Willow creek is a hidden gem that we were lucky enough to find. The venue is a magical forest decorated with little twinkle lights. It’s cozy and enchanting. The perfect place to spend the best day of your life with your person. We had the pleasure of getting Julie as our coordinator. She is an incredible person, also amazing at her job. She somehow took our small budget and gave us big results with tons of recommendations. Bethany is also super talented. The venue did our floral and we were so pleased. I would 1000% recommend

My husband and I had our wedding at Willow Creek Ranch, and we were totally impressed with our experience here and working with Bethany. There are simply not enough amazing things we could say about working with Bethany. Bethany had great communication and since the beginning she had quick responses to our questions which made planning our wedding very efficient. She has a lot of experience in the wedding industry and would ask us questions about things we didn't even consider. She was EXTREMELY accommodating - my husband and I are both healthcare workers who occasionally work Saturdays with changing schedules throughout the week - this never was an issue when it came to planning our wedding. The location is extremely beautiful from the daytime to sunset and even to night time with all the lights and chandeliers. There are honestly SO many locations to take beautiful photos in and this was a big factor as we wanted a variety of places for backdrop - there's a lavender field, a bridge overlooking a small pond area, and a place with a sing - this is not including the picturesque house covered in vines and the ceremony site. Additionally, all the decor in the photos below were included (even the furniture, florals, and table settings). We chose the package that included florals and Bethany (who is also a florist) went ABOVE and BEYOND with the floral arrangements and bouquets, literally making my Pinterest autumn wedding dreams come true. The day of the wedding went as smoothly as weddings can possibly go and despite it being the craziest day, it was also one of the best days of our lives. We really owe it all to Bethany and cannot rave enough about her and her team. We've heard from many of our friends who got married about something they didn't like about their wedding planning process, but honestly, working with Bethany was completely smooth, stress-free, and an efficient yet detailed process. If you are thinking about having a wedding at Willow Creek Ranch, I 1000% would recommend it. (All photos in this review are from our wonderful wedding photographer Carmelisse Photography)!

Let me just get straight to the point: Willow Creek is amazing. We could not be any more happy with how our Big Day went, and a lot of that is accredited to Bethany, and her team. First off, the venue is extraordinarily beautiful. It’s so green, alive and covered with all kinds of wonderful shade. The actual layout of the venue is perfect. The area in which the ceremony takes place is so pretty – we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The reception area is right by the ceremony area, making easy access for the reception to come. The reception area is also so beautiful, with lots of shade, and many beautiful features to make the day extra memorable. We had several guests comment that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended.
Secondly, Bethany and her team at Willow Creek were equally fantastic. Bethany truly does all she can do to make your special day the best it can be. The communication was great, and she is very easy going. She was on top of things the entire time, which made our life so much more easy. We couldn’t have asked anymore from Bethany and her team, and we are so thankful for all their hard work.
If you’re considering Willow Creek has the venue for your special day, DO IT, I promise you will not regret it.

I couldn’t say enough wonderful things about Willow Creek as a venue! I planned my wedding over a year and a half ago and from the very beginning, up until the honeymoon, Willow creek has been an absolute dream! Every question I had was answered quickly and they were so helpful with every little thing. I felt like I had true control over every detail and they were so supportive of it all. The venue was just what I was looking for as far as intimate, romantic, and to be honest, a photographers dream location! Between the twinkly lights, the rustic feel and all the beautiful touches they put into your wedding, I couldn’t have asked for a better venue to work with!

Bethany is great. She is also an amazing florist FYI. The venue is so beautiful. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

We wanted something picturesque with lots of green and tree shade. There were many venues that had qualities of an outdoor venue but Willow Creek checked all of the boxes for being rustic, authentic and inclusive chairs and tables.

Recently, I captured James & Joshua's wedding on 10/21/23, and prior to that, Jamie & Lindsey's wedding on 11/13/21. Willow Creek Events, a private, family-owned haven in North San Diego County, consistently delivers a personalized and picturesque wedding experience.

One of my favorite spots for capturing the magic is the small lavender field, especially at sunset, offering breathtaking views and creating truly unforgettable moments.

