    She made my dream come true (even during a pandemic)

    I know some people don’t read long reviews so here is the short one and below is the long, which I HGIHLY recommend reading. If you want your day to go smoothly, BOOK HER. If you want the planning process to go smoothly, BOOK HER. If you want someone that is extremely personal and fun, BOOK HER! I am extremely type A and I know if it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have been able to make it through the planning process, especially during COVID.

    Lauren was the biggest reason that on the day of the wedding I was running around the venue having the time of my life and not worrying a lick about anything. I ended up doing all my own centerpieces so I went through and purchased all my own decor and ATTEMPTED to organize it in a way that would be helpful for her to put out and she not only made it look PERFECT, she also did it without any help or direction from me on the day of! There were so many of my guests that commented saying it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to and it for sure would not have been that way if it wasn’t for Lauren. Also, all throughout the day, the getting ready all the way to the cleanup, she was there. I never had to wonder where she was, what was taking so long, or if there was an issue because she was always available. I even had family members talking her up days after the big day! I could go on about her for so long but I have told her over and over again that I couldn’t have done it without her. SHE WAS PERFECT!

    Not even a pandemic could stop Lauren from making dreams come true.

    My best friends wedding was scheduled for early May and unfortunately had to be canceled due to the shelter in place. I was supposed to officiate their wedding and they were devastated as their date was sentimental to them as a couple. Their wedding planner, Lauren, from EventSmith suggested a private roof top ceremony for the two of them at their home so they could still have their significant date and a celebration later on with their vendors. Not only did she renew their excitement for their future rescheduled ceremony during an emotional pandemic she knocked their private roof deck ceremony out of the park. She arrived early with flowers and candles to decorate their altar, helped them set up multiple cameras, iPads, and computers so their family could tune in via Zoom throughout the world, and photographed their ceremony for them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming through for them and making them feel special and loved on their wedding day. If you want an event planner that is professional, punctual, and cares about your even as much as you do, hire Lauren at EventSmith!

    Love Lauren!

    To whoever reading this and debating using Lauren for any service, I recommend her. She did the floral arrangements for my wedding and they came out absolutely perfect! She was very understanding when I had to keep adding things on and taking off and altering them. My wedding flowers came out amazing and I would use her again. She’s also very sweet and helped her fiancé take our wedding photos and she was amazing!

    Life Saving Service

    Lauren with Event Smith was a saving grace for my Day of Coordinator! She was available bright & early and was working & with me until the tail end of the night. Lauren was incredibly attentive to my needs, listened & executed everything perfectly! She was so on point with the details that you don’t take in to consideration & allowed me, my mother & my MOH to be able to be free of stress & enjoy our day! I highly recommend!

    I had the pleasure of having Lauren help me with Day of Coordinating for my wedding on October 8, 2016. She was super helpful and super sweet and awesome! I was late of course, and she was there waiting on me outside at the venue and came to my rescue! I would highly recommend her!

    Lauren is so worth the investment!! She has a great personality and you can tell she truly loves what she does. We hired her for day or coordination and she helped make everything flawless! She busted her back helping us set up and made sure everything little detail was done just how I imagined it. I cant express how lucky I was to come across her and have her participate in our big day!

    My wedding would not have been possible without Lauren Burnham from Vintage Indulgence! She created the most beautiful ceremony and reception space I had ever seen. Everyone was complimenting on how beautiful it was. If you want a breath taking wedding, you HAVE to book with Lauren!

    She worked some magic at my wedding! She was great coordinator and great at fixing so many issues I had with other vendors. She even has skill with the " Monster" in law, and I had a Doozey for sure.
    My venue did not have our sparklers for our exit and like magic she saved the day with sparklers! Best choice was having Lauren as my coordinator!! Thank you Lauren!

