  We reside in Vancouver and planned on running our Kelowna wedding ourselves until a close friend of ours recommended we give Shawna at White Orchid a call. We are so glad we took her advice! We ended up hiring Shawna for the partial planning+day of event package. Shawna provided us with excellent advice at every step of the way, helping us make decisions on every aspect of the wedding and the surrounding events both big and small. We particularly appreciated Shawna's attention to detail and the excellent coordination on the day of our event - our wedding ceremony and reception went off without a hitch which allowed us to enjoy our day and be present knowing that every detail was taken care of. Shawna went above and beyond for us to make sure every part of our day exceeded our expectations - we're so grateful to her for making our wedding day truly unforgettable and stress-free! Shawna is a complete pleasure to work with... you'll be in great hands with the WOW team!

  When I was first engaged I had reservations about hiring a wedding planner and working this expense into our budget. It turns out that hiring Shawna from White Orchid Wedding was money well spent! Her services were worth every penny to save me from a day of headache and stress. I had the most stress-free and relaxing getting ready session on the morning of my wedding. I don't think I would have been as calm and able to enjoy my day, if it hadn't been for Shawna and her crew. Despite the fact that it rained on my wedding day and we had to move our ceremony indoors, Shawna managed to swiftly pull off a beautiful "plan B" ceremony without a hitch! I had the most amazing wedding day and there is nothing I would have changed about it even though we had to execute our contingency plan. My husband and I are so grateful for having Shawna as our day of coordinator and we highly recommend her to anyone getting married in the Okanagan. Thank you so much, WOW!

  Our dream day, or what we call Ascension to Love was absolutely perfect. We had the opportunity to enjoy our day in its entirety, which honestly felt like we were in a fairy tale film. Shawna and her team coordinated a team of over 20 with an agenda that was planned down to the minute. We were met in our separate vehicles for a ‘mental health’ check in and to have our flowers pinned on by the expert planning team. Our guests were ushered to three event spaces on the property and kept comfortable every step of the way.
  
  We cannot speak enough positivity about the experience we had with White Orchid Wedding Consulting and their dedication to our vision. Above all the details and planning we feel as though we developed a friendship through the process. When you allow yourself to be supported by a team of professionals like W.O.W you open yourself up to creating the wedding event you only dreamed of.

  My husband and I live in Calgary but we're married in the okanagan. We were looking for a planner who is flexible and familiar with with local vendors. We found just that in Shawna! She is an excellent communicator who kept us up to date on all things wedding! She turned our vision into a reality and orchestrated a perfect day that was more beautiful than even we could have imagined. She is friendly, positive, honest, reassuring, organized, efficient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Shawna and White Orchid Weddings to anyone who is even just a little interested in hiring a planner. She went above and beyond in all aspects of our day was well worth it!!

  Shawna made my wedding. I am an a-typical bride who really didn't want to spend time planning the wedding, so I left a lot of things to the last minute then panicked. Shawna pulled all the pieces together and made a day that I truly will never forget - it was the best day of my life, and I'm not just saying that. She was incredible from day one, and made sure that our wedding was a complete hit. I didn't have to do much planning at all, she took care of most of it. She was very easy to work with and has excellent communication skills. Couldn't have done it without her.

  We were so happy that we decided to work with Shawna for our Wedding. We both grew up in the Okanagan but live in Vancouver so were not familiar or prepared with how quickly the vendors book up in the area. Shawna gave us excellent advice on what we needed to book right away, good vendors to work with, and great suggestions on how to make the wedding more "us." She asked us great questions that we had not even thought of! Shawna was our "Day-of-Coordinator" but she was hands on with us at least a month out. Our day was absolutely amazing and Shawna was a huge part of that. Thank you!!!

I can't believe how relaxed the day was, and we have Shawna to thank for this. She is the epitome of a true professional - prepared for everything, organized, personable, creative and a real leader. Throughout the process, she went above and beyond to help with the planning, even though originally we contacted her to be our "day of" planner. We helped us line up meeting with our various vendors and attended those meeting with us, providing valuable advise throughout the process. Shawna takes true pride in her work and it's evident in everything she does. Her advice reflected her wealth of experience and our wedding would not have been anywhere near the quality of event if it had not been for her. She earned our full trust very quickly - and we have ZERO regrets.   Shawna was a great planner! We came in not really knowing what we wanted to do, except to have a slight Marvel comics theme. She found us amazing vendors that were keen on our theme and she knew would work well. She put together a gorgeous reception room; it was better than we could have imagined.
  Shawna was very easy to work with and has a great eye for decorations.

  We hired Shawna to be our Day Of Coordinator and it was the best decision ever. She is super easy to talk to and made us feel totally at ease that absolutely everything would be taken care of that day. Being able to relax and enjoy the day without worrying about a thing was worth it! We couldn't have asked for a better person to help us with our special day!

  As a professional in the wedding industry, I've worked with Shawna countless times over the years.
  I know a lot of wedding planners as I own a wedding DJ company (I won't name it here).

  Shawna was amazing! Although we were fairly organized having her to remind you of all the little things was great and her wedding day timeline was perfectly detailed. However when it came to our actual day Shawna and her assistant were a saving grace! We had a few little hiccups but you never would have known because she came to the rescue every time. She also had all our decor setup exactly how we had imagined with very little instruction, all in all, I have no idea what the day would have been like without her there.

It was so nice to enjoy our wedding day and be in the moment, not having to worry about what time the cake is arriving, decorating the reception room or keeping the speeches on track throughout the night. She is an expert that can handle any wedding related set-back in her sleep- and without you ever knowing there was an issue to begin with! This is priceless. E-mails and calls were answered promptly and the vendors Shawna works with are fantastic as well. I really came to value her opinion and advice. A memorable day all around!

  Shawna was INCREDIBLE ! She was very organized, she kept everything on schedule throughout the entire process, which made it a lot less stressfull when it became "crunch time". She seemed to have quite a good relationship with a large selection of vendors, caterers, Djs, photographers ect. they were all wonderful ! It shows in her work how dedicated and passionate she is about wedding planning, it's what she was meant to do :) Shawna, will do whatever she can to make your requests/visions happen. She was very professinal, friendly, enthusiastic and all in all just a great person to work with. I would recomend Shawna Gray to anybody planning a wedding, I truely believe my wedding would not have been as amazing as it was had Shawna not been a part of it !
