We got our wedding cake made at Veronica's Sweetcakes. They were super easy to work with and matched our vision perfectly. They let us try many flavors at our tasting and walked us through all of our options. We had the chocolate and Reese's flavor. They provided allergy friendly cupcakes as well that were catered to the allergies present at our wedding. Our wedding guests are still talking about how much they loved the Reeses flavor.

Stunning and delicious
Just wow! The cake was not only beautiful but delicious!! Everybody said it was the best cake they’d ever had in their life. The fluffiest vanilla cake with strawberry frosting in the middle. I’m not a cake person but it was honestly out of this world. It tasted like the frosting was made with the freshest strawberries. AMAZING!

I had looked everywhere for a company that would not only do cupcakes/a small cake for me, but would also set up the desserts the morning of the wedding. Wow, amazing!
We are so happy to have chosen Veronica's Sweetcakes for our wedding cake last year. My Dream Wedding Cake!
When my husband proposed and we began planning our wedding, I told him the three most important things to me were the dress, the photos, and the cake. Veronica's Sweetcakes did NOT disappoint!
I didn't have a cohesive vision for the cake, but during the tasting I showed Veronica a bunch of pictures of wedding cakes I liked, and she drew up gorgeous design for me. She and her whole team were super helpful and supportive throughout the entire process-- even with a couple of venue changes and a huge change in the guest count after my husband and I decided to have a micro wedding instead of the big affair we had originally planned!
And the cake itself (white almond with lemon filling and buttercream frosting) was simply divine. I can't wait for our one-year anniversary so we can finally dig into that top tier sitting in our freezer!
All in all, working with Veronica's Sweetcakes was an amazing experience. Give them a shot-- you'll be glad you did.

We use Veronica’s Sweetcakes for everything!!
When I was thinking of a bakery to go to for our wedding cake was thinking of local places to try and go and taste their cake, and after a few bridal shows it came to me - why am I even doing this search? Every time we need a cake for a special occasion and I’m not making one we go to Veronica Sweetcakes, so why wouldn’t I just go there first?
We had our cake tasting with Maryann and every cake and filling flavor she gave us I wanted. As much as I wanted to try more, I didn’t wanna make the decision even harder. So we decided on four different cakes with four different filling flavors. Our cake was three tiers and we had a sheet cake outback. We also got a separate cupcake for a friends birthday at the wedding and several gluten-free cupcakes. Maryann was very accommodating for all of this and the communication and checking in before the wedding was good.
When it came to design, I gave a rough idea of the elements in which I wanted on the cake and gave creative freedom to Maryann and her team, they did not disappoint. The cake was everything I wanted aesthetically and everything I wanted taste wise. Everyone raved at how great the cake was and I don’t think there were any leftovers.

I loved how they worked with me on my toilet paper wedding cake so much that I ordered 2 other cakes for them for additional celebrations in the month of June. They are kind, efficient, professional, and I couldn't have asked for a more relaxed wedding morning knowing they would deliver the cake!

We had a 4 tiered wedding cake made here. Each layer with a different flavor and filling. The lemon with lemon filling was hands down my favorite! The vanilla with strawberries and whipped cream filling was a close second! I have a few family members with celiac's disease and Veronica's Sweetcake's was able to make separate cupcakes for them as well (which my guests said were a total delight!--as it is hard to find good gluten free deserts). I'd highly recommend this bakery for your wedding needs! You won't be disappointed!!

I grew up in Marshfield, MA and always wanted my wedding cake to be from Veronica's Sweetcakes...and I am SO glad I did! Marybeth was so nice and accomodating and I honestly think that my wedding cake was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen...and I keep getting guests telling me that " that was the best cake I have ever had!" We got the fresh strawberry filling with the golden cake and it was just delicious! Our September 21, 2019 wedding was just wonderful as was our cake!

