When planning our wedding, we visited many different venues, but the moment we walked into Vernon Downs, we knew it was the one. It truly had everything we were looking for and more. What really set it apart for us was that it was a complete one-stop shop—our family and friends could stay right on-site, and we didn’t have to worry about anyone driving all over the place. That peace of mind was priceless and made the entire weekend so much more enjoyable for everyone.
From the very beginning, working with Brandy was an absolute dream. She is professional, kind, and so organized. No matter how big or small the question, she always took the time to answer and reassure me. She has such a calming presence and made sure that everything stayed on track. I felt confident knowing she was overseeing everything and guiding us through the process.
One of the most important aspects for me personally was the food. Having Celiac Disease, eating safely is always a huge concern. Vernon Downs and Brandy went above and beyond to make sure I could enjoy my meal without worry, and let me tell you—the food was amazing! Even our guests who don’t have dietary restrictions kept raving about how delicious everything was. That meant so much to me, to not only feel safe but to have a meal that everyone truly enjoyed.
The bridal suite was another highlight. It was spacious enough to comfortably fit my entire bridal party, which made getting ready together so much fun and stress-free. Little details like that made such a big difference in the flow of the day.
Our guests had just as wonderful of an experience as we did. They loved the convenience of being able to stay right at the venue, relax between events, and not have to worry about transportation. Many commented on how beautiful the space was, how smooth the day felt, and how well everything was coordinated. Knowing that our loved ones were comfortable and having a great time made our celebration even more special.
Overall, Vernon Downs and Brandy exceeded every expectation we had. From the accommodations, to the food, to the amazing staff, everything came together perfectly. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives, and we are so grateful to Brandy for making it all possible. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful, stress-free, and memorable wedding venue! -

We had our wedding at Vernon Downs in August and I have nothing but great things to say! The venue is beautiful, with the gardens and the horse track outside. It was fun to have our favors as betting slips! The guests loved it. Also the food was delicious, many people commented on how great it was. The best though is working with Brandy. She is so organized, kind and thoughtful. She took my vision and made it come to life. We had the perfect day. Highly recommend this venue!!! -

Fairytale Wedding
Vernon Downs is a total hidden gem and we are so thankful we chose them. Talk about going above and beyond- Brandy was so easy to work with and so responsive and professional that’s what secured the decision for us. She made the design of my fairytale wedding come true! From the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and reception, she was right there with me, every step of the way. The staff is amazing- they treated us like we were royalty and were so on top of everything all night! The food was amazing! The bar service was great! It was honestly all so perfect. My guests said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to! We will never forget our perfect fairytale wedding at Vernon Downs! PS- We got the Vernon Downs Sunset as a bonus! -

Vernon Downs and the coordinator Brandy went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect wedding! Even with having to bring the ceremony inside the day of, the staff made the entire thing perfect for us! We couldn’t have asked for a better day! -

We absolutely loved our experience at Vernon Downs for our wedding. Every single staff member was so thoughtful and accommodating. The food was great and everyone enjoyed their meal. The terrace ceremony space is absolutely beautiful. Most importantly, Brandy, the event coordinator, is just amazing to work with. She has every detail covered, is extremely responsive and easy to work with and made our day absolutely perfect. You won’t regret having your wedding at Vernon Downs! -

I am so happy that we chose Vernon downs for our venue!! Our day was absolutely perfect! The wedding coordinator Brandy, helped us with our meticulous planning over the past year and a half and was absolutely amazing to work with! We had planned on getting married outside on the beautiful terrace, but some fast unfortunate storms called for a quick decision to move the ceremony inside at the last minute.. Vernon downs did a wonderful job making everything so beautiful and perfect for us despite the quick change. We couldn’t be happier with the job that the staff and venue did to make our day so perfect!! I recommend Vernon Downs 110%!!!!!! -

Booking our wedding here was the best decision we could have made. My husband and I knew we wanted a hotel venue and we looked at several in the area. We couldn't believe how much more favorable Vernon Downs' packages were compared to everywhere else. So much is included for such a reasonable price when you book with them! Our guests were able to book rooms for only $99 a night because they were having a winter special. We got the honeymoon suite complimentary for two nights, which was recently remodeled and had a great aesthetic. It comes with a Jacuzzi which was much needed! We also had use of their bridal suite which was bright and spacious and had everything we needed. Our ceremony and reception took place in the ballroom which was gorgeous, and easily fit our 150 guests with a large dance floor. We chose a plated package and heard only good things about the meals. (My husband and I could barely eat from the nerves!) They serve large portions, and you get to try everything a few months ahead of time at a complimentary private tasting! The open bar is included in your package, and the bartenders and staff were so friendly and accommodating. And lets not forget Brandy! She is the coordinator, and full-time superhero. She rolled with every crazy request I threw at her (including the 2 truckloads of decorations we brought). I'm pretty sure she never sleeps because she is always available, and responds to emails basically immediately. She also worked seamlessly with my vendors, which took a lot off my plate. There is no question she cant answer and no problem she cant handle. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a single thing on our wedding weekend - the staff took care of it all. From set up to take down, from the rehearsal dinner to the morning after, they were on top of it. I've rarely heard of a wedding flowing as seamlessly as mine did and it is all thanks to Brandy and Vernon Downs. Run, don't walk to book this venue! -

