My wedding reception could not have been more perfect. The staff was very on top of making sure everything spilled was picked up very quickly. They served our plated dinners in a timely fashion. The food was amazing as always - we had lemon herb chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. 10/10 food! They had our starters ready to go for cocktail hour and our late night snacks served at the perfect time right when everyone was a little tipsy from the open bar. Our bartender was awesome and did everything and more. The draping on the ceilings was beautiful & the bridal suite was pretty good for about 7-9 people. A little tight but it was nice anyways! Everyone was very friendly & they coordinated everything with me asap. Never any miscommunication, very on top of everything I wanted.

We had a Saturday 6pm Wedding with a plated dinner for 100, all in one, no dance. This location was easily accessible for the Twin Cities area/airport, and parking is plentiful in a nice quiet suburban neighborhood. They provided all the amenities we needed, since they have a on-site hotel, banquet room and restaurant that made the most amazing food for us. We had Prime Rib or Herb Chicken choices; they also provided a vegan option for those few guests as an add-on. Our hotel room blocks were right by the banquets room, which made it easy for dressing and resting. The staff is professional at what they do and served us plated dinner after our short 15-minute wedding among our seated guests. We brought in Costco cake, and they plated and served it for us, but they do also have their own desert options and referrals for decor. They provided fine linen and simple elegant dishes and candles for tables but allowed us to personalize by adding our own centerpieces. We added a staffed open bar dedicated to just for our banquet. We did not have a dance or DJ, but I opted to hook up my laptop to their existing audio and played soft dinner jazz music. The hotel was clean and always courteous. We didn't have time to enjoy the indoor saltwater pool, but many of our guests did, as well as enjoyed walks around the nearby White Bear Lake. We also had a lovely continental breakfast that the hotel provides to all guests the next morning. The best part of our wedding was the food, I can't tell you how many of our guests raved in the following weeks about how good the food is. The cost of everything was incredibly reasonable, so much was included in our costs of the venue and food/service, but we had many options for add-ons to make our event exactly what we envisioned, but never felt like all the options were nickel and diming us. We also had a Friday evening dinner for about a dozen of our guests from out of town, the night before the wedding. Best food, desserts, and drinks, in such a lovely upscale atmosphere in Rudy's Red Eye Grill. We returned almost a year later for Valentine’s dinner and the food again was the best!

Planning this from a great distance was challenging but you made it stress free and so much fun! Everything went off flawlessly and help was always available

We loved this venue! The compliments I was receiving from my guests were that they loved the social hour and the rooftop. The staff was incredibly friendly and so helpful all the time. Molly did an amazing job of making sure everything went smoothly. We also loved the use of doing both the ceremony and reception in one place and this place was perfect for it.

From the beginning of working with Molly, it was fantastic! She was more than willing to meet with us multiple times to ensure all our questions were answered and all things we wanted or expected would and did happen. We felt comfortable from the moment we made the decision of booking the venue. Everything went better than I ever expected and the service and food was amazing. The best part was Molly & team set up everything as I had asked from décor to centerpieces, to cake table, gift table etc. using the stuff I provided and did ALL the cleanup. That alone was worth the price of not having to deal with the stress of decorating before and cleaning up after. I would recommend WBCI and Molly and team to anyone. If I had to do it all over again, I would not even think twice about booking here. Thank you so much for everything and making sure our special day was indeed special and stress free!

The staff at the White Bear in were all very accommodating and helpful in my planning process. They were flexible and had great recommendations to help me. The hotel reservations were very clear and gave us a great group rate. Rudy's Red Eye Grill allowed us to come in and sample the different salads and options. During this time they answered questions and again gave advice on things that have worked and not worked at previous weddings. As the bride I appreciated this very much because I had never planned a wedding before!!

The most helpful person was our wedding coordinator, Sharina. She was very responsive to all the requests we had to personalize our wedding from letting us bring our own popcorn machine in to setting everything up for us the morning of the wedding exactly how we requested. She has a ton of experience and again I used this to help with logistics.

