We had our wedding at The Watermill in Smithtown, and it was truly perfect from start to finish. The service was outstanding — every single person we interacted with went above and beyond to make our day smooth, beautiful, and stress-free.
Our room was absolutely gorgeous, and the entire venue felt warm, elegant, and thoughtfully prepared. Rob and his team were incredible to work with throughout the planning and coordination process. They made everything so easy, kept us organized, and ensured every detail of our event ran flawlessly.
On the day of, Shawn, Olivia, and the staff were amazing. They were attentive, compassionate, and seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even asked. The whole team worked together seamlessly, and we genuinely felt cared for the entire time.
And the food… phenomenal. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about how delicious everything was.

My husband and I got married at the Watermill three weeks ago and are still completely blown away by our experience. In May 2024, just two weeks after getting engaged, we walked into the Watermill, planning for it to be the first venue we toured. After our meeting with Rob and seeing the property, we instantly knew it would also be the last. Rob made our initial visit unforgettable. He’s personable, professional, and genuinely made an effort to connect with us. We booked our wedding that very same day, and before we knew it, the big day was here. Our cocktail hour and reception were nothing short of magical. The Watermill is an absolute masterpiece in every sense—stunning atmosphere, exceptional service, and the best food we’ve ever had at a wedding (and we’re not just saying that because it was ours!). Our guests have been raving about the food ever since. From the endless cocktail hour options to the nine entrée choices during dinner, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Beyond the food, the staff truly made the night unforgettable. I felt cared for every step of the way. Christina and Francesca, my incredible bridal attendants, made sure I always had a drink in hand, food on my plate, and even helped me change my shoes when my feet started to hurt. A flawless and truly amazing experience
We recently celebrated our daughter's wedding at The Watermill, and we were absolutely thrilled with the entire experience. It was a flawless day from start to finish, and the credit goes entirely to their exceptional team.
Our journey began with Rob Drago, who helped us plan the event. Rob was professional, knowledgeable, and guided us with such ease—he made the entire planning process simple and stress-free.
On the day itself, our Maitre d', Sean, was truly masterful. He ran the event with polished expertise and an incredible calm. Sean, along with our wonderful attendants, Jessica and Antonia, addressed every single one of our needs with such subtlety. They were always one step ahead, making sure not just our family, but every single guest, felt welcomed and perfectly cared for.
And we must rave about the food! It was truly outstanding. From the cocktail hour to the main course, everything was prepared and presented beautifully, drawing constant praise from all our guests.

Absolutely Magical!
What can I even say about The Watermill? Our entire experience, from the very beginning to the last dance, was beyond anything we could have imagined!
From the moment we met Rob, we knew we were in the best hands. He took over and made us feel like family right away, and that sense of care and connection never wavered. Every question we had, every little detail, we knew we could count on him. His knowledge and experience are unmatched, and we trusted him completely throughout the planning process which provided us with a much-needed sense of comfort.
When the big day arrived, it was nothing short of magic, truly. The entire team at The Watermill delivered an exceptional experience that felt effortless, seamless, and so full of love and care.
Our bridal attendant, Olivia, was an absolute gem. She was so natural, so attentive, and truly tuned into every need I had without me ever having to ask. She made such a difference during the entire evening and I'm so thankful we had her.
Our Maitre'D, Nick, was phenomenal. He was calm, collected, and totally in control. He was the first person out to our party bus when we arrived and didn't skip a beat from that moment on. The evening flowed perfectly because of him and we really enjoyed having him in control of our big day. Like Rob, his experience and knowledge is unmatched. He is so great at what he does.
Our captain, Dom, worked effortlessly behind the scenes, ensuring everyone was on the same page and that my husband and I had everything we needed. He was amazing!
We brought everything we needed ahead of time, and when we arrived, it was all set up exactly as I envisioned, without me lifting a finger. After 10 months of planning, that peace of mind was priceless and it was exactly what I needed. I did not have to use a single brain cell because of this team, and I was able to truly enjoy my wedding day and be in the moment the whole time.
The food was absolutely incredible and never-ending. The cocktail hour was overflowing with options, and we had 9 dinner entrees for guests to choose from (something we’d never seen at any other venue).
We are overall beyond thankful for The Watermill and their amazing team for not just understanding our vision, but truly bringing it to life in a way we’ll never forget. The icing on the cake was how everything was packed up so nicely for us to pick up the next day. They even saved the top of our wedding cake for us and left a beautiful message on the box. I cried reading it. Their attention to detail is just out of this world! If I could relive this day a hundred times over, I would—with this exact team, every single time.
There are no words to fully describe how perfect our day was and we can't thank the Watermill enough for making us feel so valued and important throughout it all! One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was having it at The Watermill!

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! We had our wedding at the end of November and it was set up with space heaters to keep warm. Cocktail hour had endless stations, all so delicious. So many of our guests continue to compliment the cocktail hour weeks after our wedding. We had our reception in the Vanderbilt room, newly renovated with an outdoor area outside just in time for our day. The staff was excellent, they made sure everything was perfect, always had food, a drink and anything we needed ready for us. Rob was amazing to work with, he made every step of the was fun and easy. He catered to everything we envisioned on our day. We can't thank all of the staff enough for an amazing day!!

Watermill - Magical!!
MAGICAL!!! I truly cannot put into words how incredibly beautiful my wedding was at The Watermill!! The Venue both inside and outside is absolutely spectacular. I was lucky enough to have my ceremony outside and could not believe how lush the grounds were and the beautiful florals everywhere. All of my guests raved about Cocktail Hour and how delicious the food was. The Watermill went above and beyond working with me to ensure that everything was exactly how I wanted it. The Watermill made our wedding dreams come true!
My wife and I could not possibly say enough about The Watermill. To say they made all of our wedding dreams come true, would be a tremendous understatement. The staff, from top to bottom, went above and beyond to be generous, accommodating, and exceed high expectations. Robert and Sean’s efforts as manager and maitre’d were absolute top tier; they acted as if it were their own children celebrating their wedding. We have also conferred with guests at every table, all of whom state the service was exceptional and everyone was satisfied every moment from start to finish. The bartenders easily managed our very many guests with ease, at no point was there a line of guests waiting to be served. Our bridal attendant, Christina, was truly phenomenal. As a busy bride and groom, she sought after all of our needs and catered to every request. She absolutely deserves all of our praise. We have been to many weddings as a couple, many at renowned venues stemming across multiple parts of the country. Absolutely nobody could match the service and food that The Watermill provides. The cocktail hour and dinner was of a superior class; our guests could not believe how delicious and well prepared the food was. From the hors d’oeuvres to the dessert and everything in between, we could not be more impressed. My wife and I will recommend The Watermill for the rest of our lives. It is a beautiful establishment with a hardworking and friendly staff. We are so incredibly grateful for The Watermill and making our dream wedding come true.

Best Service at Watermill Caterers
We had our wedding on 4/20/24 at the Watermill and it was the most perfect day.
Starting with our very first conversations with Brian to the seamless execution on the day of, everything went perfectly as planned. Brian worked with us to fine tune all of the specifics for our special day and made himself available at all times to answer our thousands of questions.
On the day of the wedding, we were introduced to Johnny (Matre D), Erika (Bridal Attendant) & Nelson (Captain) and they truly went above and beyond to make everything perfect. We have never felt so special/been surrounded with such amazing service. They were always five steps ahead of us ensuring everything was running smoothly and most of all, that we were happy – which we were for the entire day.
We are so thrilled that we decided to go with the Watermill as they made our special day absolutely amazing. We cannot recommend this venue enough!

