⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Flawless, Magical Wedding at Waterside

Choosing Waterside in North Bergen as our wedding venue was truly one of the best decisions we made for our big day. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was something extraordinary — but the actual wedding day exceeded every possible expectation. The venue was absolutely breathtaking, providing a picture-perfect backdrop for our first look and private vows, as well as our photos throughout the wedding. Every single guest commented on how stunning the venue was. The attention to detail in every corner made the entire space feel warm, elegant, and magical.
The staff went above and beyond. We were blown away by their kindness, professionalism, and genuine excitement in making our day unforgettable. They were incredibly organized, attentive, flexible, and always one step ahead — we never had to worry about a single thing. Lesley and our Maître d’ Shantal were absolutely phenomenal, and we truly cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make the day perfect from start to finish!
The reception was flawless. The food was exceptional, the ambiance was intimate yet lively, and the flow of the entire evening was seamless. We felt incredibly cared for, and everything came together even more beautifully than we imagined.
If you're searching for a venue that is not only gorgeous but also run by an amazing team who truly cares, look no further. Waterside gave us the wedding of our dreams, and we will forever be grateful.

Most professional and collaborative wedding venue

I had my wedding at Waterside in December 2023 (about ~120 guests) and cannot say enough good things about my experience. From working with Lesley who was super flexible in allowing me to visit multiple times to make my decision on the venue, to Shantal and Christian (the BEST day of partners you can ask for) who literally made sure everything I hoped for and asked for went as planned... the experience was incredible. I am one of those people who have lists and double check everything over and over again to ensure perfectness and Waterside made me feel so assured from beginning to end. The entire team was so responsive, answered any and all questions I had and most importantly, they made me feel welcome. The guests asked who I used as my day of coordinator because things ran so smoothly and the bride and groom weren't running around at all but enjoying each minute. And the FOOD! We chose Waterside because it is also a restaurant and the cocktail and main dishes were all amazing... guests said it was superior to any other wedding food they had. All in all, I want to thank Waterside for a great experience. There is literally nothing I would change if I had to go back, thanks to its amazing staff and hospitality!

The best decision we ever made

I don't really have enough words to describe my experience at Waterside. We found Waterside in early 2019 and immediately signed our contract to get married there in April 2020. When the pandemic was quickly ramping up, Waterside was able to help me find a new date (in November 2020). When it was clear that that date would still not be safe, they immediately opened their calendars to find a new date, this time November 2021. Waterside was by far my easiest vendor during the evolving COVID-situation and they made me, a very stressed-out bride, feel much more at ease. Shantal was my go-to person the entire time and was an extremely helpful, communicative, professional, and all-around amazing person to work with. Whenever I had a question, big or small, she always answered and provided all of the details needed.

We finally had our wedding on November 5th and wow, it was worth the wait. Christian was extremely helpful and communicative leading up to the wedding. I cannot rave enough about the entire Waterside team on the day of the wedding. Everyone was incredibly kind, accomodating, and always one step ahead. If I wanted one thing done a certain way, it was done, no hesitation. We had our ceremony outside right as the sun was beginning to set and it was a perfect backdrop – I highly recommend doing the ceremony outside if you can! We have had MULTIPLE people tell us this was the best wedding meal they've ever had, between the meal at the reception and the food during cocktail hour. Overall, this was the perfect venue for us and I would vouch for Waterside, Shantal, Leslie, and Christian to anyone looking for a gorgeous venue where you know you'll be taken care of! They are all professionals and will make this day so easy for you!

Great ambience and service!

They are professionals!
Shantal was great from beginning to end. Our wedding ceremony was suppose to be in the venue, outside. But it rained that day! So they moved it to the third floor, which was great ( I don’t know what I would of done if we didn’t get that option).
The venue is beautiful and the location is unbeatable.
Food was amazing, we heard from
Our guest that there was a vast amount of it during the cocktail hour. Dinner was delicious and fulfilling as well. No one left hungry I assure you of that!
Big thank you to Chris as well, he provide us and our guest with amazing service!

This place has it all.

This was the first place we looked at to have our wedding. I knew right then and there that was the place. The view alone is enough. I had out of state guests and they couldn’t get over the view and how awesome it was. The food was absolutely amazing and no one left hungry. It’s also a great place just to have dinner and there is brunch on Sundays.

Shantal and Miguel were a pleasure to work with when we were planning the wedding. Highly recommend for any kind of event.

There are no words to really express how grateful we are for the team at Waterside, in particular Shantal Videla. She, along with Miguel Medrano, made the whole process extremely smooth and relaxing. Every step of the way they held our hands, answered all of our questions, gave us advice, and handled every day of details and services. They worked with our vendors to ensure all of the pieces came together. Shantal was our main coordinator. As a bride, I am most thankful to her for calming my nerves, making me laugh, and offering her professional suggestions when I would become indecisive about a detail. The day of the wedding, when my mom could not bustle my dress' train, Shantal quickly came to the rescue and bustled my dress. Shantal and Miguel made sure my husband and I enjoyed the reception and the whole experience.

We had our wedding at Waterside in June and it was the most amazing day. From the food, to the location, to the people - everything was perfect!!! This review is long overdue, and I'm really sorry it took so long! Waterside is a great location with great panoramic views of NYC. We reserved the third floor space and it was stunning! We chose the brunch option, and not only did they beat all of the competitors in the area, the food was truly great! My family who is usually blunt when they don't like something was extremely happy with the food and the space.

What sets them apart however, is their event planner, Shantal Videla! She was just amazing! She handled absolutely everything and made our life so much easier! To paint you a better picture, we met with her just 2 times prior to the event, and absolutely everything was perfect! I, myself, love to plan everything so that I can have peace of mind, but I didn't even have to do that! She thought of every possible solution to any of my questions or concerns! She is just that good! On the day of the event, she was handling another event on the second floor, but she still came to see us and even grabbed my wife and me a plate full of food because she knows how busy hosts get! Up until this day, I am so grateful for her dedication and attention to detail. We cannot recommend her and Waterside enough!

The Waterside is the place to have a Wedding reception. We had our wedding in July 2017. It was WONDERFUL. The entire wedding experience was EXCELLENT. Shantal Videla was EXTREMELY helpful. She is the best. We are so GRATEFUL to her. Everyone was pleased with the excellent food and of course with the location, that has an AMAZING view the NYC skyline. It was a PERFECT night! All of my guests continue to tell me, 8 months later what a great time they had!! We HIGHLY recommend it as wedding reception venue.

Words cannot begin to express how thankful and pleased we are with the entire staff at Waterside. After planning our destination wedding for over a year, we were forced to cancel it one month before our date due to the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. In a panic, we contacted Waterside. We set up a meeting to meet with Fran, one of the owners and discuss the details. From the first hello, Fran was amazing. She has such a kind demeanor and true love and passion for her business. She quickly put as at ease, giving us several options. Then we were introduced to Miguel, our Maitre D. It was truly a blessing having him in charge of our day. He helped us come up with decorating ideas and recommended us to some vendors who we ended up using, and LOVED. He set up the spaces exactly how we wanted them, even exceeding our expectations. On the day of, Miguel was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, tending to our every need and request. Many people warned us about not eating at our own wedding, but this was not the case as Miguel made sure we were fed, just as much as our guests were! Miguel also collaborated with our vendors to ensure the timeline went smoothly, even ending up being ahead of schedule so that we could fully enjoy every moment of it. From the food, to the staff, to Fran and Miguel, everything was truly exquisite and would highly recommend them to anyone!

