Airlie Wedding with Amanda
We had Amanda as a day of coordinator for our wedding and it was a fantastic decision. Totally worth it. She ran our rehearsal, alot of the vendor schedules and details leading up to the wedding and all of the little timeline and decisions on the day of. Made our day basically stress free (or as close as you can get it on your own wedding day). She especially was great because she was already very familiar with our wedding venue (Airlie) and really handled a lot of small details for us. -

A+ Wedding Consulting
My wedding would not have gone as well as it did without Amanda! I could not recommend her wedding consulting services more. During the planning process, she did everything from providing thoughtful vendor suggestions that landed me with my ideal florist to navigating a last minute need for insurance for our band. Her timeline documents and spreadsheet templates were extremely helpful and time-saving. On the big day, I was able to focus on savoring the day instead of worrying about vendor logistics and set-up. I felt truly taken care of and I can't stress how much hiring her saved me from any unnecessary wedding stress. If you're looking for a wedding planning services, do yourself a favor and book Amanda. -

Great service and wonderful to work with!
Amanda was wonderful to work with. We used her partial planning and day-of services and truly feel like our wedding wouldn't have run as smoothly without her. She was great at offering recommendations for vendors in our budget - all of our big vendors (except for the venue who recommended her to us) we found through her. She offered suggestions and ideas when asked and used her expertise to share best practices (like tipping and how far in advance things should be done). Day of, she was a calming presence, and both my now husband and I were able to focus on getting ready with our wedding parties and knew we had no concerns about how things were being set up or communicated with vendors. Would fully recommend her! -

Thanks Andrea and Amanda!
We were on the fence about getting a planner in the months before our wedding, but I honestly have no idea how we would have navigated it without Andrea and Amanda's help! After helping us set a timeline for the day, Andrea and Amanda helped us coordinate with all of the vendors and get everything prepared for the wedding. Both were super nice during our initial meetings, and were very helpful, especially in asking us questions about details we had never even thought of.
The day of, we didn't have to think about anything. We just showed up at the reception venue and everything was set up beautifully. As the day continued, everything ran perfectly smoothly. Even though there were so many moving parts, people to get to go places, things to set up and tear down, we didn't have to think about any of it, Andrea just made everything happen flawlessly in the background.
Thank you guys so much for all of your help! Everything went perfectly, mostly because of you guys' efforts!

Amanda was perfect!
Amanda was exactly what our wedding needed as our month-of coordinator. Our wedding planning stress levels instantly dropped during our first conversation with her. Her professionalism, talent, and love for the job were instantly clear. Throughout our last month of planning she helped coordinate with our vendors, went on our final walkthrough with our venue, addressed any questions and concerns we had (even the difficult and strange ones), and helped us compile our final timeline together.
She led the rehearsal the day before our ceremony and gave tips and opinions on the best way to do things. We were extremely comfortable going into the wedding day because of her. On the day itself, she helped run everything and took care of setting up & tearing down most of the decorations we brought.
We could not have asked for a more helpful wedding coordinator. We are so thankful! -

Made wedding day SO smooth
It was truly a pleasure working with Amanda from White Pumpkin for our wedding! We spoke with Amanda about 2-months before our wedding and went through the details. From there, Amanda attended our final walk-through at the venue and created a very detailed (and extremely helpful) timeline for our wedding day. Amanda was extremely calming and very helpful in making sure our wedding day ran smoothly. Amanda answered all of our questions (and we had quite a few) and was able to guide us in making timing and other planning decisions. Our wedding day was so smooth. There was not a single issue (that we knew about), and I am confident that was thanks to Amanda and White Pumpkin. -

Perfect Day of Coordinator
Amanda was amazing to work with for our wedding June 2024 at Airlie. She was incredibly knowledgeable and offered great insight whenever I had a question to run by her. She was always easy to get a hold of and especially as the wedding day approached made sure to communicate with me and sort out final details I hadn't even considered. Our wedding day was incredibly smooth and neither me nor my husband had to worry about a thing because Amanda was running the show perfectly.