3/29/24 Wedding
I had my wedding at Watermill Caterers on 3/29/24 and I have to say it was the wedding of my dreams. Since the beginning when booking with Brian the whole experience has been nothing but amazing. All questions were answered quickly and Brian was extremely helpful. Nick was our maître D and I have to say he went above and beyond our expectations. He was extremely helpful, had our wedding extremely organized and on time. I can’t thank Nick enough! we had Christina and Dominic as our bridal attendees. Christina was absolutely fantastic! She made sure everyone was taken care of and it just blew my mind how much she was involved with making sure everything ran smoothly. She even bustled my dress! Dominic was great as well he made sure the drinks were flowing! The food was outstanding! Till this day my guests are still raving about the food and are stating that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! That is all thanks to the Watermill and the wonderful staff! From the start of our booking our special day with Brian Fingerman, to our finals appointments, showcase events, planning, and finally to the best day of our lives, Brian was there every single step of the way. He was even present to congratulate us on our wedding day and EVEN after our wedding to make sure every detail was taken care of. Besides Brian, the entire staff at the Watermill from our Maitre d Sean, to our bridal attendant Morgan were all beyond professional and made our day truly seamless! The most perfect evening!
I’m not normally one to write reviews but I just HAD to give it up for Watermill Caterers! We had our ceremony and reception at Watermill in March 2024. Everything was perfect! Not a single thing went wrong! They truly listen to what you envision for your big day and execute it perfectly! Our bridal attendant Christina was completely on top of everything, I never had to lift a finger or worry about anything! Johnny our “captain” was so wonderful and down to earth! He helped make sure everything ran smoothly! Our maître d Nick kept all of the night’s events perfectly scheduled! Watermill is a well-oiled machine! You will not be disappointed booking your wedding here! Be sure to book with the sales person Robert! He was so kind and welcoming, answering any texts and questions we had! The food was incredible! Every entree got raving reviews from our guests! The building and grounds are so well- maintained that you have nothing to worry about for your pictures!

Best Day Ever
We got married here on 10/22. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and that’s mostly in thanks to the amazing staff. From the first day I went in and met with Rob until the actually day of the wedding every staff member we dealt with was amazing and helpful. Rob was awesome the entire time and we were so happy to see him on our wedding day to help celebrate. All of the staff the day of the wedding were the best (especially my bridal attendant Jessica - who I should have listened to more 😃). The food was amazing. My husband still raves about the oxtails and how big they were. Our guests continue to tell us how great all the food was and that they couldn’t believe how much food there was. The venue itself is gorgeous inside and out. We were happy that we were able to take advantage of both. We again want to thank everyone at the Watermill for helping us have the best day. If you are thinking about having your event here I highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.

I cannot express my gratitude enough for everything the watermill did to go above and beyond to make sure me and my husband’s wedding was nothing short of perfection. Even leading up and planning the wedding with Brian, it was an absolute pleasure and a very smooth stress free process. I also cannot thank Nick, Jessica & Christina (maître d & the bridal assistants) enough for everything they have done. There was such a strong sense of genuine care about us and how our day was going. Attending to every beck and call and did it with smiles on their faces the entire night. The Watermill made our dreams come true!
So let me begin by saying how great of an experience I had at the Watermill! I got married last Monday, October 9th. And honestly, I can’t stop raving about how amazing my wedding was. But it all started with one phone call, I spoke with Brian, who is one of the nicest people ever. I told him that my finance and I were searching for a venue, but we were on a budget. He chuckled and said he completely understood and would love to meet us. So, we made an appointment to meet with him. At the moment that I was walking in, a bride was walking out and stopped me in my tracks to tell me how great her wedding was and how much I would love it if I had my wedding there. We continued with our appointment and was walked around by Brian through the beautiful cocktail hour room and then he showed us outside where people can get married. It was breath taking, the watermill, the gazebo, the grounds really are beautiful. Then we went back inside with Brian who showed us the menu options for the reception and the cocktail hour menu. He offered us a great deal and said, “now go on and think about it.” He truly treated us like family because he wanted us to decide together calmly, not just in the heat of the moment. Obviously, we said YES! We went through all the steps and planned our wedding with Brian who also got us our DJ. Who was fantastic as well! Amanda from in the mood DJ was such a sweetheart and so supportive of all of our wishes for our wedding. I couldn’t be more thankful for Brian introducing us, they worked together to make our special day one that we can remember for the rest of our lives. When our day came, we had Bella as a bridal attendant and Sean as a Matre’d. Bella met me at the door of the watermill to take me into my room. She was so sweet, she literally became my best friend that day, she walked us around all day before and after the ceremony. And Sean was probably the most “on point” person I’ve ever met. Sean has worked at the watermill for 26 years and literally could run my wedding in his sleep. He was beyond professional and gave our wedding his full attention all day. He even made it his job to make sure our parents had everything they needed the entire night. He was so sweet and made us feel like we had nothing to worry about all day. He made sure my finance was calm and ready to get his wife before the ceremony and truly became our friend in no time. I could keep going, but lastly, as a professional chef, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how amazing the food was. Every family member we spoke to couldn’t stop bragging about how great cocktail hour was. I even told Brian, “Aren’t 9 menu items a lot for a reception menu” and he said, “trust me”. That’s all we needed to hear. We trusted each other and couldn’t be happier. Every menu item was cooked excellently. We loved it. Today, Thursday, I had to go and get everything that we dropped off for the wedding; Brian met us at the door with Sean and gave us a big hug and hello and helped us fill up our car and continued to thank us and tell us how much they loved working with us. So, this is my thank you to them. Brian, Sean, Bella, all the staff at the Watermill and In the Mood DJ; thank you for our day a day that exceeded our expectations and dreams of what our wedding could have been! We love you all!

Book The Watermill!! Best decision ever!!
The Watermill was wonderful to us. We worked with Loraine, Chris, and Nick was our Maitre'd. Loraine was PHENOMENAL. She is incredibly approachable, flexible, and she hustled and wheeled and dealed for us beyond what we could possibly imagined. She is THE BEST. Chris is knowledgeable and very quick with communication. Nick is passionate and professional. He will advocate for you without hesitation and has zero tolerance for any nonsense that could potentially take away from making your day special. Nick and his team had our backs in every way. (When I get nervous I tend to shuffle side to side like a little dance) without questioning it my bridal attendant just walked up next to me and started nonchalantly swaying too and made it totally comfortable even though we literally just met. The venue itself is gorgeous. We booked an outdoor ceremony but got rained out. Everything got flawlessly transferred in doors and the chapel was STUNNING. Every single one of our guests commented in awe about how beautiful the chapel is. The cocktail hour was incredible. Everyone LOVED the food they were just raving endlessly about the amount of options and how delicious everything was!! Our reception was an absolute dream. My feet were killing me and the "wedding sneakers" I had bought for dancing were accidentally left at the hotel. I swear I don't know where my bridal attendant hid her cape under her uniform because she SAVED ME!! We had a perfect wedding!!!
This venue was amazing from start to finish. We met with Brian during the planning process and he was extremely helpful and generous the whole time. When planning, since it was both our second weddings, I said I didn’t want a hall. We saw a few places but when we stepped into The Watermill we fell in love with it!! We loved the relaxed feeling, the amazing aromas, the gorgeous gardens, the spacious feeling, the friendly staff, the endless amount of food!!!! We still have people raving about the food! We had several add ons and even the staff commented that they never saw so much food served at a wedding! When arriving we were greeted by our Maitre’d Sean and Bridal Attendant Morgan. They never left our side all night. They helped with every little detail and made sure our drinks were always full, our napkins were on our laps, made sure our kids and family were happy and that we were having a great time!! Morgan even helped my Mom with her shoe and found tape to put on it so it would stop rubbing. They were amazing! We took pictures outside before the ceremony and they brought out a ton of food for the bridal party and family! They were all starving so this was great!! There was also food and champagne in our bridal suite! We did a run through rehearsal and Sean whisked us away so we wouldn’t be seen by anyone. We had amazing weather so were able to enjoy our beautiful ceremony and cocktail hour outside. The amount of food at cocktail hour was insane! We didn’t get to walk around much as we were greeting guests but from what I saw and pictures people took, the food just didn’t stop! It was the best mix of everything and the stations were set up in such a fun way! The guests loved it. They were all full already!! But more food was waiting!! Next came the reception in the Vanderbilt Room. We had 200 people and still had plenty of space to move around. That was important to me. The bar was never packed as they had several people working it. I didn’t eat much that night but they did pack it up for me to eat later and it was delicious. Our guests could not get over the amount of choices they had for their dinner. They’ve never seen anything like that before. Everyone said it was great. We chose the Viennese hour for dessert and wow!!!! My husband and I sat at our table and enjoyed watching everyone go around picking dessert. I can’t even explain all the amazing choices they provided! It was beyond what we could have imagined!! The whole dance floor was surrounded by tables of amazing desserts!! And let’s not forget the donut wall and hot pretzels on the way out!! I cannot rave enough about The Watermill and the staff!! If you are getting married here you are in excellent hands. They are experts at what they do. From booking, to drop off, to the day of, everything was flawless and I couldn’t have asked for anything better!! It was without a doubt the best wedding!!!