Hands down the best cake we’ve ever tasted! This was our third cake tasting, and we’re so glad that we waited and found this family run bakery! We knew right away that Veronica’s Sweetcakes would be the ones to do our cake for our October wedding! Marybeth was so great and made the experience fun and relaxing. She understood our vision and the final product was better than we could have imagined.
We tried many flavors, but ultimately went with the carrot, vanilla w/ fresh strawberries and vanilla & raspberry jam. She not only made our wedding cake, but a beautiful dessert bar too! Their pumpkin whoopie pies are to die for!
We have received so many compliments that the cake not only tasted delicious but looked just as beautiful! It was stunning! We highly recommend Veronica’s Sweetcakes!

Our cake was incredible! Marybeth is so easy going and makes perfect cakes. I'm fairly certain it was the best carrot cake we've ever had. She also made it very simple with delivery to our venue and when we asked to order a special cupcake for my sister. Highly recommend!

Veronica's Sweetcakes was by far the most amazing wedding cake we have ever tried. Not only have we been to many weddings but we had 4 cake tasting and chose Veronica's because the cake was so flavorful yet not over powering and moist. We had so many compliments on our cake from the aesthetics of it to the taste from all of our guests. They were so easy to work with and very accommodating. I would recommend them to anyone and would go back for any other cake in the future.

This vendor was used by our venue which made me worry that we were stuck with someone that we might not like. But I was totally wrong! Veronica’s sweetcakes was amazing. We had a lot of guests so we had 4 tiers that we got to chose flavors for which we were happy about since we loved so many of the flavors at the tasting. We barely had any leftover since everyone wanted more than one slice!

Veronica's Sweetcakes was our vendor through Plimoth Plantation, but even if they weren't we still would have chosen them! Instead of a traditional wedding cake we opted to have smaller cakes of different flavors. Mary Beth was wonderful in helping our vision come to life. By having several smaller cakes , we were able to sample a variety of flavors...all of them were fantastic and our guests thought so too!
Mary Beth also made the tasting lots of fun- definitely one of the better parts of wedding planning :)

We worked with Veronica's Sweetcakes and Mary Beth as a part of our venue package through Plimoth Plantation.
Our cake tasting was a super fun afternoon of eating too many pieces and flavors of cake... all delicious. We chose a classic white cake with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream. It was exceptional. On the day-of, the cake was decorated beautifully and devoured by guests.

I would highly recommend Veronica’s to anyone that is looking for the perfect wedding cake. We got married at Indian Pond Country Club in August. Mary Beth did a phenomenal job on our cake – it was fresh, delicious and even more beautiful than I imagined. We had so much fun at our tasting. We got to try several different flavors and fillings. It was tough to choose since they were all so good! We picked 2 flavors – vanilla cake with caramel buttercream filling, and marble cake with mocha filling. The cake was airbrushed beautifully with gold and sky-blue accents. Communication leading up to our wedding was excellent, I knew we didn’t have anything to worry about. They even coordinated with our florist to ensure that we had the right flowers for the top of the cake. The cake was delivered without any issues. Our guests are still raving about how wonderful our cake was! I was glad that we ordered more than we needed because a bunch of people (including me) took two slices!

Growing up in Brockton, we’ve always used Konditor Meister and White’s Bakery for our cake needs. However, when I chose my wedding venue, I decided to try out their preferred bakeries, just to see what else was out there. Well, Veronica’s blew us away! Their white almond cake is phenomenal! Even my husband, who doesn't like cake, liked this cake! We chose that as our bottom tier (and it was a guest favorite); the middle tier was chocolate with oreo buttercream; and the top tier was red velvet. Veronica’s even provided cupcakes for our two guests with nut allergies. Our cake was everything we had imagined, and we are beyond pleased with their service!

We decided to go with Veronica’s Sweetcakes as they were one of Canoe Club Ballroom’s preferred vendors for wedding cake. During our tasting, Mary Beth was very patient as we took a while to taste all the different flavors. We ultimately selected the classic white almond cake with fresh strawberry filling.
I had a very specific idea in terms of how I wanted the cake decorated as well as a Cinderella castle cake topper that I wanted to use. They were able to accommodate everything and on the wedding day, the cake came out just as I had envisioned.
We can’t wait to go back to enjoy our anniversary cake with them. We would recommend them for any couple who would not only like a wedding cake that tastes delicious, but also looks so beautiful!

