If you are looking for a beautiful setting, incredible staff, easy planning, and the best food, Valley Green Inn is THE place! Our motto during planning was "no stress" and Amber completely delivered. The food is amazing at VGI and selecting a venue where I didn't have to worry about coordinate a caterer was amazing. Planning could not have been easier- Amber was so kind and helpful, guiding us every step of the way. Amber had every recommendation for the few vendors we needed, all were wonderful. Even the deco we provided was set up by VGI staff, seriously a godsend when you're trying to just enjoy the day and your family/friends! We ended up moving our ceremony under tenting due to rain and Amber/staff were so accommodating which allowed us to relax and roll with everything. If we could do everything again, I wouldn't change a single thing!! -

We had a small Quaker-inspired ceremony and Amber was so excellent to work with to make our event come together just how we wanted it and within our budget. Nothing we talked about threw her off at all. The food was good, as we knew it would be, and the whole team at the venue was wonderful, and after our dinner we had everyone go outside and stand around the fire pit for s'mores. I think it was something we and our guests will remember fondly for a long time! -

Valley Green Inn had everything my partner and I hoped for in our wedding venue. Amber and her team helped our wedding day run seamlessly from start to finish. Amber is truly a joy to work with and made sure we had everything we needed for our beautiful wedding day. Planning a wedding is a lot of work, but Amber was great at keeping things on track and making us feel taken care of while also directing our energy towards excitement and helping us realize our vision. The whole staff at Valley Green is the best and you can't beat the natural beauty of the Wissahickon as a backdrop. Our guests were raving about the food all night too--every dish was delicious! Everything was perfect and we are so excited we live nearby to celebrate all our special occasions at Valley Green. Thank you Amber and VGI team! -

We knew before even touring that we wanted to get married at VGI. We love the wissahickon creek views, the beautiful trees, the fact that they serve BRUNCH for dinner. We didnt even look anywhere else. Amber was great from start to finish she was checking in with us and clarifying things, working with everything we wanted to do. It was perfect and I wouldnt choose anywhere else if I could do it again. -

Perfect November Wedding
Valley Green was the most perfect wedding venue we could’ve asked for. I asked my husband if we could do it again sometime and we enjoyed it so much he almost said yes! But really, the venue is rustic and charming. It has natural and grounded beauty from the Wissahickon while being within city limits, making it easy for all guests to get to (and has free onsite parking!). The entire team is helpful and accommodating with Amber being the most perfect angel. With 100 guests, full hors d’oeuvres, dinner, AND open bar, it was more than fair pricing for great food and drink. Valley Green made everything so easy. Most things were already included in their packages and Amber could help us with any and all questions along the way. I don’t think you can get a better deal in this area for such a special day. All of our guests said it was beautiful and they had a blast. Our day would’ve been special no matter what but having it at Valley Green Inn made it all the more wonderful. Thanks again to the whole team! -

Our wedding at Valley Green Inn was nothing short of a dream come true. The moment we arrived, we were completely swept away by its charm - intimate, romantic, and utterly magical. Nestled deep within Wissahickon Valley Park, it feels like stepping into another world - a tucked-away haven surrounded by trees, the gentle sounds of the creek, and a sense of calm that instantly captures your heart. It was the perfect reflection of our relationship: natural, peaceful, and full of love.
Our ceremony beside the water felt straight out of a storybook, with the creek softly flowing in the background and sunlight filtering through the trees. From start to finish, everything about the day felt effortless and filled with joy.
The food was exceptional - our guests are still talking about it - and the team behind it all was nothing short of amazing. Amber, in particular, is a true angel. From the very beginning, her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel so cared for. She went above and beyond to ensure our day was flawless, and it genuinely was.
We loved how much was included with the venue, which made the planning process so much smoother, yet still left room for us to add our own personal touches and creativity. It’s a space that truly becomes whatever you want it to be - rustic, elegant, bohemian, or anything in between.

