We had a wonderful experience at this venue! It was so beautiful & big! We had the option to do an outdoor or indoor ceremony and ended up going with an indoor ceremony, which was perfect! Shannon and Lorah were amazing to work with- 10/10 recommend! We are so happy with our decision!

We were planning our wedding about a year out with no idea what we were doing. Lorah was SUPER helpful. She gave us a list of trusted vendors and basically took some of the initial shock and stress out of planning. She answered all of our (1,000) questions in a very timely fashion and our whole event went amazingly. We met Shannon, our "day of" event coordinator the week of our wedding. She was outstanding. We both felt drained and ready to "get it over with" that week. Shannon's personality and knack for keeping things moving smoothly put us at ease and made us super excited again. Everything went according to plan and all our guests said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. We both truly feel like these women our friends of ours now. There were so many wonderful moments that I couldn't even pick out a "favorite part." Vadnais Heights Commons is a beautiful and affordable venue and we would highly recommend their space for your special day!

The Commons was spacious and gorgeous in winter. Lorah was very encouraging and accommodating as we pushed our daughter and son-in-law's reception out one year. She and Shannon were calm, professional, and friendly. They handled the logistics on the day of the Reception so that we could enjoy our family and friends. That was a tremendous gift! Our celebration exceeded our expectations.

My husband and I had an amazing experience with Lorah and Shannon. The planning process was easy and the wedding day was perfect. As the bride, I didn't do anything besides get married and enjoy the evening on the day of. I had not one thing to worry about because everything was taken care of by everyone involved there at The Commons.

The venue is beautiful, the vendor options are phenomenal, especially Noah the DJ and Molly for food, and the people who work there are ontop of everything. Our guests were extremely happy and everyone we've spoken to has raved about how nice of a wedding it was.

We were so happy with Vadnais Heights Commons- Lorah and Amy were amazing planners and so kind and helpful. Planning our wedding amidst COVID was stressful and they were incredibly easy to work with. The space was beautiful and was able to accommodate a lot of people safely and comfortably. The larger main hall area looked so pretty for both our ceremony and reception and we loved it so much!

Everything was so beautiful and perfect we couldn’t have imagined getting married anywhere else! Lorah was so easy to work with and really made sure that all of our questions and concerns were answered and addressed during the planning process and Shannon was amazing the day of our wedding! She made everyone comfortable and made everything fun! We honestly could not have asked for anything more from everyone at The Commons!

We are grateful to have planned our wedding through VHC. Because of Covid-19, we have had to make some hard decisions. They were willing to refund us for the ceremony so we could hold a backyard wedding with family instead. They also moved our reception date to celebrate with family & friends the following year with no issues. Lorah is great to work with and so helpful! Not to mention, it's such a beautiful space too!

Our wedding reception at VHC in November was everything we could have wished for! The venue itself is stunning, from the high wood beams, fireplace, to the beautiful windows. The location is convenient as it is right outside of the busy downtown areas of St. Paul/Minneapolis and in a nice neighborhood area. All of the staff at VHC were extremely helpful, organized, and accommodating to ensure the day was what we had envisioned. They even let us hang outdoor Christmas lights on the trees outside! Their ‘preferred/required vendors’ made wedding planning easy with great options (Donatelli’s was amazing!) The timeline and process the VHC follows really helps alleviate stress on the bride and groom week of and day of! They sure take care of you. If I could choose VHC again, I definitely would!

Vadnais Heights Commons is an incredibly beautiful place to host a wedding and reception. Our family has had the pleasure of hosting two winter wedding receptions at this venue, and it truly provides a magical backdrop for the special day! The building is gorgeous with a large foyer area, a two-sided fireplace, and a magnificent reception area that is large enough to accommodate 350 plus guests comfortably. The floor-to-ceiling windows allow for natural light to filter in during the day, and outdoor sparkling lights to provide a romantic glow at night time. The entire staff at Vadnais Commons was extremely helpful when planning the day. Lorah and Pam, event coordinators for VHC, met with us several times to go over various items regarding the receptions, and they were there to make sure the events ran smoothly. All of the vendors that we used from their preferred list - Donatelli's, Spicy Meatball DJ, Complete Beverage - helped make both weddings so memorable because of their organization and attention to details. We feel extremely blessed to have celebrated two family weddings in this stunning venue!

Our company was looking for a new venue for our annual holiday party of 200 people. We toured a few different places but the Vadnais Heights Commons truly wowed us! Lorah made everything so seamless and easy. I thought I would be stressed the day of our event but everything feel right into place because she makes sure to nail down every little detail!

We had an amazing day thanks to our beautiful venue, amazing vendors, and fantastic staff at VHC. All the vendors we used came as recommendations from VHC’s staff and they all did amazing jobs. Pam was great to work with and made sure our day was unforgettable.

I've photographed several weddings at Vadnais Heights Commons and it's become one of my favorite venues. The staff is amazing to work with and the space is filled with lots of natural light. VHC also has some great indoor/outdoor space for large parties and it's just always a pleasure to work here.

