Hire W.E.D!

My husband and I had a great experience with Lynn! Lynn was my go-to person during the whole planning process and our wedding day. She has extensive knowledge of the industry, and tons of experience. She helped us find vendors, review vendor contracts, and plan out all the nitty gritty details. She also created all of our wedding decorations and florals, ran our rehearsal, and was our day of coordinator. Our wedding day couldn't have ran smoother, and it was all thanks to Lynn! She set all our decorations up, coordinated with all our vendors, helped ensure we stuck to our timeline, and everything in between. My Mom, MOH and I were able to relax and have fun while getting ready, which we appreciated so much. Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and it wouldn't be what it was without her. We can't recommend W.E.D enough!

Best Decision for My Wedding Day!

First, let me say how great Lynn was in the preparation for my wedding. Initial contact with Lynn occurred via a video call where we got to know more about her services, she learned about our style, and how she could make our day special with that information. It was very apparent she had been doing this for quite a long time as her knowledge was extensive and reassuring when we did not have a clue on where to begin! I initially selected Lynn to provide the decorations (including flowers) for our wedding, but as the wedding came closer, I realized I needed some more help. Lynn was eager and willing to also assist with the coordination for day of services for the wedding as well, which included any last minute decisions we had, making sure vendors had no issues with getting what they needed and just to make sure our day was perfect at both the ceremony and reception locations, which it was. Along the way, Lynn's communication was great. We met with her over video several times before the wedding where she made sure all our questions were answered and that she could be of any assistance to us. Lynn had a great way of calming my nerves when I had doubts about ideas and I had full faith she would deliver what she promised based on her knowledge and expertise in wedding planning. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch and the decorations Lynn provided were exactly what we discussed and was absolutely perfect and beautiful! Overall, I cannot say enough good things about Lynn and the services she provides. She truly ensures her clients have the perfect day and is sure to accomodate any requests the best she can. I definitely recommend Lynn and W.E.D. for any wedding needs! Pricing is MORE than fair for the quality of services and knowledge you will receive from Lynn and her crew. You won't be disappointed!

Lynn is a natural leader and expert planner. Her attention to detail is impeccable and everything - from the venue, to the band, and even down to making sure everyone got their tips - went perfectly as planned. Lynn was the best decision we ever made for our wedding day! We booked her design&decor, floral, and day-of coordination, and couldn't have been happier with all three services. She gave expert advice throughout the process, made sure that every last detail was attended to, and solved problems before they became a problem. She's a great communicator, prompt and proactive. Incredible wedding vendor!

If you are reading this review and considering hiring W.E.D., this is your sign to do it. My now husband (still getting used to that one) and I hired them for full wedding planning, florals and décor, and DJ services, which was the best decision they could have made. As soon as we hired Lynn, she relieved so much stress as she helped as tour venues, connect with other vendors, and read contracts. And if you happen to hire them for multiple services, you get the dream team of her and Matt (and Elayne!) which will only make your day more fun and wonderful. We got married about two months ago and are still receiving compliments about Lynn’s décor choices and Matt’s many incredible playlists. I have already recommended them to some of my closest friends because I believe everyone should have a company like this for their wedding. Truly, I cannot say enough good things about W.E.D., I am endlessly appreciative of them for playing such a huge part of our amazing day!

Super helpful!

Lynn was fantastic......we hired her as our coordinator; she also handled our decor, floral and we had Matt be our DJ. They were great! My husband and I are both pretty laid back so I knew we were going to have a hard time making decisions on details within a timely manner. Lynn was great about reminding me what needed to be done in a way that wasn't pushy. She was super responsive and prompt and was an absolute life saver on the wedding day. I had people mention that I didn't seem stressed at all at the wedding and I joked around that it was because Lynn was stressing for me 😅 Everything went so smoothly because of her. And Matt was an excellent DJ.....even with our obscure music request, he nailed it! Highly recommend them!

For all your wedding needs!

My wife and I (married in October 2022) hired Lynn for full wedding planning, decor and DJ services. This was easily the best decision we made of the entire wedding planning process (other than deciding to get married in the first place of course) Lynn made the 2 years leading up to the big day stress-free and enjoyable for us. The most important thing to my wife and I as we were in the planning process was that we wanted to be able to look back and think about how great of an experience it was, not how stressed we were. Lynn and Matt were able to deliver that to us. There were so many of our guests that came up to us throughout the night and said that it was the best wedding they'd ever been too. Now while i'm pretty sure it's just proper etiquette to say that at every wedding you go to, I truly believe that they meant it. Lynn ensured that everything for me and my bride went as flawlessly as possible. Could not recommend the team over at W.E.D. enough!

W.E.D gave us our dream wedding and there isn't a thing we would change!

This is long overdue. To get straight to the point, I highly recommend W.E.D for wedding planning, decorations and DJ services. We took advantage of all three and have ZERO complaints. Not kidding, ZERO complaints. It is not very often that people can get to the end of the night and say "I wouldn't have changed a single thing." My wife and I look back at our wedding and that is what we are left with. Not one thing we would have wanted to change. Now, I have no idea if the team at W.E.D had any chaos or frustration, because they never told us and I'd argue that is how it should be on your wedding day. They handled everything for us and it was truly perfect.

Now, to add a few other details for anyone who might be like me. I did not think we needed a wedding planner. It seemed like a waste of money, but my wife disagreed. I wasn't so excited about meetings either. I am probably a little too "go with the flow" for the average person, especially a team like W.E.D that needs to know every detail, but I am just being real. Hiring W.E.D was simply to make sure my wife felt good going into the wedding. That said, despite having to change wedding dates due to COVID, despite going from a small wedding (state mandate), to all of a sudden everything is lifted and now we can invite our entire wedding list, W.E.D was excellent. They managed to juggle changes for other couples, were clear that communication would occasionally be later than expected, because June/July 2021 became mass chaos in the industry. We got married on July 17th and despite everything W.E.D was going through, they made our day absolutely perfect and once again, my wife was right!

Even if you are on the fence, hire a wedding planner. I'll take that one more step and say hire W.E.D. Lynn and I have complete opposite personalities which was SO needed. She came through in every way you can imagine and I cannot thank her enough.

Lynn, thanks for making me a believer in hiring a planner for significant events, like our wedding. Thank you for your patience as we tried to figure out what would make a perfect day for us. And, lastly, thank you for giving us the day that we dreamed of. Cheers!

Flexible Planning in the time of Covid

We had a great experience working with Lynn! We decided we needed a wedding planner as soon as we got engaged as we both work full time and did not want to devote all our free time on planning a wedding. Lynn worked with us throughout the entire process and helped us plan our dream wedding...AND THEN, Covid happened!