Best Day of Our Lives!
The Wissahickon holds a special place in our heart so Valley Green Inn was the perfect choice for us. In the end, we could not have been happier with our decision! First, the location is sooooo beautiful that you really need minimal decoration...the space and place does the heavy lifting. We also loved working with the VG wedding coordinator, Amber. She is a pro...totally on top of things but also fun and relaxed. On the day of our event, she really shone--helping get the space ready and making sure everything was on track. The food? I probably would not have found the time to eat the exquisite food if Amber hadn't put plates in front of us; thankfully she did b/c it was delicious! We wanted to have a separate dance area so guests didn't feel on display and VG was able to do that perfectly. There was really something for everyone...a fire pit, a dance floor, intimate spaces too. As our guests kept telling us, 10 out of 10! -

We held our Welcome Party at the Valley Green Inn on July 4, 2025. Valley Green Inn is a special place for us, and we are so thrilled we got to share its magic with our guests. It’s the most beautiful setting, and Amber (planner from Valley Green) was so accommodating and open to being creative to make our budget work. We did station appetizers with a dinner buffet that was all delicious, and we also had a bonfire with s’mores and cookies for dessert. Valley Green Inn was perfect for our Welcome Party, but you could also throw a beautiful wedding there, and it is more affordable than most other venues we spoke with. Every single one of our guests that attended our Welcome Party was blown away by the setting. -

Best venue ever, best event team
We had the most incredible experience working with Valley Green Inn. Amber is so on top of her game and her whole team is absolutely lovely. I don’t know when that woman sleeps. From the day we signed our contract to our wedding 17 months later we were treated with more warmth and kindness than I could’ve imagined, every phone call and email was completely professional and frankly just fun. I’d love to think we were extra special but I’ve heard the same from other Valley Green couples. The vibe was perfect, they made every accommodation we asked for, we had total faith in the weather backup plans, the staff has that place running like clockwork, and after the fact I’ve heard of very very few and very minor errors with food service. Negligible and bound to happen with an event as large as ours (165pp). I wish we could get married there 15 times, but thankfully it’s a restaurant so we can go back and visit. Which we will, because the food is SO GOOD. Really, so so good. We ate there 4 times before our wedding because we enjoyed it so much, and because the park was so beautiful. We came all the way from NYC to get married here and would do it again in a heartbeat.
The value was unmatched compared to every other quote we got, and we toured venues in Philly, NJ, DC, and CT while deciding where to hold our wedding. -

A Dream Come True Wedding
We are still on cloud nine thinking about our wedding at Valley Green Inn—it was everything we dreamed of and more. The outdoor setting was absolutely stunning—picturesque and the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, and we couldn’t agree more.
The food was also incredible -- which is rare for a wedding! Every dish was delicious. It’s rare to find a wedding where guests are still talking about the meal weeks later—but ours certainly are!
A huge shoutout to Amber, the venue's wedding planner, who was truly a joy to work with. She was incredibly responsive, organized, and made the entire planning process feel smooth and stress-free. Amber worked seamlessly with all of our vendors, making sure every detail came together perfectly on the big day.
The entire staff at Valley Green Inn was professional, fun, kind, and clearly experienced in hosting events with care and excellence. From start to finish, we felt completely supported and confident that we were in great hands.
I know everyone thinks their wedding was the most fun, but we genuinely think ours was and Valley Green Inn was a huge part. We couldn’t recommend it more highly!

