    Gorgeous design and detail oriented! Whitney is the best!

    Whitney was my planner for my September 2019 wedding, and working with her was a dream! I chose Whitney because of her eye for design and attention to detail, and she surpassed my expectations. She very quickly grasped by vision for the wedding aesthetic (outdoor elegance with blue and white hues inspired by Portuguese tiles) and designed the wedding with gorgeous detail. From the signage, table settings, linens, furniture, flowers, and guest favors, everything was beautiful.

    In addition to Whitney's expert design skills, she was very helpful in hiring all my vendors and guiding me in that process. She accompanied me to my vendor visits with the rentals company and florist, and I so appreciated her guidance in helping me make good decisions that aligned with my vision and didn't exceed my budget. Wedding planning can be (very) stressful and Whitney was cool, calm, and collected and a voice of reason the entire time, especially when my venue was being difficult in the months before the wedding.

    My wedding day was more perfect than I ever could have imagined, thanks to Whitney! Everything was organized and Whitney is an absolute pro so I didn't have to worry about a single thing and I could fully be in the moment and enjoy my wedding. Several guests remarked that it was the best wedding they have been to, and that would not have been possible without Whitney. I 100% recommend her to any brides!

    If you want the short version, Whitney kicks ass, hire her immediately! She turned all of our crazy wedding ideas into a reality, and executed our dream wedding flawlessly. She is organized, knowledgeable, business savvy, performs well under pressure, and is hilarious. Now if you are as crazy a researcher as I was and would like to know more, keep reading…

    I have always dreamed about my wedding dress, not my wedding, just the dress. With that being said, I had absolutely no idea where to start when it came to wedding planning. When my husband and I got engaged in October of 2017 we decided that we were going to enjoy our engagement and not even think about wedding planning until 2018. When we started making calls to venues in January 2018 we were basically laughed at for thinking that we would be able to pull together a wedding by summer 2018.

    Those venues had clearly not met Whitney Nelson.

    On February 25, 2018 I sent Whitney an email after drooling all over her Instagram account, the subject of that email read “HELP, Summer 2018 Wedding”. Whitney responded in less than 24 hours! Who even does that anymore?! Already we were impressed. In her response she not only confirmed that she was available for the date that we were hoping for, but she reassured us that she could make our summer wedding a reality. Her confidence was exactly what our flip-flopping selves needed.

    Our initial call with Whitney was frantic, disorganized and basically just me brain dumping on Whitney all of the crazy ideas we had for our wedding. To be honest we were surprised Whitney did not turn us away. She listened closely and by the end of the call she was able to repeat back to me a full list of action items. When we got off of the call with her it felt as if a huge weight was taken off of our shoulders. We now had an actual professional who was going to make sure our wedding was perfect for us, with all of the personality and unique touches that we were hoping for. I came to learn that this was one of the many things I would appreciate about Whitney, she was always open to listening. Whitney was officially our wedding planner and we were going to be married on August 11, 2018!

    Fast forward 6 months, 6 million phone calls/text messages/emails, we had the wedding of our dreams.

    Design: Whitney can do it all, she has the vision and loves unique. When I told her all of the things I “didn’t want”, she understood and offered other creative suggestions.

    Tracking: Whitney made sure that all of our vendors were organized, paid for on time, and that we were getting the best bang for our buck. Whitney has an incredible network of stellar vendors in all price ranges, all who clearly love working with her. It was SO nice to have Whitney to take on all of the footwork with these vendors so that we could just focus on the fun stuff! I didn’t have to send any more “are you available?” emails. HUGE relief.

    Day of: On my wedding day, the question I was asked the most was “how are you so calm??” My answer every single time would be, I have Whitney. I worked a full-time job up until the Thursday of my wedding weekend. No one at my company understood this. They shared stories of all of the last-minute things they had to do for their own weddings, and all of the stress they had been under, I had none of that.

    Hire Whitney, you will not regret it.

    Whitney was amazing.

    Everything was perfect day of and leading up to. This woman is so organized! Every detail was attended to, and everything looked gorgeous. She made our dream day a reality.

    Whitney was our "day of" coordinator for our wedding at Beringer Vineyards in August 2015, and let me say she was spectacular. "Day of coordinator" is also not a correct description for all that she does. From sharing her favorite vendors, to doing walk throughs and suggesting reception layouts, Whitney was there every step of the way. She wowed not only me (a very tough customer!), but my parents and now husband. On top of that, the overall knowledge you get from Whitney is so worth every.single.penny. She is super savvy about all wedding vendors in wine country which was reassuring as I sifted through an endless number of florists, bakers, DJs, etc. Every vendor she recommended was simply the best. As someone who is in a client service industry, she impressed me at every turn. She knows so much about how to execute the perfect day that it allows you to actually enjoy your wedding ;) Even a month later, my parents and I are still talking about what an exceptional job she did.. I've recommended her to friends and will continue to sing her praises. Do yourself a favor and hire her NOW for your wedding!