Christina the bridal attendant was very attentive and did her best to make the experience smooth. Nick was well organized made things run smoothly and helped with the many stresses of the day of. Things slowed smoothly from set up to clean up.

If you want to be treated like royalty on your wedding day, you need to have it at the Watermill. Their service is like no other. They will do anything and everything for their brides. Best venue ever!
Since the start of our planning, the Watermill has always been responsive to any concerns. Towards the end, we worked a lot with Kaitlynn who alleviated any worries there were. On the day of our wedding the staff were all incredible! They were at our beck and call the entire night and every desire was met. Even the Waite staff were amazing. My nephew who has a mental disorder was being very picky over his meal and refused anything out of the various meals on the menu. Instead of telling him he needed to pick one, they gently asked him what he does like and without a hesitation cooked up his favorite meal. I cannot say enough about this venue, they are simply amazing!

First and foremost everything was excellent !! Words cannot describe the level of professionalism that was delivered towards us. From the moment we decided to go with the Watermill we knew it was for us - it felt like home. Our every need was met, they went above and beyond our expectations. Couldn’t ask for a better venue and day!
When we booked the Watermill for our wedding in November 2020 I knew that I made the right choice. We booked with Tom who unfortunately passed away a few months before our wdddung. I was so nervous as I really did not have a contact person and he had been so helpful along the way. Our final appointment with met with Kaitlynn and honestly I left feeling so relieved. She made me feel comfortable and leading up to the big day always answered my questions. From the drop off appointment to day of, she literally was there for me day of. I forgot one of my wedding shoes day of (to change into for reception) right before my reception & Kaitlynn literally went out to buy me shoes- cute ones nonetheless !!! She is amazing and you are in good hands with her. The Watermill truly is top notch in every way my maitre d nick as well as bridal attendant Christina were the best of the best as well- my family and bridal party complimenting how amazing they were as well! The food, service and atmosphere all outstanding. Everyone keeps talking about it!!! ❤️

Absolute BEST venue on Long Island!!!
The Watermill and all of its staff above and beyond exceeded our expectations!!! We had the joy and pleasure of knowing and working with Tom, who sadly passed a few weeks prior to our wedding. We were devastated and heartbroken to know he would not be with us to see not only our vision but his vision come to life. We were nervous to work with a new manager at the last hour but WE WERE BLESSED to have been given Kaitlynn!! From our first meeting we instantly bonded and knew we were in amazing hands once again!! From start to finish, she was by our side and our day was better for it. Not to mention she is a rockstar with a bottle of OxiClean!! She saved my dress!
Kaitlynn, along with Nick (matre’d) and Christina (bridal attendant) rocked the night and made our wedding a DREAM COME TRUE!! No words can thank them enough!!!

RUN DON’T WALK to The Watermill because they knocked it out of the park!!! Words cannot describe how perfect our wedding day was!! Tom was the reason we booked this venue, and he held our hands through every silly question to the very end. We had the pleasure of working with Nick and Christina as our Maitre’d and bridal attendant, and they were nothing short of outstanding! The Watermill is HANDS DOWN the best venue you can get married at. The entire venue is absolutely beautiful and spotless. Jeanine, the bridal attendant, is absolutely amazing!! Both my fiance and I loved her and even our families and bridal party (both guys and girls) had wonderful things to say about her. Our captain and Maitre'd were also phenomenal and made our night run SO smoothly. My guests even had compliments about the valet (we had a few people in wheelchairs and scooters, and they said the valet was EXCELLENT with helping them). We even received compliments about the woman who was working at the front desk!! No matter who you speak with at the Watermill, you are in the best hands.
The cocktail hour - none other compares!!!! There are so many options included, and for dinner???? 8 options??? Who has ever heard of that at a wedding. So many people complimented the food and were raving about it. Many people even said that usually wedding food isn't that great, but our food was phenomenal.
All of my guests at some point at the end of the night, or the next days after, reached out to tell me that it was actually the best wedding they have ever been to.

The Watermill was the first venue we looked at and after meeting with Tom L we knew we needed to have our wedding here. He really made us feel like family immediately after stepping foot inside and the venue is STUNNING especially the outside area. We felt the pricing was very reasonable compared to other venues on the island. Our maitre’d was Sean and bridal attendant was Christina they were so attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly. Every time I turned around I had a drink in my hand and food was brought to our bridal suite in between pictures to make sure we ate. The food was incredible we got so many compliments from our guests and everyone was amazed at all the dinner options as well as the amount of food at cocktail hour. I wish we could get married there all over again everything was so perfect. Huge thank you to the staff at the Watermill for an absolutely amazing day.

Seriously perfect.
We just got married at the Watermill on 9/3/21, and it was the most perfect day. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly, and according to plan , so that my husband and I didn’t have to worry about anything and just enjoy our day. Our guests keep telling us it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. From day one , Enzo and Tom took great care of us , both were very attentive and listened to all the details we wanted. Nick was our maitre’d , and he was fantastic. We felt very comfortable letting him run the show. Jessica was my bridal attendant,and she was so sweet and helpful all night. I can not say enough great things about the whole Watermill staff ; I even received great compliments from my guests about the wait staff and bartenders. Top Notch!
After my husband and I got engaged, we were on the hunt for the perfect venue for our big day. Every couple has their own personal list of “must have’s” for their big day and ours went as follows: GREAT food, beautiful ceremony space, stunning grounds/gardens for photos and all of the people we love in the same place to celebrate our love. When I tell you that Watermill over delivered, that is certainly an understatement. Having two big Italian families, food was of the utmost importance. Our friends and families are STILL raving about the food. From cocktail, to reception, Watermill knocked it out of the park! We got some rain on our big day (good luck I know) so we were unable to use the outdoor ceremony space or the grounds but when I tell you the photos of the indoor ceremony space are STUNNING! My bridal attendant Christina knew exactly what I needed/wanted before I even did, she was an intricate part of my day and I cannot tell you how incredible she was! The maître d' and the rest of the staff were TOP NOTCH! Please trust me when I say you will not be disappointed entrusting your big day to this venue. We highly recommend to all!

Perfect Venue!
The Watermill was amazing. I loved the aesthetic of both the indoor and outdoor parts of the venue. The guests RAVED about the food and were shocked when there was also dinner after Happy Hour! Staff were extremely helpful in walking us through each step. Also better priced and much prettier than many other venues we checked out, including well-known country clubs on the island.
Literally my only complaint is that I was told I would have 2 bridal attendants and only had 1. I had a few problems throughout the night with things like my bustle and food, and it would've been helpful if there were 2 sets of hands on deck (as I sometimes had trouble finding my bridal attendant). Just something to ask about/verify. The staff were absolutely amazing though!