My husband and I could not express enough how happy and grateful with are with the Waterside! From day one when we first walked into the room that we both fell in love with because ofsuch a breath taking view, to the amazing service from Lindsey, Shantel, and Miguel! All three were outstanding and very attentive to any phone calls, emails, and last minute visits. The are literally the Wedding Dream Team! We got married two months ago, and all our guests are still talking about our wedding, we knew we went with the best! When my husband and I always attended weddings, either the entertainment was great and the food/bar was bad or vice versa, and we told Lindsey in our first meeting our goal was to have the best entertainment, food, and bar; and she definitely delivered!

My wedding at Waterside Restaurant and Catering was absolutely phenomenal! The food was fresh and delicious! All of my guests raves about cocktail hour and their entrees. The VIEW is just immaculate. Every photo my guests took had the background of the NYC skyline. How fantastic is that?! Shantel, Miguel and Frances were so accommodating and helpful BEFORE and during my wedding. Every time I turned I saw both Shantel and Miguel present, as they were very vigilant to my needs and any of my requests. My guests also had great interactions with them which is a PLUS! I don’t have anything negative to say about this venue! My Husband jokes and asks if we can do it again! It was a beautiful and memorable party! Highly recommend!

My Husband and I Both Grew Up in the Restaurant Business. We Rarely Are Satisfied Whenever We Go Out To Eat. My Husband Is A Great Cook and Baker And Eating Out is Never Really Satisfying to Us. We Love Cooking For Ourselves Knowing We Use The Best & Most Freshest Ingredients. In September 2017 We Had An Event At The Waterside Restaurant in North Bergen for one of my Daughters. The Waterside Restaurant's Head Chef Is No One More Than Its Own -Owner! There Is Absolutely No Way You Will be Disappointed Being On Top Of Your Business and Knowing what You Are Delivering To The Paying Customer!....Nothing Else Can Be Said. Outstanding Was The FOOD -The Service-And of Course The Atmosphere Of Its NY Skyline Views. It Even Has An Elegant Set Up Outdoors For Good Picture Taking. A Big Thank You To The Well Manicured Staff And Hosts & Hostesses For Your Overall Management of The Whole Event. Always Had Our Backs Covered To Make Sure No Little Detail Was An Oversight!...B R A V O!!! We will be back for Plenty of Dinners and More Events Personal And Organizational. I hosted my sister's Bridal Shower this past Saturday, July 22 and I was blown away by the wonderful service and the overall experience at the Waterside Restaurant. I worked closely with Shantal Videla throughout the planning process and she served as my host during the party. She was absolutely wonderful and answered all of my questions promptly with the utmost professionalism. The food was outstanding and the view was wonderful. My guests are still raving! Thank you to Shantal especially and to all of the Waterside staff members for allowing me to create this memory with all of my family and friends! I would definitely host another event at the Waterside Restaurant in the future.

We had our wedding at the Waterside in June 2017 and worked with Shantal for over a year to plan the reception. Throughout the entire process, she could not have been any easier and pleasant to work with - be it responding to general questions or providing her valuable insight regarding suggestions which made the night unforgettable. Shantal's attention to detail and willingness to accommodate our requests made us feel like we were her only clients even though she was juggling several other events at the same time. With all of the stress that is associated with wedding planning, it is comforting to know that you can fully trust and have complete confidence that every detail will be addressed. Shantal was the first person to greet us upon our arrival at the event and made sure we were taken care of throughout the entire night. It doesn't get any better! In addition to the exemplary service, the food and skyline views make this the ideal spot to have a wedding. I would highly recommend the venue for anyone looking to have any type of event!

This was truly our dream wedding at Waterside! The location has amazing views of the river and city skylines. I am so happy I decided to use this venue for my wedding this past August 2016. There food was amazing, it wasn't typical wedding food and the cocktail hour had a variety which was truly impeccable along with the elegant display.

Shantel and Miguel were truly my rock! I don't know what I would have done without them. They made everything run so smoothly. I did not have to think about anything at all, they were there to make sure my husband and I enjoyed ourselves. There confidence in their roles made my wedding outstanding.

This was the perfect place and I would recommend this venue! A completely 5 star venue all around!

Me & my husband were married at Waterside on 11/19 and it was absolutely phenomenal. We had our ceremony on-site, along the Hudson, with the gorgeous NYC skyline as our back drop (great for photos!!). The food and service were fantastic and the staff, especially the Miguel and Shantal, were awesome. They made sure our night was perfect from beginning to end. We could not be any happier that we had our wedding at Waterside! Shantal was so easy to work with, answered all our questions, and accommodated our every need. I honestly was a little hesitant at first to book so quickly, since it was only the second venue we had visited. But I'm so happy we did, otherwise we would have lost out on this amazing venue (which seemed to be booking up quickly). If you are looking for a venue with an amazing view, modern feel, and delicious food, Waterside is the place to book.

We were won over by the amazing view of the skyline, and knew that the food was going to be delicious since Waterside is a restaurant. This was confirmed at the tasting. Our guests also could not get over the view and could not stop raving about the food. Our guests said they filled up on the endless food at the cocktail hour, they barely had room for the main reception dishes.

We had some concerns about the size of the venue, since we had roughly 170 guests. Our ceremony overflowed off the main area, but it all worked out. We all fit cozily on the third floor for our reception. It felt a little snug and got hot quickly, but that was because our friends love to dance!

I had my bridal shower at Waterside this past July 2016 and I cannot describe how amazing it was! Everything went so perfectly from the planning of everything to the day of the event. Lesley, made my day so spectacular! She helped with every detail and was always there if I had a question or concern. Not only is Lesley professional, she is a sweetheart. I was able to bring all my decorations the day before which was a huge help since I had so much stuff :) The day of the shower the staff was so friendly and especially attentive to not only my needs but to my guests. The room Lesley had picked out for us was absolutely breathtaking! The view of NYC was just gorgeous! People are still talking about it! Lesley helped with the set up of the room which was half lounge area half tables and chairs and she knew exactly where to put the gift table and dessert table, she made my vision come to life. The food was delicious and especially the drinks! My bridal glass was never empty thanks to the great staff! Another thing, that I loved about coming to Waterside was extremely friendly the hostess was, no matter who was there to greet me it was always with a smile and eager to help. Also, my fiancé and my father wanted to come so they hung out at the restaurant downstairs and loved every minute of it. My father was even able to spoke his cigar on the outside deck which he loved! i wanted my shower to have a sexy modern feel and Waterside is exactly that! It's one of the most gorgeous venues. It is not your typical venue which I love. And nothing absolutely beats that view! Besides it being an amazing venue it has an amazing staff. i highly recommend Waterside for your shower and wedding. Ask for Lesley she'll make your dreams come true!

If you're looking for a smooth, efficient, and stylish wedding reception than please consider The Waterside Restaurant and Catering. From the start of our entire reception planning process, the team at The Waterside made the two of us feel like they valued our business AND the execution of our event. My husband and I never felt like we were just another wedding reception to the venue and any questions we had were always answered promptly.