As a couple that has the joys of lactose and gluten intolerance, the wedding cake was potentially the most petrifying thing to sort out - who wants to be sick from the ingredients on their wedding day? Veronica's Sweetcakes took our dietary needs to heart and were so attentive and careful. They were so easy to coordinate with and of course, the cake and cupcakes absolutely delicious. We tried 3 other places for a tasting, and Veronica's was definitely the best cake we tried. We went over our ideas and the type of design we were looking for. They were very flexible with different colors (we went with an ombre effect) and chocolate pieces around the edges. A picture was drawn for all of us to envision our wedding cake. We had a variety of elements and colors that we wanted to incorporate, so we ended up coming up with a few different cake designs and repeating them. I ordered some cute little gold stands to display them on and it was absolutely perfect! My guests were able to take the cake home at the end of the night (the person with the closest birthday won) so they were psyched! I also ordered a larger cake to display, use for the cake cutting ceremony and then serve to the guests for dessert. Their chocolate cake is to die for! Add in the raspberry jam and I was sold! Would highly recommend Veronica's Sweetcakes!

Our cake was exactly what we wanted. We did some cake tasting and everything was amazing it was hard to decide. We went with a 2 tier vanilla cake with swiss dots, navy ribbon, and a navy bow on the top. All the guests loved how it looked and how it tasted. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a cake for any occasion.

Fantastic wedding cake and service! We enjoyed working with Veronica's Sweetcakes for our wedding at White Cliffs Country Club. They run a very organized operation and the cakes are delicious! It was fun to be able to enjoy a cake tasting before our wedding day. We would definitely recommend Veronica's Sweetcakes! We came in with a specific vision based on a photo from the internet, and Veronica's went above and beyond- our cake was absolutely beautiful, and was so delicious! We were able to do a different type of cake on each tier (1- chocolate cake with fresh strawberries and buttercream, 2- lemon cake with raspberry filling, 3- red velvet with cream cheese buttercream), and our guests are still raving about how much they loved the look and taste of the cake. Veronica's Sweetcakes staff was also wonderful to work with, and it's always nice to support a local small business. Again, we would absolutely recommend Veronica's Sweetcakes for your wedding cake!

We have gotten a lot of wonderful feedback from our guests that our wedding cake was soooo good and we can only thank Veronica's sweet cakes for making the tastiest cake a couple could ask for! We got two flavors - the vanilla with fresh strawberries and the almond flavor! Both were amazing!! We were picking at the leftover cake we had for weeks after the wedding because we just couldn't get enough!! We are both looking forward to eating the top layer in our freezer for our 1st anniversary! I also have to comment on how gorgeous our cake came out!! From our first meeting with Veronica's sweetcakes it was a wonderful experience . We tried different flavors and were given complementary coffee with our tasting, all the ladies are interested , patient and creative . We had so many compliments on our wedding caked from the taste and the style. We went with the almond cake with rasberry filling, it was so good!!! We received so many compliments . We highly recommend Veronica's Sweetcakes! We had a specific vision (based on a painting we love) that involved 12 different size cakes..all decorated differently. To say that she nailed it would be an understatement. It was perfect! We spoke with Erica who was so accommodating (we finalized our plan VERY close to our wedding day). And most importantly, the cakes were delicious. We ordered a combination of chocolate, vanilla and almond cakes, each with buttercream frosting, and each one was so tasty. Definitely highly recommended!