White Pumpkin made Wedding Planning easy
Amanda is amazing to work with as she breaks the process of planning down into reasonable tasks on a timeline. She has a network of vendors that she has worked with on past weddings which was really helpful. Our wedding was at Airlie in Warrenton where she has had a lot of experience, so she could pull ideas and suggestions from other events to guide us. Before the wedding, she checked in with all the vendors multiple times to make sure a solid timeline was created and any specific requests we had would be met. When it became certain that it was going to be very hot for the wedding day, she helped with ideas to work with the weather, and up to and on the day, helped everyone remain flexible and go with the flow. Because of her, we could all enjoy the moment, tend to our guests, and celebrate the moment. -

Perfect Day-of-Coordinator!
Could not have made it through our wedding day without Amanda! She had the timeline down, vendors in check, came to us regularly with updates, and was an overall great communicator. She was always one step ahead of us in making sure everything was running smoothly. Whenever we had a question, she either knew the answer or it was already done. Amanda Made Our Perfect Wedding Day Possible
Amanda is an amazing wedding planner. We loved working with her for our ~18 months of planning and still are in awe of what a great job she did executing our wedding day. She listened to all of our requests, provided fantastic input, steered us in the right direction, and kept us organized as we prepared for the day. When our original plans for a semi-outdoor wedding started to unravel due to a surprise tropical storm, Amanda jumped into action, working with our other vendors to develop a rain plan and timeline. She was attentive throughout the wedding day, making sure we and our vendors were kept on track and made sure neither us or our family missed out on any of the fun (even running cocktails between buildings). Thanks to her efforts, in the pouring rain, we had the best time and have received nothing but compliments. When our wedding could have been a wash-out, Amanda truly saved the day. We love Amanda and could not recommend her more! -

Best Decision Ever!
I wasn’t originally planning on having a wedding coordinator since I do a lot of event planning with my job; however, I realized that being the bride required me to have other responsibilities and it would’ve been way too much to keep track of myself.
Hiring Amanda and her team made it so that both my mother and I didn’t have to lift a finger the day of the event and we could just walk in, enjoy our friends and family, and not have to worry about any little details.
Amanda really understood my vision and everything looked beautiful. She and her team came fully prepared with tips and useful tools I never would’ve thought of on my own. Her experience and foresight was greatly appreciated. My husband and I had a perfect day!-

Amanda was our month of coordinator for our wedding at Meadowlark botanical gardens in June. It would not have run as smoothly without her. Everything was perfect and Amanda and her helper were so amazing. Amanda (and her team) gets the job DONE!
We decided to hire Amanda for "month-of" wedding coordinator purposes since we were advised by many of our friends that we should, at a minimum, hire day-of (if not month-of) coordinator services. And wow, we're so glad we listened to that advice, because Amanda and her day-of assistant (which I affectionately refer to as the "mojito fairy") took basically all the stress out of that last month of hectic vendor coordination and day-of shenanigans.
From the start, we had a great chat about what we were looking for, and what she provides as part of her services. Once the wedding month dawned upon us, we started CC'ing her on all the important communications to keep her in the loop. Just having her on those threads, as well as attending our venue walk-through was incredibly handy. She had individual meetings with our vendors to make sure the timeline was crisp, nailed-down, and communicated to each of them. Any questions or missing tidbits of info that she identified were so quickly remediated.
On the wedding day, you could absolutely tell that Amanda and team had done this before. The décor was laid out sooooo perfectly, and taking that first stroll into the reception area was truly a sight to behold. They were great at rounding up the right people at different times, giving us some time to relax between the big events, and keeping us hydrated (with both water and alcohol as needed lol).
At the end of the night, they wrapped up LITERALLY EVERYTHING and helped load up our cars. When your feet hurt and you're tired, let me tell you that's the last thing you want to do, and they were just there for us, getting us across the finish line.
Obviously this marriage is the one, but heck I wouldn't have any hesitation at all to hire Amanda and her team again LOL. I'll certainly be recommending her services to our friends! 10/10 would get coordinated by White Pumpkin again. -

I can not say enough how amazing Amanda is. She is the reason our wedding turned out perfectly. From the first meeting we had all the up until the wedding Amanda was extremely helpful with all of our question and very responsive.