In Valley Green and Amber We Trust
From the moment we met Amber for a tour of Valley Green Inn, to the planning stages of the wedding, and then to the actual wedding itself, we knew we made the right choice! Valley Green Inn is a spectacular venue with gorgeous views of Wissahickon Park and gives you an oasis so close to Philadelphia. Amber and her staff were amazing, responsive, flexible, and everything you hope to have in a venue and wedding coordinator. There was no stress in the planning stages of the wedding because of the guidance we had from Amber. She had a selection of outside vendors and other contacts that helped us to easily bring our dream wedding to life. The food was incredible, with a diverse selection of hors d'oeurves and small details that made a major impact on our day. One of the most important aspects for us was finding a venue that could accommodate a fully vegan menu and Valley Green Inn went above and beyond. They ensured that our entire wedding, from the appetizers to the main course, was completely vegan, and they even offered vegan smores!!
Amber, the venue coordinator, truly made our day unforgettable. Amber took the time to get to know us and understand what we wanted, and her attention to detail was fantastic. The Absolute Perfect Wedding Venue!
Valley Green Inn is where we met for our first date so there was no question it would be the perfect place to get married in front of all our closest friends and family. Valley Green Inn has everything you need to have the perfect wedding day. All you need to do is order the flowers and hire the band and they will handle the rest! The food is incredible, the alcohol is plentiful, the ambience is classy and natural, the staff are the sweetest and very professional. Our wedding coordinator Amber was with us every step of the way and she ensured our wedding day was executed perfectly. I know she can’t take credit for the amazing weather we had on the day but I am going to give her credit for it anyway. 75 degrees and sunny in October? Amazing! The natural backdrop of the Wissahickon makes it so easy for your wedding to be stunning. Honestly minimal decor is needed because the Valley Green Inn’s historic and whimsical beauty speaks for itself. We had a Sunday brunch wedding and it was the absolute best. Multiple wedding guests told us it was the best wedding they had been to. I cannot say enough good things about our wedding experience at Valley Green Inn. Check it out for yourself, you won’t regret it!

My husband and I had THE BEST experience celebrating our wedding at the Valley Green Inn! We initially chose this venue because it had the most straightforward and all-inclusive wedding package options, as well as a beautiful and memorable outdoor location. Since the ceremony and reception were both at the Valley Green Inn, and all of the bar and catering services were included, the only additional vendors we needed to book were the florist, DJ, sound equipment, officiant, and photographers.
Amber made the wedding planning process incredibly smooth and easy by providing us with all the necessary information at different stages leading up to the event. She was extremely supportive of our vision, a lot of fun to work with, and made us feel like celebrities on our special day.
The day of our wedding, it rained on and off, and the Valley Green Inn staff was able to shift the outdoor ceremony to a tented canopy space, which ended up working out better than we could have ever imagined. Many of our guests said that the sound of the rain on the canopy made the ceremony feel more intimate, romantic, and connected with the surrounding nature of the beautiful park along the Wissahickon Creek.
Something that I love about this venue is that it feels very family-friendly and down-to-earth, but the food and catering menu felt like a top-notch 5-star restaurant experience! We really enjoyed tasting and choosing our wedding menu ahead of time, as well as designing the floor plan, layout, and flow of the event to suit our needs. Overall, we had about 100 guests. Many people complimented us afterward saying that it was the most beautiful, memorable, and fun wedding they had ever attended.

Moore Wedding 9/15/23
We got married at Valley Green 9/15/23. Everything was truly perfect.
Amber is a godsend! From the moment we chose Valley Green as our venue Amber took care of everything!! And I mean everything. Great communication. She was very responsive (even to my ridiculous questions), she never made us feel like we were bothering her, and she had amazing energy! Her excitement through the whole process was really amazing. She was truly so happy for us and you can tell she loves what she does. She encouraged our creativity and ideas we wanted to bring for our big day. And she was so great bouncing ideas off of.
Everything was made super easy. Amber went over a wedding timeline with us early on that helped ease a lot of stress.
Beautiful scenery, you don't need so much extra decor because of the setting. Truly a hidden gem.
All of our guests raved about the food!
On our wedding day everything was perfect! We did not hear one complaint from a guest and everyone had a great time and everything went smoothly!
Would 100% recommend Valley Green Inn. -