We got married on May 18th of 2019 and could not speak higher about our experience at VHC. Pam was our wedding coordinator and made the planning process stress free and easy. The venue was beautiful on our big day and we received so many compliments from our guests. If you are looking at having your wedding at VHC you can feel confident that it will be a tremendous experience!

We had the most magical experience on our wedding day using the commons. Ask for Pam because she is the best ever to work with. She made sure every detail of the day was smooth and nothing short of a dream! You can easily dress the space up or down per your preference! We had so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was!

You will not find a better venue than VHC! To start, the venue is absolutely gorgeous. You can dress it up as much as you want, but you really don't need much to make it sparkle. I guarantee a single visit will convince you this is the venue for you. However, what I truly loved was the professionalism and promptness of the coordinators I worked with. When it came down to finalizing the details in the last two months, their team did an outstanding job of following up with vendors and me. I couldn't believe how great they were. Lorah and Pam had all of my best interests and were ready to make the day as smooth as possible. They will ask a lot of necessary questions!! And from what I've heard, most coordinators are not this thorough. Our day was as smooth as could be and our day-of coordinator was everything we could ask for. She is an absolute necessity to your day. I was able to sit back and relax without any worries! And when one of the vendors had a little oopsie, they made sure to hold them accountable and fixed it all without involving me. This was a perfect day and I couldn't have asked for more. My husband and I both agree we did everything right in choosing this venue.

This was the very first venue we saw and we were absolutely amazed by the huge space, the natural lighting and the beautiful outdoor space for the ceremony. My husband and I were so impressed with the team at The Vadnais Heights Commons. Lorah, Pam, Kathleen, and Judy are the best of the best! Our day went according to plan, so smooth, and we couldn’t have done it without their help! We received so many compliments from friends and family alike, on how perfect the venue was, it was breathtaking. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a natural-feel, romantic spot for their wedding! We absolutely loved every minute of being there! 5 stars for sure!!!!!

Vadnais Heights Commons was the perfect venue for my wedding! Its no only very pretty but the people working there were so nice and easy to work with. Lorah who you meet with several times was very informational and always kept you on track on the wedding planning. Amy the wedding coordinator went above and beyond to make my wedding perfect!

We had our wedding on May 5th, 2018. I would say our wedding was NOT the most traditional. But this defiantly did not scare Lorah, if anything Lorah and her team was even more supportive. Lorah gave us 150% of her time and energy. She gave us personal advice with our best interest in mind. We are very so lucky to have our very special day at Vadnais Heights Commons and to be able to say our wedding day was FLAWLESS. This defiantly would not have happened out the experience and step by step planning Lorah helped us with. Lorah and her team also stayed on top of the schedule and did a phenomenal job communicative with other vendors. The entire staff at Vadnais Heights Commons made sure everything went off like clockwork during the event. They were attentive the whole time and took care of anything we needed. We defiantly recommend this location for all of our personal friends and families.

I got married at The Commons in January. Everything about our experience was incredible from the first step to the last. Lorah Palmer is amazing to work with and provides you with a list of vendors that you can know and trust will be the very best for you on your special day. Lorah’s organization and relationship with the vendors she works with took much of the stress away for us as we planned our wedding. Not to mention the place is absolutely beautiful!!

The Vadnais Commons was a perfect place for us to have my daughters wedding. It is a spacious but warm location with windows on two full sides of the main reception area. The entry and cocktail area is beautiful with the fireplace and, in December it had a beautiful tree with white lights where many guests took photos. Through the use of vendors, Grand Designs and Flore Inspired, we transformed the room into an elegant, breathtaking experience for our 265 guests. Creative Catering worked wonders with the food and we got many compliments. Spicy Meatball took amazing photos and also as the DJ kept the guest dancing until the very end. Photo booth Creations made an amazing guest book and Walter Mueller Studio has awed us with the wedding video. When you visit Vadnais Commons it is important to keep in mind how it will be with everything set up and how you can build your own vision. We loved it and so did our guests.

We had a very pleasant experience working with Lorah and others at The Commons. Lorah answered all of my questions in a timely fashion and was a joy to work with! We will recommend The Commons to everyone! The place is beyond gorgeous and the list of recommendations for caterers, photographers, etc. is very helpful and not to mention, awesome vendors! I cant even put into words how magical our wedding was at VHC. The venue is absolutely stunning and our day was PERFECT!! All the vendors did a fabulous job and made our day so special. The Vadnais Commons is a wonderful venue to celebrate a wedding! The staff and vendors work together to ensure a spectacular event! I would schedule a visit to The Commons before booking anywhere else!

VHC is hands down the BEST VALUE for a wedding venue in the Twin Cities. Trust me, I did all the research and this place was phenomenal. I got so many compliments on the venue; people were absolutely floored by the facility. My fiancé and I really wanted a venue that was private, had outdoor space and was naturally beautiful. We also didn't want to have to worry about capacity issues with our fluctuating guest list, and I knew with this place we wouldn't have to deal with the stress of bumping up against maximum capacity issues (it's incredibly spacious). They also have vendor recommendations that they have fully vetted that are all fantastic (and economical!). This takes a lot of work out of finding, vetting and securing high quality vendors (caterer, DJ, decorator, etc.).