Our dream wedding was large AND indoors, which was no longer allowed under the pandemic rules. In two months we had to cancel/reschedule all our vendors from Wedding #1 and completely plan a new, smaller wedding in our backyard. Lynn was INVALUABLE during this switch. She set up all the new vendors (tents, restroom trailer, food truck, etc.), rescheduled our old vendors, and helped us plan a wedding that wasn't our original vision, but was still gorgeous! There is no way we could have pulled off an entirely new wedding plan in two months without her help and support.

The whole experience of planning a new wedding that was not our original vision in two months was an insanely stressful process which I wouldn't wish on anyone, BUT if you have to do it I would definitely recommend using Lynn! I can't wait to work with her again for our vow renewal!

Incredible Wedding Planner!

Working with Lynn was the most wonderful experience. I have/will recommend her to all of my friends getting married in Michigan. Her worth far exceeds the pricing. I contacted Lynn once my COVID delayed wedding had to be moved outdoors and I was struggling with my vision of the day and how to have it in a tent (never my plan). Lynn was full of wonderful suggestions and support in creating my vision. She helped me connect with vendors for linens and design details and provided many items we were able to rent from her (custom signs, card box, etc) all while working in my budget. She also was extremely helpful in navigating COVID laws and regulations as they changed throughout our planning. We had many calls leading up to the day that helped me feel on track with my planning and reduce my stress. Lynn is very calming and organized, from the moment I had my first call with her I knew I didn't have to worry about anything falling through the cracks. Knowing she was there on the day of the event to have everything run smoothly was the direct reason I was able to enjoy our wedding without constantly wondering if details were being taken care of. Lynn was easily the best investment I made throughout our wedding process! Bonus: she also has an incredibly intuitive online website/program to keep to-do lists, budget, guest list, vendors, notes, etc organized and accessible on your laptop or phone.

Superb Wedding Coordination

Lynn was extremely organized from our initial meeting to our wedding day and was always in constant contact by email or phone. Her attention to detail was extraordinary and she was never short of creative ideas. It was evident in how the aesthetics of the venue beautifully tied in together. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is nearly impossible and Lynn made so much easier. She was always in contact with me following the release/update of an Executive Order. I cannot thank her enough for the time she undoubtedly spent on the online industry boards reading on what could be done. You can tell that wedding coordination is her passion and that she is very knowledgeable.

Lynn also was very helpful in suggesting other vendors- photography, DJ, etc. We used all the vendors she suggested and did not regret it! They were the best!! Lynn picked up on my vision for the wedding very quickly- she understood my style and created it in the most perfect way. Lynn's decor & floral worked flawlessly with our venue's rustic, industrial look. We even stayed under budget!

Lynn's professionalism, attitude, competence, friendliness, and willingness to help made us forget that she was even working on our wedding day. She blended right in with the guests, yet managed to ensure that all events were running on time. Her cheerfulness and thoughtfulness throughout our wedding planning guaranteed that our wedding day was memorable, enjoyable, and how we wanted it to be.

Great experience!

I'll be honest - I was hesitant at first hiring a wedding planner. I never thought I would be that kind of girl. But hiring Lynn was seriously the best choice. I know it sounds cliche, but it really, really was amazing.

Lynn is unbelievably helpful and always asking the questions you wouldn't think to consider. I hired Lynn as my day of coordinator, decorator, and planner. I also used their DJ services (which were great!).

Leading up to the wedding Lynn provided continued support on details, timelines, etc. Her decorating sense is perfect! She gets to know you and what you like and creates the space exactly as what you visioned (or couldn't envision because you're like me and can't decorate at all!).

On the day of the wedding Lynn was there bright and early with decorations and timelines. She communicated with the vendors if there was an issue/concern. The setup and teardown of the wedding was done completley by her and her team. My family and I did not have to do a single thing!

Overall 110% recommend Lynn and her services!!

We live in Kansas and the thought of planning a wedding in Michigan was overwhelming to me. Lynn not only visited Saugatuk and helped us narrow down our choices, but was paramount in securing the contract with the vendor. She provided the most beautifyl flowerr and centerpieces, as well as all the decor. she found the perfect musicans to play for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I was very impressed with her professional approach and timely responses. She was wonderful the day of and kept my daughter and me on task. Lynn was AMAZING to work with. I made the decision to hire a day of coordinator last minute and let me tell you...best. decision. ever. She did a great job rolling with any last minute details that needed changing and everything ran so smooth! Lynn is freaking amazing!!!! My only regret is not hiring her sooner because she would have made things so much easier for me! I hired Lynn as my Day-of-Coordinator for my wedding in June 2018. I also hired the DJ from W.E.D. as well the bartender she recommended. All of them did a fantastic job! Lynn went above and beyond in helping me plan my last-minute details, as well as being an absolute super-star on the big day! I seriously can't recommend her highly enough. Many of my friends and family that helped behind the scenes before and during the wedding mentioned how great she was, not only with getting things done, but getting my other helpers to do what was needed. My wedding event was a mini-destination wedding that had my wedding party all staying in a big house in a rural area for 3 days. The venue only supplies the house, scenic views with a pavilion, and tables/chairs. There were multiple outside vendors, DIY projects, and all sorts of potential mayhem. We even had a transformer get hit by a golf-cart that blew the power to my venue an hour before the wedding. Oh, and there was a thunderstorm with flood warnings for my outdoor wedding and reception. Lynn got everything moved under the outdoor pavilion. She got the venue owner to hustle and get an electrician so our power was restored (all without me knowing the extent of the issue so I wouldn't panic, which was extremely helpful). She helped with so many last-minute issues and craziness, I'll probably never know the full extent of all that she did. Even with all these potential catastrophes, our wedding was absolutely perfect. Everything went very smoothly. My friends and family said it was the best wedding they'd ever attended. We partied all night long. It was so amazing and I can't thank Lynn and her team of rock-stars enough. I recommend Lynn to anyone considering her services. She is an absolute wedding hero and she will go above and beyond your expectations.

Lynn really went above and beyond what I was expecting from my wedding coordinator. As a wedding vendor myself, I knew how important it was to hire someone to manage everything the day of my event. I was also planning my wedding from out of town, and Lynn proved to be an invaluable source for information, guidance, and suggestions. I hired the majority of my vendors based on her recommendations and I was extremely happy with everyone we hired. She's also no nonsense which is really important! She kept everyone on schedule even with a few delays from our shuttle. She even made a run to go get extra ice. I can't imagine how my day would've run without her. My only regret was not paying her more so she could bring an assistant with her! That woman worked so hard and everything looked beautiful. I can't recommend hiring her enough.

