cannot say enough good things about Windows! Based on feedback from our guests, the food, and particularly the passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, were the best part of the wedding. It is now months later and people are still talking about the lobster rolls, mac and cheese muffins, and crab chips!

The staff was extremely professional and attentive and were absolutely wonderful the day of the wedding. Windows provided all furniture and dinnerware for both the ceremony and reception, and everything was set up perfectly.

The staff and the food were amazing, and I would highly recommend using Windows.

I used Windows for both my Rehearsal Dinner and Reception. The food was fantastic on both evenings. We chose to do a less formal set up with stations, for our reception, and everyone raved about it! Windows also provided our wedding cake, which was delicious!! My guests could not believe that the caterer brought the cake - they all thought I must have had a bakery provide it. They were very flexible to also provide gluten and nut free cupcakes for my guests with allergies, as well as gluten free bread when I asked. All in all, fantastic experience with Windows. I highly recommend them!

The food turned out even better than we thought it would! Windows was so easy to work with and made every detail of the food & beverage perfect. We got so many compliments from our guests on our food and people were literally devouring the desserts! My husband and I had a great experience with Nicole from Windows Catering! I researched several catering vendors during the planning process, and found that the quality of food and value of Windows was far above the rest. Nicole worked closely with us to develop our menu, and provided us with a great tasting experience so we could tweak details of the food. On the day of, everything was executed perfectly --- the food was phenomenal, and Nicole ensured that my husband and I received drinks and snacks after the ceremony. We unexpectedly ran out of scotch halfway through the reception, and Nicole proactively offered to run out and get more at a nearby store for the rest of the event. We highly recommend working with Windows!

Windows was on our venue’s recommended caterer list. We spoke with many caterers, but Windows wowed us with their responsiveness, service, and tasty food. Our event manager, Nicole, always responded quickly and completely to our questions. We were able to handle most of our planning via email, but also had a tasting, in-person event review session, and walk-through of our venue. At no time were we worried about the outcome of our wedding. They even helped set up our decor (candles, escort cards, etc.) Windows was a full-service operation - they not only handled the food but also all of our rentals (chairs, dishes, linens, etc.) Windows was so organized and prepared that the event went off without a hitch. They made our day truly stress free.

Windows was not the cheapest caterer on our list, but we have absolutely no regrets in choosing them to cater our wedding. They wowed us with their incredible service. On the day of our wedding, the entire staff operated professionally and in a friendly manner. A few servers even went out of their way to help move chairs to the dance floor for our guests with mobility issues.

Additionally, the food during the wedding was even better than it was during the tasting. We didn’t think that was possible.

Windows is an amazing caterer,and my husband and I would not change anything about the delicious food and overall service they provided at our wedding. Ashley is fantastic, and helped us from the very beginning to create a menu and overall ambiance that we wanted. Guests raved about the food, and many said it was the best meal they had had at a wedding. I know it is common to hear that on your wedding day, you don't have time to eat, but my husband and I were so excited about the delicious filet that we sat down to eat the entire meal (albeit quickly!) Furthermore, I am so grateful to Ashley for going above and beyond--she coordinated delivery with other vendors (flowers, lighting, etc) and ensured that the location looked elegant and beautiful. She also helped us choose linens and was incredibly flexible with last minute changes. Windows is a phenomenal catering company, and we recommend them to everyone!

Love Windows catering. I have been to numerous events they have catered and I chose them to cater my wedding. They are fabulous! The staff is wonderful, food its outstanding and working with Chris throughout the whole process made for an absolute perfect wedding!

Getting Windows was a last minute change b y our venue. And I will admit my wife was worried but I tell you what they did not disappoint. After our wedding dinner, we did not see any food left over. Everyone loved the food, all they raved about was how great the food was from the the cocktail hour to the main course every last drop was delicious. Kudos to Windows to making our day so perfect. We would definitely choose them again for any event we do in the future.

My husband, parents and I all worked with Nicole from Windows Catering through our wedding planning process. We were limited in what catering companies we could choose from, due to restrictions from our venue; however, I would have chosen Windows thanks to the amazing service from Nicole hands down!! On our first meeting, Nicole got a feeling for the type wedding my husband and I wanted. When we met again in their offices Nicole had created the exact table setting we wanted, without any of our input. She had picked up on cues from our first meeting, and created the perfect setting. Windows was especially helpful in ensuring that not only did we have wonderful food, but that I could eat anything I wanted from their menu selections (I have celiac disease and have been gluten free for 2 years). They made modifications as necessary, but none of the recipes lacked in flavor as a result, and it was wonderful not to worry about what I ate on our special day. On many occasions, Nicole met us at our venue to ensure she had every last detail taken care of, and that we had nothing to worry about on the big day! On our wedding day, Nicole was not only the catering manager, but she took on the role of "master planner," she ensured that everything stayed on schedule, even when we fell behind. She had my bouquet ready for me to toss, as we wrapped up the cake cutting. She did everything in her power to make sure our day was everything we had dreamed of and more. I would highly recommend Windows Catering, especially if you have the pleasure of working with Nicole!!!

