Whether it’s a wedding outdoors and indoors, whether you want white flowers or pink flowers, Jackie makes it happen. She kept us updated and was so quick on getting things done. When we asked her to get something she had it done within days. I felt so confident and was less nervous about wedding planning with her. I truly had the most perfect day because of her and her staff. They are professional and straightforward. Trust her in the process. She doesn’t sugar coat to please, she gives her honest advice using her expertise and experience as a wedding planner. When I wanted to do something or wanted something for the wedding, she made sure she gave her two cents so that I could make a better decision for the wedding and it turned out to be flawless. I couldn’t recommend her services more to someone looking for a planner. Truly went above and beyond. 100/10! -

We had our daughter Ashley and our son-in-law Eric’s wedding at the Ritz-Carlton on October 26, 2025, and I truly do not know how we could have handled every detail without Jackie Yu from Wedding Story.
From the very beginning, Jackie Yu guided us through every step with so much professionalism, patience, and care. She handled everything—from flowers, hair and makeup coordination, photography timelines, and guest management—down to the smallest details. There was nothing she overlooked.
Even after the ceremony, she thoughtfully wrapped the florals and handed them to our guests as they were leaving. Every guest felt cared for, and many told us it was the most beautiful, magical “fairytale wedding” they had ever attended. Some even said it was the best wedding in history—elegant, tasteful, and perfectly executed.
Jackie Yu also assisted us during hotel negotiation and vendor communication, making the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. Her experience truly made all the difference.
We are so grateful that Jackie was part of our special day. We highly, highly recommend Wedding Story to anyone who wants a beautiful wedding that is not only stunning but also flawlessly organized.

Jackie and her team at Wedding Story turned our wedding vision into reality — and made the entire journey such a joyful experience. Her team was absolutely amazing from start to finish! From day one, she guided us through every step — helping us find the perfect venue, caterer, and our fantastic DJ Eddo, who kept the energy going all night!
Planning a wedding long-distance from two different states could’ve been stressful, but Jackie made it effortless. She met with us monthly — whether over video calls or in person — always making sure we were on track and at ease. Her experience, organization, and trusted vendor connections saved us so much time and stress.
On the big day, Jackie and her team handled every detail behind the scenes so flawlessly that we were able to be fully present and truly enjoy every moment.

What sets Jackie apart is how genuinely she cares. She doesn’t treat you like just another client—she sincerely invests in you and your wedding journey. As a bilingual planner, she was also able to communicate seamlessly with my Korean parents, who appreciated her for her professionalism, and thoughtful mannerisms.

If you want a beautiful and stress-free day of the wedding, go to Jackie. Jackie will be your partner throughout the entire planning process. She'll listen to your ideas, offer expert advice, and handle the logistics, so you can focus on what truly matters! I have nothing but great things to say about Jackie and her team.
She is truly a one-stop shop and the definition of HIGH quality. I used her vendors for cake, DJ, and Photo Booth. Because Jackie is well connected in the wedding industry, finding vendors was a seamless process. Every vendor I talked with assured me I was in great hands with Jackie being my planner/coordinator.
The day of my wedding was so stress-free. She was able to quickly think on her feet because the weather was a lot chillier than we anticipated and was able to modify things that accommodated not only me as the bride but also my guests.
My experience with Wedding Story and Jackie has been truly amazing. If I could go back, I would have used all her vendors.

I only have the highest praises for Jackie and her team. I had my wedding at 2941 Restaurant in Falls Church and found Jackie on the list of preferred wedding planners/coordinators. I picked Jackie as my planner and day-of coordinator, and that was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding.
Jackie has so much experience and so many connections. She helped me find many of my vendors. She helped turn my wedding visions into reality, while giving great advice and keeping us on schedule. I'm amazed at how little stress I had in the month leading up to the wedding because she had helped me solidify so many details. Jackie is also super responsive, which I greatly appreciated (and needed) from my wedding planner.
In addition to Jackie's services, I ended up using Wedding Story for my flowers and hair/makeup, which all turned out beautifully. Jackie, being multi-talented, even did my hair!
On the day of the wedding, everything was so smooth - if anything went wrong, I don't know about it because Jackie handled it. Jackie coordinated all logistics communications with my external vendors, like cakes and favors. She and her team set up the whole venue so beautifully. And at the end of the night, she had all of my things packed up and ready to load into my friend's car. I honestly had so many guests come up to me to give their compliments to Jackie and her team, because they were so impressed by how organized they were. Can't recommend Jackie and Wedding Story enough! -