W.E.D. provided Décor and Day of Coordination services for our Secret Garden themed wedding in May 2017. From the first meeting with Lynn, she not only understood exactly what we wanted, but was able to make it much more than we could have ever imagined. Walking into the venue before the ceremony, we were speechless at the beauty and attention to detail. With the Décor service, we did not have to worry about set-up or take-down the day of the wedding, which reduced the stress of the day immensely. Her extensive collection gave us lots of different options for table settings, signage, and any other décor we needed. Lynn was always flexible with our meetings, even willing to meet in the evenings. With the Day of Coordination, if something unplanned occurred during the ceremony or reception, we would have never known it. The day before our wedding, our officiant was unexpectedly unable to attend the wedding, and Lynn found us a replacement that same day. This is the type of impeccable service that you will receive when utilizing any service from W.E.D. Lynn and Matt take such pride in their work, and are so invested in the weddings they help plan, that by the time the day shows up they feel like part of the family. We cannot thank W.E.D. enough for helping us to have the most beautiful wedding day that we could have ever imagined.

If you are considering a venue that requires hiring multiple vendors separately, then you should consider a Wedding Coordinator, specifically Lynn with WED. She will help throughout the planning stages with all the detail, coordination between the vendors, and making sure everything is thought out. On the day of your wedding, you don't want to worry if there are enough napkins or if the flowers arrived. Lynn and Matt of W.E.D were absolutely amazing to work with. I initially contacted Lynn for Day of Services but it was so much more than that. Not only did she help me take all my decor ideas and put them into a cohesive look, she also helped me design my invitations, response cards, and menu cards. I wanted something unique and fun and she took all my ideas and made it happen and look even better than I could have imagined. Not only that, but Lynn constantly met with me to make sure I was on track and offered any advice she could to make things easier. Without her, I would have been lost and the planning process would not have been as fun as it was. It takes a lot for me to relinquish control, especially over my own wedding, but I'm glad Lynn was the one to take control of it when it came to putting everything together. Matt was also amazing when it came to being our DJ. He could read the crowd so well and made any musical changes immediately when he could sense that people weren't feeling certain types of music. There were people on the dance floor all night, even the older members of my family! It was so much fun and Lynn and Matt were two of the greatest people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. W.E.D provided my husband and I with DJ services, and Matt did an absolutely amazing job. I could not have asked for more! At most weddings I've been too, over half of the reception is sitting down refusing to dance. He found the perfect music to play to get everyone on the dance floor - even my husband who told me from the time we started planning that he would do our first dance and his special dance with his mother, and that was it. He played all of the music we requested, and paid close attention to our timeline and to what we wanted. The value is amazing. Most DJs we had looked at prior would have been twice as expensive. He did an awesome job, my husband, myself, and our guests were extremely impressed with his ability to read the room and get people up and dancing!

What can I say?! Lynn is absolutely amazing! If you are looking to have a stress free day, and a beautiful one at that, and still stay within a reasonable price point, I highly recommend Lynn.
Initially we hired her for just Décor, but then decided to also use her for day of coordination, that was by far the best decision I made throughout the whole planning process. She kept up with me during the planning, making sure I was on schedule with what needed to be done, and helping me with any little thing that I needed. Our day of went off without a hitch! I can't imagine trying to plan a wedding and then coordinate it without the help from someone like Lynn.
Lynn loves her job and you can tell, she takes pride in all of the small details that most people wouldn't think of, and at the end of the day turns all of into a gorgeous masterpiece. The day of our wedding everything was perfect! I could not get over how beautiful everything was, from the ceremony décor. to the reception décor and centerpieces, it was everything I had hoped for and more. I can not begin to thank Lynn enough for all of her hard work and dedication to our special day. All we keep hearing is how beautiful everything was. Although it was a brief moment and one day, it is a day that I will be remembering forever!

Lynn was our Day of Coordinator and from the moment we hired her she reduced our stress levels by about 80%! And really, she wasn't just a "Day of" help. She met with us throughout the planning process to make sure we were on track, sorted out our to-do's by priority and date, and offered great advice for things we hadn't even though of.

On that actual Day Of, she. was. amazing!! There were showers off and on and we were set on having the ceremony outside until the last minute. When we decided to bring everything inside, Lynn did an awesome job of coordinating the transition and getting everything set up.

I highly recommend Lynn - she's WONDERFUL!! And my mother and I have said over and over throughout the entire wedding process that she was the best investment we made!

Hiring Lynn (W.E.D.) was by far the best decision we made. It wasn't close. It's the only investment you can make that will make every single aspect of your wedding better. I was amazed how many things went into planning a wedding. Things I never would have known. Could you figure that out yourself? Maybe, but it would be really time consuming, stressful, and not as good. She knows the best vendors. She's amazing with final details, DIY arts and crafts, etc. Every. Single. Detail. She immediately understood my wife's vision for our wedding, and her taste on individual items. Lynn SAVED us money. She used her pull with vendors to get us better deals. It's worth it to get the full package, not just day of. She knows where money can be saved and where its worth it to splurge. She'll keep you on budget. She'll keep you on schedule. There's a million things that go into planning a wedding. It's not just knowing what to do, its knowing WHEN to do it. Lynn helped keep everything fun and low stress by perfectly spreading things out over the planning process so we never got overwhelmed. She will MASSIVELY reduce your stress. Lynn will work TIRELESSLY for you. I hate to think what we paid her per hour. It wasn't NEARLY enough. She worked for us for a year. It was very common for me to get an email from Lynn at 11pm, and another the next morning at 630. To say that Lynn is a workaholic is to barely scratch the surface. Lynn truly cares and she will do whatever it takes to give you the perfect wedding. Lynn is a BEAST the day of. She makes sure every detail is perfect. She makes sure the set up is exactly right. She made sure my wife stayed hydrated. She made sure a waiter brought me a plate of food during cocktail hour when I couldn't get away to get it myself. She is absolutely amazing. I really can't say enough. Do yourself a favor. Hire Lynn. Pay for the full package. You will never regret it. Its the best decision you will make.

When I first interviewed Lynn from W.E.D., I thought that I knew exactly what I wanted for my wedding. Not only did Lynn help flush out what I truly wanted, she was able to bring together the most gorgeous and talked-about wedding in my family. Lynn has wonderful connections with numerous vendors and orchestrated everything perfectly. The day went off without a hitch and our wedding has been the talk of our friends and family for weeks after! Lynn is a gem! Creative, patient, passionate, service-minded and on top of every detail. If I hadn't hired her, I would probably be in a straight jacket today. She's always reachable, works hard to understand your vision and bring the vision to life all while keeping your budget in mind, I hired Lynn to provide decor and Day of Coordination services. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My 'vision' for my wedding was not very clear and I was unable to articulate it well to her. She asked good questions and figured it out despite my inability to effectively describe what I wanted. Everything turned out PERFECTLY! Most of the decor for my wedding was custom made by Lynn and her husband Matt (who also served as our DJ - FABULOUS!) in order to perfectly match my dream day. AND....when I realized I had forgot to order coffee from the caterer (as I arrived at the reception venue after the ceremony), Lynn took care of it. A quick trip to Biggby and my coffee loving family members and guests were happy. So many little extras that she provided that went above and beyond for us. We would hire her again and again!!!