The venue itself is simply gorgeous - chic decor with a magnificent view of the NYC Skyline. The food was raved about by many of our guests, both during the cocktail hour and formal dinner, and the service team made every effort to make anyone who asked for anything feel attended to.

Coordination between the vendors we chose went by without a hitch and from a flexibility standpoint, The Waterside was top notch. Within obvious reason, their attitude to any suggestion or idea we came up with for our reception was always 'Yes'.

We had our wedding at Waterside on 9/17/16 and I still can't stop thinking about how perfect the venue was. All of our guests absolutely loved the gorgeous views from the outdoor ceremony. It was set up perfectly so everyone could see us under the huppah and enjoy the city skyline. The food was amazing and the selection was huge so everyone ended up satisfied. Aside from the obvious beauty of the venue itself, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff. All the waiters and bartenders were so courteous and accommodating to our guests requests. Shantal was our coordinator and she's absolutely fantastic!! She helped us through every step of the planning process. We must've emailed her a hundred times and she always replied promptly, politely, and with a solution to any problem we had. If anything didn't go according to plan on the day of, I had no idea! She made sure everything was taken care of behind the scenes so we never had to stress.

Our wedding was everything we dreamed of thanks to Shantal and Waterside!!!

Had my wedding on October 16, 2016 along with my ceremony and the reception, couldn't have asked for a more perfect day from staff, waiters, waitress, wedding coordinator, food quality, beverages. Everything was perfect!! Miguel was my wedding coordinator and he went above and beyond for my husband and me he was fantastic and great!!! Very helpful, informative, patient, very good at his job!!! I am so excited to sing the praises of this amazing venue! My now husband and I booked our wedding over a year and a half in advance because when you know, you know! From day one we were dealing with Shantal who was truly exceptional at her job! You can tell she has such a passion for the business and made my husband and I feel like family from the moment we set foot in Waterside. Shantal was also so reliable, responsive, knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way. My husband and I (and all our guests too) were also so impressed with this venue. The food, service and experience was nothing short of perfect. I can't thank the Waterside, Shantal, Miguel and all their staff enough for creating such a memorable and amazing experience. Waterside was the absolute best decision we could made on everything that came to our wedding. The view, the food, and the service was to die for. We could not be any happier with Waterside. Our dream wedding came true at Waterside and we're forever thankful. The location has impeccable views of the river and city skylines and our outdoor ceremony with the sunset as a backdrop was breathtaking.

If their 5-star food wasn't amazing enough as is; Waterside included in their package a wide variety of cuisines and sufficient food to feed three our four armies. The catering was the talk of the wedding!

The customer service was impeccable from beginning to end. There wasn't a question not answered with a smile. Shantal was the rock to our wedding, ensuring every detail went to plan. We couldn't pose any issue to her without a quick confident reply and actions to back it all up.

Saying out wedding was perfect at Waterside would be a gross understatement. Thank you Waterside!!!!

To say our wedding was a success at the Waterside is an understatement. We could not have been happier with our amazing wedding reception. Miguel and Shantal were so accommodating and hustled for us like you wouldn't believe, we did not have to worry about a thing. They were on top of everything during the planning process and the day of made everything run super smooth. When i saw the room set up before our guests arrived, it was everything I had dreamed of. Francis the Owner also plays a key part in planning and is very involved so you feel they really care about you. You will feel like you are getting so much for a reasonable price. Our guests RAVED about the food and the venue-- most especially the view. We had a most memorable and amazing wedding thanks to the Waterside. We highly recommend to all!

Let me start off by saying that my now husband an I fell in love with Waterside when we first went in for a tour when we were initially scouting for a venue back in February 2016. During that very first meeting with Bob the general manager we were blown away with how courteous and accommodating he and the rest staff were. From the moment we decided to book them as our wedding ceremony and reception venue, they were helpful, accommodating and supportive every step of the way. They worked with us and our wedding planner to customize the wedding package they offered to suit our style and our guests. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception there. The food & drinks were top notch, the views of the NYC skyline were spectacular. All our guest raved at the quality and beauty of it all. I would also like to mention that Miguel and Shantal the two event coordinators went above and beyond. They were professional, courteous and pleasant the entire time. They took care of everything, and by that I mean anything you could imagine. They made sure my husband and I ate after the photo session and before we joined our guest, they helped calm any anxious family members when any hiccups arose and resolving them quickly, they kept the event running smoothly while making sure our family and friends enjoyed themselves. We could not have asked for more. Our wedding was truly perfect. We are so happy to have found and chosen Waterside. They truly are a premier events venue.

We recently had our wedding and reception at the Waterside and I can't say enough about what a pleasant experience this was. Shantal and Miguel were on top of everything from the day that we booked our venue. They went out of their way to ensure that our wedding was everything that we had hoped for and they handled every little detail so that we'd didn't have to get stressed the day. Of the wedding. The cocktail hour and dinner was incredible with an amazing assortment of delicious food. Lastly, you can't beat the beautiful view of the New York City skyline. Our guests are still raving about their experience at the Waterside. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to book a venue!

Our wedding was everything we could have hoped for! Not only is the venue gorgeous, but the team at the Waterside also make the whole process so easy!

Shantal, the event coordinator, was amazing from the day we first met her to the day of the wedding. I was a little surprised when we were 9 months out and she said that we didn't have to meet again until 3 months before the wedding, but she quickly calmed my nerves by walking us through what needed to be done and when. Whenever we had questions, she was quick to respond, and she made it clear all the way through that she was making us the center of the day. She was even willing and able to accommodate my husband's request for a special craft beer.

On the day of the wedding, she made sure that we were taken care of from the moment we walked in the door. She whisked us away to ensure we ate and had something to drink, and since our pictures ran longer than we had hoped, the Maitre d' brought us up one of everything from the cocktail hour so that we could enjoy some of the delicious food. We are still receiving compliments on how great the wedding was and how good the food was, and it would not have been possible without the Waterside. I cannot speak highly enough of the Waterside and what they did for our wedding. I would highly recommend them to others, and I wish that I knew someone else getting married there so that I could enjoy a wedding there.

We are approaching our 1 year wedding anniversary so I'm traveling memory lane! Derek and I ONLY looked at Waterside for our wedding. We both knew that our wedding would be perfect there - and it was. Shantal was very attentive, professional, and Patient. She answered emails, questions, and requests immediately and professionally. The best part was - since I didn't use a wedding planner - she had so much experience that she had answers to everything! Our guests couldn't believe how much food the cocktail hour offered. The views ae breath taking from every room or outside. The tvs and lighting upstairs also saved us DJ money :) !! We hope to go to dinner or brunch at Waterside for our anniversary next month!

My husband and I were extremely happy with Waterside as our wedding Venue. They were really great all the way around. Our maitre d for the day was Shantel. She was really amazing and was on top of everything through out the day. Francis was another person we really enjoyed working with. She was really supportive in this stressful time and made the whole experience much more relaxing. We originally booked the venue with Lesley who was also great to work with. All in all the team at Waterside was amazing. The facility looked better and better every time we came back to check in. They did alot of upgrades just in the 10 months that we booked the venue. We received tons of compliments on the food. Everyone was really happy. We did have time to eat and enjoy the food as well thanks to the coordinators who made sure we didn't go hungry. Waterside was really accommodating in every aspect. Anything I needed as a bride was provided to me immediately. We are very happy with the service and experience we had at Waterside. Thank you for helping us have the best day of our lives!