My wife and I just had our wedding this past Saturday and writing a review for Jackie is the first thing we got to once we recovered from the best weekend of our lives!
Where to start?
From the very beginning, Jackie was incredibly thoughtful, well planned out, and organized. She listened so attentively to our intial vision and needs (including our budget!) and laid out a plan of attack to meet everything we could dream of and more.
As our wedding date came closer, she was always super responsive to our questions and ensured that we had a near stress free experience heading into the wedding.
On the day of the wedding, she was flying around making sure that every single detail was perfect and that the timelines were 100% met. I've attended many weddings where so many things went haywire at the last minute, and we felt so blessed to have a wedding planner like Jackie (and her amazing staff!) who pulled the whole thing off without a hitch!
She's a fantastic choice and we can't imagine a better choice!
If you are lucky enough to hire Wedding Story, 10/10 would recommend! -

Jackie was so helpful. The parts that we really cared about she was detailed with. On the things we didn't care about, she was decisive and so helpful.
She did the hair, make-up, wedding dress alterations, flowers, decorating, planning, etc. We were ahead of schedule the day of the wedding which was sooooo nice ♥️ -

Jackie and her team were fantastic to work with! Extremely well organized, always available by Phone/email/text to answer any random questions we had, and got us some great deals with vendors that would have ended up costing us a lot more if we had done it ourselves.
My biggest reason for a five star review is because of her thoughtfulness even in the chaos of the reception. My dad came down with COVID a few days before the wedding and was unable to make the trip. Jackie personally video-called my dad multiple times during the reception so he could be a part of things (speeches, first dance, cutting, etc.). That meant a lot to both me and my dad. Jackie also even snagged me a bottle of liquor (Woodford Rye) from my "signature cocktail" because they were almost out of it and she wanted to make sure I got all that I wanted... It was like an extra wedding present!
I was skeptical about using a wedding planner at first, but I am extremely happy about our experience and would recommend Jackie and her team to anyone that has a wedding on the horizon. -

Jackie and her team at Wedding Story were phenomenal! With so much to consider, planning a wedding can be a daunting task. She took the stress out of the process with a streamlined approach to our wedding. Her insight, guidance, and vast network or resources and vendors made it so all we had to do is choose which options we liked best. From the flowers to the invitations, the photographer to the Dj, even the officiant and the venue, she really had everything covered. On the day of the wedding, the professionalism of their team ensured everything went beautifully. We have received so many compliments from all of our guests. My husband and I are very pleased with our wedding and reception, and so grateful to Wedding Story for making it happen. -

100% worth it
I can't recommend Jackie and her team enough! I thought I could plan my wedding on my own, but I was in way over my head. I wish I used Wedding Story sooner! Jackie has been in the business for years, so has many connections. She was able to find better deals than what I could on my own. Not only is she and her team highly professional, but they are also so knowledgeable and kind.
Planning a wedding is not easy, but thanks to Jackie, my needs were always met and she was quick to reply to all of my questions or concerns. After starting with Jackie, I became much more calm and so were my parents.
All I can say is: don't wait - contact Jackie! (Ps. she is completely fluent in both English and Korean, so she has an even wider selection of vendors she can connect you to for cakes, clothing, etc.) -

Jackie was a lifesaver!
Jackie and her team was so so efficient, professional, and amazing at executing all the small details for the wedding. We pulled the wedding in almost 4 months and we contacted Jackie because we needed to find a day of coordinator. She normally doesn’t do that she gave us a favor and worked with us for almost a month doing all the important work. She literally responded in 5 minutes and picked up call/text so fast and I don’t know how she does that. Her teammate on our wedding day was also super skilled that she revived my DIY tacky bridesmaid bouquet in 10 minutes. I felt so bad that her team had to make up for lots of things that didn’t go as planned but she made it work like magic. I wish we hired her in the beginning of our wedding planning because she helped us bring our venue cost down so much. It’s a must to hire a wedding planner who knows how to get things done, and she is THE ONE. Highly recommend. Plus, she decorated my cake, reception tables, and welcome table with some left over flowers and the decorations she brought. Couldn’t ask for more! -

It was wonderful working with Jackie for my wedding. I was one of the many unfortunate brides who had to postpone their wedding for covid and she helped me navigate through it all and reschedule with all my vendors multiple times. She helped make my vision come true and she did SUCH A GREAT JOB with the flower decorations. She’s very great at negotiating and bringing the prices down when looking for a venue. She helped me navigate this world of wedding planning and she was my shield against all the other vendors that try to overcharge. -