They have a bunch of gorgeous designs to choose from but will also run with your suggestions. After having a bad experience with a bridal shower cake at a different vendor we decided to give Veronica's a try. My daughter wanted cupcakes for her wedding with a small cake for the cake cutting part of the celebration. Veronica's did a great job. The cupcakes were delicious as was the little cake (which my daughter shared since it was one of my favorites, carrot cake!) The nice thing about the cupcakes was the ability to pick different flavors, my only regret was I wish we had ordered more because by the end of the wedding there was not a cupcake to be found…some friends confessed to having two! Veronica’s Sweetcake was absolutely fantastic to work with. They were professional, creative and willing to listen and suggest ideas (which were incredibly helpful). I was a little difficult in that I wanted funfetti flavoring for our cake, which most bakeries refused to do, but Veronica’s embraced it and made a delicious, beautiful cake! They also provided gluten free cupcakes (that I heard were equally as delicious) for a few of our guests. My husband and I would definitely recommend Veronica’s to anyone looking for a great bakery!

I'm gluten free, so finding a wedding cake wasn't easy. Most places don't make GF cakes and I was getting worried. When I found Sweetcakes, I knew I hit the jackpot! They were super nice, helpful, relaxed, and totally willing to make a GF wedding cake. It turned out delicious and beautiful! We got so many compliments. Veronica's created two cakes for us. One was a 4 tier wedding cake that came out exactly like the photo I showed them. It was perfect. The second was a groom's cake in the shape of Nantucket. I wasn't sure how it was going to come out because it was an unusual request but it blew away whatever expectations I had. It was extremely detailed and made a beautiful show piece for the wedding reception. It was probably photographed more than I was that day. I wish I could add photos to this review to show them both.
The cakes also tasted as good as they looked. Our caterer was surprised how little cake was left over compared to past weddings - our guests loved it! Veronica's let us select 4 different flavors for the two cakes for no additional charge and they were all great.

We chose Veronica's Sweetcakes over Whites Bakery and Montillio's because it's a local shop and the price was right! My frame of mind was- who really cares about the cake besides the B&G? Has anyone ever gone to a wedding where the cake was memorable? So we wanted inexpensive classy and simple. My husband loves lemon and I personally enjoy coconut. We did a 3 tier white, lemon and coconut, all with 2 layers blush pink butter cream frosting in the form of roses and little white pearls on the middle. V.S. did an amazing job. They delivered exactly what I wanted. It was easy, I filled out a form, paid for it up front, chose our colors and design and I never heard from them since. Our cake was gorgeous and deeelish.

DIFFERENT & DELICIOUS! OK! So this was the one thing I let the hubby do completely on his own! It was not your traditional wedding cake. IT WAS AWESOME! It was 4 tiers the first tier was beachy with our date written in candy pebbles. 2nd tier had a lake theme with fish and a sign that said "funs over!", the 3rd tier had the groom being yanked off his jet ski by the bride who was sitting on the dock on the top tier. 2 tiers were red velvet and 2 tiers were chocolate and it was delicious, the cake was nice and fluffy and the frosting was rich and creamy! We brought the leftovers home and ate it over the next couples days... too good to waste!

My family goes to Veronica's any time we need a cake. They are the absolute best. Not only are their cakes amazingly delicious but they look great too. They had a huge array of cake designs to choose from & they customized to my liking & even matched my wedding color perfectly. My only regret is only eating a bite on my wedding night :( I was so sad the next day that I convinced my husband to let us eat 1/2 of our anniversary cake the next day & save just the other 1/2 for our 1st anniversary. Veronica's is your best bet for sure. I knew from the outset that I wanted them but booked other tastings just for the free cake- I actually cancelled the other tastings cause as a bride I really couldn't waste my time doing them & Veronica's was a no-brainer especially after our tasting with them.

I absolutely loved, loved, loved my wedding cake. It was delicious (vanilla with raspberry filling) and it was exactly how I wanted it. After designing the cake with one of the staff members (it was ocean themed), I came across a picture of another ocean themed cake that I completely fell in love with. I e-mailed Veronica's a picture and asked if they could make it for me and they agreed. The final outcome looked exactly like the picture. We went with cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake and we did 3 different flavors. Everyone raved about the cupcakes!! The display came out better than I expected as well, I can't get over how beautiful it all came out!! I would absolutely recommend them! I went there about a month before our wedding to drop off ribbon for them to use on the cupcake tower and while there I bought a few pastries and cupcakes and remembered in a second why I was using them for our wedding day!! After we picked out flavors, we started going through all the books of pictures of different cakes. The woman we were working with was very patient and helpful with suggestions as we debated different options. I presented her with my dilemma: I wanted chocolate frosting, but not a brown cake. We figured out that Veronica's could use blue fondant, for only a small fee, and cover the chocolate frosting. They even took a color swatch to match the blue perfectly to my bridesmaids' dresses! Then we went through the little details of decorations, topper, and more.
The cake turned out more beautiful than I could have hoped for! And it tasted just as delicious as expected. As we left the reception I asked for leftover cake - but my mom wouldn't let me eat the top anniversary layer! How rude. I'll have to go back and get some more Veronica's cake for another occasion!