Amazing, simply amazing. My hubby and I are huge foodies so food was a very important element of our wedding. I asked my cousin who has worked in the DC wedding industry for 25+ years who the best caterer was, and Debbie from Windows Catering was his first recommendation. We could not believe how good EVERYTHING was when we went in for our tasting...not one thing tasted like "wedding" food. We compared it to one other vendor (who had the same prices) and there was absolutely no comparison. We went table to table to greet our guests after the entree was served, and I can honestly tell you that every plate was practically licked clean - and it wasn't because there wasn't enough food! Now, don't let me forget our dessert bar. They had a peanut butter cupcake which was honestly one of the most delicious desserts I have ever had in my life, and I'm not usually even a cupcake person. And one last thing - Debbie was just amazing the day of my wedding. She had everything taken care of, not one thing was out of place and she told me it was my day and I had to enjoy my wedding and not to worry about a single thing since everything was taken care of. SYNOPSIS - you can't go wrong with them. They've been doing this so long that their website is www.catering.com!!

Perfect from start to finish. No other way to describe it. Nicole was a consummate professional in the planning phase, working with us on menu and event options. She was very detail oriented and truly focused on making sure our wedding was planned exactly as we wanted. When it came to the day itself, the entire Windows team was spectacular. The prep was fast and flawless, the service was understated but friendly, and throughout the evening the staff ensured that all of the guests were well cared for, not just us as the bride and groom. The food was simply fantastic, the quality excellent and far better than the average catered event. The food was very flavorful and the salads were fresh. Most importantly, it matched what we had at the tasting both in terms of quality, preparation, and uniqueness/interest. We would work with them again without hesitation.

There are no words to describe how amazing the service I received from Windows was. Cynthia and Mario understood EXACTLY what we were targeting and delivered over and above. My guests are still raving about how delicious the food was (and honestly, how often does that happen with wedding food?)!!! I have to agree. If i could eat that saffron papardelle pasta course every day for the rest of my life, I would.
The attention to detail was on point and i couldn't spot a dirty dish or glass throughout the entire evening. My guests were greeted with iced tea, lemonade and water before the summer ceremony which many thought was a beautiful and thoughtful touch. The table settings were gorgeous and exactly to my specifications. Cynthia and Mario knew what I was looking for before I even described it. Their ideas added a touch of elegance my guests are still talking about. I cannot speak highly enough of the service I received and I will remember the attention they gave to my event forever. They really made the day perfect.
In addition to my wedding, i have had the pleasure of attending other events catered by Windows and have always been floored by the quality of the food and service. They are without a doubt, worth the price!

We loved the food that was catered at our wedding! When we had our initial tasting from Windows, we were simply blown away by their food and it was a no-brainer decision to go with them for our wedding. Even their cake was so delicious that we had them make our wedding cake too. It was great to work with Nicole and her staff. Nicole was responsive to all my emails and questions. She and her staff were very professional and provided great service during our wedding. It was really great that they also provided all the candy jars and serving spoons for our candy buffet at no extra charge. They also created the signature drink that we wanted at no extra charge. The food served at our wedding was just as good as what we had during our tasting, and all of our guests loved the food as well. Overall, we were extremely happy with all the food, cake, and service provided, and it definitely helped to make our wedding a success!

The reason we chose Windows was because we could customize our wedding to include any food that we wanted. Ashley from Windows ended up being my favorite vendor to work with. I received a response to my initial inquiry within 24 hours, and worked with the same person throughout the planning process. I met with Ashley several times in person and spoke with her over the phone and she was always friendly and professional. Windows was able to accommodate our budget, and Ashley really listened to what our likes and dislikes were. We got to try our menu and make changes, which were incorporated in an amended contract right away without me having to follow up with her asking for updates. Everyone raved about our food! Windows also supplied our linens, tableware, and bartending staff. I thought they were great and would highly recommend them.

Steve was unbelievable! From the tasting to the last minute of my wedding he was there to make sure all of the food was perfect. I was so impressed that my wedding food actually tasted better than the tasting. Exceptional service! Very attentive to detail and excellent food!

Food was really important for my now husband when we set out to plan our wedding. I did a ton of research and set up 5 tastings with different caterers. I had reached out to Windows after having success with them at work in the past. Before I even met with Ashley, we had a great phone call where I explained we were looking for stations based on relationship. Ashley just got it. When she sent her first proposal, we knew we would go with Windows. It was great working with Ashley because I never felt like I was trying to be upsold.

We went in for our tasting and the food was absolutely delicious. We had selected to have three stations, Chesapeake Bay (where I’m from), Midwest (where my husband is from) and Pacific Rim (we both love Seattle, Japan, Hawaii, etc.). What really sold us was that each dish had an accompaniment. It was not just tenderloin, but tenderloin with a jicama mint salad or grilled salmon with a spicy slaw. We felt we were getting much more for our money. We made revisions along the way, but in the end we were so excited to eat at our wedding!

