I had the pleasure of working with Desiree Adams and her team at a recent wedding at Gelso & Grand in New York City. Desiree was professional, communicative, prepared, thoughtful and intelligent throughout the process, but never overbearing. She gave all of the professional team space to do their best work.
I've since come to love Verve's newsletter and podcast (available on Spotify and various platforms). Desiree's information is topical, concise and well presented with no filler.

Dream Wedding Weekend!
I would highly recommend working with Verve Event Co.! Desiree is a true professional who is highly organized and will make the planning much less stressful for you! She cares very much about her clients and will always do her best to make sure your day is perfect! This review is long overdue. Other than choosing my husband, choosing to work with Desiree was the best decision that we made for our wedding. Desiree is the most organized, put together, knowledgeable, helpful wedding planner/ person I have ever met. We knew an overall vision of what we wanted for our day but I had no idea how to actually make it a reality. Desiree made our vision come to life and even added special details to make our day uniquely ours. Even elements that I couldn't really put into words or have a picture to show her she was able to make happen! It honestly was like she could read my mind! My mom actually said during the planning process "when I count my blessings I count Desiree twice" and it is so true. Even my husband, who was very skeptical about hiring a wedding planner to begin with could not stop talking about how amazing Desiree and her team were, and how worth it it was the morning after our wedding. The actual day went on without a single blip. Everything was on time, smooth and perfect! We still have guests that comment about how amazing our day was and specifically point out how smooth it went. That was all thanks to Desiree and her team. Desireé’s professionalism, work ethic, and fun to be around personality is priceless and that is why it is easy to recommend her to any client looking for a wedding planner!! As a fellow wedding vendor doing videography working with Desireé made the preparation before the day and on the wedding day flawless. You can’t help but be impressed by the attention to detail. She is very organized and puts the clients and vendors at ease with a well though out schedule. I loved her use of tiny cards she gave every one that outlined the schedule of the day. I referred to her cards a lot and even smiled when the Bride and the groom used it as well. Before I hired Desiree, I was overwhelmed with the thought of coordination on the day of my wedding and the weeks leading up to it. I could not imagine how I would do it all, but also had no one to pass it off to. I chose Desiree because I knew right off the bat we were on the same page. She was prompt when getting back to me, extremely professional, and it was clear she set up great processes to be efficient and helpful for her clients. I reached out to her in the first place because her reviews were amazing on The Knot. My favorite part about working with Desiree is that she allowed me to have the time of my life at my wedding. I mean that in the least cliche way possible. I never have and will probably never feel as stress-free and joyful as I did on my wedding day. My husband noticed and was so grateful she was there to make that possible. I almost want to cry thinking about it because I will never be able to thank her enough for giving that to my husband and me. Also, nothing went wrong, and I have no idea how that is possible. Everyone told me I should expect something to go wrong, and if I did, I had no idea! Desiree ran a tight ship and was worth literally every single penny. I have been singing her praises to all of my friends getting married. She had done a fantastic job positioning herself as not just an amazing wedding coordinator, but an experienced and knowledgeable resource for the entire wedding industry and brides. -

Before I hired Verve Event Co., I felt overwhelmed and scared to plan my wedding. I was concerned if it would be worth the extra expense and if we would get along for the many months we would be working together. We hired Desiree for Full Service Planning because I felt like she was going to give our wedding a lot of attention and make it really special. The other planner I interviewed seemed like her weddings were much more formulaic and she didn't seem to be as creative. I am so glad we chose Verve Event Co. because it was the most beautiful wedding ever!! Tim (my husand) and I were also able to really enjoy it and just focus on having a great time with our guests because I knew Desiree was taking care of everything. It was awesome :) The room was so stunning and I was so happy with how it turned out. Desiree really did a seriously great job on pulling together the whole design - from the table settings, to the flowers. We had a "floral cloud" and everyone was in awe of it. People also loved all the vendors we chose, from the band, to the venue, to our signature cocktail named after our fur baby. My favorite part about working with Desiree was she made me feel really comfortable and like she had everything taken care of. I had multiple people tell me leading up to the wedding that I was the calmest bride they've ever seen, which is not my normal demeanor. But I knew Desiree had it under control and that it was going to be beautiful no matter what. Also, she worked with us as we continued changing what the overall "feel" of our wedding would be. We ended up changing our minds about what style of event we wanted in the beginning and she was super accommodating and understanding. She was also super organized and creative at the same time. I felt like she kept us on task and made sure we completed things on time, but also had great ideas for the design of the day. This was important to me because not everyone is so talented at both aspects of the planning. I loved having Desiree as our planner because I knew she was looking out for us every step of the way. I wish we could have Desiree planning the rest of our married life as well! -

Katherine Sent on 07/20/2018Desiree and Verve were nothing sort of amazing! She helped us plan a wedding weekend that wow'd us and our guests. Unbelievable professionalism, planning, and vision. Our goal was to host a "wedding festival" at somewhat off-the-grid location. Desiree helped us realize our vision - to our delight - including a rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception. We had the added complexity of planning this from another state. Desiree helped us plan other aspects like kids activities, swimming, yoga, bride and wedding party hair and makeup, photographer, flowers and guest gifts (there are too many to mention!). She is exceptionally organized and tracked every agreement and payment schedule. She was especially great at helping us find vendors that met our quality and experience goals (from the band, to the rehearsal dinner caterer, to the t-shirts, ice-cream truck, tent rental and more). She handled the big challenges, like how to build a stage in the middle of a hay field, and the small, like how to find golden milk bottles to use as vases, with equal ease and grace. She was an absolute pleasure to work with - always positive and upbeat. During the weekend, she was an incredible Ambassador for our family. If you have an event that requires vision, a best-in-class guest experience and are looking for a detail-oriented detailed planner, Desiree and Verve Events are for you. If you are lucky enough to partner with Desiree, you will also have fun in the process! It was the event of our lifetime and we couldn't have done this without her and her own VERVE!

Desirée Adams was absolutely fantastic to work with! I highly recommend Verve Event Co. to anyone needing any event planning done. Desirée was very friendly and professional. Her worldliness, connections, involvement, and skill were greatly appreciated. She was able to come up with a stylized event that was composed artfully, seamlessly, and completely jaw-dropping. I am a professional makeup artist based out of Rochester, NY and in my 16 years of working in this industry, I have worked with many different vendors and Desiree is by far one of the most people to cross my path. She and I worked together for a wedding several years ago and it was the best experience. Her attention to detail was unparalleled, her communication was so clear and friendly and you can absoltely tell that her heart is poured into everything that she does.
I wish I had known Desiree when I got married (many, many moons ago) because she is certainly a treasure!!! -

A Highly Talented Event Planner!