Vue Magazine recently had an event at Waterside Restaurant for the launch of our Spring 2016 magazine. The venue was amazing, the staff was so accommodating and helpful, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was beautiful inside and out. From socializing indoors to taking pictures in front of one of the best skyline views in the county, guests have been talking about the success of the party for weeks. Waterside has been nothing but helpful and resourceful. From the beginning, we worked with Frances then with Shantal. And they have been exceptional and so very friendly. And on the reception day, both Shantal and Miguel was there to help us with anything we needed. They have been so good with going through everything and I felt as if I had my own personal wedding planner for the reception. Everything from start to finish was a breeze and they were very accommodating with any special requests we had. And I've attended a wedding before at Waterside and had the best wedding food ever! So no doubt I knew the food was going to be good. But my reception food was even better and all the guests raved about the food and that it was the best food they had at a wedding too. I would highly recommend Waterside to everyone!

I held my daughter's bridal shower brunch there on Sunday, 3/20/16. It was just wonderful. The room was set up beautifully, and the view was amazing. The event planner made recommendations about the room structure that was perfect. I have had comments from family and friends who attended about how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was. Some of those folks had never been to the Waterside and loved everything about it. The entire staff did everything they could to make my daughter's day special. I would recommend The Waterside over and over again.

This is the second event we hosted at Waterside Catering. The first was our baby shower in December 2010. We had a brunch style-reception. The food was awesome & in abundance. All my guests were in love with the location, the food & the service. It feels really good to have family & friends come up to you in the middle of your event & say “this place is amazing”…After our baby shower, we said if we ever get married we must celebrate it here… Sure enough that’s exactly what we did…

On 2/21/16 it was with great joy that we celebrated our Wedding Reception at Waterside with our son- whose baby shower we celebrated in the same room 5 years prior. It was simply AMAZING!

I would like to share our TOP 10 reasons why Waterside Catering is TOP Notch & get’s 5’s across the board…
1. Frances Vagias-is Wonderful! I called one month prior to our wedding (initially we were planning on having a very simple & intimate pre-fix dinner in the restaurant part for 30-40ppl). It’s priceless when you have the owner of a venue call you back & say “how can I help you make your wedding beautiful?” From the first conversation she made me feel at ease, worked with our “vision & budget” & helped us have our dream reception with our close family & friends (ended up being 100ppl!!!) in the same room we hosted our baby shower. She was always available & responded to messages within minutes. Her attention to detail & the love that she has for her business radiates with every encounter we shared with her…A true pleasure to work with.

This was a 60th birthday party for me. My husband planned it with Shantal who was just wonderful. She worked with him every step of the way. She was helpful, informative and so graceful. The night of the event everyone who works for Waterside Catering was wonderful. They all work hard and are fantastic. The service is excellent and the attitudes of everyone is to be there for you.
Besides the venue being perfect with the New York skyline in the background, the food was really good. Usually one does not have room for the main course by the time it arrives but the food was so good you just had to eat what was on your plate.
I must say this is a five star recommendation because of the people, the place and the food. We will come back again. Thank you everyone at Waterside.

We had a spectacular wedding reception at the Waterside for my daughter's wedding in October 2015. The venue has breathtaking panoramic views of the NY Skyline, the food is phenomenal, and the wait staff is impeccable. They made serving over 190 people seem effortless. Many of the guests from outside Bergen County came up to me and asked how I found such a fantastic wedding venue. One person said she has been to 5 weddings this year, and this was by far the best. For me, the key to it all was our Party Planner, Shantal V., who made both the planning and execution of the event effortless for my daughter and me. She was thorough, reliable, and a pleasure to work with. She was there whenever I needed her, right through the event. She even made sure that I got to eat at the cocktail hour by bringing me a plate of food without my asking. If there were more than 5 stars, the Waterside would certainly deserve them. I highly recommend them!

We had the most incredible day of our lives thanks to the Waterside team. The venue has a beautiful view of the city, the food is to die for and the staff amazingly helpful and professional. In the year leading up to our wedding as well, the events team were so accommodating of our vision and provided great insight into the timelines for the night and food options for our guests. I didn't have a single worry on the day thanks to their professional team and great chefs. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Waterside and it was truly exquisite! From the cocktail hour to dessert, we could not get enough of all the delicious food options. Our guests still talk about how delicious everything was and the views- PERFECTION!! We are still in amazement of our wedding photos and the glimmering NYC skyline behind us. Our wedding at the Waterside was everything we dreamed of and more. We wanted an elegant, sophisticated NYC wedding and that is what the Waterside provided us with. I usually do not write reviews, but I can’t help but share the great experience we had with Waterside in planning our wedding. From beginning to end Shantal, Miguel, Dina, and Frances have been amazing! Helpful, informative and pleasant are what my husband and I can describe our experience with them. They are what made this process go smoothly. Whether it was meeting them in person to go over the planning. by phone or email, they responded quickly to our questions and reassured us along the way. The wedding day was a success (many compliments from our guests); from the beautiful outdoor ceremony - with the skyline view of New York City, to the cocktail hour, and reception. The quality of the food was amazing and the best (thank you chef)!!! Our guest were impressed with the many options available at the cocktail hour to the amazing dinner at the reception (that’s what sold us - plus the view). Now two weeks later, we continue to hear our guests talk about how excellent the food was and we are grateful to Waterside. Some of our guests have told us that they have gone to many weddings and the food by far, exceeded their expectations and we couldn’t agree more. Overall, our experience with Waterside was positive, successful, and full of great memories. Thank you to all the staff at Waterside; you are amazing! My wedding was simply amazing! The view was amazing and my attendant was the best. Most of the time the bride and groom don't get to have Hors d'oeuvres but my attendant made sure she brought us a little of everything so we didn't miss out! My wife and I meant to write this sooner, our wedding was last year. Frances and her entire team at Waterside were amazing to work with and they made sure we had the best experience possible. The venue is beautiful and well kept, the views are amazing and the staff is great. There was so much food and we received nothing but positive feedback from friends and family. We were so happy we opted to have our ceremony outdoors at Waterside as well. Every picture looks like a postcard with the Manhattan skyline and the river as a backdrop. We loved every minute of our wedding and Waterside was a big part of that.

Our guests continue to e-mail us "Best Wedding Ever!" for which we want to recognize the efforts of everybody at the Waterside.

We received personal service from Frances throughout the arrangements and we felt that she took a personal interest in ensuring our party would be special. When the big day arrived, the cocktail hour was tremendous, and the dinner (we offered choices of Chateaubriand, Chilean Sea Bass or Chicken) was delicious; a complete selection of top shelf liquors were offered over two open bars. The views of the river and the Manhattan skyline are stunning; the service was prompt and attentive; and the ambience was great.

We would highly recommend this venue to any couples presently planning a wedding.

We hosted a retirement party at Waterside and all the guests raved about the room, view and food. We had a private room with an impeccable view of the skyline. It felt very personal and intimate even though there was ample room to move around and socialize. The food was delicious and the service was exemplary.