As our caterer, Ashley stepped up and almost acted as a coordinator on our big day. We met her at the venue about a week before the wedding to nail down all the last minute details. After that meeting, all the worries I had fell by the wayside because I knew Ashley and her team would take care of everything. We even ran short of wine (we provided it), and Ashley ran out to the store (which was not nearby) and bought more wine while we were partying!

The room looked gorgeous, set perfectly. The food was absolutely everything we hoped for. We got so many compliments, and are still getting compliments how delicious the food was. Our guests also told us what great service they had. They told me the waiters were always there with a refill, or to clear something, but not in an obtrusive way. Everything went smoothly and I didn’t notice if anything did go wrong. I would highly recommend Windows for your wedding or any other event! I wish I could have that food right now!

I used Windows to cater my daughter's wedding for 180. You would think I was spending $100,000 for my daughter's wedding based on the quality of the food, the beautiful arrangements, the care of service, even picking up subtle details we didn't think of such as water, tea, and lemonade available before the wedding service since we were outdoors.
My daughter wanted authentic Italian food and brought her future mother in law (from Italy) to the tasting. Maria (M in Law) was SO impressed with everything and commented the food was perfect! I highly recommend Windows - and will use them for my next daughter's wedding in 3 months!

Our wedding cake was the absolute most delicious cake we have ever tasted. No exaggeration, the thing was amazing. Our guests are still talking about our chocolate-peanut butter creation...so yummy! I don't even know if you can get Windows to make you a wedding cake if they aren't catering your event, but it is worth a try. Our cake was included in our catering proposal, but we still tried about 10 other places thinking we could find something better. Windows was the best, hands down!

I am giving Windows 5 stars across the board because the bottom line is we got everything we paid for and then some.

After extensively researching and interviewing caterers on the venue's preferred list, we knew we found a one-stop shop for all things reception with Windows, and specifically, Nicole, our event manager. Nicole worked so hard to come up with a delicious menu and beautiful settings with our budget and our tastes. When we wanted to cut something out or add something in, she gently discussed with us pros and cons. She handled all of our table, linen, and equipment rentals, and also put out our centerpieces (non-floral), homemade table numbers, favors (different by table). I still do not know how it all came to look so perfect and beautiful in the 2 hours she had to make it all happen.

The food and service throughout was fantastic; they made sure we ate, Nicole made sure we were on time for dances, speeches and cake cutting. I did hear the bartenders were making drinks a little strong, but we had a good drinking crowd (not to mention a shuttle service).

Windows also handled our cake; the food was DELICIOUS. As I said before, Windows was worth the price; food, service, planning, etc.; well worth it.

Let me start of this review by saying one thing: YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even fully describe how delicious Windows Catering Company's food was. We were impressed from Day 1 when they offered for us to come in for a tasting. We chose one their Buffet Reception 1 package (salmon, chicken piccata, london broil, eggplant casserole, goat cheese ravioli) because of the amazing amount of variety it offered, and we were not disappointed. Windows created a whole spread for us to try, including two types of wedding cake we selected. Each entree on the buffet was accompanied by two vegetable sides, so the variety seemed endless. As a vegetarian, I was especially impressed with the amount of food there was for me to try. I had more on my plate than my meat-eating husband did! It was all wonderful, and on our wedding day it was even better. We had many guests ask us where the food was from and tell us how delicious it was. The wedding cake (white chocolate raspberry) was also extremely beautiful and delicious with real raspberries inside. I also felt that there prices were affordable for the quality of the food that we received. I would recommend Windows Catering to any couple in the DC metro area!

The food at a Wedding is one of the most important details. Windows has always provided the best of the best for us. Our engagement party, rehearsal dinner and our Wedding were impecable. My daughter, Caitlin, was married at Oatlands Plantation, that required us to select from a preferred list of vendors. After visiting a number of caterers, we knew without question that Debbie Beard of Windows would be our choice. Debbie was dynamic, creative, professional, energetic, empathetic, dedicated and fun. She took my daughter's Alice in Wonderland theme and together with Michael Corrado of Dever's Design, created magic. For cocktails, the "White Rabbit" and "Alicetini" were served in off-kilter glasses. The glassware on the tables were like tulips; the linens, napkins and seat cushions were delicate pastels all coordinated with the bridal table. Debbie suggested mushroom macaroons with white polka dots so that the "Eat Me" place cards could be easily displayed. Debbie and Michael, working closely together, created an entrance for our guests that took their breath away. The food was hands-down the most delicious food ever - every course, from the appetizers to the salads to the entrees to the desserts were excellent. [I have used Debbie and Windows for business catering and received the same accolades as I did for my daughter's wedding; and another bride we know will be using Windows at her wedding this fall]. Debbie was also my coordinator for which I was relieved; I knew in her hands I could relax and enjoy myself and I did. I will forever be grateful to Debbie and Windows for making my daughter's wedding one of the most perfects nights ever. As one of my friends told me, "it was a gift to us all."