We hired Lynn for Day of Services, and never had any regrets. She assisted us with planning our wedding from out of state, and helped us coordinate vendors, made recommendations, and kept track of hundreds of details I never would have thought of. She kept us on track, created a detailed timeline, and communicated with all of our vendors on the day of so that we could enjoy the party. Lynn was an excellent investment- she is experienced, professional, and gives you great advice on all the small things you won't think of. Despite having thousands of details to sort through for all of her weddings, she makes your big day feel like the most important. On the night before our event, she threw together a beautiful bad weather plan when we realized we couldn't hold our ceremony outdoors. We were so thankful she pulled it off without a hitch! Lynn began working with Jim and I in May of 2013 for our September 2014 "destination" wedding. It was a destination wedding for Jim and I as we lived out of state. Lynn was my own personal Wonder Woman who had the ability to really "get us". She was always available to talk and put together the best of who we are into our dream wedding all while sticking to budget. Someone who could incorporate the geek of us into the pretty pretty princess that I became during the process was something to truly admire and appreciate. We hired Lynn as a DOC. She is absolutely delightful to work with and out of all the wedding coordinators I previously contacted, she was the most down to earth and most experienced wedding planner.

Lynn "officially" provided wedding day-of coordination, but what she did was so much more than that. She worked with me between November (when we signed our contract with her) through August to make sure things were coming along. She had so many questions I would have never thought about, and I consider myself pretty organized. Our phone meetings were always extremely thorough and she never made me feel like I was an inconvenience or a lesser client because I didn't use all of her services. She was easy to make appointments with and very responsive via email! Though I didn't use W.E.D. for DJ services, decor or any of the many services they offer, I am sure they are just as 5***** as Lynn's day-of work! The wedding wouldn't have been the same without her! I really cannot recommend her enough!!!!!!!!

I just want to say that our D.J. Matt did an AWESOME job the day of our wedding!! He was very professional and worked with us to give us whatever we needed/wanted. I really can't say enough good things about him as a DJ! He even helped us find my husband's wedding ring when it flew off his finger (which was luckily found!!). I would definitely recommend him to any bride for their wedding! He also definitely kept people on the dance floor, which was one of my main concerns. Where to begin. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lynn, who we booked for DOC. We are one of the first of our friends to get married, so we truly had NO IDEA what we were doing from the start. Lynn helped make sure we stayed on track with our planning without being pushy/overbearing. She was so flexible and really helped our vision (and 10000000000000+ craft projects) come to life. Having her available for questions up until wedding day was so wonderful and I am so happy we booked her! Everything went smoothly (minus a small *hiccup* at the rehearsal :)), and much of that was thanks to Lynn. HIGHLY recommended!

As for Matt (DJ) he was just as wonderful! He read the crowd so well and chose the perfect songs! I felt like he read my mind a few times, too with his choices :). SO incredibly easy to work with, professional, and fun! THANK YOU!

For 10 months I had been busy planning my daughter's wedding. As the date drew near, my daughter suggested I look into a 'day of' wedding coordinator so that I would be able to enjoy the day. I will be forever grateful that my first call was to Lynn. After one conversation I knew immediately that this was the right choice. Lynn reviewed the plans and made significant improvements; completely took over management and execution of all (12) vendors and venue; and did significant troubleshooting the day of the wedding. Through her efforts, the bride and groom and guests had a fantastic day. And I was able to relax and enjoy my daughter's wedding.

Before we met Lynn, my wife was stressed about how she was going to manage everything and still have the pinterest-perfect wedding she wanted. After an hour consultation with Lynn, we walked out of the meeting and I told my wife that if she didn't hire her, I would. As we talked with Lynn I saw my wife lose all of the stress that she had and for the first time looked like she really enjoyed wedding planning. We ended up hiring Lynn for day-of coordination and decor services. My wife and I spend a lot of time with Lynn working out decor details and when I walked into my wedding and saw what Lynn had transformed our venue into, I realized how grateful I was that we hired Lynn to make our wedding so beautiful. The day of the wedding went so smooth and I can say with 100% confidence that it was all because of Lynn. I was able to just enjoy my wedding day and I know my wife did too. It was really special being able to just enjoy this moment and know that we were able to trust EVERYTHING to Lynn. Lynn is affordable, intelligent, creative and just a genuinely kind and nice person. You will not be disappointed if you hire her.

We also hired Matt for our DJ and he was awesome! Music was very important to me and I am so glad I hired Matt to handle the music. He listened to the type of music we wanted and gave recommendations of music that was similar that we might like too. For example, we wanted something original for the cocktail hour and during dinner and he showed us a playlist of acoustic covers for new songs. I would have never thought of this and it was PERFECT. Matt knows his music and is GREAT at reading the crowd. He kept everyone on the dance floor all night and everyone LOVED him! We got a lot of compliments on Matt and I am so happy we chose to use him as a DJ!

I used W.E.D for wedding planning, lighting/decor, and DJ services. Matt and Lynn were simply amazing! Lynn helped me plan my wedding from the very beginning. She provided numerous ideas and recommended great vendors along the way. Lynn spent many hours meeting with me and my groom to make our big day exactly what we wanted. She brought my vision to life! My wedding would not have been possible without Lynn. I mean that very sincerely. Not only did I work full time at a demanding job, my wedding venue was located three hours away from the closest family member on our centennial family farm, I was a five hour flight away, there was a three hour time difference between us, everything needed to be brought to the venue (excluding the barn and dinner bell) and the nearest vendor we could find was an hour away. Talk about a tall order! Lynn was incredibly helpful and didn't blink an eye. We scheduled several hour long phone meetings and just as I thought I had thought of everything, she'd come up with twenty things I hadn't even thought about. E-mail and text responses were always timely and she was always friendly and professional. She came to our rehearsal dinner, had an agenda for each bridal party member and I could sit back and take it all in. The day of also went incredibly smoothly. We were so on schedule I even snuck in a 20 min nap! Unreal! Lynn greeted every vendor, updated them on any changes, she had copies of all my contracts and knew what was expected of each of them, and she warned me about a potential additional photographer charge if we went beyond our scheduled time, which I had completely forgotten about. At the end of the night I had at least twenty people tell me that was the best wedding they had every been to. I owe it to Lynn. She's far underpaid for what she delivers. You won't be disappointed!! Thank you again Lynn!

