  Amazing venue!

  This such a beautiful venue with an incredible staff! My sister had her reception here and it was gorgeous. Hardly had to get any decor or and didnt have any flowers the place is cute enough on it's own. The staff was so accommodating and very helpful.

  Wonderful Venue for our Wedding Welcome Party

  We held our casual welcome party/sangeet for our wedding at Wave Street Studios, and we highly recommend it as a venue! The Wave Street Studios owners and staff are so kind, accommodating, and helpful. The property itself is beautiful and natural, and was a perfect backdrop for our colorful decor. It was also super easy selecting vendors since Wave Street is totally flexible (a total PLUS when most venues have crazy restrictions). If you are looking for a unique venue in a perfect location in Monterey, look no further than Wave Street Studios.

  60th Birthday Extravaganza

  This is the best venue to have any event. Very easy to work with the staff and the setting is so beautiful! It is what put the experience over the top. Our guests felt welcomed and comfortable in the very festive atmosphere. They are still raving about it! Very happy with how it turned out.

  Highly Recommended

  Wave Street Studios was perfect for my son's wedding. He grew up in this area and he wanted his out of town friends and family to experience the beauty of the Monterey Peninsula and Big Sur. We had our guests stay at the intercontinental so Wave St. was the perfect location for the reception, plus we were able to party till 1 AM. Rhett and his staff were very accomodating and easy to work with.

  Unforgettably perfect!

  Wave Street Studios was a perfect choice for our Wedding Celebration! Our guests were in awe as they walked into the tree lit garden patio complete with a bonfire and cascading water wall. They enjoyed the heated benches and drinks served at the outdoor cocktail bar. The inside studio offered a professional dance floor, stage lighting and sound system that highlighted our musicians and guests in the most elegant way. We especially enjoyed the staff at Wave Street Studios not only for their professionalism but in how they treated our event with so much care. We really felt like family!

  Wave Street Studios Exceeded our Expectations

  Rhett, Judy, and their WSS staff were incredibly helpful from the first meeting all the way through the end of our special day! They are on top of their game, helped plan, communication was easy, anything we asked they had an answer for and it was as if they shared the same vision or even improved on ours! They went the extra mile with our flowers, all the deliveries, rentals, vendors, taking the stress off our shoulders and would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone thinking of getting married at WSS. Go by, check them out and I know you'll feel like you're in good, capable hands, because you will be! Thank you to all! We'll be back to hang out and have a tea with ya!

  Wave Street Studios is an amazing venue. I had my wedding here and it could not have turned out any better. The staff was very helpful and relaxed. The owners were very accommodating to all requests and very easy to work with. This is truly a gem in Monterey... by the way they have amazing coffee and tea as well. Thank you Rhett and team!

  Rhett and his team did an incredible job pulling through with my vision.
  All my guests loved the elegant, warm feel the venue gives.
  Everything was on time and arranged as expected.

The space was designed and built by owner Rhett Smith and is made almost entirely of recycled materials from the surrounding areas. It has far too many great features to list, and the website photos don't do it justice. The staff is super helpful and really care about helping you have a successful event. If you are looking for a unique venue that your guests will talk about for years, go check see this one in person. LOVED IT!

  Great Value & Beautiful Building

  This is great Monterey wedding venue for those who are looking to stay within budget. The building is beautiful, and the owners were so helpful during the wedding. They helped with the layout, and helped our caterer set up. It was a little difficult to get in touch with the owner until he got an assistant to help. She was very nice and easy to get a hold of. We planned for 94 guests are our wedding. I was a little worried because I thought we would be tight on space, but we all fit very comfortably. The outside court yard, and heated bench was lovely. I am so glad we found this gem.

I felt that I needed to locate my own caterer, etc. as Rhett was not very responsive to questions, offering suggestions and/or feedback, etc. Overall, I would use the venue again for the location and design, not for the services offered by Rhett.

  The organization of Rhett and his team is lacking. We would book an appointment and he wouldn't have our paperwork ready to go. Every time we met I felt like we were going over the same details repeatedly, but the place looks so good, I was willing to put up with the lack of structure.
  Halfway through planning, Wave Street partnered with Elegant Affair and the miscommunication got worse and worse. Promises were made by Rhett that Elegant Affair later made us pay extra for or just simply did not provide. This process became more and more stressful as the 2 companies struggled to work out the kinks of their new partnership.
  In the end my wedding was beautiful, but I would have liked a smoother transition between Rhett managing our site, linens, and table rental, catering, etc to Elegant Affair