Absolutely a great place and a great deal! We had the ballroom which included the dance floor and outside deck. The place is beautiful! After a last minute change of the catering manager (4 days before the wedding), the other manager took over and helped me in getting everything I wanted. The staff went overboard in making the room look beautiful. Their creativity was beyond my expectations. The food was great and I got lots of compliments on the venue! Highly recommend this place for the price!!

Windows Catering provided exceptional catering services for our June wedding at Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, MD. They were among the list of preferred vendors that the venue provided, and after much research we decided they were the perfect fit.

Windows easily accommodated our request to have dinner served family style so that people could eat as much as they wanted without having to stand in line for a buffet, and did so at a reasonable price. Our event consultant, Nicole, was absolutely fantastic-- she was there from the initial planning stages right up until the bouquet toss on the day of the wedding, and helped us with our menu choices and any additional requests.

Most importantly, the food was AMAZING. I fully expected it to be delicious at the tasting, but was pleasantly surprised by how incredibly tasty everything was at the wedding! We have gotten numerous compliments from our guests regarding the quality of both the food and cake and the helpful and attentive wait staff/bartenders. Thank you Windows for making our wedding day perfect! I would absolutely, without hesitation, recommend their services to anyone considering using Windows for their wedding.

We ended up meeting with two catering companies, Windows and Occasions, and decided that Windows gave us the best food at the tasting. We were not disappointed at the wedding. They were phenomenal in delivering the food that was promised at the tasting. All the wedding guests kept talking about the food and how delicious it was. I plan on asking them for their recipe for the whipped cauliflower... so good! Nicole was our manager and she was a pleasure to work with. After the ceremony, my new hubby and I were greeted in the bridal holding room with our champagne and the an assortment of all the appetizers being served at the cocktail hour so we could have a chance to eat before joining our guests. They really catered to our needs for the wedding and I couldn't have asked for better food!

I highly recommend Windows and especially Kelsey Hendrickson! She was fabulous to work with, completely organized, professional and really on top of her game. I must have emailed her dozens and dozens of times, with random ideas that I would have throughout the day/night and she completely delivered! Every minor request I had she fulfilled and I really appreciated all of her help. All of our guests raved about the food, and Rob and I were thrilled with how everything turned out. We had a wonderful time planning the wedding and had the most fabulous time at our wedding and we really owe a lot of that to Kelsey!

Windows was wonderful. Everyone at our wedding RAVED about the food - I knew it was good, but honestly was surprised at how much everyone loved it! We worked with Kelsey, who was so helpful, nice, and creative. She worked with us to achieve exactly the sort of spread that represented us, and that we knew would make our guests happy. We looked at a few catering companies, and we definitely got great value for money with windows. It's not cheap, but it's certainly reasonable and very much worth it!

Windows did a fabulous job with our wedding. From the table linens to the food, everything was absolutely amazing. Guests continue to make comments about how incredible the food was (filet w/mushrooms, green beans, potato croquette) as well as the cake!! They were so flexible and professional! Debbie Beard was our event planner and she was fabulous to work with. She has great ideas (if you have trouble making decisions) and can work with you to make anything happen! Listen, to say I loved our caterer would be lying. Because I more than loved them. My husband and I love food. His favorite part of wedding planning was the caterer tastings I drug him to. And I drug him to quite a lot of tastings before we decided on Windows. And that's not because after tasting Windows we were still concerned that it wasn't "the best" (because it was) but we were concerned with the price. It was a bit more expensive than some of the others. But if I had to do it all over again, I'd pick Windows right from the start. Heck, I'll pick Windows when my children have birthday parties! I'm sure their plated dinner would have wowed our guests, but we went with a family style dinner that seriously led to amazing comments from everyone.

Aunt: "I never thought to do family style at a wedding, it was FABULOUS!"

Friend: "I'm mad I ate before I came. Wedding food is always crap and I didn't want to be hungry. I am so sick right now because I made myself eat everything I could because it's so freakin good!"

Windows delivered amazing food and amazing service. Our day kicked off with lemonade and iced tea in the grove before the ceremony. Followed by delicious cocktail hour treats including buffalo chicken skewers per my husband's request. Dinner was plated so beautifully on the platters! And the service included never having an empty wine glass. Thanks for that!!!

Dessert was a brownie buffet and a cupcake buffet. And oh yeah the crowd pleaser - mini ice cream cones that were passed out during the dance party. Everyone was double fisting those!

Really you know it's good when friends post more facebook pictures of the food, than they do drunken self portraits.

ALSO, Nicole was fabulous to work with. She's totally cool and totally on top of it and answered every "I forgot what kind of tables we decided on..." email I sent within a few hours. She set up for us and then had to go, but she left us with another amazing girl whose name escapes me right now, but is the sole reason my mother didn't get smashed. I'd see her trading my mom a glass of water for every glass of wine she had. So funny, and I really could kiss her for being so awesome.