Excellent Experience
Amanda was excellent and a great help for us to have the best experience on our wedding day. She is very organized and detail oriented on the itinerary and making sure all of the necessary pieces were in place. Amanda is very adaptive on the go as we had a pop up rain storm come for the ceremony and was able to mobilize and organize everything for a backup covered location. 10/10 experience -

Amanda is 100% the best decision I ever made! I was very overwhelmed with my day of coordinating/planning until I found her! She made everything completely stress free.
She listened to what we were interested In and made our dream reception come to life. She was available whenever I had questions, helped me with vendors within my budget, created the most perfect timeline, she was never pushy nor did I ever feel pressured to do anything I didn’t want to; she truly cares about her clients, she was literally there from start to finish, super attentive.

Truly instrumental to our wedding
Amanda went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was flawless! We hired Amanda as our 2 month coordinator and could not be happier with the support we received. From the day we booked Amanda, she was helpful in recommending vendors for us and also answering some ad hoc etiquette questions we had. In the 2 month lead up to our wedding, we could not have pulled everything off without her. I think my husband and I are quite organized and yet there were plenty of things we would not have thought of without Amanda! She also ensured that our vendors were all aware of the timeline and plan, which took so much coordination off our shoulders. One of my vendors commented that the timeline Amanda put together for us was exceptional and she never has seen better! Spectacular
Amanda was an EXCEPTIONAL wedding coordinator --- above and beyond. We loved working with her and would give our highest recommendation. She was knowledgeable, efficient, and supportive-- all while being a consummate professional, a clear communicator and general pleasure to work with. In particular we were grateful for her project management of the wedding planning. Ahead of the wedding, I was swamped with a work plus graduate school, and my partner and I struggled to keep up. Nevertheless, Amanda was on top of the details. Even when we were hard to reach, she was patient, professional and persistent to help us ensure we got through each piece. Great experience
Amanda was great to work with. Our wedding went exactly according to plan and was so much fun! Amanda executed a flawless day!!
Amanda was wonderful to work with! We had a relatively quick engagement, but she helped us get on track with all the things we needed to do on a good timeline. She was also flexible to meet with us online, as we both have busy work schedules. She was absolutely invaluable on our wedding day - visiting me at the hotel morning-of, delivering a sewing kit to my mom, and steaming ALL the groomsmen's shirts last minute! She made the wedding day so easy. We didn't have to worry about anything, and everything was executed perfectly. At the end of the night, she even brought me my sneakers (I don't know how she knew where they were) and had packed up all our things, so we just had to run out of the venue into our car! Easiest decision next to "yes"
Hiring Amanda was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. My husband and I got married in late August, 2021 at Rust Manor in Leesburg. Our venue recommended Amanda to coordinate our wedding and having her experience with Rust was great. But she is just great at her job. She reached out to our vendors about a month before and made sure all our vendors were ready while also reminding of us of what we needed to do in the last month of planning. She was always receptive to our ideas and quick to answer questions.
On the day of, Amanda made sure everything ran smoothly and that my husband and I had the perfect day. It was really important to us that our guests stayed happy and Amanda ensured this for us. When we fell behind for the reception, she was quick to adjust the schedule and made the adjustment look and feel natural. She also worked really well with all the vendors and they all complimented her. Having someone to make sure your day goes smoothly and stress free for you is so important and she did that while also making sure our vendors stayed happy as well! -