Shantal was our maitre'd and our wedding planner throughout the whole process. She is AMAZING!! She was so quick to respond to e-mails as well as requests. She made sure everything was planned out accordingly and made the process for us so much easier. We are truly thankful for her patience with us. I had amazing reviews from guests on how well everything was executed. They never felt rushed during the whole event. They loved everything about Waterside, but their main point was the VIEW, of course and you know us Asians, we love to linger and take pictures. We really got lucky with the weather this April and got to have our ceremony outside, which wow'ed our guests because the view was spectacular. Getting them inside was the hardest part, but once they got in, all they could talk about was the FOOD and how DELICIOUS it was and the selection was so overwhelming. They had a blast! A week after the wedding and they are still raving about it ! We are so happy with the results and definitely recommend Waterside to future wedding couples! THEY ARE OUTSTANDING!!

We also wanted to thank Frances for taking the time to speak with us and help us go over our itinerary for that day. She was super detailed, which we love and was a delight. She was always there to answer any questions for us as well as any concerns that we had. She is also amazing! Till this day we are getting "Best Wedding Ever" comments.

During the planning stages they were always available to answer questions and went out of their way to accommodate our need for decor storage and prep time. During the event, they and the catering staff were flawless. Guest raved about not only the beauty of the venue, with its modern elegant design and amazing view of the skyline, but also the outstanding service and quality of food. I highly recommend it!

Shantal Videla is the event coordinator and let me tell boy did she delivered! She answered every email, every concern that we had for our wedding. I booked this venue the day after we looked at it! Not only is this family kind and accommodating, they are extremely helpful and stick by their word which is something we did NOT experience when we looked at The Liberty House. Waterside is beautiful, affordable and they went out of their way to make sure our day, in the busiest wedding season...happens! The food, the location, everything about it is wonderful! My fiancé and I chose the Waterside as the venue for our engagement party (February 28, 2015) and we could not have picked a more perfect place! The theme of our party was "The Great Gatsby," and the third floor where our party was allowed that theme to come alive. It is a beautiful venue with an art deco, glamorous and modern vibe. The view, the food, the service and the attention to detail were excellent. We wanted a venue in New Jersey where you could see the NYC skyline, and the view was breathtaking and made for incredible photos. The food was delicious from the salad, the appetizers, to multiple choices of entrees and then finally desserts, our guests are still talking about how much they loved it and how plentiful it was. Shantel was great to work with from the day we booked the venue until the night of the party. She took care of everything and allowed us to enjoy our party carefree! All in all, the party was a success and I (along with my fiancé, our families and I'm sure our guests) would highly recommend this venue!

I had my company holiday function at this location. I selected it as I had been there for a wedding a few months earlier. The food, the view, the space, etc. were all perfect. Our coordinator Shantal worked with us on making our party perfect. I would recommend Waterside for any function.

Waterside Restaurant was absolutely wonderful. From the beginning until the last minute, the staff and management was perfect. We met with Lesley to see the venue and book our holiday party, and she was so great in answering all of our many questions and her attention to detail was everything we looked for and more. The night of the party, Miguel was our Maitre'D and he just made the party a complete success. Without him, we would not have had the greatest party to date! He answered our many questions during the night and he delivered such an amazing night. There are not enough thank yous and praises for the amazing job they did, from our first phone call to the last song, we loved every minute of it!! When we started planning our wedding, we truly knew there was no other place but the Waterside Restaurant for our big day.
VIEW! VIEW! VIEW!- Waterside has one of the most SPECTACULAR views of the NYC Skyline. We were fortunate enough to have our ceremony outdoors and it was just perfect! Your guests will be mesmerized and it makes for unbelievably beautiful photos.

VENUE- the space has a modern, art deco feel and not the traditional 'banquety' feel. I loved the lounge type layout that was used for cocktail hour equipped with cocktail tables and couches spread out all around the space. The reception is held on a different floor which has the more formal feel. Both spaces have uplights with a variety of colors to match your wedding scheme. Could it get any better? The answer is YES!

MENU- OMG the menu!!! This is where we were sold when we first visited the Waterside Restaurant. The cocktail hour alone has more of a variety of food choices than you will probably ever find anywhere else. But it's not just the abundance of food- it's the quality of the food. Waterside really takes the time to create a menu that will be simply unforgettable. We opted for the seafood bar which included an ABUNDANCE of unlimited cocktail shrimp. Add some lobster ravioli and mushroom risotto and that makes for the start of a very tasty evening!

SERVICE- I needed to save the best for last. From the MOMENT we walked through the door, we were greeted by nothing short of EXCEPTIONAL service. Shantal & Gus took care of us from start to finish and were simply amazing. Shantal's patience through our decision making and her advice and suggestions helped us so much in our choices for the big day. Paired with her awesome personality and great sense of humor, Shantal really took the time ensure we did not have to worry about a thing on our big day. We all wish for the most perfect wedding. And the Waterside Restaurant made that day happen for us. Thank you!!!!!!!

Our ceremony and reception at the Waterside was absolutely amazing. The view was unbelievable and the food was out of this world. Fran and her staff catered to our every need. All our guest raved about the cocktail hour (especially the duck station). The bar tenders were outstanding, everyone always had a drink in their hands. Chantelle was such a big help. She took great care of my husband and I and made sure we were able to taste all the food and enjoy our cocktail hour.

My husband (Tadji) and I cannot THANK the Waterside, especially Fran, Miguel, Chantal, and Leslie for making our wedding PERFECT!
I always dreamed of having a wedding with the NYC view and believed it would never happen, but it did! Planning our wedding was super easy with the staff because they were so professional, quick to respond to phone calls and e-mails. Fran... is amazing!!!!! She had wonderful suggestions for the big day, which made the whole event run smoothly.
My husband and I opted to have our ceremony at the Waterside and we were so fortunate to have perfect weather and the beautiful view of NYC.
The night of the wedding, Chantal and Miguel treated my husband and I like royalty. My parents kept raving throughout the night (and after the wedding) on how detailed oriented they were. All of the wait staff was professional and attentive with our family and friends.
All of our family and friends loved the food, venue, and staff! I cannot wait to see photos!

Thanks to Waterside, our wedding has been called the "best wedding" that our family and friends have "EVER been to". We are so happy with the way everything turned out from the food, the service, and the staff. The staff is so accommodating - they catered to everything we asked for and went out of their way to make the wedding phenomenal. Our guests are still raving about the quality of food, the drinks, the service, and of course the amazing view. My bridal attendant Miguel was so helpful and attentive, and working with Shantal was a wonderful experience. We were a lucky bride and groom, they made sure that we ate and drank at our own wedding. We were brought a sampling of everything during the cocktail hour and they made sure we sat and ate our dinner. Our guests were saying they have never eaten so much than they did at our wedding and it was all delicious. The night was amazing and I highly recommend the Waterside - it's worth every penny. And you cannot beat that beautiful view!