Amber was wonderful in helping us plan and organize the wedding of our dreams. We are from the area and always frequent the Wissahickon for walking, running, and hiking so we already knew it was a beautiful setting for a wedding. The best possible wedding planning experience
Amber and Valley Green Inn clicked with my fiance and I from the moment we stepped foot on the property. Amber was kind, an amazing listener, and genuine to the core. The entire VGI staff was similarly genuine, which sounds like a small thing but made a world of difference for us. They were enthusiastic about everything- our food choices, cake, decorations, even the dress. We asked for a vegan wedding which we know is not an easy ask, and the food was the most unbelievable vegan food. It was creative and delicious. I couldn't recommend VGI enough. They will do anything for you, support you, and make sure your day is the embodiment of your vision. -

The staff at Valley Green Inn were INCREDIBLE!!! They were very flexible with our three week planning time and we very understanding of our circumstances. Gorgeous venue, delightful team
VGI didn’t show up on basic searches for venues in Philly, but I sought it out because I remembered it from hiking in Wissahickon and I am so glad I did. Not only did it tick all my boxes of what I wanted from a venue (natural greenery, near water, beautiful views, natural light, tranquil and so many more) but was surprisingly affordable for the gorgeous location. Amber is the events point-person and I love her - she’s excitable, detail-oriented, knowledgeable, patient, kind and just all around a wonderful person to get to know and work with.
VGI locks you into only food and drink vendors - they do food and beverages in-house. The food is easy to sample through the restaurant and is very tasty. They also provide tables, chairs, plates, cutlery, linens which makes the planning process and after-party clean-up breezy. Moreover, their staff does set-up and take down. They have parking which they restricted to my party guests, and are a dog-friendly venue. One small draw back is that they don’t have a private ante room, but we happily made do with the bathrooms to change, having done hair/make-up beforehand.
Day-of, Amber and staff were present pre-party and throughout the evening. They were very helpful in setting up and mindful throughout of ensuring we had a lovely time. Rhonda for eg. ensured I had photos of the cakes before she took them from their displays to slice up for serving. Eric was very liberal with alcohol in the drinks and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing my friends happy-drunk.
I resoundingly recommend Valley Green for any event. Loved the experience and will definitely go back next time we’re in Wissahickon. -

Ever since I was very little, it was my dream to get married at Valley Green. Growing up in the area, I'd always seen weddings happen while I was walking or biking by, and they all seemed just so perfect to me: the little white inn slightly hidden away in the woodland dream of the Wissahickon, the music drifting out on summer evenings. And it was literally everything I imagined when my husband and I did get married there. Our event planner, Amber, was so easy to be around and she helped us stick to our budget while still having the night we imagined. She helped me string up decorations the day before, and throughout the night she made sure my husband and I were well fed and taken care of. The food was delicious and the bartenders were amazing! All this allowed for us to really lean into our evening and enjoy ourselves. The location is perfect and close enough to bars and restaurants if you need somewhere to go for an afterparty. I can't recommend this place more! -

The Valley Green Inn was the first and only venue we visited for our March 2023 wedding. For a romantic venue and fantastic service at a great value, look no further than the Valley Green Inn.
Amber was a pleasure to work with through the whole planning process. She is so sharp and offered ideas throughout the process to help me stay on track.
The venue is so pretty we hardly needed any decorations. The food was AMAZING. The package includes a Bredenbeck's cake - guests were raving about the cake.
For someone who was dreading all of the work that goes in to planning a wedding, choosing the Valley Green Inn was surely the best decision we could have made. Thanks VGI for making our wedding an amazing day! -