We worked with Nicole at Windows for our June 26 wedding. She was so accommodating at every step of the way. I planned the wedding from Los Angeles, only coming into town for a few trips. She worked around my visits and within our budget. I would definitely, definitely recommend them again. Guests were raving about the quality and quantity of food (and trust me, it was not an easy crowd). When there was a minor snafu with the soft drinks (we used an outside vendor who unfortunately left them off the order), Windows took care of it all -- and didn't even let me know until after the wedding so I didn't worry about it on the day! You guys are awesome!!!!

We had the most wonderful experience with Windows Catering. Our contact, Debbie Beard, was simply superb. We always felt as if we were the only guests and clients and Debbie was always on top of her game. She responded to all questions, e-mails, phone calls not just on the same day but within mins sometimes. We did tastings around DC and hands down, Windows, had the best food. When you come in to their office, you know the company knows what they are doing! Every single guest complimented us on the food. It was fantastic and Debbie's energy was contagious!

We thought we were going to go with a small caterer to get the best quality and service...but Windows was amazing. The food was great, our planner was extra flexible and they accommodated all of our requests without hesitating. We bought random china, silver and stemware instead of renting; Windows never even questioned that choice. Excellent catering vendor!

Karol at Windows Catering was amazing! Windows put together an amazing menu that was exactly what I wanted and worked with me to tweak and make changes until I was satisfied! The food was amazing, the staff was wonderful and professional, and everyone is talking about how great it was! Thanks!

Windows did a wonderful job at our wedding. I had solicited countless proposals from area caterers, and only Windows met our price point without sacrificing elegance and quality. Danielle Couick of Windows was absolutely wonderful to work with and designed an elegant and well choreographed dinner. Danielle had to work from scratch to create a dining atmosphere as our venue was a museum and not set up to provide dinner to large groups. She created beautiful table-scapes that captured the elegant feel I wanted.

She was extremely flexible and worked to create a menu that fit within our budget. The tasting experience was out of this world and definitely one of the best parts of the wedding planning! And, I cannot say enough about Window's cakes. Choosing a cake from all of the wonderful flavors was our most difficult decision.

Danielle and her wait staff truly impressed me on the day-of with their attention to detail. Danielle made a point to create a plate of hors d'oeuvres especially for my husband and me to enjoy since we missed most of the cocktail hour taking pictures. Thanks to her, we were able to savor a few moments together enjoying fabulous food before joining our guests at dinner.

Danielle was responsive, professional, and simply a nice person. We would highly recommend her and Windows to any future brides and grooms.

We worked with Nicole at Windows, and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From our first tasting, we felt that Nicole's tastes aligned perfectly with what we were looking for in terms of linens, place settings, etc and she gave us some fantastic ideas that we wouldn't have thought of on our own. We liked that Nicole gave us a tour of the kitchens - she was great at explaining how everything would work on our wedding day.
We looked at a few caterers and Windows offered competitive prices for our wedding of 125. We got so many compliments on our meal in terms of taste & presentation (the tenderloin served at our wedding was even better than the steaks we had at Mortons at our rehearsal, and everyone loved the pear-shaped potato croquettes). Windows also made our cake - a wedding cheesecake that was to die for, and absolutely gorgeous.
Unfortunately due to an emergency Nicole couldn't be there on our wedding day. So she passed all of our information off to Karol, who was equally wonderful. Karol was an absolute pleasure to work with, and was so prepared, a testament to how well Nicole had it all organized, and everything went off perfectly. The waitstaff as well were professional and very friendly. Windows is definitely a talented and experienced company and I'd highly recommend working with either Nicole or Karol.

My husband and I can't express in words how wonderful Windows Catering has been to us! If you are looking for a caterer, you won't find a company that is more professional, flexible, and pleasant! From the delicious food (which my guests are still raving about way after the wedding) to the meticulous details that Windows Catering attended to such as the table cloth & napkins on my table, they had made me a worry-free bride throughout my wedding planning period of a year and a half!

Phenomenal. Windows Catering did such a fantastic job at our wedding I still cant believe it. My coordinator, Arney, was so great to work with extremely professional, responsive, creative, flexible, and best of all she always had a great attitude. She handled quite a few things food, cake, liquor, linens, china. And they were all great. The day of the wedding everything went so smoothly, I was so impressed and so were all of my guests. The food was great (their cakes and desserts are particularly amazing), the setup of everything was gorgeous, the waitstaff was so nice I cant rate them highly enough!

Danielle with Windows I cannot say enough great things. She was AMAZING from day one. Windows had amazing food and created a menu totally around our tastes. We had mini cheeseburgers at cocktail hour that everyone raved about and our cake was chocolate perfection. Danielle was so patient with every change i made and i tasted about 50 cakes before we found the right one. They were so responsive to last minute changes and worked seamlessly on the night of the wedding. While they were expensive they prooved they were worth it in quality, attentivness, creativity, and professionalism. I highly recommmend not only Windows but especially Danielle.