Our wedding reception at Waterside was absolutely spectacular! Waterside had everything that my husband and I were looking for in a venue- breathtaking views of the city, a modern interior, good food and drinks, and wonderful staff members.
We were so lucky to work with Frances, Lesley, and Shantal. These 3 women did such a wonderful job in making sure that we had everything that we wanted for our reception. They were all very organized and accommodating. Lesley always took the time to promptly respond to my multiple emails and answered all of my questions and concerns. Frances truly understood what my husband and I envisioned for our wedding, and she is an amazing planner. Shantal was our maitre d' during our reception. She did a fabulous job in making sure that my husband and I were able to eat, drink and dance! Shantal also made sure everything during our reception went as planned and she ensured that our guests were having a good time.
Our guests had such a wonderful time, and they really enjoyed the food! They were amazed with all of the delicious and plentiful food.
Overall, I would highly recommend Waterside to any bride that is looking for a modern venue with magnificent views of the city, good food, and wonderful staff members.

The Perfect Ricciardi/McGuire Wedding - October 2014

Why did we choose the Waterside Restaurant as the location for our wedding ceremony and reception?

First and foremost, the view of Manhattan's west side was spectacular. Especially at night. All the way from the Freedom Tower to the George Washington Bridge. As a resident of Manhattan I looked at the view and said, "This is me, this is my city." We called the next day to reserve a date.

We had the wedding ceremony outside, the cocktail hour on the second floor with floor to ceiling windows facing Manhattan, and the reception on the third floor which also had a view.

The Waterside location was convenient. Close to several hotels, shopping mall, other restaurants, and water taxis to Manhattan. And a great benefit was the Waterside had free parking.

Shantal, Leslie and Frances were there with me from the beginning to the end. And they worked well with the vendors we used. Out of the ordinary requests were never a difficulty. They cheerfully met every request with cheer and great presentation. And they never tired of my daily phone calls.

The food was tremendous. Our guests claimed our wedding was the best one they had ever attended. One relative told us they had never attended a wedding like that one.

It was special for all.

I would highly recommend the Waterside Restaurant for your wedding reception. It met and exceeded all of our expectations.

If you are looking for a modern venue with a beautiful NYC view and you have a guest list of ~200 or less, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. (Waterside can fit up to ~215 guests, but I wouldn't personally suggest it..) We had our ceremony outdoors and they set up the space exactly as we asked, they even lit the citronella candles that I had brought over because I'm allergic to mosquito bites. Our cocktail hour was held on the second floor; the reception followed on the third floor. This venue is a one-wedding-at-a-time type of place. Our guests loved the views, the atmosphere, and especially, the food! This in not a ballroom type venue which was perfect for us.

Lesley, Fran, and Shantal were all amazing to work with. Lesley and Fran handled all of the planning, emails, and nitty-gritty details - they were responsive, accommodating, and friendly. Fran also had wonderful suggestions and tips whenever we spoke which ALL worked out perfectly. Shantal was our maitre'd on our wedding day and she was perfect - she handled any problems that came up, made sure we had everything we needed, and she also gave us a quiet moment during cocktail hour away from the guests to make sure we had time to eat. Our glasses were never empty all night! Their staff was also wonderful, making sure that the ceremony went off without a hitch and they were perfect through the reception and even the after party.

From our first visit until we left after the wedding, our experience with Waterside was everything we had hoped it would be. Our friends cannot stop raving about how amazing the wedding was!

What can we say? WOW! AMAZING! FANTASTIC! WONDERFUL! THOUGHTFUL! The staff at Waterside are amazing...just amazing. Shatal, Miguel and Francis are the BEST in the business and truly made our day a huge success. Not to mention, the entire crew that worked our wedding was just the BEST. Our guests are still talking about what a fantastic time they had and how wonderful the food and service was. As a professional trained chef, I (Bride) was VERY pleased with the food selection, quality and overall taste of everything consumed.

My husband and I had the privilege of having our wedding at the Waterside on August 2nd and this venue is absolutely amazing. The only request my husband had while searching for the perfect venue, was for it to be on the Hudson with the NYC skyline. We looked at a few places before we went to the waterside and every one of them was overpriced and just wasn't for us. When we went to the Waterside, we knew right away that it was the place for our wedding! We met with Francis the first day and she went over the whole menu and what is included in the price, which let me tell you is EXTREMELY reasonable for what is included and the fantastic view of NYC. They were able to remove things from the menu that we did not want to lower the price. For every other place, the price was set in stone. Also, the food - ohhh myyyy the food!!! It was the best food I have ever had at a wedding!!! We also worked with Shantal and Lesley, who were absolutely amazing and very accommodating.
We received so many outstanding compliments from our guests. Many of which said it was the best wedding they have ever been to and how much they loved the food and the view!!
We can't thank the Waterside enough for making our day perfect!!!

Waterside Restaurant was Heaven sent to us! From the minute I called and spoke to Francis, I knew that this was the place that we were going to get married and have our reception. Francis was extremely friendly and professional and we enjoyed working with her and the restaurant during the entire process, along with Leslie and Chantell. Everyone was so friendly and accomodating and experienced. The restaurant and reception/ceremony area is absolutely stunning and breathtaking. Greeks demonstrate their virtue and goodness by extending their warmth and hospitality (philoneksía) to their guests. In Greek mythology there is a religious obligation to be hospitable to strangers. It is considered a measure of their spirituality and it is believed that treating each guest as if they were a deity in disguise would lead to good and great rewards both here on earth and in heaven.
On July 4th my wife, the former Prima Ballerina of the NJ Ballet and one of the original Balanchine girls, Kathleen Ann McCready and I the Reverend Lawrence Michael Heisler, half Greek on my mother's side, were treated to a level of philonesksia that the Gods of Greek Mythology would have reveled in. We chose the Waterside Catering in North Bergen partially because it's a beautiful wedding and party facility with breath-taking views of the New York skyline and the mighty Hudson River but more importantly because it's owners and management are warm, terrific and sincerely good people who also just happen to be meticulously consummate professionals when it comes to the Art of Catering. These folks really know how to create a major celebration and with a dignified flare. Their entire staff were warm and welcoming and performed at an extraordinarily high level with sensitivity and anticipation. I would be amiss if I didn't share many words about a great kitchen staff and about their chef that is fast becoming known as a culinary giant. The accolades from our guests about our amazing little affair have been overwhelming. Statements about the “incredible food and beverage service,” “the hospitality!” “the beautiful inspired floral environment and that “magical LED wedding room with the panoramic windows of the NY skyline!” Yes, thank you Frances, you said that it would be an extraordinary evening for our guests and you with your talented staff delivered the goods! My husband and I celebrated our 50th birthdays/ 25th wedding anniversary with a combined party at the Waterside. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing everything was! We have thrown many parties at MANY different venues and my guests were all telling me that this one was the BEST! It started with Shantal who is so professional and knows exactly how to get to know your personality and figure out what will be the best party for you and your guests. I told her I didn't want a lengthy sit down dinner and she set up the room with cocktail tables, couches, and fun furniture so it had more of a cocktail party feel. The view is breathtaking! When my guests walked in to the room, their mouths dropped in awe! I had originally wanted a rooftop bar in NYC for my party and this surpassed it by far! The food was delicious and plentiful! We had timing issues because of guests arriving late and Shantal was so easygoing about "our schedule" and adjusted it by just reading the crowd. MANY times throughout the night, she would ask me if I wanted a glass of wine or a plate of food. I didn't have to think of one thing and could just enjoy my party and my guests! If you are contemplating booking the Waterside, DO IT!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