We used Valley Green Inn for your New Years Eve wedding in 2021 and it was absolutely perfect. From the first meeting until we got on the bus to go back to our hotel, Amber was with us with her upbeat, positive attitude and it made our entire wedding experience magical. Valley Green Inn also worked with us to customize our event since we started late to celebrate New Years Eve and we were able to work menus, timing, and every detail. They also allowed me to go in ahead of time to decorate the space since there were no other events before our night. Our wedding was the most intimate, unique and special night. We also love that we can go back every year for dinner and relive a little slice of memory from that night. We planned my daughter's wedding from in-town and out-of-town on a pretty short timeline and Amber and the Valley Green Inn team made it not only possible but a pleasure! My husband and I got married at the Valley Green Inn (VGI) in April 2022 and it was easily the best day of our lives. We booked the venue during fall of 2020, and, with the pandemic in its early stages, we were not sure what the world would look like when the big day came. With so much uncertainty, we were anxious about planning a large event (especially since neither of us are planners). That's where Amber, a VGI day-of coordinator, came in :).
From the moment I emailed VGI inquiring about weddings, Amber guided us through every process from touring the Inn, going over wedding options, reserving our date, tasting the delicious food, connecting with Bredenbeck's to design our cake, finalizing our fine details, and, especially, coordinating the big day. As can be expected, there were ups and downs with planning (especially with the pandemic), and whenever anything arose Amber was there to help me troubleshoot or to be a sounding board.
The big day came and everything ran so smoothly. The staff were excellent, the decor was set up beautifully, and the whole day flowed flawlessly through the predetermined agenda. The site and my vendors all communicated well, and anything my guests needed were taken care of swiftly.
Overall, I have received so much positive feedback from my friends and family about the big day. I have heard from so many that this was "the best wedding they have ever been to." Maybe they are biased because they love me/us (lol), but I honestly think it is the truth. If you choose the Valley Green Inn for your venue I can bet that you will have an amazing day. I can't wait to go back there to reminisce about the day and to see the staff and say hi - they are the types of people that you could and would want to be friends with. Thank you so much VGI! -

I was the maid of honor in my bffs wedding and in charge of planning decor. I dealt with Amber often. Amber was amazing! She really helped us pull everything together and make sure we didn't forget anything. Even with covid and all the rescheduling her and the Inn were super accommodating. The venue itself is a gorgeous backdrop for that special day and was really a total package. Food was yummy too! I couldn't recommend this venue and Amber as your coordinator any more. -

Having both grown up visiting Valley Green with our families, it was a special place for us to be getting married & it was truly the wedding of our dreams and the best day of our lives! Amber, the venue coordinator goes ABOVE and beyond & really made us feel incredibly at ease throughout the entire process. She is transparent, extremely responsive & overall has the most positive, warm and reassuring attitude during what we expected to be a stressful time! The event was perfectly executed under her direction, the food was great and the space was absolutely perfect! 10/10 would recommend the Valley Green Inn and most of all Amber to host your wedding! -

Our wedding was a dream come true thanks to Amber and her team. The venue is Philadelphia’s best kept secret. I still can’t get over how magical the venue looked, especially at night. Amber was a dream to work with, especially during the questionable pandemic. She made us feel at ease when we had to postpone, and was always responsive and reassuring. She was incredibly sweet, organized, and went above and beyond to make our day exactly what we wanted. The staff was incredible during the wedding, from the bartenders to the chef, everyone was involved and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about them. Amber worked great with our other vendors as well, and handled all the logistics. I wish I could do it all over again! -

Amazing Experience
I had my wedding at the Valley Green Inn and worked with Amber. She was great during the whole process and made everything feel easy.
The space looked amazing. I received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful our wedding was. Food can sometimes be hit or miss at weddings, all I heard from our guests was how awesome the food was, and that was coming from some picky folks.
The experience was great, and I feel so lucky that I got to work with Amber and the staff of the valley green. I’m super thankful for them and highly recommend! -

Valley Green Inn was our dream reception venue and exceeded every single one of my and my husband's expectations through the entire wedding planning process and including the wedding itself. Amber was so responsive, thoughtful and genuinely enthusiastic which made her so great to work with. She completely understood my vision for how I wanted the reception space set up and when I dropped off all our decorations I knew she'd execute it flawlessly. All of the food was PHENOMENAL- we did a brunch wedding and it was delicious. Amber was even so thoughtful as to bring me and my husband a full plate of food because she knew we would be too busy to get some ourselves from the buffet. The space itself is so beautiful and all our guests couldn't stop complimenting us on picking such a gorgeous venue. We comfortably sat 150 guests and even had room for a dance floor- the space is bigger than it looks! I really couldn't have asked for more and Valley Green Inn really made our wedding incredible. -