My wedding would not have happened if it were not for Derek Friday from Windows. He went above and beyond a caterer and really became an important component to my wedding. He gives you suggestions, he is flexible, funny, and knows his stuff. He was always there for me and even went to help me pick a florist! I am almost speachless about the abilities of Derek. He will make you feel relaxed that day and will give you a successful wedding. He is just plain amazing!

For many years, we have enjoyed AFCEA DC Winter Gala- an event that Windows Catering Company supports. This event is huge and beautiful from start to finish! Year after year Windows "wows" the crowd of 800+ attendees with creative themes and exquiste gingerbread houses. We called Windows Catering Company to inquire if they would take care of our "small" bridal shower. They did and made our party just as beautiful and special as the Gala! We were so pleased with their ideas, creations and guidance- perfection in every little detail!

Windows Catering Team was professional, polite and conscientious from set up, to execution to clean up and pick up. The tablescape was fun and creative and the dishes, flatware and glasses made everything so elegant. The food was delicious- especially the mini tacos and the champagne mojitos- WOW!

Our shower was very small compared to the Gala, but it was over the top nonetheless. The Bride was pleased! Thank you!

We utilized Windows Catering for a corporate event with 20 people that we hosted in our house. After contacting them directly, they came to our home to help plan the table arrangements. We didn't think we had a space to fit everyone for a seated dinner, but they figured out a configuration that made it work (and everyone was still comfortable with plenty of room!).

Service was great. From the bartender to the dinner service, it was white glove service the entire time. The staff was attentive, flexible, and overall top notch.

The food was also great. They helped us customize a menu that worked in our budget and the chef utilized the garage space to craft all the meals. We had passed hors d'oeuvres, followed by an appetizer that was family style dim sum. The dumplings they made were excellent. The main course was also great; we had steak with a bunch of various sides. They had dessert (chocolate cake + coffee) ready to go right after dinner.

They did a great job cleaning up as well, leaving things exactly the way they found them.

I would highly recommend anyone thinking about hosting a corporate event to reach out to Windows. You won't be disappointed.

Ashley at Windows was wonderful! The food was excellent, and she was very helpful making arrangements. Although it is expensive, it is in line with what other catering services would have charged, and with far more options and more attention to detail. The presentation was amazing, the food was the best I've ever had at a catered event, and their willingness to work with us and change the menu according to our tastes was spectacular. We are foodies and were very particular about what we wanted--specific foreign cuisine--and they delivered! We received many compliments on the food, and the service was stellar. (We had a buffet--and we were delighted when Ashley came up to me and my husband and asked if we'd like her to fix us a plate so we could continue chatting. They waited on us all night, which we hadn't expected, and which was a lovely surprise.) The only reason I am giving 4.5 stars on value is because I think catering is generally too pricey in our area; but I thought Windows did a wonderful job overall. I would highly recommend them.

Just....wow. Windows (Nicole, Amanda) was wonderful to work with - patient, responsive, attentive and sweet. They had wonderful ideas and executed my vision flawlessly. I'm admittedly a bit of a control freak about details, and Amanda set up everything perfectly. Her assistance with shuffling us from place to place during the beginning of the reception was also SO appreciated. In addition, Windows went out and PURCHASED some additional equipment for our cookie table so it would be coordinated. This was not necessary and it really went above and beyond. The biggest compliment we've received from our guests is that the food was incredible - the best wedding food they'd ever had combined with excellent portions. My groom and I *made* time to eat because there was no way were missing out on the strawberry tuna, curry chicken cups, prosciutto purses, or our incredible main courses! When its all said and done, the caterer is really critical for a great wedding and Windows executed wonderfully, even taking on some setup & coordination duties that weren't technically "in scope."

The only reason I'm not giving all 5s is just a general "holy crap" about the cost of the non-food items at a wedding. Windows was much more flexible on pricing than some other companies, and it is ultimately one of the reasons (in addition to fantastic food) that they earned our business! We really got what we paid for!

We narrowed our caterer search to two vendors quite quickly and then went through full tastings and proposals with each. We did our tasting at Windows first and it simply set a standard the other "top" caterer in DC couldn't match - from presentation to food, Windows was superior. We were matched w/Karol as our representative and she was so amazing we didn't feel the need to hire a DOC.

When we found a table setting during our other tasting, Karol was quick to track that down for us and when my husband wasn't crazy about the fish that was done during the tasting, Karol worked with him to develop a different dish and then did a new tasting specifically for him. She also arranged flowers, cigar lounge furniture, lighting (to name a few) for us which was critical because of our crazy jobs.

When we were slightly behind schedule at the reception, they slipped dinner by 20-30 minutes w/out issue and people still raved that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. She also assigned a server to us for the night to ensure we actually ate and had drinks - this allowed us to really spend time with our guests.

Windows is worth every penny!

Fantastic food! Great staff! Catering manager was very flexible & allowed us to re-taste until they got things exactly the way we wanted. They even made a main dish that we gave them the recipe for. The appetizers were "to die for"!!! We are serious "foodies" as are many of our friends... and we heard such great compliments on all of the food.

