Jana from Veka Bridal was fantastic! What really sets Jana apart is her keen eye for what looks good on all kinds of bodies, all delivered in a kind and non-judgmental tone. I am a quick shopper - my appointment was one hour and I ended up choosing the second dress I tried on (out of five) that day. Three of the dresses I tried on were just "for fun" at Jana's insistence that I try on a few more dresses while I was there. My dilemma was that I liked the second dress but preferred the back on the first dress. Jana assured me that it was not a problem to customize the second dress, which I ultimately did.
While I loved my Rembo Styling dress in the shop, I was a bit nervous that it would look "plain" during my wedding - it was anything but. People commented on how beautiful the lace was (even the photographer!), how "stunning" the dress was, and how much I looked like a "princess." People said things like, "I've never seen a dress like that before - it is so beautiful!"
I would recommend Veka Bridal to anyone who is looking to stand out from other brides on their wedding day :) -

I cannot say enough great things about my experience with VeKa, and was so happy with my dress! I came across VeKa while walking down Atlantic Avenue with my mom (after visiting several other stores in Manhattan with zero luck), due to a striking dress in the window that caught our eye. We went in, spoke with owners Ksenia & Jana, and scheduled an appointment. Beautifully curated dress selection, varied price range, expert tailoring, and all interactions directly with the owners themselves (who are insightful, thoughtful, and great at their jobs). Definitely recommend VeKa!!!

Jana and her team are wonderful! Their dress selection is amazing! They did an incredible job on my dress and I’m forever grateful for their patience and skill! The dress that I fell in love with was meant for women that have a smaller chest. I’m larger up top and they were able to create a custom size for me. If you're looking for someone who will give you the extra attention you may need I would 100% suggest VeKa Bridal.

stumbled upon Veka Bridal because they carried one specific boho designer, Rembo. I was pleasantly surprised at the beautifully curated collections of dresses from several uncommon designers that showed a range of styles, but which were all unique and beautifully crafted. The experience you’ll get at Veka is thoroughly personalized and private. There’s no sales pitch or rushed feeling. The owners listen carefully to your preferences, offer recommendations, and also offer their honest opinions. -

User1799921 Sent on 09/08/2014If you're a bride who's getting tired of seeing the same 10 (boring) dresses in every bridal shop, then please visit VeKA! When I'd given up on finding a dress, I went to their shop … and sure enough, they found me a beautiful, different, and unique wedding dress, which was truly special.
The owners are incredibly helpful, and have real taste and a real knowledge of their stock, designers, etc. They were able to work with me to customize the gown, helped me to find something within my price range, and were very responsive and patient with me throughout the process.
Highly recommended! -

Mariel Sent on 07/23/2017I searched far and wide for my wedding dress -- and finally found what suited me, my family, and the venue at VeKa Bridal. Jana was a breath of fresh air from the moment I walked in the door for my first appointment. She was honest and gave genuine recommendations rather than just repeating back to me my own comments about the dresses I tried on (which was what I found at most other shops in NYC, PA, and Minneapolis). I immediately felt I could trust Jana and she understood my taste and hopes for the dress. I did not want to wear what all the other brides I was seeing were wearing, and I found a dress by Rembo Styling that I could adapt a bit to my own particular taste. Unfortunately, that adaptation got lost in translation and when the dress came back to Brooklyn from Belgium/Portugal, we had a few surprises a month out from the wedding --the seamstress would have to rebuild the back from the waist up! Thankfully, Jana and Kseniya were looking out for me and their seamstress, Zully, did an amazing job on an abbreviated timeline. After five fittings, I actually like the finished product more than what I originally ordered off the rack. Jana helped me think about my hair accessories and style, as well as my jewelry with consideration of the dress. She even was in touch with me a couple of days before my wedding to advise on transporting it and steaming before putting it on. I received many compliments on the dress and only wish I had more occasions to wear it... Thank you for thinking creatively with me throughout the entire process. -
User2268514 Sent on 08/12/2015Veka is a lovely place to shop! Jana is kind, calm and helpful and the store carries such a beautiful selection of dresses. They were able to accommodate all of my needs - and I was buying a dress pretty close to my wedding date. I would definitely recommend visiting here if you are looking for a somewhat simple and non-traditional yet elegant wedding dress. -

They were the very first shop I made an appointment at, and from the very start "got" what I was looking for -- something a little unique and not an uptight wedding dress. They still encouraged me to try on a range of styles AND to even shop around more before I made up my mind. I went to over 10 other stores (none of which compared in terms of quality of service) and felt confident in returning to Veka to purchase my dream dress (which was one of the first ones I tried on there). From fittings to pick-up, to helping me decide what to do with the dress post-wedding, Veka has been like a supportive parent. I trust them completely and would recommend them to everyone.