    I could not have better things to say about working with Lauren at Vintage Indulgence. Throughout the planning process, Lauren was attentive, organized and resourceful. My husband and I hired Lauren as our day-of coordinator for our August 6th wedding and she was impeccable! She is easy to contact and easy to work with - she helps relieve the stress of the wedding planning process! There are not enough words to describe how grateful we are for Lauren being part of our special day and now our lives! She is quick and knows how to handle situations on the spot. One example is; the catering company we were working with lost communication with us two weeks away from our wedding date. We got with her immediately and she contacted the best BBQ cater she knew and set up an at home tasting for us two days later. The rest is history. She is very good about keeping to schedule and adapting accordingly. Not only did we have Lauren for our day-of coordinator, she also did our flowers and rentals. She has a stunning vault of rentals for any style and if she doesn’t have it, she will find it. Lauren knew my husband was in love with a piece she had, so she made it a point to create an amazing alter with it as a surprise. If you need a coordinator, pick Lauren at Vintage Indulgence because, not only does she do an amazing job, but she does it with a warm heart and is very professional, in a friendly way! I am quite confident when I say that if you book Lauren for your full wedding planning (or partial wedding planning) that you will have a beautiful wedding experience! My husband and I would recommend Lauren at Vintage Indulgence to absolutely anyone!

    Lauren is absolutely AMAZING and I can't say enough great things about her!! She did a fantastic job as our day-of wedding coordinator. Her communications were always extremely prompt, and she made great suggestions about the setup/decor throughout the planning process. The day of the wedding, she got everything set up and put into place before the ceremony began, and was there all day ensuring that everything was running on time. We also used a number of Vintage Indulgence rental items, and our wedding guests LOVED everything. I'm positive that without Lauren and all of the VI rentals, our wedding day definitely would not have been nearly as smooth or beautiful. Lauren's services are very affordable and worth EVERY penny. Hiring her was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a talented and creative wedding planner!

    Lauren of VI is the whole package! I came into contact with her just 5 short months before my wedding, when I finally decided that I just couldn't do it all myself. She seamlessly picked up and helped in every imaginable way to make my dream wedding become a reality. I could not have done this without her. She has the skill to work with any budget, has a rental vault any bride would gush over, the eye and organization to style any theme elegantly, and even did the flowers for my wedding too! Lauren is funny and kind, she will keep a bride cool and collected in moments stress or anxiety. When it rained out of no where the day of my outdoor wedding (as it does in Houston), and I had no backup plan because I'm too much optimist and too little realist, Lauren worked back breaking magic so my husband and I could still have our fairy tale. She is hands down the most caring, hard-working, honest, in-it-for-her-brides do it all planner you could ever ask for. I was so fortunate to have found her, and you will not regret choosing this incredible company and Jackie of All Trades to help plan your day.

    I couldn't be happier than I am with Vintage Indulgence and Lauren. She is a fabulous wedding planner with a vision that really takes in all that the bride & groom want and then makes it a reality. My big day never would have been as special without her in it. You can rely on her to get everything done....and she is FUN & AMAZING to work with every time you talk to her. She makes you feel like you are the only person that matters at the moment. That is a true gift! If you choose Lauren and Vintage Indulgence, you can cast worries away and know that everything is going to be PERFECT!!     Lauren did amazing for our wedding this past weekend. I was absolutely in love with all the special pieces she brought to our big day. Our backyard looked the way it did thanks to all her rentals! She was so fun to work with and kept in close contact the entire time. I definitely recommend her to anyone needing some awesome decor pieces!!!

    Lauren Burnham owner of Vintage Indulgence was so fun to work with from the very beginning . She made our daughters day so special and beautiful with her selection of her rentals. We were so pleased and it is definitely evident she thoroughly enjoys what she does. She works with your budget and is an amazing woman. Love her! Going to miss her now that the wedding is over.

    Lauren was very eager to provide her rental services to me for our October wedding! Her rentals were the most affordable we found in the area. For example, we really wanted to rent wine barrels for reception decor and had almost given up due to the high rental price that most places charge. I found out about Lauren and her business on Bride to Bride, a page on Facebook, and she told me her cost was half of what we'd been finding and she even threw in an additional item at no charge. She was very flexible when we wanted to keep adding items, too! We both wanted to meet in person before the big day to familiarize ourselves with each other, but the distance from Baytown to Spring was too much...she still emailed me over a rental contract and sent pictures of everything we wanted for our wedding!! She delivered and picked up what we rented at the venue at the times she promised... She definitely exceeded our expectations!!