1-11-20 Bride here! From the moment we toured the Watermill to the minute our wedding ended, the entire process was perfect. The staff is so easy to work with, responsive, and passionate about weddings! I am a huge over-planner and type-A personality, but they literally eased any worry I had. They were so confident and reassuring throughout the whole process and completely brought my vision to life. They accommodated every need, request and DIY thing I had.
Our guests were blown away by the cocktail hour - they thought it was the actual dinner! They kept raving about all the delicious food in general. The Christmas decor was kept up for me and was the perfect touch to my winter wedding. I also can't say enough about the Chapel room. It's so gorgeous and I loved that they didn't have to convert a room twice to host the ceremony. The whole venue has such a beautiful, fresh, modern design and in our photos, it creates just a stunning background in every single picture!
There was one other wedding going on upstairs and you literally never would have known 2 weddings were going on at one time. The place is honestly an amazing well-oiled machine who know what they're doing!!
We got a "heatwave" in January of 65 degrees, so guests were able to go outside where it's just stunningly lit up at night. I could ramble on here forever, but the bottom line is, if you have any gut feeling about this place, just book it. It was the best decision we made!! The day could not have been more smooth and beautiful and perfect!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Wedding of my dreams
I was skeptical at first because I hated the idea of a catering hall wedding, but it ended up feeling like anything but that!! We had our reception in the upstairs room with the outdoor area, we had our ceremony in the garden and Tom was our manager, everything was absolutely perfect!! We were worried that we would hear traffic outside during the ceremony but we didn’t hear a single car and neither did our guests. The newly renovated garden area was a perfect mix of rustic and modern. The guests to this day can not stop raving about how amazing the food was especially at cocktail hour. We got the seafood boat which was 100% worth every penny! The bridal attendant, captain, maitre d, manager, everyone was so attentive but not over bearing. I didn’t ha e to ask or wait for a thing, and I got to enjoy every minute of my wedding!!

My wedding was on 11/9/19. I cannot express enough how perfect my wedding turned out to be! From the moment we walked in, we were taken care of in every step of the way. Tom Wright, Tom Lauterborn, Kaitlyn are the best to work with and extremely patient!! Johnny V was my maitre D & Christina was my bridal attendant. Words cannot express how phenomenal they were!! My husband and I are so grateful to have met such a professional, authentic and attentive staff. There were a few hiccups prior to the ceremony (not the Watermill's fault) but once I stepped into the building Johnny, Christina & Tom L came to the rescue within seconds literally. From that moment till the very end the wedding was absolutely perfection. Johnny & Christina didn't even me a second to worry about a thing. My wedding seriously couldn't have been the same without Johnny & Christina 💞 They brought my dream wedding to life and MORE!! My guests raved about the food and setting which I'm grateful for (this is extremely important to me) but I can say without a doubt while my guests were taken care of, Johnny & Christina made us feel like a King & Queen!! There's nothing I would change, I enjoyed every second of it, it pained me to call it a night lol. I will definitely find a reason to host another event here 😂. I highly recommend the WATERMILL!!

My wedding was on 10/13/19. I cannot say one negative thing about the Watermill. From the day we booked in 2017, to the actual day of, it was all perfection!! I had Kaitlyn as my bridal attendant and he was truly like an angel! Attentive to our every move and desire. My husband and I were “crashing” right before the cocktail hour and the second our photographers let her know, she ran and got us two espressos! She even held the small plate under my mouth as I drank it, in case of a spill (lol). Our maître d’ and captain were also phenomenal. I don’t think more than 20 minutes went by where some one was not checking in with us. When my husband and I didn’t like the placement of our centerpieces (low and high were on wrong tables), both Nick and Johnny physically switched them around. They legit made our night perfect.
As far as the food goes, PHENOMENAL. EVERY single person we spoke to, during cocktail hour, during the reception, or afterwards, had to mention how amazing the food was. My family wants us to get remarried just for the food 😂
Honestly, I am beyond happy with the Watermill, and will forever relive this day. You are in great hands!!!

A dream come true
Watermill was the first venue we saw and after visiting several we knew it was the right pick for us. My cousin got married there 12 years ago and I always remembered what a great time I had at their wedding... the renovations they did are just gorgeous! The new outdoor ceremony space made for a ceremony out of a DREAM!! We loved that they had an indoor chapel in case of bad weather (thankfully we didn't need it). The gardens are beautiful and the indoor/ outdoor cocktail hour space is great! The staff had everything on point! Tom Wright our banquet manager was excellent!! So responsive and helpful with all my questions and emails. He made choosing the Watermill as our venue easy! Our Maitre D, Nick, was also excellent. We felt like there wasn't enough flowers in the ceremony space so they grabbed from the indoor space right away at our request and really made sure the night ran smoothly. I also gave a relatively detailed set up list and everything was set up perfectly. The cocktail hour was spectacular and all our guests are still raving about the food. Bridal attendant (Jessica) and Captain (Vinny D) made sure we were taken care of the entire night. We couldn't be happier with our choice and if Watermill is your future venue know that you are in great hands.

Truly Amazing
We had our wedding at the watermill recently, The experience there was amazing from the start! We met with Tom W to go over everything and set up the event. He was nothing short of amazing right from the start. The staff there is also amazing, they are all very friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. The assisted us with everything from day one until the end!! On the day of the Wedding the Bridal attendant Jess was top notch, She was there every step of the way and was wiling to do whatever was needed to make the day special. Shawn was also amazing, he guided us through the entire day and made sure we were at the right palace at the right time and kept the flow of the day going perfect. Thank you to everyone there, you are all truly amazing and made our special day perfect!!

Great Time
My daughter's wedding was August 31,2019. The event was terrific! Everything that Bryan had told us that would happen did! Katlin the Bridal Attendant, was better than great, she was wonderful. Anyone having a wedding should request her. Sean the Matre'D was excellent! The food was terrific, the staff was excellent, the grounds were beautiful, and all my guests kept telling me and my wife how great everything was. One of the best experiences we ever had. Thanks again Watermill for a job well done!

My brother's wedding was perfect!
We just celebrated my brother's wedding here Friday night August 9, 2019. From the first time we saw this place at a showcase back in January, we were in love. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and the food was amazing. The outdoor ceremony was perfect. But the best part of this whole place is the staff. All of the decorations were set up perfectly. From the minute the bridal party stepped out of the limo, we had several staff around us for whatever we needed. Need a drink? Hungry? They had us. The groomsmen said they were served food the minute they arrived. From tacos to sliders to strombolis to lambchops, the food was nonstop. The staff came around to the groom and groomsmen taking drink orders. Unfortunately the bridesmaids and bride didnt get to enjoy that part, only because the guys ran late which set back the limo getting the girls. By the time we arrived, the wedding needed to start right away. When we got to the bridal suite, there was a tray of cold meat wraps for a quick snack before the wedding started (which was perfect because the bride didnt eat much all day). The staff got us all lined up and ready to walk down. After the ceremony the bridal party stayed to take pictures then we actually got to go to the cocktail hour along with the bride and groom for a short time. The food was amazing and plentiful. When we went back to the bridal suite, there was another tray of food for all of us. Then came our entrance into the wedding. We were all so pumped up in the hallway screaming and dancing. We all made our entrance and there was a staff member telling us where to stand. The bride and groom entered under the arch of our hands. Once we were seated, our table waitress greeted us. I only remember her name because it matched her personality. Grace. She took our drink order one time. Thats all that was needed apparently because every time we got up to dance, we came back to refilled drinks at our table. I didnt need to go to the bar once. Grace came back several times to see if we needed anything. Then dinner was served. I ordered filet mignon and shrimp, and my boyfriend ordered chicken and shrimp. We each cut our meat in half and traded. everything was so juicy and flavorful. My brother said that he and his bride got to eat 3 different things off the menu and everything was wonderful. We danced all night to the music from the amazing dj. When the wedding was over, we called Grace over to thank her for everything. She gave us hugs and we headed out the door. Staff were there waiting to give us our bouquets and to make sure we had everything. It truly was a magical night and we couldnt have asked for anything more.

Everyone at the watermill was super responsive and on their A game the day of my wedding. I honestly could not have asked for anything more. Every person that worked at the Watermill was nicer than the next! I just can't wait to attend a wedding there now!

Amazing Venue

Beyond Amazing
I couldn’t imagine a better Venue to have my wedding at! Tom Lauterborn went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely perfect! Nicchole and Sean were nothing short of perfect!!! The food was to die for and the grounds were stunning. Even our photographer was blown away by how breath taking the flowers looked. Every member of the staff was attentive and more than hospitable. Would recommend 110 times out of 100!!!!