We supplied our own alcohol, and when the catering manager realized that we were running low on white wine, she very quietly & tactfully let us know with enough time for her to run to a wine shop and buy an extra case before anyone missed anything...

The waitstaff were always there when we needed them and the entire staff was very pleasant & willing to help us with anything we requested. They served everything on schedule and clean up was done very efficiently.

We would definitely use them again!

A few months before my reception I decided to host a small breakfast the morning after for out of town guests. I wanted to do something nicer than what the hotel could offer, but with the convenience of everyone at the hotel being able to just walk down from their room. Finding a caterer that does smaller scale hot breakfasts was harder than it might sound! One business was closed, another too busy, another in the midst of a move, and so on. Anne and Windows came to my rescue! They were extremely responsive, flexible and had exactly what I was looking for. Anne was actually so great, she even gave me honest suggestions on where I could save money instead of just racking up as many charges as she could. I really respect that and I loved the thoughtful touches that were completely unexpected - bride and groom decorated donuts, a personal note and even a best wishes email after. Great experience from start to finish!

We have worked with Windows for several occasions and it has always been a positive experience. They have served us during a Naval Academy graduation party as well as our engagement party. After that, we could not find a caterer who would do as good of a job as Windows.
They are able to do almost anything you ask, all types of desserts, starters and dinners. They can also provide you with vendors and all other necessary information.

Yes they are a bit pricy, but when your guests compliment on the food a thousand times, you know you made a good decision. Everything was so very professional and I am sure I will use them again when an opportunity comes.

Windows catered our wedding on December 28, 2013. We were truly impressed from the first interaction through the entire event. We engaged with several vendors throughout this process, and hands down Windows was the most professional, most responsive and really saw to it that everything else came together. On top of that responsiveness, the food was truly spectacular. We couldn't have been happier and would recommend Windows to anyone who wants a top tier service and product.

Absolutely a fabulous caterer from the first tasting to the wedding dinner. The food was superb, the planning pain free with so many choices and countless helpful suggestions from Karol. The tables were so elegant and again many choices for table settings so one could do whatever is their vision.The dinner was perfect. We are so glad that we chose Windows Catering for our wedding, and specifically working with Nicole was wonderful. She was extremely flexible, patient, accommodating, and understanding. And by far the best part of working with her was her responsiveness; if I sent an email with any questions or concerns she would very quickly answer back. I can't emphasize enough how much this was appreciated especially in the weeks leading up to the wedding when things can get a bit more stressful. Some of the other vendors I worked with would take weeks (as in two to three weeks) to get back to me.

Nicole did a great job the day of the wedding; she executed all that we had discussed and fulfilled the role of event manager really well, making sure things were running smoothly and keeping things on track.

What really solidified our decision to go with Windows was the attention to the customer--Nicole set up a tasting with just my husband and I so we got to review the foods with her one-on-one as they came out and were able to discuss what we liked and didn't like. The food was truly delicious, looked beautiful and we were able to mix and match things from different dishes to suit our tastes. She was also really patient and helpful when we were deciding the reception schedule and was able to give great input as to what would allow the reception to flow best. Overall I would definitely recommend Windows, and specifically Nicole, for wedding catering!

Wow! Where do I begi?. Ashley Beard at Windows Catering far exceeded our expectations. The flexibility that we were given was freeing and during our event there was not a moment when someone did not feel taken care of. There were some misunderstandings behind the scenes, but not once were they permitted to be exposed to me or any of our guests. Ashley became a friend through this whole process and we wish her and Windows all the success in the world.

We choose Windows because they were highly recommended by friends of ours. My first contact with them was horrendous! Nicole would not call me back nor was she helpful when I asked questions. Finally after waiting more than ten days for an answer, I called back and told them I refuse to work with her and unless they assigned us someone else, they would lose our business. The gentleman on the phone told me someone would call me back in 5 minutes. Enter Karol Contreras to the rescue! She apologized for the way we were treated and immediately asked what she could do for us.

Throughout our entire planning process Karol assisted, made suggestions and helped make our vision to come to life. The food was excellent just as it was during our tasting. The presentation was exactly what we had invisioned and the staff was wonderful! They were everywhere we were and it seems that no one had to wait for anything.

Edwin, our bartender helped with a potentially disastrous situation and was extremely kind and helpful throughout the evening. The headwaiter was very kind and stayed by our side most of the evening.

Karol provided little touches that she knew we would like based on previous discussions. Our signature drink was quite a hit with our guests and with us.

Overall, our reception was exactly as we had planned and we could not think of any aspect that we would change. Of course like everyone else has commented, the pricing was high but we were happy with what we received otherwise. I HIGHLY recommend Karol!

Our point of contact was Ashley Beard.

We began working with Windows and Ashley a year out from our wedding. Ashley was completely candid and honest with us at all times. She never tried to sway us in any way. She also helped us to find the best foods for our budget and worked with us extensively.

Ashley was prompted in returning emails and phone calls, with both me (the bride) and my parents.

On the day of the event Ashley was there to oversee the catering behind the scenes. She did a great job of making sure the food aspect ran smoothly.