Ms. Jackie and the Wedding Story team were fabulous! We would not have had such a beautiful and perfect wedding day if it weren't for the huge help from Wedding Story. It is evident that they are experienced professionals that know what they are doing. Wedding planning is such a stressful task, but working with this wonderful team made our lives so much easier. They knew exactly what we wanted for our wedding, and if we wanted something specific to happen, they made sure that it was done! When we didn’t know what direction to go, Ms. Jackie gave us the guidance we needed and worked with our budget. She was always quick with her responses to give us help, suggestions, or advice with everything and anything. Ms. Jackie and her team are such hard workers, and they are quick to provide for our every need. I love that Ms. Jackie was organized, prompt, and timely during the planning process and wedding day. My friend recommended Wedding Story to me because they had done her hair and makeup a few years ago and she said they were really good.
"Really good" is an understatement! THEY'RE FREAKISHLY AMAZING AT WHAT THEY DO!
During the hair and makeup trial, all the staff were extremely friendly and makes you feel like you are the only person in the world getting married! And I looked freakin amazing! They really put a lot of emphasis on details and think about how the flow of the wedding can effect the hair and makeup on the day of and we talked a lot back and forth in person, over emails about various details. The attention to details really REALLY made a difference and I was so comfortable on the day of the wedding. My makeup stayed in place, my hair stayed in place, I cried and my makeup still stayed in place... it was just a fairytale!
I also did my flowers through them. I gave my budget for my flower and we got what I wanted, and we stayed VERY close to my budget! On the day of the flowers looked so beautiful and the staff came in, put everything together very smoothly. Our conversations about the flowers also made the day of extremely smooth. They taught one of our groomsmen how to take the flowers from the arch and inside to use for other things.
The whole experience with them was just very unexpectedly, extremely welcoming, professional and just very well done!

Jean Sent on 08/01/2014My experience with WS was excellent. (1) Dresses: they had various high end styled dresses to choose from. Ask for their package deals! I was able to rent 3 beautiful dresses for engagement/ceremony/reception and I was able to try on as many dresses I wanted before making my final choices. They were very patient with me. (2) Photo/Video: We enjoyed all our photo sessions with our photographer, Mr. Lee. He will make sure he gets enough pictures by staying over time. Make sure you dont rush him and give him enough time especially on your wedding day. Video is a MUST! We got our videos turned around real fast, and it captured all the main moments of our wedding day. Highly recommend it. Again, ask for their package deal. (3) DJ/MC: Eddie and his team was just awesome! Best investment we made out of all~ Our guests enjoyed 4 full hours of our reception thanks to these guys. Thanks Jackie and her entire WS team for our successful December wedding :D -

So many of my guests commented on how well put-together the wedding was and everyone, from the youngest to the oldest guest, had a great time. The various vendors that we hired through Jackie were all top-notch (esp. the DJ's) and the venue was decorated beautifully by her and her team. Everything from the ceremony to the reception went so smoothly that there was no time for me to be nervous or even panic. My husband and I, and our respective families, cannot thank Wedding Story enough for the joy they brought to our special day. I wish them only the best and hope that the bond I formed with them will be everlasting. -

Said YES to the dress at Wedding Story VA
I was on a very tight schedule for my wedding as I moved to the states in late June and the wedding was mid July. It was a huge transition and I was super stressed because I was worried I wasn't going to be able to find a dress I liked in time. Then I found a dress that I really liked at a store. It was off the rack but since we had so little time the alterations were to be super expensive. After the off the rack store, I went to Wedding Story VA were I found the almost exact dress!
And not only was Wedding Story VA able to fit the cleaning&alterations within our timeframe, but shoes, earring, veil, hair accessories were all included! It was so nice because they had a wide selection too.
Jackie helped me on the day of my wedding and she was AMAZING. She really cared about how I looked not how well the dress was portrayed. She was kind, friendly and very professional. She knew what she was doing and I already knew she did when we were talking about the dress rental details in her office, but seeing her on site doing her thing made me proud of myself for making the right choice of having Jackie help me through my big day.
The dress was gorgeous and it was the perfect dress for a summer evening wedding. I simply wouldn't have been able to have my wedding even close to decent if it hadn't been for Wedding Story VA. I am in so much gratitude and I hope Wedding Story fulfills the dream wedding of countless future brides too! -