The Most Perfect Wedding
My husband and I had our first date hiking in the Wissahickon, so we had decided early on that we would look at the Valley Green Inn first on our search for wedding venues, and it ended there. Upon first meeting, the Inn’s wedding coordinator Amber was not only an incredibly sweet person to deal with, but she had covered every single detail and concern we might have had, especially since at the time we were in the thick of the pandemic. We booked the venue on the spot, and I cannot express how happy I am that we chose this amazing place as the location of our wedding. It goes without saying that getting married in the Wissahickon during peak October foliage is a showstopper; nearly every one of our guests commented on how stunning the area was and how it added to the beauty of the day. But on top of that, Amber truly made everything go as smoothly as possible. She’s a literal miracle worker! We had been nervous because there was a wedding just before ours, ending about an hour before our ceremony was scheduled to begin; I’m still not sure what kind of magic was used, but Amber and her team were able to breakdown and completely set up a second wedding...in an hour...and I’ll be honest, we had A LOT of decorations. The food was unbelievably delicious, the drinks were flowing, everything was perfect. It’s worth noting too that my grandparents (who are insanely picky eaters) would not stop raving about how perfectly the Filet Mignon was cooked. The service and staff were attentive and on top of everything, but also incredibly friendly and engaging with all of our guests as well. I could honestly go on for ages about how awesome our experience was with Amber and the Valley Green Inn. But I’ll just end by saying that our wedding day was perfect, and I really believe that to be because we selected the Valley Green Inn as our venue. You really cannot go wrong. -

The Wedding of our Dreams!
Thanks to the entire staff at Valley Green we had the best wedding we could have imagined! We had to postpone for a year due to covid and not only did they not raise their prices, they let us pick food from the original menu we saw when booking and their new 2021 menu.
Amber, the event coordinator, genuinely cared about us and our wedding day and it showed! Even with the postponement Amber would call and email to keep us excited and on track! The day of Amber setup EVERYTHING exactly as we wanted. That allowed us to just relax and enjoy every moment of our wedding day.
The wedding itself was incredible! The backdrop is so perfect and you can do so much with simple decorations. The Inn itself truly is a hidden gem in Philly. Having our wedding there blew away all of our
loved ones and we will cherish our whole experience. You will not regret having your big day in such a beautiful place with great service and food. -

Would rebook 1000 times again
After attending my best friend’s brunch style wedding at the Inn my husband and I barely took a second thought at where we wanted our wedding. To start, it is a token landmark for so many people in our area that it’s beauty and classic ness was unquestioned. Second, the photos that came obtained simply from the trail itself let alone with a touch of wedding bliss added to it were enough to sell us. From there, our reception was even better than we imagined. The food, the connection with a local favorite bakery, the space itself all were pieced together perfectly. Finally, Amber, the event coordinator, and her staff. There are no words to describe how seamless our day was in no small part to Amber and everyone involved. Amber stayed organized, punctual and brought our wedding vision to life. Don’t even second guess if this venue makes its way on your list. -

AMBER IS AN ANGEL. So easy to work with, so accommodating, extremely flexible and fun. She was very generous with many of the things VGI had on site like wooden logs for the tables, candles, decorative lights, cornhole, and more. The location is beyond gorgeous between the cool, historical vibe of the inn, the stone walls surrounding the dance floor, and the creek out front. We got so many compliments on everything but so many people commented on the amazing staff and service. Plus the food is delicious. Can’t wait to come back for brunch a and visit with Amber & team. -