Bethany's involvement, not only as the venue owner but also as the coordinator and florist, adds a unique and personal touch to each event. From a photographer and videographer's standpoint, the venue's aesthetics and careful planning make it a dream to capture the essence of love and celebration. I cannot say enough positive things about Willow Creek and Bethany and her team. First, the venue itself is gorgeous and the value was amazing. All of the small details that were available to us were incredible. The location is so pretty to begin with that you hardly need any extra decor. Second, they were a perfect spot for a micro wedding like we had with only 13 guests. We also did our flowers through Bethany; which were gorgeous. She made things easy and simple. We were originally supposed to be married in Maui but with Covid and my husband being in the Navy we had to pivot and start planning something in San Diego instead. She was patient with us and so laid back, it helped make the process easy! I highly recommend booking Willow Creek, it was the best decision we made!

Willow Creek Ranch was a venue we fell in love with a few years ago when we first started planning our wedding. We had to push it back due to a deployment, and our budget shrunk over time, so we wound up choosing a different venue. Then covid hit and everything got tossed up in the air again. We hired a coordinator who connected us back with Willow Creek Ranch to have a micro wedding, and after having to postpone again one week out in December, the coordinator turned out to be a scam artist. Bethany at Willow Creek, however, stood by us and made sure we still were able to have our special day, and followed through on every commitment but also went above and beyond for us I’m so many ways. She stepped in as our coordinator, she put out a few fires on the actual wedding day to make sure everything went as-planned, and put in way more work than we expected her to. She was truly our guardian angel with this wedding planning process, and we can’t thank her enough or speak highly enough of her. Our wedding honestly probably wouldn’t ha e happened without her, and she did way more than she needed to simply because she’s a good person. To say we are thankful for her is a huge understatement!

Absolutely stunning and wonderful service

Willow Creek Ranch was a dream to work with. Bethany coordinated all of the planning and was our day of coordinator, she was the absolute best. We were forced to reschedule from our original date and they were so accommodating. Their spacious outdoor venue was the perfect location for a pandemic wedding, everyone was able to enjoy themselves without feeling they were putting their health at risk. The property is covered by mature trees that make it such a comfortable place to have an outdoor event, even in the summer. One of my favorite things about working with Willow Creek Ranch was all of the accessories they allow you to use for no additional charge. You can bring in your own accessories or choose to use their vintage furniture (chair, couches), various table numbers, card boxes, lanterns, candles, way finding signage, etc. It was so great to have all of the little touches without having to buy everything on our own. We have heard from so many friends and family members that this venue was like nothing they had ever been to and we just can't say enough about how wonderful they were to work with. Highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Willow Creek enough!!! Every single person was an absolute dream to work with! Bethany, Sue and Julie were incredibly attentive and thorough from the start, answering my many questions without hesitation. The property itself is straight out of a fairytale and makes for the most breathtaking backdrop for not only the ceremony and reception, but also the most amazing pictures! The newly renovated bridal suite is everything you could hope for, making getting ready that much more fun! The willow/olive trees and lavender field, mixed with the pergola and grape vines create the most stunning venue! While there was unexpected rain the day of our wedding, Bethany and her team came to the rescue the morning of, coming up with creative solutions to make sure our day was still perfect! In addition, they have the most beautiful decor (seriously look at their amazing furniture options!!) and signage available to use, as well as vintage glassware which looked beautiful on our tablescapes! Oh and I can't forget to mention the swing and bridge on site that add to that outdoor charm! We fell in love with Willow Creek after our tour, but believe me when I say booking Willow Creek will make all your wedding dreams come true!

Willow Creek Ranch was everything I hoped for to create a perfect wedding..The setting was heavenly, green and lush. Even the downpour the night before and the on and off drizzle on the day of the wedding couldn't take away from the success of the event. Sue, the venue owner, and her team. were so easy to work with. She was flexible and knew how to make changes to protect guests from the elements and was even able to acquire tents two days before the wedding, which was for 200 people. The tents actually added something magical to the setting. I particularly liked the options I had to make changes to the actual wedding. I got a choice of DJ, worked with Bethany to create the beautiful flower arrangements, and could bring in my own beer and wine and caterer. Not one guest had a negative comment about the wedding and they raved about the setting, services, and dreamlike atmosphere, and all at a reasonable price. We even got a rainbow over the bride and groom in one photo.

No words to describe how amazing the venue is and Sue is so great to work with. I fell in love with the venue, but Sue sealed the deal. She is so involve and it feels like she takes every wedding personal and wants to do everything she can to make it the best day ever. My wedding is in September and I can't wait! I know it will be nothing but perfect thanks to Sue and Bethany! Truly an amazing experience thus far. I would highly recommend Willow Creek Ranch for your wedding!

5 stars doesn't even begin to describe how incredible Willow Creek Ranch is. My Wedding was everything I imagined it to be and more! I have not one complaint. Everyone loved how simply gorgeous and elegant the venue was. Your pictures will turn out amazing!!! Sue, the owner she was amazing, reliable and so helpful which definitely makes for a stress free wedding.