Everything was tasty and the guests enjoyed their meals!
I highly recommend Windows catering for any event!

Right after our engagement, my husband and I sat down and made a list of the things that were important to us entering into wedding planning; high-quality, delicious and accessible food topped both our lists.

We did a lot of research and narrowed down our selections to Occasions Caterers and Windows Catering. We solicited proposals from each company and received similar menus in return; however, the cost quote from Windows was literally thousands of dollar less than Occasions, so we decided to attend a tasting event with Windows.

We were not disappointed. The food was extremely tasty and we were impressed with the variety of options they offered. We contracted with Windows a couple days later.

I had a wonderful experience working with Windows. I was lucky enough to be assigned to Nicole, who worked diligently to ensure that the food and decor for our wedding was flawless. I have a difficult, seasonal work schedule and Nicole was more than accommodating; she provided us with helpful suggestions, while understanding that my husband and I had our own unique ideas.

When our wedding day finally arrived, our guests were thrilled with the high quality of the food they received from Windows- most of our guests commented that it the food was restaurant-quality and not the typical “wedding food” most caterers serve. The Kobe Short Ribs of Beef and the Poblano Corn Souffle we run-away hits (guests told me they visited the buffet for 5th and 6th helpings).

All in all, I am absolutely thrilled with Windows and Nicole. They were professional, helpful, and most importantly, delicious. I highly recommend them.

Windows catering provides food that is not your typical wedding food. It is pricey but the food was delicious and our guests still rave over it. I was also pleased with my wedding cake I had provided them with a picture of a beautiful cake and it was replicated exactly. It was perfect. If you are looking to wow your guests, go with Windows.

Everything I asked for and more! The food was wonderful--my guests couldn't stop complementing. The linens were wonderful, the staff friendly--everything was prompt, tidy, and professional. Wonderful!

I had my wedding at Ospreys Landing, who has their catering service with Windows. I had heard good things about Windows so I was excited to try them out! When I went to the tasting the food was amazing! All my guest at the wedding loved the food! Not one bad comment! Only thing I did hear about was that during cocktail hour the hor dourves ran out. So just make sure that they have enough for all your guest. Other then that the food was perfect!

A beautiful venue and the food was wonderful. I was told by everyone who attended that this was the best wedding food they had ever tasted. Debora was hired a month before our wedding, but honored all items in my previous contract, even took money off the final bill when the wrong tablecloths had been ordered. She was very responsive and even provided a diagram of the ballroom, which helped my wedding planner with decor set up. The Club was so accommodating and is very open and reasonable with any decor idea you may have. Our extra food was packaged up as well. The Club was just the perfect backdrop to a beautiful wedding reception, and it is so affordable. I have done the research, you will pay double at any other non-military facility like it.

We went with Windows Catering because we were told they are the best. They most certainly were. Our wedding was on June 13, 2010 at Woodend in Chevy Chase, MD. The food was excellent. I have been told by numerous people it was the best food they have ever eaten at a wedding. I also got my cake from the caterer which at first I wasn't sure about. I had guest tell me they ate two pieces because it was soooooooo GOOD! All the food was just perfectly cooked. It was wonderful. I would use them again.

Windows was great! My contact, Nicole was always professional, flexible, courteous and calm. They found solutions to fit my budget. The set up looked fabulous, the food was delicious and they supplied a wonderful basket of food for us to take to our honeymoon suite. I tried several other caterers in the area and they were by far the best.

Windows was a great choice for our wedding caterer. They were willing to let us take the reins in creating the menu and helped us pick food choices that went with our vision and incorporated many of our favorite foods. I got so many compliments on our wedding cake, and it was delicious! The service at the wedding was exceptional. The wait staff filled my plate for me since I kept getting stopped on my way to the buffet and made sure that my husband and I had everything we needed. They were extremely attentive. Sometimes it was hard to get in touch with our contact at Windows, but overall she was very accommodating and helpful. There were a few details with the food that got missed on our wedding day (ingredients in a salad we had asked for: nuts, cheese, fruit, etc.) but for us, it was a minor mistake.

They did a really nice job. They even boxed up all the left over food that we paid for but had 8 people not come after they RSVPED. They also set everything we gave them out and really took care of us. The food was to die for. We are moving to Italy... Military so we went out side of the box and had Italion. and everyone loved it! The Kids who are picky and never eat at wedding were able to find something.

Windows provided an exceptional dinner, exceptional service, and attention to every little detail I requested for my wedding of 250. The logistics were difficult due to the location, but they handled everything beautifully. They cleaned up quickly and thoroughly, and the food got rave reviews from the guests. They are, however, quite expensive.

The food at our cocktail hour and reception tasted great! A lot of people came up to us and said they really enjoyed it and had more than one plate. The tasting was great and they answered all my questions. The only downside is that I requested that everything be nut-free (only a few dishes had nuts) but I found out after the wedding from one our guests allergic to nuts that there were nuts in the salad. Other than that everything was great.