Can’t imagine our wedding without Amanda!
We had a venue that handled much of the wedding and at first we weren’t sure we needed a planner. Luckily we decided to book Amanda and I praised her to everyone during the process! We had an initial zoom call to talk about the wedding dreams. She then kept a timeline with all of our information and stayed on top of the plans. She is organized, energetic, thorough, flexible, responds to emails very quickly and has lots of great ideas and suggestions if you need them. And we did! Amanda came to the rehearsal to manage the walk through. She and her assistant were at the wedding from noon til about midnight. They helped set up, helped manage photos and timing, and basically ran the wedding and let us enjoy the day. They packed up all of our items and put it in our car. Can’t recommend her enough! Hope she’s available for your wedding. Best wedding money we spent! -

Amazing wedding planner
We hired Amanda to be our "day of coordinator" but she ended up being SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT. Our original date was May 2, 2020. With COVID, we had to change the date to July. Then, had to quickly change the wedding date a few days from the July date to August. Amanda helped make this transition SO much easier. Not only did she help with the wedding planner stuff, but she helped me on a personal level too. Going into the wedding, I was very confident having her there to organize and make sure that they day went smoothly. Amanda was always quick to respond, very organized, easy to talk to, and helped me come up with questions that I completely forgot about. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone that is looking for a wedding planner. It's hard enough trying to plan a wedding through a pandemic, so I think that this speaks VOLUMES about her. -

Before the wedding she was in contact with vendors and kept us organized and on-schedule with planning. And it definitely helped to work with someone who has organized many weddings - any time we got stuck with a decision she was able to provide perspective and options. She was was always available to answer questions.
The day of the wedding we didn't have to worry about *anything* - from decorations to deliveries to cleanup at the end of the night everything worked seamlessly. She definitely went beyond our expectations. We could not have pulled the day off without her guidance and support at every step. -

Highly Recommend Hiring Amanda
We hired Amanda as our month-of planner and it was one of the best decisions we made regarding the wedding. The weeks leading up to the wedding were much more organized and straightforward with Amanda's assistance. The wedding day itself was completely stress-free. I had several guests comment on how relaxed and calm I was. Amanda was a huge part of that. I didn't worry about timelines, decorations, anything the day of the wedding. Best decision we made!
We couldn't thank Amanda and her team enough for making our day so special! From the very first call I had with Amanda, I was impressed by her professionalism and patience as I asked her a ton of questions. One of the (many) reasons we decided to work with her as our day of coordinator is that she seemed calm, cool, and collected under pressure. And we couldn't have been more pleased with our decision to work with her! She took care of all the details for us the month leading up to our wedding and went above and beyond on our wedding day. Best wedding planning decision we made!
I can safely say that hiring White Pumpkin was the best decision we made in our wedding planning. We were in over our heads on the whole wedding planning thing, and Amanda is a true professional who made sure we didn't skip any important details (and there were a lot we were missing). She was also critical in helping us coordinate with all the other vendors as we came down to the wire. I rarely give perfect 5 stars across the board for any review but Amanda certainly deserves it. She was the day-of coordinator for my 100 person wedding. Having worked as an EA to seniors, I'm used to being super OCD & on top of things and have a very hard time letting go and thankfully Amanda let me feel comfortable enough to let loose a bit on my wedding! A friend of mine who worked in the industry before recommended her to me and after 1 phone conversation, I knew she would be great. She did not disappoint. Here were the highlights:
-- Transparent fees: very affordable for NoVa and clearly defined pricing structure for additional services, which a hard-working girl in her 20s can most definitely appreciate.
-- Super organized & on top of things while remaining flexible: I know this should be every wedding planner but I've heard so many horror stories so i wanted to highlight this one. Amanda was great about contacting all of my vendors and providing an itinerary prior to the event. She knew I wanted something calmer and low-key, so instead of having vendors and herself check into the hotel while the girls and I were getting ready, they all arrived to the venue earlier to set up and she would check in via text periodically...exactly how I wanted it. When we actually asked Amanda on the night of the wedding towards the end to move things up by half an hour so we could leave a bit earlier (as we had a lot of older guests who had already left), she rallied all of the vendors to accommodate this last minute change. AMAZING.
-- Personality: I really respect Amanda as a person. She is not the overbearing, loud hyper-friendly wedding planner who wants to be in your space at all times if that's what you are looking for. She is a quiet, calm, and unassuming force who will ensure that everything runs smoothly from the background. We actually trusted her enough to have her distribute cash tips to all the vendors (over 1k in separate envelopes) at the end! she is #goals. -