I am writing to recommend Lynn. She provided day of coordination and decor for our wedding. She was amazing. First, my decor was awesome!! Just beautiful. We has a lot of fruit flies in Michigan around the time of my wedding and Lynn really adapted the decor to make sure it worked well with fruit fly issues. For day of: She kept me sane! She told me all the questions to think through as I planned. I told people I hired someone to essentially task master me to do all the right things in preparing and she did. She answered etiquette questions too and made sure I remembered things like etiquette I might not know (you only get married once). I had a lot of trouble finding a florist and she helped me find someone amazing who fit with the ideas I had for wedding! She was awesome. I was a bride within a budget and Lynn really helps with that too :) I should add I live in Boston and planned the whole wedding from afar and it worked well with Lynn's recommendations of some things/ places she loved.

I wish I could rate more than 5 stars!

I was married last Saturday, 7/27/13, and had Lynn not been there....I don't even want to think about it!

My mom had been planning my wedding since January and things were going well....but I could see that the week of/day of the wedding were going to be a bit chaotic. I reached out to Lynn, who happened to have a cancellation for the day of my event - thank goodness! My mom was a bit resistant at first, having done much of the vendor planning, however after our first call with Lynn, she realized the benefit of having a day of planner. Lynn was responsive, asked all the right questions (and then some), and offered extremely helpful advice, not just for the day of, but throughout the process. She even 'fixed' my hair and makeup appointments by suggesting Nicole's Salon in St. Johns - they were AMAZING, too!

The day of the wedding was much cooler than we had anticipated. I didn't see much of Lynn b/c she was running - literally sprinting - to ensure the guests were ready for our abbreviated ceremony. Later in the evening we had to rapidly shift the dance floor inside due to the cold weather - and Lynn managed that so that very few people even noticed the transition!

My mom and I are SO thankful to have had Lynn as part of our special day. I would HIGHLY recommend her services as a day of planner, and while I did not experience some of the other services she offers, I feel confident in saying that any event she 'touches' will come off without a hitch!

I contacted Lynn less than 2 months before our April 2013 wedding. We planned to do everything ourselves to save money. Of course, as we got closer to the day many things were still not done and my husband and I were trying to finish our dissertations. I called Lynn after a recommendation from another bride using my venue. It was the absolute best decision we made (aside from the whole getting married to each other part).

At first we hired Lynn to do day-of coordination services. We were on a budget and I didn't think we could afford a coordinator at all. I was so glad to be wrong about that! As the day got closer, I was totally overwhelmed with DIY decorations I had half-planned. Thankfully, because we were having a smaller wedding, we were able to hire Lynn and her staff to do the decorations for our venue as well. Her rates were very reasonable and I was kicking myself that I didn't call her a year ago and save myself a lot of stress.

Lynn was very patient, had tons of great ideas, and was always quick to respond to emails and phone calls. I had become so overwhelmed, I really put the creative vision in her hands - and when we walked into the reception, the room looked as I had always hoped it would. It was magical. So many people complemented the decorations. We had our reception in a barn, which was essentially a blank canvas. She added wonderful touches and created a warm, relaxed atmosphere.

I'm not sure whether my husband or I am happier that we hired W.E.D. The first thing you should do when planning a wedding is meet with Lynn and talk over your plans. You will find you get to focus on the fun parts of wedding planning.

Lynn and Matt provided Decoration and DJ services for our December wedding. When we first went with WED we were surprised to find out that their flat rate covered both decoration of our reception and ceremony venue! They were always available to contact and were very responsive. We were also pleased with how hard Lynn worked in scheduling meetings on the weekends for us to meet and go over everything. We were scheduling a wedding from out of town so it was great that Lynn was willing also work out chair rental, and printing of programs with vendors in the area that she knew. We weren't sure what kind of look we wanted to go with but we knew that they were pros to we left a lot up to Lynn and she didn't disappoint. Everything was beautiful and we were happy to see the majority of our guests on the dance floor for the whole evening! We received so many compliments on how beautiful everything turned out. We were so pleased with everything that we would not hesitate to recommend WED to our friends, family, and everyone in the Lansing area!

My new husband and I contacted Lynn just 4 weeks before our wedding for day-of-coordination services. She willingly accepted the task and quickly began offering her guidance and advice. Due to the unusually short timeframe for coordination, Lynn had a lot of catching up to do to understand all of the planning that had already taken place in the many months before. She never once complained or sounded stressed. Instead, she made sure she understood every detail that had been thought out, as well as the vision for our big day. Our wedding taking place in a barn, combined with extensive details for incorporating personal touches of the bride and groom, meant a BIG task for Lynn on the wedding day. Not only did she ensure that all of our details came to fruition, but also ensured that the ceremony went off without a hitch. During the few weeks leading up to the wedding day, Lynn coordinated at least one, sometimes two, phone appointments - showing a great deal of flexibility since we were out of state. She created a detailed wedding day agenda for ourselves and the vendors to outline exactly what the timeline would look like, noting important details that most would never think of - but that contributed to a seamless execution. Lynn ensured that the timeline progressed throughout the evening and dealt with any issues that popped up. After the bridal party's entrance at the reception, Lynn even took drink orders (for a total of 18 people)! I was amazed. I highly recommend Lynn to anyone looking for some help on their big day. She is extremely professional and, without a doubt, understands exactly what is needed to create the wedding of your dreams. I wish we had hired Lynn months before!

My husband and I used W.E.D for all of their services for our wedding: event planning, décor, and DJ services. My husband and I had a unique situation; we had a three year engagement with me living in Arizona and my husband living in Michigan. Friends of ours in Arizona recommended W.E.D, since she planned their wedding in Michigan and they loved her! With a couple of years until our wedding, my husband I decided to meet with Lynn. The moment we met with her, we knew she was going to be a perfect fit for us. For two years, Lynn worked with us by phone conferences, email, and personal meetings. She kept us within our budget and recommended vendors that would complement our personalities and our vision for our wedding. Lynn also helped to make our wedding personal. For example, my husband I are both musicians and we knew we wanted to incorporated music in our theme. With her creativity, Lynn helped to include this theme, along with several others, with such an attention to detail within the ceremony, reception, and décor. In the same way, her husband, Matt, was just as intuitive as our DJ. We met with him and instantly knew we wanted to book him. His song selection perfectly reflected us and our guests were literally dancing all night long. On the big day, Lynn was extremely organized. If there were any “snafus” that happened that day, I did not know about it. Things flowed smoothly and beautifully. Our guests could not stop raving about the décor, the reception, and the music. They said that the wedding was like “personalized Hallmark card” that perfectly captured our personalities and love for each other. They also raved about how well Matt kept the reception lively and entertaining, along with his song choices that kept the party going. We have even had several guests ask for W.E.D’s information for future events of their own. The entire experience was great and Lynn was there supporting us every step of the way! We loved Lynn and Matt!