The event went off without any problems! The wait staff was very friendly and even went to my parents during the reception and told them that our group was very pleasant to have and they enjoyed having us there. I cannot even express how good that made my parents feel, THANK YOU! Throughout the night everything was served and cleaned very promptly; we were very impressed! The best part was that when the wedding dance ended at midnight my guests were able to either walk to with hotel room or go to Rudy's bar and roof top bar to continue celebrating. I would recommend this venue to any one looking for a place that will work with you to achieve your dream wedding reception.

The staff at White Bear Country Inn was AMAZING!!! They know how to put on an event and deal with the unexpected issues that arised. I was very impressed!!

White Bear Country Inn was wonderful! Sharina prodvided with so much great help and assurance that everything would be taken care of, and it was! They were very flexible with our wants, needs and concerns. If I could redo my wedding, I would DEFINITELY be going back!

Food was excellent! Served hot, with many positive comments from guests especiall for the Walleye. Very easy to work with, provided ideas and feedback when asked. We had approx 130 guests, no surprizes, excellent service. This venue worked well for us!!!

The White Bear Country Inn was the perfect fit and venue for our wedding reception. The ballroom is large enough to accommodate a big wedding. We saw it as a bonus that there is just the one large ballroom, lending to just one reception a night. This guarantees your event will have the staff's full attention for the entire evening, and no danger of competing against or "spillover" from other events going on at the same time as your event. The hotel rooms and amenities are great - clean and quality furnishings. We thought all the services were competitively priced based on our search and shopping for vendors. We received many compliments on the food. The catering director and hotel manager are very easy to work with - organized and on top of everything, and very willing to work with the bride and groom requests. I would recommend the White Bear Country Inn to anyone looking to book a reception/party/celebration.

Sharina was amazing, everything went smoothly and beautifully. The food was FANTASTIC, the staff was great, and I couldn't have asked for a better reception!

We enjoyed working with the staff at Rudy's Redeye Grill and White Bear Country Inn. We would highly recommend their services to others. They were very easy to work with, timely, and they genuinely care. I am so thankful I had such responsible staff to work with on one of the most important days of my life.

Great Venue - decorated wonderful.

This place is wonderful to work with, beautiful, and they will treat you like a princess. They are not super expensive but not cheap either. You definitely get what you pay for and more!

The Catering Director, Sharina, handled everything for our wedding reception extremely well, and overall the White Bear Country Inn was a very fun place to host an event.

Sharina's calm and laid back attitude helped to make the stress of planning easier. The food was fantastic and the staff was great.

The day went very well. We all stayed at the hotel the night before the wedding as well and it was very convenient. When I asked any questions they were answered right away and usually it was already taken care of. Everything went exactly the way I wanted it to go!

White Bear Country Inn is a wonderful place to have a wedding. They worked to create a wedding that suited our needs/wants.We had attended other weddings at this venue, but they make each one special and unique. Mine was my dream and I was so thankful for all of the hardwork and thoughtfulness provided by the staff. Even when we had to clear out the head table in record time to get our first dance in before the photographer left us, they jumped right to it and helped us to get those special pictures done on time! They rocked!

Sharina was somewhat difficult to reach prior to my wedding, which worried me a little bit, but I have to say that when my wedding day arrived, she made any reservations I had completely disappear, and she totally blew me away. We had our ceremony elsewhere, but when we arrived at White Bear Country Inn, everything was perfect. The site was stunning, the setup was awesome, and we received compliments from our guests on absolutely everything, including the food. If you feel the need to micromanage your coordinators, you might be anxious about the level of communication; however, I feel completely confident in saying that Sharina really has her sh*t together and will put together a gorgeous reception with minimal direction. Just sit back and let her do her thing! She truly is a professional, and I would highly recommend both her and White Bear Country Inn to anyone.

The only thing I had a slight issue with was that a 20% gratuity was automatically added in to the total from the start. I would have tipped at 20% anyway after my experience, but adding it in from the get-go seems a bit presumptuous since the gratuity should be based on your level of satisfaction with the service received. That's the way it is with nearly every wedding vendor though, so I think you'd be hard pressed to find a venue that didn't do that. Overall, I have no complaints - my wedding reception was amazing!