Veronica Sweetcakes made a superior cake. My husband is from England where the mainly only buttercream or royal icing on their cakes.
We had visited other vendors who would not accomodate this request. Veronica's cake was so delicious and beautiful. I have never been to a wedding where the guests ask for 2nds. We thankfully had more than enough cake. Our anniversary has come and gone and we had our topper and guess what, it was as delicious as the day we got married. I couldn't believe it. Our cake was perfect in every way. Thank you Veronica Sweetcakes!

We actually picked one of their display cakes (a beautiful three tier with fondant bows). It was vanilla cake with a vanilla bean buttercream and a raspberry filling. Absolutely delicious and we received so many compliments on it.
Everyone at the bakery was incredibly nice and helpful and it was a great price for what we got. I highly recommend Veronica's Sweetcakes.

Veronica's Sweetcakes did our wedding cake and a surprise groom's cake. They both came out beautiful! The groom's cake was of Fenway and it was out of this world! Every detail was perfect, my husband LOVED it! They even made the signs in fenway personalized to my husband's favorite things (signs for prime rib, lobster, espn, our wedding date) The most important part is for the cake to be delicious and both were great. Veronica's even made the icing shimmery as I requested and their detail on each flower was amazing. Just make sure you are very specific on the colors when doing your consultation. Thank you Veronica's! The cakes were a hit!

We worked with Mary Beth at Veronica's Sweetcakes from our tasting through the planning process. Very knowledgeable and accommodating based on our preference of a small wedding cake plus two sheet cakes in various flavor combinations. No delivery issues as far as I could tell and she coordinating with our florist to make sure the fresh flowers we wanted on the wedding cake were added at the venue. My only criticism was that her email response time was not immediate, but as someone who doesn't sit behind a computer all day that's to be expected. I did have to email her more than once to get a response on a couple occasions, but otherwise she was great to work with. As for the good the stuff...the cake was phenomenal. I'm not that much of a sweets gal and the cake wasn't a top priority of mine, but holy cow, is their cake delicious! Surprisingly, their straight-up vanilla cake was one of the best flavors they offer, and we paired it with their amazing almond-flavored buttercream. We also went with lemon cake with raspberry filling and chocolate cake with mint filling and chocolate buttercream frosting. So tasty!

We had a fantastic experience with Veronica's Sweetcakes for our August 2013 wedding in Duxbury. We were able to try four or five different cakes and icings at the tasting and discussed our design ideas with one of the staff members. The cake was fresh and the buttercream was not overly rich and complimented the cake well. They gave us a quote at the tasting but we didn't have to commit right away and so had time to check out a few other places. We also had the option of ordering an additional sheet cake to add extra slices without adding an additional tier to the cake, which ended up working well for us. On the wedding day, the cake was beautiful (just as we had discussed at our initial meeting) AND delicious - the leftovers were eaten within a few days! We would definitely recommend Veronica's and will be going back if we need a cake for a future event!

Veronica's worked with us at our tasting to provide samples of everything we wanted and create a design for our small 2 tiered cake. We went the route of cupcakes and they were delivered to our venue with ease. They were hit and we had VERY few leftover! We were able to have a variety of flavors to mix and match. Our cake was beautiful and included fresh fruit garnish per our request. We were very happy!