I more than highly recommend Amanda (White Pumpkin) as a wedding coordinator. She literally helped me pull off the most perfect wedding ever at Airlie in Warrenton, VA. I started working with Amanda about 7 months out from my wedding and it was an absolute pleasure. She went above and beyond with everything and not only helped me out with the logistics but also the creative and design side of things as well. Deciding to work with Amanda was probably the best decision I made hands down during the wedding process. She is extremely communicative and more than reliable. She always had the best suggestions to vendors as well which added to me and my husband being more than happy with our day. I felt Amanda was truly invested in my wedding from beginning to end and really made me a priority. She was attentive and attuned to everything. She also took the time to go to meetings with my vendors and even my tasting when my husband could not make it because he was recovering from a motorcycle accident. Amanda pays attention to every detail and is super on top of EVERYTHINg. I loved working with someone who was so competent and so professional. I am literally sad that my wedding is over because I am not working with her anymore but I am sure I will come up with something to plan in the future to get her services again. If you are getting married in the DMV area - Amanda is the best and most amazing wedding coordinator out there. -

We are SO happy that we had Amanda as our day of coordinator. She was on top of everything and we keep saying that we're not sure if anything went wrong on our wedding day, because everything seemed to go perfectly. Our florist did forget to bring one of the boutonnieres, but Amanda thought so quickly on her feet, grabbed some extra flowers from different arrangement, some ribbon, and a pin and made a beautiful one for my father. I was amazed! She also contributed a few of her own items to help decorate our pie table, too. If I did have any concerns, Amanda was already on top of it and had an answer for me. She was quick to respond to e-mails/texts, and even sent me a check in text the morning of the wedding. She had a great sense of humor and gave some great advice, too! -

Amanda was great! We didn't start looking for a day of coordinator until about a month and a half out so I was worried we wouldn't find someone that was available. Amanda was not only available but she hit the ground running which is what we needed. She was referred by our venue (Airlie) and I understand why! She was so helpful, always available for questions via phone call or email. And when it came to the day of the wedding she was very calm and collected which made me less frazzled. We had a minor sitting hiccup which she took care of and didn't make it a big deal. I would highly HIGHLY recommend her to anyone getting married in the Northern Virginia area. We used her for the day of coordinator, so I can only assume she'd be more than qualified and FANTASTIC at wedding planning. AMANDA!!!!! Amanda is by the far most helpful person I have ever come across! I hired for my wedding in 2015 to help plan the whole event. She was very good about listening to my ideas and then, taking them one step further into perfection. Her day of team was extremely helpful and knew how to put out any last minute fires. For my daughter’s wedding we wanted and needed a wedding day coordinator. Let me start by saying we were very lucky and blessed to get Amanda Smith, owner of White Pumpkin. Amanda came recommended to us as someone who gets along with everyone (especially all the vendors) and who has a wonderful calming personality, something I knew I would certainly need. After meeting Amanda, my daughter and I were thrilled. Amanda was organized, confident, patient, sweet and never pushy or overbearing. Even though we met twice before the wedding rehearsal, she took the time to answer our many emails and phone calls and made excellent suggestions and recommendations.
I could not have done it without Amanda. She took charge of the rehearsal and I was able to hand over all of our wedding items, from the numerous decorations down to the wedding favors and sparklers. She was at our wedding venue (The Airlie Center) the next morning and didn't leave until all the presents and remaining wedding items were put back into our car late that night.
Because of Amanda, I was able to spend the entire day with my beautiful daughter and not worry about all the details of the wedding day. In fact, since the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour were outside and there was a chance of rain, I received only 1 quick phone call from Amanda asking if we could move our music ensemble under an archway for cover and our memory table into the pavilion. For someone who was consumed for months with all the details of helping plan her daughter’s wedding and wanting everything to be perfect, I can’t believe I didn't even see the ceremony or reception areas until I was escorted down the aisle and my husband and I were introduced at the reception. That’s how much faith and confidence I had in Amanda! Everything was absolutely beautiful and perfect!!
I kept telling Amanda that she was my angel. To me, she really did go above and beyond my expectat -