    Whitney is absolutely fantastic! Shortly after we got engaged, we booked Whitney to help us plan our destination wedding in Sonoma and she didn't disappoint. She is so down to earth, communicative, and easy to work with. She helped us stay within our budget and even helped us save money by negotiating discounts with a few vendors. Wedding planning can be overwhelming and stressful at times, and Whitney always made me feel like she was "on our side" and was looking out for our best interests during the entire process. On the day of our wedding, everything ran so smoothly - Whitney put everything together perfectly and I got to fully enjoy our wedding day without worrying about a thing. Thank you so much, Whitney - we couldn't have done it without you!

    Whitney held my hand through my entire wedding planning process and made it almost stress free. Her organization is immaculate and she is so friendly and professional. She is very good at setting a bride at ease which is PRICELESS. I highly recommend using her! I was able to actually enjoy the whole process rather than stress about it. She took it all on. She would even answer my text messages way past office hours whenever a question popped in my head, about anything. I promise adding her in your budget is the smartest thing you can do!

    Whitney was amazing. Our wedding was complicated in that it has two ceremonies, two sites and multiple events and many complicated design features. We had close to 20 vendors she had to manage. Whitney was able to design a day that was unique and amazingly beautiful. She accommodated every request we came up with and found a way to translate them into a unique design. I can not say enough about how much our day exceeded our expectations. It was romantic and modern at the same time. I highly recommend her.

    I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to work with Whitney Nelson Events for my wedding. The day wouldn't have been the same without her assistance. She is very on top of everything. From the caterer to the photographer to the timing of everything. I would recommend her 100% and use her again for another event.

    My husband and I worked with Whitney Nelson Events for full-service wedding coordination and, looking back, it was the best decision we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. Whitney truly brought our wedding vision to life. She attended appointments with us and helped us articulate our vision to vendors; she was mindful of our budget, made sure not to exceed it, and even helped us to save money in many areas; she took us shopping at Bloomingdale's, Macy's, and Costco to pick out groomsmen/groom attire and beverages; and she coordinated the day of with ease and efficiency (or at least she made it look easy). Whitney is professional, reliable, and most of all FUN to work with. We were able to fully enjoy our wedding day and the planning process with no stress. We could not be happier with Whitney Nelson Events and would recommend her services to anyone planning a wedding in the Bay Area.

    Whitney is simply awesome. Without her, I wouldn't even have a venue...I'd probably still be looking. I contacted her in my desperate attempt to find a venue in Nov 2012 for a 2013 wedding. She immediately had a secret venue that didn't advertise and a week later she was hired and the venue signed.
    She made the entire process seem effortless and I couldn't have asked more from a planner. She is organized, responsive, has solutions to every problem, a great list of vendors and does it all with a great sense of humor.

    When some online-ordered loose flowers didn't arrive when they were supposed to, she chased the delivery truck all over the Bay Area and got it all sorted in time. When one of my bridesmaids came down with a stomach bug minutes before the ceremony, she was there with the Pepto. Didn't help the bridesmaid after all, she was out of commission for the wedding, but Whitney's effort counts!

    She made our whole wedding seem so easy and was there every step of the way. I highly recommend her as a planner.

    Whitney was absolutely amazing! I never thought my reception space could look so good! She made me very stress free throughout the whole planning process! She met with me more than once at the venue and gave some extremely good ideas about how to decorate the venue...and it turned out absolutely stunning! She had called me the morning of the wedding to let me know that I was a few table toppers short (which was TOTALLY my fault...I forgot to tell them when I added more tables) and told me that she would get it taken care of and to just enjoy the big day! I don't know what she did, but I didn't even notice! Whitney was my go to woman at the reception! She did a good job of making sure that everything was on schedule (she even stalled the DJ when the groom and I were in the photo booth). She made sure that the DJ was on the same page with the songs that I wanted played during the wedding party intros. I would HIGHLY recommend Whitney for any even. She was absolutely fantastic!

    Simply put, Whitney was amazing. My wife and I live in Louisiana, but our wedding was in Northern California. We hired a coordinator to help with logistics since we expected it to be challenging planning 100 person event from so far away. We were right, and like most couples we completely underestimated the work to be done. Fortunately Whitney was there to guide us along at every step. From the beginning where we were picking a venue to the very end of napkins and table runners. She never missed a beat and on the day of her calm, reassuring, demeanor was reassuring. She even held back our 45lb bulldog until the moment our officiant called for the rings tied to a pillow on his back and he ran down the aisle to us :) I can’t fathom having planned and coordinated my wedding without her help!
