Other than my choice of husband, working with Weddings by Carue was the most seamless stress free experience of my wedding planning. I used them for DJ, Photobooth, and Photography and everyone was so easy to work with that I would recommend this to all my friends and family! -

When looking for a Photographer, Videographer & DJ- We didn't realize how crazy expensive all of it would be. Then we found Weddings By Carue and initially thought it was too good to be true. But we can 100% say in confidence that it was the best decision we made! From start to finish it was a great experience and we can NOT wait to see our photos come through from our wedding day! We don't normally leave reviews, but we wanted to make sure people knew the quality and experience we had with the photographer (Engagement photos & Wedding Photos), Videographer, DJ, the owner and the interactions we had as well as the website and all the tools they provide!! -

From the first moment that we exchanged emails, then calls, I knew we would be hiring Carissa and her team to be part of our wedding. We hired them for photography, videography and to be our DJ for ceremony and reception. We absolutely love our photos and are videos! Make sure to take a few sunset photos as these are our favorite. And our DJ was amazing as well! The guests had such a great time.
Living a few hours away, Carissa helped me along the way giving me advice and resources. She always made time in her schedule to talk and help me when I got stuck. We did not do a first look and she helped me figure out the timeline to ensure we captured everything important to us. Her service is a 10/10!!! -

I found Weddings by Carue about 2 months out of the wedding and Carissa worked with me over our short timeframe. After I told her our budget and what we were looking for overall, she explained the packages and what to expect. Email and text she always responded within 24 hours.
I had zero stress when it came to the photography portion of the wedding. They send you questionnaires so you can give them a timeline/specifics for the wedding day. Just made everything so much easier.
Our photographer Sonny was so sweet and our guests loved him. He would occasionally show us a picture he just took on his camera so we can see how it turned out. Our videographer/drone control, Ben was wonderful too. They were both very patient with us and al of the chaos.
The pictures turned out great! They have a simple elegance to them and there are some great candid shots. Which I love.
I am so happy that I found them because the search was getting difficult. I highly recommend them and I wish they were in other states for my friends getting married!

We used Weddings by Carue for their photo booth at our wedding in Estes Park. They showed up and had everything set up at the reception. Our guests loved it. I loved using their photo guest book in place of a traditional guest book because we aren't traditional people. They had tons of great props and the black backdrop was gorgeous. I had created my own photo strip template and they were able to use it perfectly. My only regret was not adding an extra hour or two because I only had time to make it into a few photos and the groom didn't make it into any! Adding an extra hour or two is well worth the money, especially with their economical pricing. -

Kieryn Sent on 12/11/2017Carissa and Ashley were so wonderful to work with! Ashley was very patient with me while designing our photo booth strips and trying to finalize a day of schedule for them! Carissa was amazing during our reception! We had so much fun with her! Our guests LOVED the photo booth and I don't think it was empty at all during the time that it was open!
Our scrapbook is so great to look back on and we cannot thank Carissa and her team enough for helping make our special day so amazing! -

We had our engagement photos done and loved working with our photographer Evan. He chose an excellent location that captured all of the fall colors we were looking for. He was very caring and did an amazing job giving us his best. He was very easy to work with and we had a really fun time. The photos turned out amazing and all of our friends love them. The pricing is very reasonable. Weddings By Carue was very easy to work with and made getting engagement photos done very easy. -

Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. Most wedding photographers are much more expensive in Colorado and I understand why. My wedding was photographed by Weddings by Carue, and although the quality of my pictures are good, there are just so many pictures and moments missing. My shot list that I sent in and my Pinterest board I shared weren’t followed at all. Don’t know why I bothered spending hours doing that to have it ignored. There are so many pictures I wanted that I didn’t get, heck I don’t even have any pictures with my mom, which is beyond ridiculous. No pictures of the bride and MOB?! There are no pictures of me individually as a bride. There aren’t any pictures of my husband with his parents. There are just so many photos and moments that were missed and I am heartbroken because it can’t be fixed. If I could go back in time, I would definitely book a different photographer. So please brides, think twice before booking them because your photos are what you hold onto after the wedding and now I don’t have a lot of the moments I wanted captured to look back on and cherish.
On a positive note: I was highly impressed with our DJ and photobooth services that were booked through Weddings by Carue. Our guests loved the photobooth and the DJ played great songs and ran the reception very well. I wish the DJ would’ve had a mic on my husband during our ceremony though, because no one could hear our vows which was really sad. -

I could never get them on the phone. Pictures were beautiful but way late. Photographers were nice but not creative with poses. Instead of taking pictures of the guests during the reception the Photographer just sat in the back even though I paid for more time. However they did stick with me for two years and through a pandemic and didn't charge traveling fees. -

We initially choose Weddings By Carue based on the 5 star reviews here and our promise-filled (by Carissa, owner) discussions. In the 2 years of our contract, the videographers [work] that I fell in love with left during the pandemic, yet I was assured that I would be getting my vision and everything we had discussed. Fast forward to months before our wedding and she couldn't tell me who she was going to send as our videographer. She said she was still trying to find someone! Obviously scrambling, she ended up sending us a lady named Karlee Ihde who, if you visit her website/socials, specializes in family and senior portraits and engagement shoots, NOT wedding videography. I also paid for a drone, which the resort required them to get a permit for and she said she'd take care of. The week before our wedding, I asked her about it, but she never requested one, and lied to me and said the resort didn't have enough to give out for those dates. I confirmed with the resort that she was lying - no one ever called to request one for us. She also won't refund me for it. What kind of person doesn't refund for something they never provided?
I discussed with both Carissa and Karlee that after our dinner reception be filmed where we went to the resort's speakeasy to dance and celebrate. Karlee left before my husband and I arrived. We had told everyone, including Karlee, we would be going back to our room to change clothes and then be right over, which we did and were. So, we have no footage of us dancing and celebrating, which is a big deal!
As far as the video, promised delivery was 8-12 weeks. I took 16 weeks and 5 days and it looks like an amateur made it! There are orbs and reflections of fire and lights floating throughout the night sky shots. Things are blurry when they shouldn't be, the camera lens fogged up in most of the beach shots, panning was very fast and jerky, and worst of all was any light, whether indoors or out, was flickering or rapidly flashing AND our entire dinner reception has a loud buzzing sound! The buzzing sound and light issue was not at the event, either, it was her equipment! It was also promised to be as close to 10 mins long, but it was only 8 and ended abruptly. It was NOTHING like we had discussed or what was promised.
Through all of our communications I kept getting the runaround. It was always some excuse or another, and I had to initiate everything, otherwise I was in the dark. Carissa's responses were always 4 days to 2 weeks later and a few times, not at all! There's just no excuse for this kind of unprofessionalism. I tried to discuss this and more with Carissa through a Zoom meeting, which took me months (yes, months) to acquire (b/c she was "unexpectedly out of the office" while we were waiting for our video to be delivered), but she then canceled the day of without reason or apology or the decency to reschedule. I expressed to her when scheduling the Zoom meeting that this was a matter beyond email or a phone call and needed to be done face-to-face since we can't meet in person (we live in different cities). I also expressed this to her once again after she so blatantly and rudely canceled, but she would only allow me to address any questions/concerns through email. Her actions are cowardly; she hides behind her emails.
Not only did she ruin part of our wedding experience and one of the most important days of our lives, but we lost a huge amount of money in the process. Every time we see the video or talk about it we get sad and I get angry and stressed. I'd steer clear unless you want a similar experience.