Veronica's Sweetcakes created exactly the cake we had asked for! They also made a groom's cake which was adorable! My husband was so surprised to see a tennis ball sitting there! All of our guests were admiring and complimenting both cakes all night. Later, they found out that they tasted as good as they looked and were absolutely delicious!
My navy blue and silver scrolled wedding cake was beautiful, and the anchor cake topper was awesome! We kept it with the top of the cake to enjoy on our first anniversary.

We were so happy with our wedding cake! We went into the bakery with a style in mind and Veronica's was able to create exactly that we were looking for. Not only did they create a beautiful looking snowflake cake four our winter wedding, but it was amazingly delicous as well! We chose a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and it was the best red velvet cake I have ever had! We can't even keep track of the amount of guests who came up to us after the wedding to rave about the cake! I would highly recommend Veronica's Sweet Cakes to anyone looking for a beautiful cake that actually tastes good :)

Best Cake Ever!
I would without a doubt recommend Veronica’s Sweetcakes! Growing up in town, we got all of our special occasion cakes from there, and I always knew I wanted my wedding cake from there too. We didn’t have many ideas about what we wanted, and the tasting and consultation was so helpful. They had so many inspirational photos and were able to work from photos I shared with them. The cake was AMAZING - all of our guests were raving about how good it was. The only negative part of the experience was they were very bad about responding to emails with questions. Every email I sent in regards to a question went unanswered, and I had to physically go into the store to get the answers to my questions. They also called the day before my wedding to finalize things which was difficult as I was trying to get other things ready for the big day.

Beautiful and delicious!
We decided on cupcakes for our guests and a small cake for us, everything was absolutely delicious! We had a phenomenal cake tasting experience where we got to try all of their various flavors of both cakes and frostings. We had to make several adjustments to our order due to COVID-19 and Mary Beth was very accommodating. The shop is not very responsive via email so make sure you call, and then they'll take care of your right away. Highly recommend!

Everyone said our cake tasted great. The colors were spot on, and the flowers were beautiful. The only issue I have is it looked a little sloppy and thrown together. I had a three tier square cake, however the square was more rounded and not placed evenly on top of each tier. I wish I went with a round cake or maybe a four tier to look less thrown together. I may have been the only one to notice, but now looking at pictures I can see that it does not look like some of their sample cakes in the store. Otherwise, everyone who works there is very nice and helpful. I do recommend, and as I said, I may have been the only one to notice. The cake is definitely freshly made and not made ahead and frozen like other places!

We met the ladies from Veronica's at the vendor fair at Indian Pond and loved their samples. I had a fairly descriptive cake want and pan shape and they were more than welcome to meet my needs. I never actually got a chance to eat the cake!! but I heard fantastic things about all of it. It looked great and photographed so well. Thanks again ladies!!

From the beginning of the planning process, I knew the cake was very important to me. At almost every wedding I had ever been to, the cake always looked nice, but was never all that delicious. I vowed that would not happen at my wedding. I tried a few different bakeries, from the big ones everyone thinks of on the South Shore, to small operations run out of people?s homes. Then it dawned on us to get it from our favorite place to get sweet treats. Our tasting at Sweetcakes was fabulous. The groom, maid of honor , and I sat in the room with a plate of delicious cake to try and books to look at. Lori was very good to give us a little time to ourselves to taste and talk without someone hovering. She also got us any flavor we wanted to try. Then once we settled on the flavors (we did some as chocolate and vanilla cake with mocha buttercream, and some as a more traditional white cake), she helped us with the design for the cake. On the wedding day, I could not wait to see the cake. It came out exactly like I envisioned it, if not better. Of course just like people will tell you, the bride really doesn?t get to eat cake at her own wedding. Luckily we took the top tier home, and had no plans to save that for a whole year, and I am glad we did not because it was delicious. Many of my guests raved about how great the cake was, as well. The only problem was that we did at the last minute change our order (we originally ordered just a plain white cake for one layer, but changed it to have a raspberry filling) and this was not how our cake was made. Although a little disappointing, I can certainly see how it happened since it was a last minute request by us, and the cake was still delicious so it did not really bother us too much.