My husband and I got married here on 11/5/2022. We had an amazing 72 degree day for the beginning of November. Brandy worked with us the entire time even when I got sick the week before. She handled everything we asked and made it the venue gorgeous for our day. We recommend Vernon Downs for all your event needs. -

Got married at Vernon downs on 10.8.22. It was beautiful and affordable. Brandy was amazing to work with. Always answered my emails right away with any questions I had and did a beautiful job decorating both the terrace for my ceremony and the ballroom for my reception. The food was amazing and everyone loved watching the horse race during dinner on the drop down screen. Truly a perfect day. The scenery was gorgeous and all my guests loved the venue and food for both the rehearsal dinner and wedding night. -

Fall wedding that was everything I could ever ask for.
My husband and I looked at so many venues and when we looked at Vernon downs and heard so many people recommend their food for events we knew we found the right place. I was worried at first because the tasting is done after you book but let me tell you the food is worth it! My family is still talking about the mushrooms stuffed with cream cheese and Sausage for cocktail hour and the mashed potato bar. Brandy is absolutely amazing and she helps make this crazy process so much better! I had a lot of family weddings on top of my own and she was so patient and understanding when trying to organize everything. Fast forward to the day of and everything was absolutely perfect! I couldn't have asked for a better day, any concerns I had or any questions I had all the staff were so helpful. I brought decorations and basically said if you have a spot for them that's fine if not I understand (I went on a little Amazon buying spree) but it came out beautiful and better than I expected! I thought everything ran smoothly and they even set aside food for us and sat aside the rest of my husband and I's cheesecake. I highly recommend this as a Venue you will not be disappointed!! Nothing but amazing
We got married August 12th 2022. And from start to finish Vernon Downs made wedding planning easy. Brandy (wedding manager) responded to every question I had, never left me in the dark. She accommodated last minute changes for me, she made what I wanted happen. The food was delicious. The service during rehearsal dinner and reception was great. If I could re-do my wedding day again, I’d choose Vernon Downs over and over again. -

Wedding for my daughter
My daughter got married at Vernon Downs on 7/17/21. EVERYTHING from staff..to food..to our amazing wedding coordinator Brandy...to the venue itself was amazing. We recently had our wedding at Vernon Downs a few weeks ago. We are so happy with our decision! All of the staff has been great to work with. Brandy, the coordinator, has been incredible to work with through the entire process! She responded quickly and cordially to each of my questions (there were a lot!!). She was so helpful and I am truly grateful to have her throughout this journey. Our day at Vernon Downs was above and beyond anything we could have imagined! I didn't have a worry in the world because we had been communicating so often and then the few days beforehand she took the lead and everything went off without a hitch! We are extremely happy with everything Vernon downs provided to us during our very special time. We had the pleasure of planning everything with Eric Foster, who was unbelievable. He ensured all my guests had a room within our block, even when we ran out of rooms. He made the process of planning a wedding 4 hours away a breeze. He would always contact me back right away and make each of my requests. We had a room block fri and sat for our wedding at Hayloft on the arch On Saturday. Sunday morning we had a farewell brunch for our guests from 9-12. Even the cleaning staff was super nice and accommodating. Our farewell brunch was excellent and all of our guests loved it!!! We could not have asked for a better wedding!!
We were just married on Friday (10/12/18) and could not say enough great things about Vernon Downs and their staff! Most importantly, Eric, their wedding coordinator was beyond amazing to work with! Every email we sent was always answered immediately. He made the extremely stressful wedding planning so much easier and was always on top of everything. We had some last minute guest count changes and seating changes which he handled greatly and completely eliminated the stress on our part. Day of the wedding, he was on top of everything!! Had some threat of rain, but Eric had a game plan for everything! He could not have made our wedding day easier or more enjoyable! I could seriously go on for pages on how fabulous he was to work with! The venue itself is incredible, lots of gorgeous places for pictures both inside and out. The race track offers a unique opportunity to use bets as favors! The food at the venue was also incredible! Guests are still raving about how delicious everything was! I have zero complaints or any criticism to offer towards the venue/staff. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had been to in a long time! I would recommend getting married here to anyone! They also work hard to fit whatever your dream wedding is into whatever budget you may have to work with, which is wonderful in itself! We LOVED having our wedding here! -

The Coordinator Eric F. is Amazing!!
I was indecisive on some things but knew he would pull the night off without a hitch. Was a stress free process knowing we had him.
Everything was Beautiful!
No complaints and so Happy we chose Vernon!!

He is an asset to your team, along with the bartenders and wait staff you had on the night of our wedding they all had smiles and were very attentive to our needs.