Where do I begin? The Valleygreen Inn was the first and last venue on our search. The second my fiancé and I got there, we knew! The scenery was perfect!!!! We met with the wedding Coordinator Amber. She made us feel like she knew us forever. After we signed the contract, she answered every email and every call like ours was the only wedding planned. She and her staff were so accommodating to every detail of our day. She did amazing with our other vendors. Every guest had a comment on how incredible the day was, Delicious food, we had outdoor games to keep things moving, no one stood around awkward wanting to leave. I didn’t want the night to end!!! Thank you Amber and the VGI staff for making our day PERFECT -

This review is a year overdue, but the sentiment and memories of our reception at the Valley Green Inn remain. I give my highest recommendation to Amber and the VGI team for creating a magical evening. Amber is a true professional and guided us through every step of the process. She was quick to respond, flexible with our requests, and accommodating to our ideas even at the last minute. She knows the space well, and can give suggestions for best use of the venue based on your vision. For us, she recommended that we transform one of the smaller rooms into an area for young children. We did: it was one of the most memorable parts of the wedding experience for the children and their parents. (We asked Amber to recommend a babysitter, and she was able to help with this as well - we hired a wonderful lady who was also familiar with the venue). Having two smaller rooms in addition to the main reception area is also an advantage if some of your guests are elderly and need a bit of a break from the music and dancing. The food was seasonal and delicious. The bartender was wonderfully lively and entertaining. The rest of the staff were all efficient and professional. Even in the middle of February, the space was warm. Very warm (don't worry about it being cold on the day of the wedding - those heaters are powerful...). For the decorations, we hired Amaranth Florist who transformed the place into a woodland wonderland (Valley Green Inn also has some decorations that you may use - Amber brought out lovely antique windows on which she wrote table numbers and names of our guests, and a vintage birdcage for cards). To finish the evening, we snuck off and took some photos in front of icicles that formed on rocks lining the path along the Wissahickon trail... In summary, a heartfelt Thank You to the VGI team. What a magical evening in Philadelphia... -

Absolutely Amazing and Magical
Our experience with Valley Green Inn was perfect from start to finish. And this is coming from a 2020 bride where pretty much everything else was FAR from perfect. But aside from deciding to marry my husband, Valley Green was the greatest choice we made for our wedding. We chose it in 2019 for it's charming setting in the woods of the Wissahickon, and honestly, it's unparalleled value. You will NOT find a better value anywhere. It felt like the venue truly cared about us as a couple rather than just wanting to charge the "wedding tax." The staff went above and beyond (and back again) to support us every step of the way. Amber is an angel on earth and everyone in our family fell in love with her. We are so grateful for her making our day better than we even expected. I will literally stop strangers on the street to tell them how amazing our experience with Valley Green was. If you want stunningly beautiful location with delicious food and a caring staff- you've found your spot. Everyone was raving about the location and the food, and people reminded us all night how perfect the venue was. I feel like by getting married here we joined a special club and I can't wait to return for future events (baby showers, anniversary parties, etc), because Valley Green is part of our family now. -

The Valley Green Inn was the only venue I could picture my husband and I getting married at. We visit the Wissahickon frequently and my friend’s wedding there a few years ago was beautiful. The whole Covid situation left us freaking out about whether we could safely hold our 9/13/2020 wedding as planned.
Amber was so good about helping us create a beautiful mini wedding. She even worked with the chef on a revamped light fare menu. We had 21 guests and did both the ceremony and luncheon by the creek. It was absolutely perfect. We are looking forward to our big dance party (what we originally planned for our wedding reception) at Valley Green next year, but this year was perfect so it really just feels like we’re getting a bonus! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about VGI's wedding coordinator, Amber! She is so warm & welcoming, hard working, funny, and brilliant at her job. Our wedding day was perfect thanks to Amber and her team. The food was excellent, especially the mini cheese steak apps. The venue is absolutely beautiful. You have access to the entire inn (depending on what package you choose), and a covered outdoor patio with a permanent tent with beautiful string lights and heaters. The VGI lets you use their lanterns, tea light candles, lawn games, and more. Amber lead us through the whole process and made sure everything was perfect. We would have been lost without her. Highly highly recommend! -