Hiring W.E.D to do full coordination, decor, and DJ services for our wedding was the best decision we could have made! Even on a very small budget, Lynn was able to pull our vision together and somehow make it more perfect that we had even dreamed of. She skillfully and professionally guided us through every aspect of the planning process and I am so thankful for her. Lynn took away so much of the stress for not only me and my husband, but our familys and guests as well. It made me so much more confident that our day would be perfect. Her ideas and knowledge far surpassed anything that we could have done on our own, and I completely believe that she is one of the main reasons that our day was so special. And Matt is simply amazing as a DJ! Our guest were dancing non-stop from the first song to the very last. Not only are Lynn and Matt amazing wedding professionals, but they are also amazing people. I recommend W.E.D to everyone!

Matt and Lynn were fantastic. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful it was working with them. Their 15 yr anniversary was on our wedding date so hopefully their luck will rub off on us! :) They were so quick to get back to us and Lynn really took the pressure off me as the bride. It was the best money ever spent!

My new husband and I were lucky enough to have a flawless wedding, and it was all due to the professionals we chose to hire for our event. W.E.D. was one of them, and if our budget allowed for more services other than our DJ Matt at that point in our planning, we certainly would have had W.E.D. handle a lot more for us. The price we paid and the service we received was phenomenal - our expectations were exceeded. All communications were timely and informative leading up to our reception, and Matt was completely focused on us the entire night. If there were any guest requests, Matt ran everything by us first, which was very important to us. If you are worried about those horror stories about terrible wedding DJ services, just save yourself the hassle and go with W.E.D.. I know I sound like a spokesperson or something, but we were really impressed.

Lynn is wonderful!!! I booked W.E.D. about a month before the wedding for day-of coordination services. I regret not having her help from the beginning. We live outside Philly and got married in Michigan and planning a destination wedding was extremely stressful. I realized that there was a mountain of things that I needed to do and I didn't know what 90% of them were despite those nice checklists that are out there. From the first phone call, Lynn completely set my mind at ease. Her experience and knowledge were invaluable and as hard as your mom, sisters, aunts, soon to be mother-in-law, ect want to help, they just can't replicate Lynn. For example, I couldn't get information from the church - who was marrying us, setting up the ceremony and music, ect (kind of important things). Lynn had worked with the church before and talked me through the whole situation. She gave great suggestions, advice and recommendations and she was a perfect sounding board to bounce ideas off of. She steered us in the right direction on so many things and I always felt like she had our best interest in mind. She never tried to sell us on things we didn't want and suggested things that we never thought of like some inexpensive pew decorations that look amazing in photos. And then the wedding day...It was wonderful and perfect and the best day of our lives. And honestly, it would NOT have been that way if Lynn did take care of everything. Here are just a few of the things that Lynn did for me in addition to everything behind the scenes - a crystal fell off my dress and she sewed it back on, the bridesmaids needed bandaids for their feet, my dad changed the father-daughter dance song, my sister didn't want to give her toast and she arranged for another bridesmaid to give it, I dropped a giant piece of steak with gravy on my dress and she got the stain OUT!! I could go on and on. Seriously, I can’t recommend Lynn more highly.

We used Matt as our Dj. He was very easy going and laid back and that was what we wanted in a DJ. He kept the kids dancing all night and even some of the people who don't normally dance were up there. He was a great Dj and didn't take over the event like most do. We were happy with our choice.

We had a really fun time with Matt as our DJ. He respected our requests for songs we didn't want played, and also made sure all the ones we did want got included throughout the evening. He did a great job of reading the mood and atmosphere as time went by, and played appropriate music at each stage of the reception. He very easily spoke to the crowd and everything flowed smoothly. We had a blast and he was definitely a big part of it!

Lynn-

In short, I don’t know what I would have done without her. I used Lynn for full wedding planning and décor. There is no way our wedding would have been everything that I dreamed of without Lynn. She spent countless hours helping me plan, think of ideas, and nail down every possible detail to ensure that everything went smoothly. I initially met with Lynn and decided that I really needed her as my wedding planner. I’m one of those people who just “knows” when they meet someone, and Lynn was exactly what I was looking for. (It helped that she already had great reviews!)

At first my mother was hesitant about hiring a wedding planner or anyone to do the decor because she felt that we could do it on our own. After a two hour long decoration and wedding detail meeting with Lynn, my mother left it saying, “thank goodness you have Lynn, because there is no way I could do all of that.” The Sunday after the wedding, my mom sighed and said, “you know what, I’m really glad you had a wedding planner. She made it a lot more fun for us”.

I wanted a unique wedding that wasn’t just your ordinary “flowers in a vase” wedding. I met with other planners and decorators and no else seemed to get the vision that I had or was willing to help me pull all my ideas together. Lynn pulled everything together and made everything come to life. I had many people come up to me and my parents saying that it really was one of the most unique, fun, and best weddings they had ever been to and it was really all because of Lynn.

Everything went smoothly (at least I didn’t know if anything went wrong) and Lynn (and her team) helped me pull of the perfect wedding for us! Thanks Lynn, you are truly a lifesaver and I recommend every future bride to book Lynn.

Matt-

Matt was a great DJ, he really knew how to get, and keep, everyone on the dance floor and keep the evening moving! What I really liked about Matt is that he felt the mood in the room and played the right music at the right time and picked great fill in songs - when my mother-in-law disappeared and we had to wait to cut the cake even though the song was already playing, or when the slideshow went longer than the music I picked, he just kept on going like it was planned. If you're looking for a DJ who will help make your day go smoothly and not be one of those loud and obnoxious DJs, then Matt is your guy! I would recommend Matt to everyone looking for a talented DJ!

Lynn was my all over wedding coordinator and I don’t know what I would have done without her. Lynn was incredible and helped me put on what not only I thought, but my guests also thought, was the most beautiful and fun wedding. My wedding was perfect. Since I live out of state I was not familiar with the local vendors and Lynn helped me hire a great team. There is not one thing I would change about my wedding and everything occurred as planned. Lynn has excellent taste and I grew to value her opinion very much. Lynn even took over to finish the design of some of my printed pieces (menus, escort cards ext.) when the graphic designer was not as responsive as needed. I had the utmost confidence that Lynn would get everything done and I knew no detail would fall through the cracks. Lynn was very responsive and I enjoyed working with her. Now that my wedding is over I really miss talking and e-mailing with Lynn.

Lynn deserves to be paid much more for her services than she charges. She is more than a bargain. Lynn spent a lot of time on my wedding, including driving to other cities to meet with florists and clergy. With Lynn you get an excellent and experienced event coordinator, a very talented designer, a pretty good graphic designer and a compassionate person that is accustomed to helping nervous brides make their dreams come true. I wholeheartedly recommend Lynn.