We had our wedding a few days ago at Waterside and I need to write this review as soon as possible to let everyone know just how FABULOUS Waterside is. When we were looking for a venue with a skyline view we visited several along the hudson. All were very stuffy and overpriced. When we walked into Waterside we knew this was the place we wanted. It is clean, bright, and has a relaxed and welcoming feel.
In the year that we were planning our wedding Shantal was there to help us with ANY questions we had. She was so warm, energetic, and knowledgeable. Her and her staff went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect and it was!! We wanted an outdoor ceremony and they made sure we got one, just before the rain started to pour! They went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy. EVERYONE was raving about the food, I am still receiving calls and emails about how delicious everything was.
Overall- We would HIGHLY recommend Waterside for your wedding! The venue and staff gave us the best day ever and we could never thank them enough =)

This is the second time my family is using the Waterside venue for special events. The first was my niece's 1st birthday party (which was like a wedding in itself) and just two weekends ago, I had my wedding there and it couldn't of been more perfect. We had the ceremony outside by the water, the cocktail hour on the second floor where you could see the entire city with great views and then followed with the reception upstairs. My friends, coworkers and families were all raving about how modern and beautiful the space was and THE FOOD!!! I worked with Francis initially and followed up with Chantelle later for all the details. Having already performed so many weddings at the venue, all the minor details you would never think of were like second nature to them. From the timeline of what the day would look like to the outcome, my husband and I couldn't of been more pleased. So my husband and I found this venue and fell in love with it. We fell in love with the New York view but the venue was also beautiful very modern and the staff were. Our guest raved about the food and how many options were available to them during the cocktail hour. We worked with Shantal she was great anytime we had questions or wanted to come in and create a table with our own tablecloths she was always available to us. On the big day she took care of us and made sure everything ran smoothy. Our guest loved the venue everything was beautiful Thanks to Shantal and the whole team at Waterside Restaurant & Catering

Waterside Restaurant and Catering gave my husband and me what truly was the best day of our lives. Waterside was the first venue we visited when we started planning our wedding, and my husband said right away that it would be the one we would choose. I checked out a few other venues and, with each one, quickly came to the conclusion that none would compare. We were looking for a city view first and foremost, and Waterside provides everything you could ask for in terms of that – from the GWB to the Freedom Tower and everything in between, you can see it all, with only the Hudson River between. Besides the breathtaking view of the city, Waterside also has the greatest, most responsive staff. Frances and Chantal were always available at a moment’s notice with answers to our questions throughout our engagement, and on the day of the wedding they worked so hard, with a smile, to ensure that everything we needed was taken care of. The venue itself is gorgeous – fun, modern, and elegant. We also had our ceremony there, and because of the weather that day it was moved inside. I thought this might disappoint me, but the indoor setup and views from inside are so beautiful that it didn’t faze us one bit. And the food was incredible both in quantity and quality – our guests thought the cocktail hour was dinner because there was so much! There is something for everyone, and it’s all absolutely delicious. Both during and after the reception, so many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to; we are still getting compliments on everything. But the real compliments should go to Waterside Restaurant and Catering. From start to finish, it was the perfect day at the best venue we could have imagined.

My wedding at Waterside was amazing and exceeded all of my expectations! Due to the rainy weather the ceremony was inside, which ended up being just beautiful! The guests are still raving about the quantity AND quality of food at cocktail hour; it's definitely the best I have ever seen! My wedding was about 130 people, which was an absolute perfect size for the reception room with plenty of space for dancing. Shantal and the whole team were accommodating, attentive, very prompt in responding and making sure all my requests were taken care of. Thank you for one of the best, happiest, most fun days I could have ever imagined!

I barely can do anything in life at this point without reading reviews about restaurants, vacation destinations, hotels, etc. and when planning my wedding the first item I focused on (using the internet of course)was finding a venue. I knew I wanted my wedding in Northern New Jersey and I knew I wanted a place that was modern and not the overly traditional styled venue. I read reviews about Waterside and everyone had nothing but great things to say. I am typically suspicious when reviewers have nothing but 5's across the board when rating a vendor but indeed Waterside exceeded all of my expectations and I am so thankful that I choose this venue. So yes they truly deserve 5's across the board. Here are a few reasons why:
1. Lesley Lovett. Lesley was my main point of contact throughout the process. She is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, organized, and ALWAYS got back to me with answers to a lot of random questions I had. That was great and gave me piece of mind.
2. The venue is so pretty. Modern, clean, and views of the Hudson river.
3. The food. My guests are still talking about how amazing the food was. So many options for cocktail hour and the reception. There is nothing wrong with serving chicken at a reception but I did not want chicken! My guest loved all of the other options provided and the portions were plentiful and tasty.
4. Shantal. Shantal was my Maitre D' for my wedding day. I met Shantal before my wedding when I had to drop off my deposit, when I needed place cards, and arrange my tables and she was also always so helpful. On my wedding day she made sure I was ok and got everything I needed which I really appreciated because there was so much going on.
5. The overall staff at Waterside. Again everyone was so helpful and professional. I had to opportunity to meet Frances and Miguel and it really makes a difference when everyone is in the loop with your event and want to ensure that everything goes perfectly. Which it did!

As parents of the Bride, we will remember this night forever! Shantal did EVERYTHING to make sure the night was perfect from the moment we signed the contract!!!!

I could have never imagined the amazing wedding the Waterside gave to us. Shantal, Gus & Frances went above & beyond for us. I can hardly put into words how magical our wedding was! From the beautiful ceremony to a blow-you-away cocktail hour to the hands down best reception I've ever seen, the Waterside staff could not have been more accommodating. One week later and we are still hearing how amazing the wedding was from friends & family. I highly recommend Waterside for any bride looking for a venue in the NYC/North Jersey area! We were married on April 7, 2013. We were looking for a venue that was reasonably priced with excellent food and great service. We were not disappointed. Throw in the fact that it has a beautiful view of the skyline of New York,was an added bonus. We were pleased that The Waterside had an elevator that allowed our elderly guests to reach both the floor that the cocktail hour would be held and the floor where the reception would be held. We had the pleasure of meeting our wedding coordinator Lesley who was an absolute pleasure to work with. She gave us a tour of the facility, reviewed all of the menu options answered all of our questions. She showed us the fact that a piano was available for us to make use of in the room that the cocktail hour would be held. From the time that we booked the wedding until just before the big day we had dozens of questions that came up and Lesley handled them in a prompt, courteous, and professional way.

On the day of the wedding we were extremely impressed with our maître d Shantal and how attentive she was to every detail. Our guests were greeted with champagne and escorted to the cocktail hour room. Once there they were treated to an assortment of delicious foods some served buffet style but many butler style. Our guests raved about how delicious the food was. They enjoyed their cocktail hour food while a pianist played music in the center of the floor.

The only thing that exceeded the quality of the food in the cocktail hour was the quality of the food in the reception hall. The reception hall was an elegant room with beautiful view of the skyline of New York. Our guests still rave over the wonderful time they had. They rave about the great food, the amazing service and wonderful ambiance. We loved the Waterside so much that we have gone to dinner there a number of times and in particular on our one year anniversary. We highly recommend the Waterside to all couples planning a wedding.