Most Beautiful Place to get Married
We wanted our wedding to stand out among all the weddings we’d ever been to. We fell in love with Watermill the second we got there. It’s a family atmosphere with people who genuinely care about what you want but also care about what they give. Tom L walked us through everything and we booked immediately. Samantha helped us with our invitations and that went super smooth. The big day came and it was everything we dreamed it would be. We used the outdoor ceremony area and it was gorgeous. All of the guests raved about the food at the cocktail hour and then again at dinner. The service was top notch, no one ever had an empty glass. I can’t say enough great things. It was just perfect. And it was easy... the whole wedding planning thing can get stressful and it just never was with them. Highly recommend!

gorgeous venue!
from the first time i drove past watermill i knew it was a special place. we attended a showcase there and i instantly fell in love! we were quoted an amazing price and i couldnt wait to bring my family back. unfortunately my family didnt love it as much as i did and the distance played a factor. its a gorgeous venue and i was ready to book it if my family would of been in agreement

Best wedding ever
From the moment we walked into the Watermill, we knew it was the right place for our wedding. We got married 1/11/19 and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Planning with Tom Wright was always easy and entertaining! He was an absolute delight and felt like part of the family. On the big day, my bridal attendant Kaitlyn and maitre’d Shawn were phenomenal. I can’t say enough about them! They made our day seamless and stress free from the ceremony to our exit, and were simply wonderful. I just loved them! It’s been 2 weeks and everyone we talk to is still raving about the food. Everything from cocktail hour to the dessert bar and donut wall was outstanding. The rooms looked absolutely beautiful and captivating. It was truly the best day of our lives thanks to the exceptional and superior service at the Watermill!

Perfect Wedding Venue!
I am so happy I chose Watermill Caterers as my wedding venue. Their professionalism, dedication to their couples and flexibility ensure your dream wedding becomes a reality. As I look back on my wedding day I am so grateful to Tom, the Maitre D, my bridal attendant and all the staff for all their hard work. Everything was gorgeous! My guest loved the venue, but especially loved the food. Every guest I have ran into since the wedding brings the food up. They say it's the best cocktail hour they have ever had. That really makes me happy. I have been to several weddings were the food was not great and it really stands out in your mind, so to have my guest gush over the venue and food confirms that I picked the ideal place for my big day. An Absolute Recommendation
We just had our wedding at the Watermill on New Year's Day. I cannot express how impressed (and I don't impress easily) I was with how everything went. My wife and I simply just had to show up. Johnny, Michelle, and Mike were freaking amazing. They kicked absolute ass with every single detail and every idea/request we had. Everyone is still messaging us raving about the wedding. If I could go to more weddings here with those 3 working it I would go everytime.

Wedding of a Lifetime
The Watermill was amazing!! I couldn’t believe how accommodating and friendly every person was that worked with us. They gave us so much for an amazing price. They offered the most food, drink, and exit stations than anywhere else we looked. The Watermill blows away all the other venues we saw. And it smells great too! The lighting, the champagne tree, and the food were spectacular! I feel I need to write more... 20 appetizers, 5 stations for cocktail hour, 10 choices for dinner!! Open bar, specialty drinks, and chocolate shot glasses with dessert. They added mint chocolate chip ice cream at the dessert bar just at my request. We had our own personal chef, waiter, and a bridal attendant. They were all so nice and accommodating. People said it was the best wedding they had ever been to! Thank you so much Watermill!

Simply amazing - above and beyond!
My husband and I cannot say enough amazing things about The Watermill! On a recommendation from a friend who also got married there, we visited and immediately fell in love. We were captured by Watermill’s modern, yet still classic and timeless, design and atmosphere. No other venue we had seen even came close to comparing! We booked with Tom, who made us feel so welcome and always greeted us (and every little question we had) with a smile. My husband and I had our wedding reception in the Vanderbilt room this past July 2018, and the entire day was a dream come true.
Almost three months later, we are still getting compliments about the fantastic food and cocktail hour! We love the Watermill for the variety of food they offer, as well as the exceptional quality. Our guests cannot stop raving about how delicious everything was, how beautiful the venue is, and what a great time they had.
Our bridal attendant, Jessica, was absolutely phenomenal. Every time I turned around, she was never far behind for anything I might need – from so quickly bustling my dress before our entrance (and re-bustling after some dancing!), to getting down on her hands and knees to help me bandage my slightly sore toe so I could keep dancing! Jessica would gracefully and effortlessly sweep in before *I* even knew I needed anything – for example, when my husband and I were introduced and entered the room, she swiftly reached out and took my bouquet so my hands would be free for our first dance (avoiding the often-awkward look around from the bride as if to say “Where can I put these?!”)
She was extremely professional, friendly, and there to help with anything my husband, our families, and I needed to make sure we enjoyed our wedding day. Jessica was such a joy, and has a true gift for the hospitality industry. I wouldn’t be surprised if she is running her own place someday!
Our maitre’d, Rich B, helped the evening run so smoothly. He was waiting right at our limo door when we arrived at the Watermill to introduce himself, show us to the bridal suite, and make sure we were taken care of from start to finish. He ensured that my husband and I were walked through the cocktail hour and reception room before the guests (a request by my husband and me, so we could enjoy and appreciate every detail of the room). Rich kept us aware of everything going on, made sure our glasses were never empty, and coordinated with our great captain (Anthoni) to make sure the entire evening ran smoothly, and make sure we did not have to worry about anything. Our guests all had such wonderful praise to share for the immense courtesy, attentiveness, and accommodating natures of the wait staff during the reception.
Everyone we worked with at the Watermill throughout wedding planning was a pleasure! Samantha is a wonderful and knowledgeable resource, and was so helpful in helping us choose our invitations and in taking care of all the small details. Every staff member made us feel at home when we visited for wedding appointments throughout our planning period.
My husband and I are now hoping to be guests at a Watermill wedding in the future, so we can enjoy the incredible venue again! We cannot express strongly enough how much we would recommend the Watermill. For a wedding, or any event, the Watermill team’s level of service, attention to detail, professionalism, compassion, and care is above and beyond.

Our wedding day was a dream come true thanks to Watermill! We had our wedding on August 23 and the day could not have been more perfect. The staff was incredible! Our maitre’d Sean was awesome and made sure everything ran smoothly. Our captain Johnny was great and was on top of everything during the reception. Devon my bridal attendant was amazing!! She truly took care of both of us from the moment we stepped into the Watermill until the very end of the night. Everyone in our bridal party loved her! The entire staff worked together like a well-oiled machine – we can’t thank them enough!
As for the venue itself the renovations are absolutely gorgeous and fit our style completely- we knew it was the perfect place for us! Everything feels so modern and romantic and classy. The gardens are beautiful and we thankfully had perfect weather to have the ceremony outside (they do have an indoor chapel as well in case of bad weather, which is also gorgeous). The food is outstanding and that is really hard to come by. The cocktail hour options are all delicious and our guests were provided a menu that had 10 options to choose from for dinner. We had so many guests coming up to us saying they were blown away by all the food and how delicious everything was!
We were not only incredibly happy with how Watermill treated us, our bridal party, and our guests but also how well they worked with ALL of our vendors to make the amazing night come together. The staff was such a pleasure to work with on all levels and if we had to go through the process again we would pick Watermill every time. We highly recommend using Watermill - and if you are on the fence about making the choice, trying the food at one of their showcases should put you over.

My wife and I couldn't be more happy with our wedding at Watermill Caterers (4/27/18).
Booking with Eric who is no longer there was a pleasure. Everything from the initial tour to discussing our options was relaxed and fun. After Eric left, Tom took over managing our date and he did a wonderful job. He made appropriate recommendations regarding our needs and never tried to up-sell us. We always felt like we were in good hands and that our requests would be met.
The renovations they've done are incredible, if you're looking for clean and modern like we were this place will take your breath away. The menu options (your guests get like 10 choices...what?!) will please any crowd. We got so many compliments on the food, both for the cocktail hour and dinner. Honestly, we can't wait to be invited to a wedding here so we can enjoy it as guests too!
The day of our wedding was perfect. Our maitre'd Sean was on top of everything and I'm convinced he can be in three places at once - a true professional. The bridal attendant Jessica was extremely attentive, warm, and kind. The rest of the staff was always smiling and we heard nothing but compliments from our friends and family regarding their waitstaff. They placed our decorations exactly how we wanted (even better than we had imagined in some instances!) and really make the place look amazing.