I cannot say enough about our incredible experience with Sue at Willow Creek. Sue is the sweetest lady I have ever met and has such a great design eye and deep understanding of what a bride wants and is imaging. When we first visited Willow Creek, I truly fell in love. It was the perfect rustic venue for us. It is all outdoors, filled with beautiful tress, and lots of rustic charm. The ceremony site has amazing chic french doors and an breathtaking arbor set next to a pond. The reception area is situated under large trees with antique frames hanging, twinkle lights in the sky, and a fire pit. I loved how much Sue had to offer us. We were able to use so much of what she had: antique chairs, wine barrel tables, benches, carafes, mason jars, and mercury glass votives. She completely took all of my ideas and made them a reality! I loved how I was able to add some personal touches and they fit in flawlessly. Her table designs are impeccable. The tables turned out better than I ever could have imagined. Sue made our day beyond perfect and I cannot thank her enough! Willow Creek is truly the most perfect rustic venue.

Sue is a wonderful wedding coordinator that loves falling into the details with the bride. She was so considerate, thoughtful, and helpful throughout the whole planning process and she made the event come together seamlessly. The estate was open whenever we needed to come by and use it, and Sue was always available to meet with us. Her husband maintains the grounds, which are absolutely beautiful and her daughter, Bethany did a wonderful job with the floral arrangements.

The venue stands for itself and lends an intimate romantic setting for a wedding. The value is great for anyone looking for a reasonably priced wedding venue.

I love, love, loved Sue and her venue! My husband and I had our wedding at Willow Creek last October, and it was everything we had hoped and dreamed. The place is absolutely beautiful with a shabby-chic feel of chandeliers, willow trees and a cute little pond. Sue was there to help every step of the way. From the flowers, decor, rentals and catering recommendations. She made everything so easy, and I really enjoyed working with her and her team. I highly recommend this venue.

Sue was great! She was super sweet and very flexible. It was obvious she cares about her customers and their experience. She did everything she could to help make sure we had a great wedding experience at her venue. The property is beautiful and very spacious. It does not take a lot of decor to make it spectacular, but if you want lots of decor there is plenty of room to do so. Of course, as the venue is outdoors, rain is a risk. We were able to move the dance floor inside, but the ceremony and food were outside. It was a little chilly and wet for our guests, but Sue helped us to try and secure canopies to make the best of the weather. Overall, it was a pleasure to work with Sue and I would highly recommend Willow Creek Ranch to anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor venue.

Overall, Willow Creek is an AMAZING wedding venue. It is located in a charming, quaint part of North County San Diego... as you drive there you think 'where on earth am I going?!' but as soon as you pull into the gate, it all makes sense. The grounds are green and open, with lots of trees and whole lot of character throughout. There are already cute vintage details i.e. chandeliers hanging from the gorgeous trees. If you are looking for an outdoor venue with some rustic touches, but a beautiful blank canvas, this venue is perfect!

Sue, the owner, is very accommodating. She has vintage decor/pieces she lets you use to help design your event, including vintage wine glasses, chairs, etc. She was even nice enough to let me paint a few items to fit my needs and we had access to the venue the whole WEEK prior to the wedding, which was so helpful! She helped me research rentals and had some great ideas. She was really sweet and was genuinely excited to hear about the details I was working on for the wedding and help things come together. I would recommend hiring an additional wedding coordinator for the day of the event to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

The only negative thing about the whole experience was the mandatory vendor list for floral, DJ and bartending. Floral worked out great. We were able to chose from 3 DJ vendors and this ended up being a nightmare. We would have been better off having no DJ and it was disappointing that it was on the list of mandatory DJs. We got a refund for part of the night because things went that poorly. Also the venue owners had pretty strict rules on the sound level, even before 9PM which was a bummer. My only complaint about the Bartender was that he did not provide the ice. In my experience, a hired bartender would take care of all the details, but instead I had to have a family member purchase and deliver 20 20lb. bags of ice on the wedding day which was less than ideal.

I can't image a more beautiful venue for a wedding - gorgeous location! Definitely worth the drive. The photos are amazing, with so many pretty backgrounds. Sue is great to work with...very creative, artistic, and generous with her time, though she can be a little slow to respond to emails/phone calls. She has a lot of nice vintage china and antique furniture, which enhanced the elegant, vintage look my daughter and son-in-law wanted. I'm so glad we found Sue and Willow Creek.