Lynn is amazing. She is super-human in all respects, above and beyond even with the day of coordination which I hired her for. She was always quick to answer e-mails, even ones that were not urgent. She had great ideas and helped out dealing with any issues with vendors that I had and suggested resolutions to problems NOT related to the actual planning that came up during the wedding. She is incredibly caring and nice. She is smart and knows what she is doing. I have absolutely no idea how she is so organized, but she is. Her day of coordination services were more than worth their price, which was incredibly reasonable as well. I can’t say enough good things about Lynn, she is invaluable and I definitely think she was the smartest “hire” I did for our wedding. From the phone calls and e-mails, to the vendor schedule, to setting up centerpieces and place cards, to making sure everyone was where they needed to be, absolutely incredible. I do not know how the day could have come together as it did without Lynn.
We also hired her husband, Matt to DJ our wedding. Actually, we hired him first before hiring Lynn! Anyway, Matt was fantastic as well, and so nice as well. The price we paid was SO reasonable and included *unlimited* DJ hours. He DJed our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Everything was perfect. He played all of the music we requested and none of the music that we did not want to hear. The lights that Matt used during the reception were great as well! The quality of sound was amazing and we had a great time!
If you are looking for someone to be a day of coordinator, decorator (she does this as well), plan, and or DJ, hired W.E.D. Lynn and Matt are the most professional and smartest vendors we hired, seriously. You cannot go wrong with them! I can’t recommend them enough.

If you are planning a wedding you need WED. Lynn has an outstanding talent for what she does. She has truly found her calling. I hired Lynn as my personally wedding coordinator and décor specialist. The quality of service I received from Lynn was outstanding. She was there for me every step of the way. Getting married is a very overwhelming and emotional thing and you should not have to worry about the details of your day, which is what Lynn is for. Lynn took our dreams and turned them in to a fairy tale. She went above and beyond. The quality of service we received was wonderful, every time I needed her she was there, she responded to my every call, email and text. She called me when I didn’t need her to just say hello and check on me. The professionalism from the very first time I met her was outstanding. She treated my day as it was her own. I booked a complete package with W.E.D. They provided my decor, dj services, day of coordination and helped me plan the event. I would have never made it down the aisle without their help and support. I had the most amazing wedding and the best possible vendors for what I wanted to accomplish and my budget and they helped me find all of them. Every single detail was perfect and that would have been impossible to do without Lynn and Matt. They added some amazing creative elements and gave great guidance regarding possible snafus I wouldn't have even considered. They really work hard for their brides and grooms and are an amazing team. They gave me my fairytale day - worry and stress free what could be a better recommendation?

So you may notice that all my reviews are glowing...I'm pretty sure it's because of Lynn. I had to plan my wedding in Michigan from Arizona, with a 3 hour time difference and I know I could not have done it without Lynn. Here's why you need her:

1) Lynn has made E and I realize the benefit of a third party. She can prompt us to make decisions and bring up the hard decisions encountered when planning a wedding and it didn't end up being an argument. (think E: "you're really spending $900 on a photobooth?" Me "You don't want me to be happy!" sob sob)

2) Lynn really listened to what Eric and I wanted in our wedding and introduced us to QUALITY vendors who fit our vision.

3) Lynn helped us make a vision because as much as we thought we had one when we started, we didn't.

4) Confirmed with all the people so that everything we wanted actually happened.

5) she kept us going with decision making

6) I didn't have to worry what would happen if the cake didn't show or something because I knew Lynn would handle it. (This does not reflect mistrust in our actual vendors, just bridal paranoia)

7) I have to believe that our vendors went the extra mile because they wanted the repeat business from WED. I can't even imagine what could have happened if we were working with vendors for only one day--they could totally not follow through and we would have no recourse because the day was over and we would never see them again.

8) All night long my bridesmaids and guests were asking how I remembered to have snacks on the limo bus (Lynn) or How I thought of having a photobooth (Lynn) or How everything was so thoughtful and planned (Lynn, and me a little. I think I thought of some things).

Her husband Matt is great too--kept the party going. Kept the night going. I didn't have to remember when anything happened because there was Matt telling us it was time to cut the cake or time to dance or whatever event needed to happen. :)

I LOVE LYNN LUCAS. I don't know if I would have gotten through the wedding planning had my wife not hired her. During the wedding planning, she was a great friend, confidant, sounding board, listening ear and at times "attack dog" (lol). Most men think that they will be a part of the planning process but as all the little details come up, it starts to get a little silly and frustrating. Lynn walked us through a lot of this. My wife had already planned a good amount when we were referred to Lynn and about this time, I was checking out of the process all together. My biggest problem was dealing with issues that would arise with the different vendors. Lynn played the role of negotiator to make sure my head didn't explode. I could go on all day but have trouble remembering everything she did to keep me sane. My advice to all brides, HIRE LYNN!!! My advice to all grooms; yes it seems expensive, but all the little petty arguments will never happen if you shave your budget in other areas and hire Lynn. You will not regret it!

Originally when looking to book services I was only looking for decor for the ceremony, but boy am I glad I went with the day of coordinating package as well! Looking back now that my wedding is done, the fact I was going to attempt the day without a coordinator doesn't seem possible!
For the decor I did end up going with - it was beautiful! They had a great selection, and Lynn worked with what I wanted (aka my pinterest board) and had a ton of options to choose from! Our ceremony was beautiful, and exactly as I envisioned it.
As for day of coordinating services... WOW! So. Worth. It. Lynn made the day run ENTIRELY smoothly - from being there with us at our rehearsal the night before, to setting up the decor the morning the day of and working with all my other vendors for me, and to actually making the ceremony and reception go perfect too, I have no idea how she did it! We also experienced a major issue with our shuttle service that Lynn completely took care of! Even throughout the night, she just ensured myself and my husband were having a great time and would confirm any information with us/venue (i.e. bringing pizza out earlier, when running low on wine, etc.).
It truly was a pleasure working with Lynn and I could not recommend her enough. As an out of town bride all I could do was rely on other reviews and I was not at all disappointed! Also as a bride, in my early planning process I completely underestimated the need for a day of coordinator and now I am SO glad I got one. This is your day, and dealing with vendors, decorations, problems that pop up, etc. is not something you will want to do. Enjoy your day, and trust Lynn!!! Thank you so much Lynn!

Lynn was fantastic to work with and I was able to work with her in pulling off a fantastic wedding in a four months! She was very professional, component, and knew a lot of local vendors who in turn were great and were accommodating on very short notice. I could have never secured those vendors on my own. She also walked through everything and was prepared (and did address!) any last minute hiccups.
Please consider Lynn as your wedding planner, you will not be disappointed!! She will work with you to make your wedding vision a beautiful memory!