The service was absolutely wonderful at the Watermill. From the second we arrived with our wedding party, we were greeted with unlimited drinks, food and anything else you could imagine. The Watermill literally allowed us to drop our bags right in the lobby and get to work taking pictures while they carried all of our bags to the bridal suite and served us food and drinks.
The food, from the cocktail hour all the way to the dessert spread, was delicious. All of our guests raved about the array of food, the quality, and the presentation.
Also, throughout the entire wedding planning process, Tom L. was super helpful and informative and during the wedding itself, he made sure that our night was absolutely perfect. Caitlin, the bridal attendant, was unbelievable. She really attended to my every need and was able to anticipate everything throughout the night.
I truly cannot say enough good things about the Watermill. Based on my experience as a bride as well as the phenomenal feedback from all of our guests (including my father who is extremely hard to please), I highly recommend the Watermill for a wedding or any other special event!

Wow! Hats off to the Watermill for an amazing night that is still being talked about by friends and family over a month later. We heard about the Watermill through family friends who were there recently for a shower and said to go take a look and that it had all been redone. When we went, we met with Tom who was amazing. A true professional who loves his craft. He walked us through everything with a personal touch, which made us feel special and not just another couple. He was essentially available 24/7 via phone or email to answer any of our questions. If you love food then the Watermill is top notch. Amazing cocktail hour stations left everyone wanting more. They are unique in that for dinner they offer their full menu instead of the standard chicken, steak, or fish option which was amazing. They are a one stop shop for all your wedding needs. We had looked around for our invitations but again went with Samantha their in house invitation "guru" who took care of us, answered all our questions, expedited our order and created some one of a kind beautiful invitations. The venue itself is immaculate. The cocktail hour room upstairs is beautiful enough to hold a wedding in, but with a guest list of 245 we had the reception downstairs in the beautiful Vanderbilt room. We cant say enough about the high level of professionalism from the Maître'd , captain, and bridal attendant. You were well taken care of with anything you needed. I highly recommend taking a look at the Watermill for your wedding or any event in that matter. Their staff will take care of you personally and that's what we appreciated the most.

We got married on 1/6/18 and it was easily the best day of our lives! The Watermill is truly the best at what they do. They went above and beyond and made our day so special. We were lucky enough to work with both Tom W. and Tom L. They made the entire process so easy and were very accommodating and professional. Our bridal attendant Jenn was spectacular. She was helping us and the entire bridal party and made us all feel so at ease. Our captain Danielle was very attentive and made sure we had anything we needed. Same goes for our Maitre d' Rich. Both did a phenomenal job! Our guests have been raving about the food, the atmosphere and the staff. The day went flawlessly. If you ever have any doubts, don't because the Watermill knows exactly what they are doing! It was the winter wonderland that we always dreamed of!

If I could give more than a five star review I absolutely would! My husband and I got married on September 2nd and had the most perfect wedding ever! The entire staff was professional, courteous, and friendly. They made it so that the entire day was stress free for the both of us. Kaitlyn, my bridal attendant was phenomenal. She made sure I was never thirsty or hungry and even helped me change out of my heels when my feet were starting to hurt! The bustle on my dress broke at one point and she was ready to fix it with white safety pins! Sean, our maitre'd was great! He made sure the entire day went off without a hitch, and kept everything running so smoothly. All of the food was amazing, and it just kept coming. Some of the guests thought that the cocktail hour was the main dinner since there was so much food and so many options. The bacon bar was a huge hit! Dinner was great and Antonio, the captain made sure everyone was taken care of. The best decision we made while wedding planning was choosing the Watermill. I wish we could do it all over again and we really hope some of our friends get married here so we can come back!

Our wedding was 13 days ago. I must say Watermill did s great job!! They were on top of everything. My bridal attendant Jackie was on her A game. She made sure we had our alone time after the ceremony and made sure we had food in the bridal suite. Our maître d’ was professional and if I needed something to be done he was on it ASAP. My fiancé and I did not have to left a finger for anything. We truly felt like a Queen and King. It was worth every penny! I would definitely recommend to others.

This was the first place my wife and I visited when shopping for a catering hall. We met with Tom Wright and the way he presented himself and the venue...literally gave me goosebumps. I kept stressing that to my then fiance. I wanted to book them right away but we looked around anyway. Needless to say, we booked with them. The Watermill just did a complete renovation about a year ago so everything is brand new. They have an outdoor area for ceremony but also have indoor (if needed). The food is one of the best features. All of our guests raved about the food, the bacon bar and sushi bar was the most talked about. The main course would vary but at the time we booked, our guests were able to choose from 1 of 10 entrees. TEN! Not just chicken, steak, or fish. But from lamb, steak, chicken, branzino, salmon, shrimp, manicotti, and I can't remember the rest. ALL of their staff was just perfect. They really looked like they enjoy working there and that was important to us. You don't want your guests seeing the wait staff with frowns. A special shout out to our Maitre'D Rich, the Captain, Rich, and our Bridal Attendant Kaitlin. You guys really...I can't express it with words.

My husband and I were married here this past July 3rd, 2017. It was absolutely amazing!! From the first time we set foot in the building when we were still researching catering halls, we fell in love. The lobby is gorgeous, and we were greeted right away by a friendly receptionist. We mainly worked with Tom Wright, who was nothing but professional, accommodating, and friendly throughout the entire process from beginning to end. The day of the wedding, everything was set up perfectly and the entire staff was excellent. Always on point, accommodating to every guest, and as nice as can be. Sean was our maitre d. He was excellent! He helped me carry my dress while walking around to take pictures, offered us drinks, and made sure we had everything we needed or wanted almost immediately upon asking. Kaitlyn was our bridal attendant who was also amazing. She not only helped my husband and I, but also the entire wedding party throughout the whole night. She was the best!!! On top of amazing service, the food was top notch. Everything from cocktail hour, to dinner (10 choices!!!) to dessert was delicious. We continue to hear compliments about the decor, service, and food from all of our guests. Honestly there isn't a thing we would have changed. The place and the staff are absolute perfection! We will be recommending the Watermill for years to come!!

My husband and I attended a wedding last night, August 12th. The experience was fantastic. The maître d was Richie. He was professional, courteous, efficient and ran the wedding like a well oiled machine. Our waiter at table 11 was excellent!!Our water glasses were filled, the drinks were served continuously, the food was hot and delicious! It was one of the best weddings I have been to in years!! I took a moment to find the maître d and that's when I learned his name and felt compelled to write this review!! I will recommend this venue to everyone I know! I have a big Italian family and am also a realtor that comes in contact with many couples that need a venue!! I am going to shout from the rooftops about Richie and the Watermill!! Thank you for making last night so beautiful!!! I wish my daughter got married here instead of the place they chose in Massapequa, the Riviera. Total disappointment!..... but good news, I have another daughter!!! Although she is not ready yet, the Watermill will be my first Suggestion to her!!! Thanks again!!!

My husband and I are so happy we picked the watermill as our vendor. All the staff was amazing. Only thing we where upset about is at the day of our wedding there was of course we knew another wedding was going on but also found out that day there was a sweet 16 to. During our ceromony there was a loud band that happened from a door that opened. Also we couldn't take pictures with our bridal party on the stairs due to the sweet 16 kids being all around and their swuite was located right next to my bridal sweet which I was not happy about. Other than that I was highly pleased with the services that watermill provided and I would love to deal with them again for future events.