Having our wedding at White Bear Country Inn was the best decision we made for our wedding. It was incredibly beautiful, and it was the best wedding food I have ever had. We got endless compliments, and heard from many that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Sharina did an awesome job of utilizing my decorations, it was 10 times more beautiful than I imagined! If we were to do it all over again we would pick white bear country inn!

Teriffic place to have any type of event! I would do it again through White Bear Country Inn, no question at all!

I thought the process of taste testing was a little unreliable because you had to wait for someone to actual choose that menu item as their meal and then you can go in and taste it, but if someone is not choosing the item you will not be able to taste it.

Also, simple questions from the bride/groom should not go weeks unanswered and take multiple more calls/emails to pry out an answer.

Everyone did A great Job with our reception. The staff was so nice and curtious to us and all of our guests. The food was unbelievable. There were so many good compliments on the food. Also the way everything was all set up was just perfect and so convient. Such good memories from our wedding. Thank you all so very very much!!!!!!

I thought Sharina did a very good job at answering all of our questions. We waited around all night the night before to put the chair covers on the chairs but the people that booked there on Friday never left till way later then we were told so me and my husband did not get much sleep and had to go there at 4am to do so. Also the room that we got for the night was horrible. The bed was full of urine and was still soaked so we did not feel comfortable staying there and went home at 2am.

We choose the WB Country Inn/Rudy’s because we were very familiar with the facility and food. The Banquet staff did a fantastic job. The food was wonderful, and Jasmine was great to work with and was very attentive throughout our reception. The original Catering Director (CD) I worked with was great. 4 days prior to my wedding I was contacted by “the New Catering Director” and was told the Catering Director I originally worked with no longer worked there, and they did not have anything on file for my event. The new CD had no experience with banquets, and was not going to be at my event for personal reasons. After the event, I provided constructive feedback to the new CD, specifically regarding needing to gain confidence and rapport building that she should not have told me the banquet staff did not have any records of my event plans. The new catering director denied making any statements about not having any records, and told me she “just wanted to hear what I had to say.” We had multiple issues with the front desk. Including the front desk staff was disrespectful towards me when I tried to cancel rooms that were guaranteed by my personal credit card. My FH was given a regular room the night before our wedding, instead of the suite that we reserved (which was corrected for our wedding night). We also had issues with incorrect room charges, which took 1 week to resolve. We had issues with the front desk staff communicating with banquet staff regarding additional personal items for the reception (Waterford & Lennox items). The day after the wedding, the staff did not open the banquet room, a part of our contract, for our gift opening; and our out of state guests had to leave. The front desk told our guests they were not allowed a late check out, and then were given an extra ½ hour. My low rating is based on the unprofessional manner in which the hotel staff dealt with the change in CD and multiple issues with the Front Desk staff.

We had our wedding and reception elsewhere and blocked off 40 rooms for our guests to stay in at the end of the night. We also booked both shuttles for that night to transport guests to and from. We were assured over and over again that we had both shuttles for that night, they even called us the day before to reiterate that fact, but when the wedding day came, only one shuttle was used.... We had a wedding of 350+ people and really needed both to adequately move that many guests. I was really disappointed. Guests ended up arriving late to the ceremony and had to wait outside the venue for over 30 mins for the one shuttle to arrive. Aside from the shuttle issue, I reserved a room for a groomsmen who was overseas, I made the reservation, and it counted as one of my 40 blocked rooms....but when it came to the wedding day, and the groomsmen called to see if they could check in early, the hotel stated that the room was booked for the pervious night!!! However, I know for a fact it was booked for the wedding night, as it counted as one of my blocked rooms. Because of someone's error at the hotel, half of my wedding party had no where to stay that night!!! Also when I called to try to figure out the situation, I was greeted with an attitude, and was told over and over again, 'there is nothing we can do'. Not a place I would book again.