Amber and her team (specifically Tanya!) at Valley Green Inn were phenomenal! I cannot recommend this venue enough. Unfortunately, two months before our wedding, our previous wedding coordinator left Valley Green Inn without notifying us, and we were pretty upset that this happened. But I'd like to praise Amber, because she took over in a seamless transition that was unnoticeable to us. She was exceptional - she clearly communicated with transparency and honesty, made herself readily available, and put our worries at ease about situations such as parking (which is not the easiest at Vally Green). We only had 40 people at our wedding, but it was intimate, heartfelt, and such a special day for us. The location is stunning and we were fortunate enough to blessed with a beautiful fall day. The staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day truly the wedding of our dreams. -

The Valley Green Inn is an extremely special and unique place that truly is the hidden gem it claims to be. From its historical charms, lush grounds, amazing staff and beyond delicious food, this place was just above and beyond for our garden party/vintage style wedding! Our wedding had some traditional elements, but it was important to us that we found a unique venue that was also true to our style. We found that and so much more at this location! We worked with Catie who is an absolute dream to work with. She put me at ease with all of our plans from start to finish and assured that our vision was met on the day of. She couldn't have been more attentive throughout the planning process! Additionally, the value for food, beverage and some extras was extremely reasonable which really takes the stress out of the whole wedding process. Many of the fees are included within their wedding packages. Some of my favorite elements to this location: the outdoor/indoor option (perfect for a summer wedding), open-air porches, romantic stone pathways against the Wissahickon Creek, a fire-pit, AMAZING food and a wonderful bar setting. The Valley Green Inn will continue to be a very special place for us long after our wedding - there's no other place like it! -

We cannot recommend VGI enough
We had an absolutely perfect wedding at Valley Green Inn. Catie and Amber are amazing at what they do- recommending ideas that made things extra special, perfectly executing my vision, and quickly pivoting when a flash flood rain storm passed through an hour before our outdoor ceremony. My husband (so fun to say) and I completely trusted Amber and Catie (and everyone at VGI) and didn't have a worry in the world during our wedding. Our guests are still talking about what a magical night it was. We felt special and cared for, and I wish we could do it every weekend. I feel so incredibly lucky that we were able to have our wedding at Valley Green Inn, and still can't believe I got to have a woods wedding in the heart of Philadelphia. -

Valley Green Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding day! Our event planner, Catie G., planned and executed the PERFECT day! Not only was she organized, helpful, knowledgeable, and flexible throughout the whole process, she came up with some amazing ideas that definitely made our day even better than we had originally imagined. She introduced us to great vendors and helped us make use of the entire venue as well as the gorgeous surroundings of Wissahickon. My Husband and I used to bike to the Valley Green in for lunch all the time. Beautiful atmosphere and good food! Since this place held great memories for us both, we decided to have our wedding here at the end of October in 2018. The foliage was changing color, it was a wonderful fall day. Valley Green Inn provided everything we needed to make our day incredible. The event planner Catie Grozinski was absolutely spectacular helping me plan the wedding and ensured all the details were overseen. The Valley Green Inn is like an all-inclusive, high quality wedding package, they have most everything you need which is great. It really turned out to be a lovely day. We had our reception at VGI and it was absolutely beautiful! The creek was a great back drop for pictures, the inn is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the staff was extremely accommodating. Special thanks to Catie Grozisnki, the event coordinator, who stepped in late in our wedding planning process after the position had some turnover. She hustled super hard to get up to speed and make sure everything went perfectly. Great attention to detail and attitude. The staff was amazing after they realized that the Coordinator who wasn’t even there that day had messed up with the instructions. Her assistant once she realized what happened she quickly helped along with the other people working to pull it all together for us. It was such a fabulous time! Thanks to Caitlyn the assistant and the rest of the staff. Every wedding day has a story that you can look back on and laugh and I guess that’ll be ours. Everything was perfect after that. All of our guests enjoyed it so much. Beautiful historic place to have a wedding.