Spectacular! The Watermill did a fantastic job with our wedding from beginning to end. We booked with Brian in October 2015 for our wedding on 4/21/17; he was a terrific help throughout the entire process and we never felt pressured. We were so thrilled with the venue that we attended as many events as possible and thoroughly enjoyed watching the transformation of the venue. The renovations they completed are STUNNING and we were blown away when we walked into the Vanderbilt room for our reception. Samantha the wedding coordinator is extremely helpful specifically when you are just starting to plan the big day.
Our wedding was amazing in large part because of the professional and attentive staff. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our bridal attendant, Kaitlyn, captain Richie and maître D Rich. They were incredible from the moment we pulled up, ensuring that literally everything was taken care of. I'm sure you've heard that the food is outstanding but that doesn't cover it! Original cocktail hour options, insane number of entre choices, delicious dessert...our guests are still raving about them all.
At the end of the night, we experienced a minor issue with one of our vendors. Every staff member at the Watermill was quick to offer assistance and made sure the issue was resolved. Brian emailed me the next day to follow-up and make sure that the vendor followed-up with us and corrected the situation. It was a level of professionalism that you just don't get everywhere and we truly appreciated it!
There are so many more things I could say to compliment the job the Watermill did with our wedding but I will simply revert to my first comment...SPECTACULAR! I can't wait to go back for a friend's wedding next year and experience it all over again!!

My Wedding was July 31, 2016, everything and I mean everything was PERFECT! My Husband and I had originally planned a destination wedding and had to cancel our plans in April 2016 with little time left to throw together our 200+ wedding the Watermill helped us with everything and made it so easy. As soon as we went to the venue we felt at home. Originally planning to get married outside, the day of wedding it was raining and extremely hot the staff went above and beyond to make our wedding in the chapel truly beautiful. Our guests still rave about our cocktail hour and dinner! It feels so good to have had all of our guest thoroughly enjoy the food and the service they received. Our bridal attendant Katelyn and Maitre D were phenomenal and made sure we always had what we needed. I really cannot say enough good things about the staff and the venue! Pricing was reasonable and service was outstanding! My only complaint is that i wish I got married two months later to enjoy the full benefit of their gorgeous renovations! We will be planning all of our future events here!

the place is gourgeous. recommend it to everyone. the garden is so beautiful and the cocktail hour is usually there as well as the ceremony when the weather allows it. in side u r walking into a beautiful place with a lot of options to make an unbelievable photos for ur memories
the reception room was beautifully arranged the lighting was matching perfectly with the theme color and everything looked amazing. we had a lovely attended who was making sure we have everything perfect also the rest of the staff were absolutely professional and they really know what they do even in situation where u have to think and act fast
we had such a blast. all our guests were impressed and loved their experience from the way how it looked through the food ( delicious btw) all the way the venishion hour to the smallest detail

My experience at the Watermill has been GREAT, particularly working with Brian, who really took care of us as we considered Watermill as one of our top 3 choices for our special day! Right when I walked in, I was impressed by the entrance with it's marble floor and everything looks so new and clean. Brian gave us a tour of the rooms and the beautiful garden/cocktail area. I was already imagining how perfect it would be to take photos at the different areas. My family was also fortunate enough to attend their Bridal Showcase which was hands down one of the best cocktail spreads i've ever had. They had a sushi station (with soft shell crab!), FRESH mozzerella station where it's literally still warm from just being made, the delicious brisket carving station (i would have chosen this + my obligatory lechon option), and of course the desserts. My siblings and I LOVED the chocolate shot/cordial bar which I will make sure I have at my wedding. When I asked for a cotton candy machine (i know, im an adult asking for a kids station- but hey, it's my day! lol), he really assured me that he'd take care of it. I have no doubt that if I chose Watermill as my venue, Brian and his staff would have been so accommodating and professional. This weekend, we decided to choose another venue which only allowed 1 event the whole day which I didn't realize would play such an important factor in my decision in picking my venue, but it did. Thank you Brian for your very reasonable offer and I hope that I can come by again for future parties!

My husband and I were having a hard time choosing the right venue for our wedding, until we met with Tom W. at Watermill Caterers. After getting the tour, going over the menus, and seeing their renovation plans, we chose to have our Winter Wonderland wedding on 12/02/16, and it was one of the best decisions we've made. Our invitations were ordered through Samantha (their in-house wedding planner) and were absolutely stunning, and our cake / Viennese hour came from Dortoni Bakery (one of their recommended vendors), everything was to die for! The grounds were set up beautifully and fit our theme perfectly. Our ceremony, cocktail, and reception spaces were all in different rooms- not only did each room take our breaths away, our guests were also amazed. The food was simply delicious and was plated beautifully, and the drinks kept the party going all night. The entire staff was always so helpful, accommodating, and pleasant from the receptionist, to the bartenders, to the wait staff. Nick (Maitre' D'), Jessica (Bridal Attendant), and Danielle (Captain) were a flawless team and went above and beyond for all of our needs. Thank you all for giving us the wedding of our dreams!

The first day we walked in that beautiful venue we felt in love with it. We saw Brian, who gave us a tour of this renovated place "stunning. Later we met Tom and Eric, we were Like celebrities 3 managers at our service. Eric was a good listener, and Brian will work with you to make your wedding beautiful. There was food all over, till now our guests still talking about the food and the beautiful event. Thanks Brian and Eric you guys are the best.

Everyone here is so great! I had my Sweet 16 there a few years ago. They are extremely helpful and helped me feel as though I was the only party there!! Everything went so smoothly! The food is great and the venue is beautiful! They recommended Jeffrey Studio as a photographer and they were amazing as well!!!

From the day we signed the contract to the moment we took our last steps out the night of our wedding we couldn't be happier! We booked blindly before the renovations were done and our reception room (The Astor Suite) was breathtaking. Our cocktail hour room was redone as well and it's so airy and open now. I will admit, upon our first meeting we were very upset with the original banquet manager, Brian. He was very smug and zipped through our meeting without even giving us a tour. He also made us seem like we may have not been able to afford a wedding there prior to going over prices. Although we were upset we loved the venue. We rescheduled, met with Tom and clicked immediately with him. I highly suggest meeting with Tom or Eric (We LOVED Eric! Such a delight to work with and keeps you laughing!) Pricing was very reasonable for such an exquisite venue. Cocktail hour was almost overwhelming to our guests with such an abundance of food and choices. Love bacon? Good! They offer a BACON BAR! Also, if you're looking for a "church like" setting to get married in they have a room that will give you that feel. The night of we had Jessica as a bridal attendant who was amazing! She was cleaning the bottom of my dress for me right until they opened the doors to get me down the isle. Dave was our matre d and by the end of the night he felt more like family. The run a tight ship and know what they are doing and they do it well! From the bottom of our hearts we can't thank the watermill enough for making our day perfect!

The watermill told me from the beginning that they would like to make the wedding planning process as easy as possible for me and my husband. They did exactly that! The day of my wedding was perfect, the staff that helped us was exceptional. I wouldn't ask for anything different! The food was so good, my guests are still letting me know how much they loved the cocktail hour. The watermill is a gorgeous venue with extraordinary staff, I would definitely recommend booking with them.

We recently had our wedding at the Watermill--the first since the renovation was 100% complete. All I can say is "wow!" The renovations are gorgeous. From the flowers to the gazebo to the iconic watermill, everything felt upscale and natural for the garden ceremony. The indoor reception room was also lovely--they were able to tweak the lights perfectly to match the Tiffany blue centerpieces. The dance floor is huge. HUGE. Plenty of room for everyone to have a good time (and for the bride and groom to put those ballroom classes to good use)!
Planning from Texas, I wasn't able to visit in person for the usual meetings prior to the ceremony. Eric was great about communicating via phone/e-mail to make sure that we were all on the same page. The staff were very attentive throughout the wedding. They made sure that we got to eat/drink and helped me to locate my bridesmaids when I needed to change into my reception dresses. Even with no wedding rehearsal, everyone knew exactly where they were supposed to be thanks to the Captain that day. My husband says that he felt like a celebrity because they took such good care of us.
As for the food...tell your guests to come with an empty stomach. Seriously. Guests tell me that it's the best wedding food that they've ever had, and this comes from well traveled foodies. The bacon bar was a hit, and the wedding cake was divine. One frosting flower did fall off, but that's about the only thing that went "wrong" all day.
If you're looking at Long Island venues, I strongly recommend the recently renovated Watermill Caterers. We had a fantastic experience, as did our family and friends.