    Lauren was so great to work with! She was very responsive and had creative ideas. Loved her inventory, I was able to decorate my wedding without buying a ton of stuff I would have no use for after the wedding. Highly recommend!

    Lauren was great!

    Lauren was a wonderful day-of coordinator! We planned most of our wedding on our own and trusted Lauren to make sure everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. We met with her in advance and she helped us finalize everything and made sure to get to know us. She was at the venue bright and early in the morning and helped us get everything set up quickly. Lauren worked great with getting our other vendors set up. I did not have to worry about anything on our special day and everything went smoothly. Not a single thing went wrong on that day and my family and I got to relax and enjoy it. It was a great decision for us to use her as our coordinator.

    Lauren was one (out of 12) of the coordinators I interviewed as soon as I became engaged. I originally ended up hiring someone else but kept in touch with Lauren who was always kind when I needed to vent and get advice. When my other planner was unable to continue 3 months prior to my wedding, Lauren generously stepped in at no charge since my first planner did not refund my money. We brought Lauren with us to my hometown in Alaska to coordinate the day of. Things appeared to be fine for the first few days we were there but the days leading up to the wedding, Lauren slowly began to ignore my calls/texts/emails and acting very cold, bitter, and annoyed for reasons I didnt understand. Her attitude made me feel very uncomfortable and awkward. She put on a beautiful wedding day which Im grateful for but the very next day when it was time to clean up, she was MIA. Once she finally showed up, she treated me like I had done something wrong, I felt very uneasy around her that day and there was no reason for it. Two days after the wedding is when my husband and I left to go on our honeymoon. That same day I received nasty texts from Lauren about how awful of a time she had and how disappointed she was in her experience and in me ( I honestly do not know what I had done). Apparently her Alaskan work vacation did not meet her expectations and she proceeded to make me feel bad about that. The days after my wedding, I received comments from several local residents regarding Lauren's excessive drinking, behaviors, attitude, attire on the wedding day, and unprofessionalism. I was told by multiple people that they overheard her talking very badly about me, mocking the local residents, and trashing my "hick" town. Im not sure what I did to deserve that but she made me feel awful. Still to this day I dont know what I could have done or said that would have been so terrible that she felt the need to be so destructive. I was impressed by her work but not her bed side manner.

    Jacquie,

    I am so sorry that you feel this way. And I am sorry for the late response, I had to take time to get the emotion out of my reply because it is heartbreaking that any of my clients ever feel like I did not exceed any and/or all expectations. Everyone is entitled to their opinions however, I KNOW that I went above and beyond for you, more than I have ever for any of client therefore, my account of the entire experience was MUCH different.

    When you came to me (in your 12 interviews) to plan your Destination Wedding to a remote location (a logistical feat in itself) in ALASKA (the most breathtaking place EVER), I was at the top of the list. By the end of the interviews, you chose another planner over me, whom you paid in full. This said person disappointed you on many occasions and I stepped in (on my own time, without a dime) to assist, advise and consult you through the planning process when the planner you paid was not there for you. After about a year of this, you FIRED your original planner and I stepped up to the plate for you FOR FREE!!!! In addition to planning your event, working with all of your vendors, managing your event, and attending countless meetings with you, you were unsuccessful in solidifying a florist and I stepped in a made magic. Not only did I find a way to get flowers to your location, I busted my hump assembling them for you as well! (Again, for NOT ONE DIME).