My wife and I were incredibly impressed with Matt and how great of a job he did on our special day. He was incredibly flexible and provided the perfect amount of input without stepping on toes or being overbearing. We were nervous during the planning stages because they didn't want to have our final meeting until no more than 2 weeks before the wedding. Not really sure if that's standard or not but we were quite stressed. It turns out we were stressed about nothing since he did such a wonderful job. He also provided the music for our ceremony and a mic for the vows. I couldn't have imagined it would go any better.

We booked W.E.D for day of coordination, decor, and DJ. Thanks to Lynn and Matt, everything turned out perfect! When I first started looking for wedding vendors, I was pretty off put by most of them, they were rude pushy, etc. ( I am not a big fan of the wedding industry…) With Lynn I was relieved to find someone down to earth, yet still experienced and professional. I can't count how many times my husband and I were like "Thank god we booked Lynn." My wedding was complicated, a mix of Indian, American, Muslim and Christian traditions. We booked her over a year in advance, and were continually making changes as we figured out how to pull off a fusion event (and please both sides of the family). Lynn had never done an Indian wedding, but she was eager to learn and be creative and patient with us. This included two fancy stage set-ups, beautiful centerpieces, dessert tables, and some very last minute changes and problem solving. Added bonus, we saved money by using some of the vendors she recommended. Planning our ceremony was hard, and I do not think we could have pulled it off without Lynn. After the rehearsal, we were so relieved thinking this might actually work out. In the end it was perfect. We also loved having Matt as our DJ! We did a pretty poor job of telling him our music preferences, but he was great at reading the crowd and got people on the dance floor. He was also great as an MC and was super patient with us as we had a few glitches in the schedule. Matt and Lynn both helped everything go smoothly and thanks to them it turned out perfect and everything was beautiful.

Lynn and Matt were always quick to respond to emails and phone calls -- they answered every question I came up with. They also had no problem when I changed a mom/groom dance the night before the wedding!
Even though I originally hired them for DJ services, I also used their design services for backdrop lighting behind the head table.
Lynn was so helpful and offered a ton of invaluable advice.
Matt was a responsive and good DJ who learned the mood of the crowd. Our guests didn't leave the dance floor until after the lights came on at the end of the night!
Multiple guests said that it was the most fun they have had at a wedding!
I highly reccommend them! There is so much value in their services, I really am thankful they were available for my big day.

Well worth every penny!

I utilized partial planning services with Lynn of Wed Inc. and was extremely satisfied with the quality of assistance received. Lynn is organized, responsive, encouraging, motivating....everything you could want in a day-of coordinator. She utilizes high-end software which is also exceedingly helpful to the process. Many times throughout planning I said...."I don't know what I would do without Lynn."

She was equally helpful, if not more so, on the wedding day. She was very flexible to meet our specific needs, firm when she needed to be, and all-around added to the perfection of the day. I would recommend Lynn to friends and family in a heartbeat.

We used Lynn for day of coordination and she was wonderful on the day of the wedding. I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING. Someone stepped on my dress and a bustle came out, bam, she was there with a safety pin. Guests were getting hot, bam, she went and got the venue to turn up the A/C.

The reception was set up perfectly, and the ceremony went off flawlessly because of her direction the night before.

I gave her a 4 for professionalism, not because she wasn't a professional, but because in some of our meetings she was a little abrasive. I'm sure it's just because she wanted everything to be great for our wedding day, but I sometimes felt a little judged, or offput by things she said to me or even how she said them. That's not saying she isn't a friendly person, because she definetely is! However, if you're a sensitive person, you may need to be aware of that!

She did help me think of things I had missed, or helped with ideas in our meetings and was always willing to help me with whatever I needed!

I would totally recomment Lynn to anyone planning a wedding!

Lynn was the first vendor we hired, and she was great throughout. In our first meeting she took one look at my pictures and suggested the perfect venue for us, then called them on the spot to see if they were available on the date, and arranged for us to go see it. At every meeting, she would listen to my plans - no matter how bizarre - then ask detailed questions I had never thought through and point out any concerns or issues that would never occur to me. If I said I didn't care, she let it go, if she pointed out something that was a problem, she helped come up with a solution. The day of, everything went smoothly and I didn't need to worry about a thing, because she was there throughout to take care of it - for instance, the pouring rain was causing a little puddling around the edges of the venue because their drains were backed up, and she made the venue take care of it and had towels and mops on hand in case it rained more - and I knew her experience was backing all the decisions we made, even on stupid little things like how many candles did I need to buy for the room to really look nice. She also knew what was realistic to plan on doing the day of and in the days leading up to the wedding, so I didn't over-commit myself at the last minute. In all, she helped make the day very laid back and low stress, allowing me to have the most fun day of my life.

I asked Lynn to help with my wedding about 3ish months in advance for day-of planning. I live in Florida now but my wedding was in Michigan. She helped recommend a DJ because Matt was already booked that day and also helped narrow down a few photographers she knew in the area. She did a great job with making me realize what I needed to get done immediately and help prioritize things. I always came out of our meetings with a list, which is helpful to me! It pays off to plan in advance in order to have a stress-free wedding day.

I worked with Lynn for almost a year planning my wedding. I was planning it from a far and I thought it would be helpful to have a wedding planner. There were many aspects of working with Lynn that were really helpful. She knows the wedding vendors in the Lansing/East Lansing area very well and was able to easily give me a few good choices in my price range, which made selecting them much easier than if I was doing it on my own. Her prices are very reasonable for the amount of contact we had and she was very accessible over the phone, e-mail or text. The day of the wedding ran very smoothly and wasn't stressful for the family because she kept everything moving on schedule. There were some areas related to professionalism and flexibility that were a little bumpy. More specifically I often felt like I was being chided by her when I brought up ideas. For example, I wanted to meet with the guitarist and hear him play to help me decide. She told me that he would make too little on my wedding to bother him to meet with me. This also extended to my mother when she brought up ideas that didn't fit with the budget or my ideas. To be fair, I didn't have a lot of clarity around my wedding and my mom was interested in having my dream wedding be her dream wedding, which I can understand may have been frustrating at times, but a more professional response and a little bit more flexibility would have been appreciated. Also, there was some confusion about whether I was to contact the vendors or if she would do so on my behalf. Since I was still doing all the work of selected the menu, deciding which pictures should be taken, selecting the music, etc, it was often just as easy for me to contact them then to go through her. Overall, I would say Lynn is worth her weight in gold in her knowledge of vendors and her ability to make the day of the wedding go smoothly, but I would meet with her and make sure your personalities jive before hiring her.