Booked for may 27th 2016 and i can't wait! Everything up to this point has been fantastic and everyone I delt with was great! They have someone in house to help do invitations but it is very expensive so I don't recommend that but everything else was excellent I can't wait to see how it works out !

We just had our wedding here on May 7th. I can’t even explain how great the Watermill was! We booked 2 years ago and there have been so many changes made from then until now. It made us a little nervous but all of the changes (menu, staff, venue) were for the better. The renovations are almost complete and they are coming out amazing. The venue looks much more modern, clean and beautiful. I also find the staff to be a lot more helpful and responsive now in comparison to 2 years ago. They are a huge part of what made our wedding day a dream come true. From the moment we walked in that day they were blowing us away. Everything was set up perfectly. The chapel for ceremony, the Bostonian (cocktail hour) room and the Astor room (reception) were all stunning. Our bridal attendant Jessica was the sweetest person & she literally thought of everything before I could even ask her. Our guests raved about the venue, the food, and the service. We don't have a single complaint!

I got married a week ago April 30,2016 at the Watermill. Since the minute I decided to start looking at venue. The Watermill was the second place I visit and both myself and my husband knew this was the place to begin our ever after. We work with Eric, Kaitlyn and Mike and I must say if you are lucky to work with them, they were absolutely amazing and cool, very understanding and remove all doubt. The day of the affair was absolutely georgeous,stunning and the day flow. Everything was amazing, so much food and the drink kept coming. We constantly get compliment on how good it was. I felt like a princess. That day I had no worries in the world but look beautiful.My wedding was a dream come through since the moment we arrived. I would not change anything. Our wedding was February 27th and we truly can't say how impressed we are. I don't even know where to begin. Our maître d (Bob), Bridal Attendant (Jen), Captain, and staff were all amazing. Everyone one of our guests felt like they were treated like they were members of the bridal party. As for the members of the bridal party they all said there was not one moment where their needs were not met. Everyone always says you never have fun at your own wedding, but my husband and I had a BLAST! You guys took care of every single thing so we did not have to worry. All the food was excellent. We truly can't believe how well the wedding went. We can't say thank you enough!

My fiancé and I just recently booked our wedding at the Watermill so although we haven't had our wedding yet I wanted to comment on the experience we have had thus far. Upon our first meeting, we were greeted by a woman in the front entrance &!were welcomed to look around, check out the bathrooms, etc. while we awaited to meet the banquet manager, Eric. The entrance is beautiful & had been recently renovated. The bathrooms were just as beautiful and clean!! When we met with Eric, he was very welcoming & made us feel at home there at the Watermill. He gave us a tour of the venue answering any questions we had along the way. The cocktail room is currently being renovated so we couldn't see the actual room, but we did see the board of what it will look like & it looks amazing! After the tour, we sat down to talk about the various options (i.e. ceremony, reception, menu options, pricing, etc.). Eric was patient & receptive to anything and everything we were concerned or wondering about. In no way did we feel pressured through the whole process as it turned out that we met with Eric three times before booking! I would highly recommend speaking with Eric if you are looking to book or even just starting the venue search because he is amazing at what he does! Between the time he took to speak with us on three separate occasions, to his passion for the beauty of the Watermill mixed with his belief in a beautiful and elegant wedding with an AMAZING food menu not only helped us confirm our decision to book at the Watermill but made us realize the Watermill staffs the best of the best. We really appreciate his undeniable ability to make us feel special and really excited about this time in our lives and there's no doubt in my mind, he will do the same for you! We are thrilled to begin our wedding planning with the Watermill as our home base!

This was the last place we came to after seeing 9 venues in 2 weekends trying to figure out where we wanted our reception. I wasnt even thrilled to go inside because i was tired. Well i am glad i did. They did a FABULOUS job!! I actually got to eat, drink and dance at my own wedding.. and the food was excellent!! The cocktail hour was amazing we totally had a BACON BAR.. that was great too! My bridal attendant Katelyn was sooo amazing.. and i never like people catering to me so i felt bad but she was sooo amazing to everyone in our entire bridal party!! Nick the Maitre'd did a great job! UgHH i cant even rave enough about this place to be honest. My guests have not stopped talking months later... they all have said its one of the best weddings they've ever been to. I cant thank my Banquet manager Mindy, and the entire staff at watermill for everything in making that night something to remember !!

We booked our reception with Eric. He is an absolute gem. He explained everything to us without hiding anything. He is honest, extremly easy to work with and talk to. The watermill has recently renovated the majority of their venue and it is absolutely gorgeous! They are renovating the remaining rooms (our cocktail and reception room) within the next few months and i do not have any doubts or worries because it will be absolutely beautiful. I recomment this venue to anyone and everyone!

PERFECT. While other vendors were great, the Watermill was the only one to get every single detail - big and small - exactly right. We had the most amazing cocktail hour with everything you could want, including a craft beer, bacon, and bourbon bar that was a big hit. Dinner went off without a hitch - the staff was super attentive and the service was flawless. It's been months since the wedding and our guests from near and far are still raving about it, saying it's the best they've ever attended. I absolutely love this place! They made me feel like I was a princess for the day and catered to my every whim. The ambiance was breathing and I cannot say enough about the food! They even incorporated some of my ethnic dishes and all my guests absolutely loved it all. Here it is 6 months later and whenever I talk to family and friends they're still commending me on my venue and how the food was so good and so much of it. I would absolutely recommend Watermill to any and everyone getting married or for any function that they were having because they are just absolutely the best!

I was living out of state, so my fiancé was the one to find the place for the reception. He visited several places. I looked at their websites, and discussed with him which one he preferred. We decided to book The Watermill. The room we used was beautiful, the staff during the reception was fantastic. Our planner was Brian. If you want a beautiful place for your reception, book the Watermill. They give you a good variety of dishes for the cocktail hour and reception. I was very impressed with the staff.

My husband and I got married at the Watermill in June. From the moment we visited this venue we fell in love with it! It is a beautiful place to get married. Everyone at the venue was extremely helpful and nice. The Watermill and their staff made our wedding the perfect wedding. They set up everything we wanted, made it exactly how we asked, and we didnt have to worry about a thing. The helpful hands of the staff made it so my husband and I could really enjoy the night!
Not only was the atmosphere spectacular and the staff helpful/nice, the food was incredible! From cocktail hour to dinner and dessert -delicious food kept being served! People could not believe how much food was served and how great it tasted!
People still tell us how beautiful and delicious our wedding was! My husband and I are so happy that we booked Watermill Caterers for our wedding! We highly recommend this venue!

We had our wedding at the Watermill in July. The Watermill and its staff completely exceeded our expectations in terms of the food, the service, the beautiful gardens, among many other things. Our bridal attendants made sure we had everything we and our bridal party needed. They were always one step ahead of us and knew exactly what we would need and want. Our guests were extremely impressed with all that the Watermill had to offer and could not stop talking about the AMAZING cocktail hour, delicious dinner options, and spectacular Viennese hour filled with every single dessert you could ever imagine . Coming from a big Italian family with high food expectations, we knew the food had to be perfect- Needless to say, no one left disappointed OR hungry! We highly recommend the Watermill! Thank you for making our wedding day more special than we could have ever imagined!!

The Watermill is the dream location for your dream wedding. Every aspect of my day was flawless because of the Watermill and its amazing staff. My maitre-d (Bob he is incredible) and my bridal attendant (Jen also incredible) were literally my left and right hand. They were feeding us, hydrating us, getting us where we needed to be before we knew we needed to be there, putting my groom back together for cake pictures after he took off half his tux to dance...I could go on and on. This place is beautiful and the food is perfect. I have never heard a bad thing about the watermill's food The Scotto brothers know how to put on a party! My guests are still talking about the incredible cocktail hour (strongly recommend the ravioli bar! and corned beef at the carving station if you're Irish-so good) From the minute we began planning in January of 2014 until July of 2015 the watermill was with us, helping us in every way! Also, they give you the use of Samantha for free who helps you organize your thoughts and will even help you order your invites which I utilized. She made sure they were perfect before they came to me so there were no mishaps! Go to a showcase-they will win you over I am sure!