    Fast forward to the week of your wedding. You arranged my travel accommodations for me but let's state some facts. The flight that was provided for me was a flight on a buddy pass (FREE to you) which is stand-by, with 3 stops to get to your location (absolutely no problem, any thing I can do to help keep my client's costs down). This was at least an entire day of travel and I flew with some of your decor to assist you in getting more things wedding to AK (again, any thing I can do to help)… In addition to my flight, I arrived 3 days before you event to assure that all things wedding were perfect. I was told that upon my arrival, I would have access to a car, only upon my arrival did I learn that I would be sharing your brother's car with 7-10 other people, walking ended up being my primary means of transportation (in the rain the majority of my stay). You did take care of arranging my stay and my accommodations were GREAT, the family I stayed with was amazing, their basement was cozy and will forever be friends of mine! However, staying with a local family again cost you ZERO. In addition to all of the errand running I did with you, I was able to get to the airport and pick up all of the flowers that I had shipped in (TONS of flowers) and got to work. I was able to find a multitude of tools and buckets to prep and store the flowers and all of the flowers made it in excellent shape (because my wholesaler connection is magical!). I picked people up from the airport as they arrived and work tirelessly to make sure I transformed the local community center (basically a gymnasium) into a pink magical wonderland full of flowers and elegance) along side all of the local and traveling vendors (whom also are forever friends and I adore (and have invited me back to town)).

    Wedding day, I worked like a crazy person to get all of the moving pieces perfect, moving locations due to the rain and setting up TWO ceremony sites for you (one in the rain, I was drenched) all while being berated and belittled for moving it inside (it was the best option and the keyboardist could NOT have equipment in the rain, in spite ALL my efforts). The rain did stop for a short time and we were able to get some pictures at the original location and the photos are magnificent. Once the reception started, I worked with the Catering Staff, Venue Staff, and the DJ to ensure you had the most amazing wedding to ever hit your home town. People are still talking about it from what I understand (because I still talk to people in AK).

    I am sorry that you think that I did not dress professionally, fashion is my thing and I always aim to be stylish and professional (in many meetings previously, you always complemented my attire) and I always dress accordingly at my events. I wore a dress and a sweater that matched your color scheme and theme and I tried to fix my hair the best I could after the multiple locations, deliveries, pick ups and set ups in the rain...

    To address that I was NO where to be found after the event for clean up is the biggest farce of the entire review… At the end of the night, when everyone was gone, I picked up all of the centerpieces, all of the linens, all of the trash, all of the everything and place everything to one table for you and your family to pack up and distribute for it’s return back to TX (I basically did a pre-clean/pre-breakdown the night before). I did return the next day to help you and the entire team (the traveling vendors and the caterer) get it packed up and loaded by working in the venue for hours. You did order a vinyl floor decal that was placed on the floor and removal was near impossible and you called in reinforcement to help (including wedding guests). THAT Is the ONLY thing that I did not assist with in the cleaning process because I was cleaning and packing EVERY thing else... all while you were on your phone "supervising." After clean up, I stopped to have lunch and you continued to ask more and more of me and that was the last straw for me. I had had enough giving and you taking and I set a limit and stood up to you. (THAT is where our relationship ended and you set out to leave me an awful review). The days after your event, I was still in AK, event a few days after you were gone… Since I flew in on a buddy pass, it was up to the mercy of the Airline for me to get a flight out of there. I tried for 3 days and the ONLY was I was able to leave, get back to my clients and the hurricane coming, we to BUY a FIRST Class ticket (a 17 minute flight) for several hundred dollars (much to your I don't care attitude) to get to the next town (and that was ONLY because the amazing airline employee cared enough to give us options and made sure we were able to get out). And when I asked you to at LEAST pay for that you told me, “You knew what it would be like to fly Standby,” and it is none of your concern... (sigh).

    As for the attack on my character I would like to set the record straight, if I may... those "HICK" people you were told I was talking about... I am absolutely mind blown that any chatter of that sort was conveyed to you. Every single person I met was amazing and I am still connected to several of them. I did take a couple nights to go out drinking with the vendors and locals (to relax from all of the work I did for you) and I had the best time and absolutely fell in love with the entire town. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and I would love to return one day with my family. I had the most amazing time in Alaska and yes I did do some once in a life time things, thanks to the locals, and I will forever cherish my 10 days in AK! Alaska is an expensive place, my entire trip (food, excursions, etc) was 100% funded by me and received not one penny for several different services provided. However, I do not regret any decision I made and I have written this Event down in the record books as an EPIC wedding, an EPIC trip and an EPIC learning experience. THIS wedding and YOU as a client has transformed me as a person and a business owner in so many ways. I have changed my contract, I have set limits and boundaries and I know my worth. I chose clients who appreciate me and value me as a professional.