I want to say THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH to Lesley, Shantal and the whole team for making my day one of the most happy, fun, organize and awesome that I could ever have. I had a small wedding 85 people, since day one everything was clear on what I was getting, schedules, and always got a response when I had questions...they gave me few ideas of what to do with the space and at the end everything looked GORGEOUS. Shantal was so attentive on the day of the wedding, she was on top of everything, the waitress/waiters they were great and very professional, everyone was very happy and they cater to everyone with a lot of care. The food... It was GREAT and they made sure I ate... (future bride you need to eat), I was dancing the whole time!!!... I wanted to get the wedding outside, but mother nature didn't cooperate, but I have to say, INSIDE was great! I was not disappointed at all... I still was able to do some shots outside, and I just can't wait to see them. I went to few places looking for a venue, and since I open the door, I said this is the place I want to get married. Thank you again Waterside... I can't wait to celebrate many more parties in your awesome location!

The New Jersey Business Travel Association held their annual Fundraiser Gala at the Waterside Restaurant on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 and it was a highly successful event due in large part to the wonderful staff and catering skills of the Waterside staff. Owner Frances V. worked in collaboration with the association's gala committee to create a spectacular culinary evening in their beautiful venue with the back-drop of the NYC skyline -- what could be better than that?!! I highly recommend the Waterside for all your catering needs and due to the wonderful experience I had with the Gala, I'm now planning an intimate corporate event in the Waterside Restaurant in April. The friendly and professional staff coupled with the delicious menu and large selection of fine wines and premium liquors makes the Waterside an exceptional destination for any event whether large or small.

We had our wedding at Waterside on December 8th, 2013. It was a dream come true. The ceremony was on the 3rd floor where the room is beautiful with the background of NYC. It was definitely a WOW effect for all of our guests. The room is so elegant that it was perfect for our ceremony pictures. The staff was amazing! Very attentive. I never had to ask them to do anything twice and everything I wanted was ready before I got there. The food was excellent and everyone loved it. You definitely get the best pictures outside. I did daytime, sunset and night pictures and all of them look beyond perfect. Frances (owner of Waterside) was very helpful in all of my wedding planning. She went above and beyond and made our wedding even better than we expect it. I would definitely recommend Waterside Restaurant and Catering for your wedding.

My husband and I are truly happy that we chose the Waterside for our wedding. The staff is excellent, Chantel is great, super helpful, sweet and catered to everything that was asked of. The food was amazing!!! Everyone can not stop talking about it! The view is gorgeous! My pics came out gorgeous with the view! Only complaint is, between tables & bars it was a bit tight. Only because I had #200 guests, we needed to accomodate. But if your in the 150's it should be fine. All in all, definetly would recommend this venue! Ps. Theh even hooked us up after the wedding with a vip area in the lounge are, if you and some of the guests aren't ready to go yet. :]

Waterside Restaurant hosted our bridal show. At our bridal show last week at Waterside Restaurant & Catering, the staff, food and facilities were, as always, exceptional. We hold dozens of events each year and each time we are at Waterside we are impressed.

We consistently find that in working with us to set up and run the event the staff is incredibly knowledge, professional, and friendly. This terrific service makes it a pleasure to hold a truly remarkable event.

Each time we have been there, the facilities have been immaculate from the lavish white furnishings to the stunning sheer glass widow walls overlooking the Hudson River and the New York City skyline.

And, the food has been a tremendous hit with every guest. The service staff are incredibly pleasant and the food is plentiful, delicious and lavishly displayed,

Our most sincere thanks to Frances, Lesley, Shantal, George and the entire staff who work so hard time and time again to flawlessly present a wonderful event.

We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding reception! Not only is the place gorgeous with breathtaking views of the city, but the staff at the Waterside is top notch! Our wedding was the day after a blizzard, when everything could have gone wrong Fran and Shantal made sure everything was fine. They took the stress out of the day for us so we could focus on what was important.

From the start Fran was a pleasure to work with. She helped us make important decisions about seating and food choices. The entire staff was quick to respond with any questions or concerns we had.

On the day of the event everything looked perfect and the day couldn't have been any smoother. Last but not least the food was amazing! Our guests were blown away with the variety and how great everything tasted. We have no regrets choosing the Waterside as our wedding venue! There is absolutely nothing we would change regarding our Wedding Ceremony & Reception ! The owners Fran & Gus & their Professional & Efficient Staff were absolutely wonderful. Our family & friends have been calling us non-stop to compliment us on our memorable wedding & the choice of venue. Our ceremony was extremely romantic, the pictures outside were spectacular, we had an abundant cocktail hour & an exceptional dinner & reception. Our guests were also impressed with the variety & speed of the Bartenders not to mention our exquisite signature drink "French Martini" . We highly recommend Waterside Caterers to anyone desiring an Elegant & Modern location with spectacular views of the New York skyline & high quality of service, food & drinks. Wow, the story of how everything fell into place is truly a fairytale. Francis, Shantal and their amazing team made our wedding a dream come true. They were so attentive not only to me and my husband, but to all of our guests as well. We had so many compliments about the venue, presentation of the cocktail hour and most importantly of the responsiveness of the staff. If you book your wedding with WaterSide - you absolutely don't need a wedding planner. I was able to book, video & photographer, DJ and my florist from their list of vendor recommendations and they all were able to give us great quality within out budget! Love, love, love the waterside! I will be booking them for future events as well :)

Event coordinator Shantal Videla, provided exceptional service to us and went out of her way to make our shower a success. She ensured perfection and went above and beyond to fulfill our needs. On the day of our event she was constantly checking in to see if we were ok. The staff were all great, very courteous and willing to help in anyway. Awesome venue with great food!

When my Husband & I were searching for the perfect wedding venue, we had high expectations, but most importantly we wanted to pick a venue where we felt ourselves as well as our guests would be treated like family, & receive outstanding service.
As soon as we walked into the Waterside, my husband & I were blown away by the beautiful layout, the amazing views, & the professional and very friendly staff who greeted us.
We were introduced to Shantel, who was going to be our wedding coordinator, she answered every single question we had with ease.
She was sweet, informative & knowledgeable about every aspect of her position. I knew we were in good hands.
Shantel, & the stunning views of the NY skyline were the sealing deal for me & my husband.

The entire staff was professional, top notch, & paid attention to the slightest detail.
The food was amazing, & the bakery Shantel suggested we use exceeded any expectation we had.
I cant tell you how grateful I am to the staff.
Shantel is such an amazing person, who will take any brides dreams and make it a reality. She was always there every step of the planning process, emailed & called me back promptly, & took all the stress away.
She pays attention to detail and delivers!
I would have been lost without Shantel in my corner. Waterside has a gem and her names Shantel.

If your looking for a venue that will deliver in service, professionalism, a warm and friendly inviting environment with beautiful views and amazing food, The Waterside is a place you need to visit.

We had our wedding in this gorgeous place, the view is breath taking , the service is very professional and the food is delicious. We were so lucky with our choice. Everything turned out to be the way we desired for our big day. Chantel , the service manager, is very nice . She discussed all the wedding details with us in advance and made sure every thing is set up the way we want it. She also coordinated with the DJ to follow the wedding plan. I highly recommend this place .