Highly Knowledgable & Organized Wedding Planner
White Pumpkin was easy to work with from the early stages of wedding planning. Amanda was flexible to meet with on weekends and evenings, and helped us stay on track with a personalized timeline leading up to the big day. We had our wedding at Airlie, and it was great that she knew the venue and the staff there so well! We were also very pleased with the team's wedding day coordination - it was nice not to not have to worry about any of the last minute details! White Pumpkin also has a lot of connections for every kind of vendor, so that was super helpful in finding good vendors near our venue. We cannot thank Amanda and the team at White Pumpkin enough for helping make our big day so smooth and special! -

Amanda was the perfect wedding coordinator! We met with her throughout the planning process where she offered her insights on our venue, recommendations for logistics, and recommended vendors. She went above and beyond the weekend of our wedding by coordinating our rehearsal, setting up our rehearsal dinner, and making sure everything ran smoothly on the big day! She and her team truly allowed me and my family to sit back and enjoy the day! -

We used Amanda as our day-of coordinator. We met and emailed numerous times prior to the wedding. She was very knowledgeable about our venue and helped us with many of the little logistics of the ceremony and reception. She is extremely professional -- I was so impressed with how calm she remained even when rain threatened our outdoor ceremony plans. I highly recommend using Amanda -- she makes the whole process fun and stress-free! -

I contracted with Amanda Smith as (1) partial advance wedding planner (2) day of wedding coordinator for my wedding at a winery near Warrenton, Virginia in May 2016 with approximately 200 guests.
- Transportation Fiasco - Our guests were staying at hotels in Warrenton (15 miles away from the venue), so transportation was essential. On Amanda’s recommendation, we selected her transportation vendor. The vendor decided to do a “dry run” just hours before the wedding and somehow became stuck in the mud and stranded guests at the hotels for hours. While some of this may be attributable to bad luck, this could have been avoided or mitigated. (1) Any “dry run” should have been done BEFORE the wedding day; (2) vendor should have dispatched replacement shuttles immediately; (3) A tow truck should have been dispatched immediately. Since none of these were done, the ceremony and reception were delayed an hour. Furthermore, I expect a wedding coordinator to have some backup plan or backup vendor for emergency situations, Amanda did not.
- Wedding Day Communication - On the day of the wedding, Amanda was flustered, anxious, and unable to handle the pressure of the day. There was a lack of adequate communication on her end including communication to me, my parents, and my fiancee on how the shuttle situation was being handled and communication to guests at the winery and guests at hotels.
- Post-Wedding Responsibility - After the wedding we called Amanda and discussed that she was partially responsible for this shortcoming since we booked the vendor at her suggestion. While she appeared cooperative and responsive during the call, she emailed us a few days later informing us that she would not reduce her bill and that we owed the full amount on her invoice.
Amanda made a bad recommendation about a vendor, had poor communication, and failed to take responsibility after the wedding. For these reasons, I cannot recommend her as a wedding planner in any capacity. -