And as if the venue wasn't amazing enough on its own (it is), Lorah Palmer - your main point of contact - is outstanding. I cannot stress this enough, but if you have not planned a wedding before (the norm), you need someone on your team who knows what they are doing. Lorah is that person and then some; she is an absolute pro with countless years of experience. I know other reviews rave about Lorah, but let me tell you this: the fact that she is included in the venue cost is simply PRICELESS. I would have happily paid twice as much as we paid for the experience of working with Lorah (and we were on a tight budget). Everything from meeting with us throughout the wedding planning process as many times as we wanted to working with our cake vendor who happened to have "no record of our cake order" (Lorah had a beautiful cake there within an hour and had the company issue us a gift card that more than covered the cake), Lorah's involvement in our wedding planning and big day helped both the groom and I fully enjoy our engagement and bid day stress free. I always knew everything was in good hands, and that was absolutely priceless.

Lorah Palmer, the event coordinator was gracious, accommodating, and helpful from start to finish. To have her on site at the reception to handle anything that came up was perfect. Because VHC has a list of vendors to work with, we had a much easier time choosing our catering-Donatelli's-wonderful, DJ-Greg Ellis-awesome, decorator-Grand Designs-gorgeous-- and beverage service-Complete Beverage-perfect. All were splendid as well! A perfect day for the wonderful couple!

Beautiful venue. Very professional advice and guidance throughout the whole process. Our wedding day was so relaxing and enjoyable because of staff at the VHC (Lorah in particular) had coordinated everything to a T! You will not be disappointed if you choose the VHC.

As a business owner and a caterer, I enjoy working with Lorah Palmer and the staff at Vadnais Commons----details are important to them and they make certain all of the vendors are on the same page to ensure a flawless event. The ballroom is spacious and open and there is a great lobby area for your guests to get away from the music if they so choose. Vadnais Heights Commons is one of our favorite venues to cater receptions. I guarantee you a great experience working with Lorah and your guests will have a fantastic experience at your reception.

I am the owner of BRIE cater and The Commons is a beautiful venue with parking that can hold 400 guest. There are not many venues like it that can accommodate a larger group. The have a commercial kitchen attached to the event space to help with the success of the caterers. The staff at the Commons are every friendly and great to work with!!

I would highly recommend The Commons to anybody! The space is beautiful with the wood beams, high ceilings, and windows. We had both our ceremony and reception at The Commons and everything turned out absolutely perfect! Everyone involved with The Commons is great to work with! The coordinator, Lorah was amazing. She is SO knowledgeable, very flexible, and easy to get a hold of. She really put us at ease becasue of how on top of it she was and we really trusted her opinion. We ended up using a lot of the vendors that were recommended through the venue, and they were all fantastic! The food choices are amazing too, we went with Donatelli's which we got so many compliments on. All around in every aspect, The Commons is an excellent wedding venue!

The space is fantastic! To be honest it was the only place I wanted to have our reception at. We checked out other venues and they just didn't compare, to the high ceilings and walls of windows that the commons has. Lorah the event coordinator was amazing as well, our wedding date might have fallen through the cracks a little, since she normally meets with couples 3 months before their wedding date and we met 1 month before. But never the less everything went off without a hitch. Lorah has a great vendor list to help relieve the stress of having to find a vendor. She also made sure that our vision came to life on our big day, by adding all of our personal touches. We couldn't have asked for a better day or better vendors working with us. I highly recommend this venue!

The Commons staff has done an exceptional job ensuring our events are successful. We have hosted 3 large scale community events over the past three years at the Vadnais Heights Commons. Lorah goes out of her way to make sure all of the little details are taken care of. I highly recommend the Commons for any event you plan to host. Lorah was our contact with VHC. She was very responsive, professional and helpful. She walked us through the process of having a banquet for 200 people. A few days before the event, she reviewed our table placements, slide shows and the evening's schedule in order that all details were covered. Everything was set up and ready for our evening when we arrived. It was a fabulous venue for our event and looked absolutely beautiful! The warm wood, large windows and stunning lights made the room look spectacular! I would recommend VHC for any special occasion!

This was a perfect venue for my Daughter & Son in laws wedding reception . The staff is very professional & through. The venue has selected , through experience, vendors they suggest, we appreciated this very much. I felt no need to '"reinvent the wheel". We did everything they suggested & the whole planning process was PAINLESS!! We had fun planning for our guests & and the night went off without a hitch. I highly recommend this venue.

Honestly, booking at Vadanis Heights Commons was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. The space is stunning and filled with light. One of the best things about it is that it is so beautiful, decorations don't have to be over the top to make a big impact. We had both our ceremony and reception at The Commons and the flip was seamless and executed perfectly. All communication was speedy and the price was unbeatable. There were so many places to take pictures around the commons in nature, and it is a short drive from St Paul to take more city pictures. Everyone was so accommodating and I loved how the space could be personalized with minimal "stuff" coming in, because after the wedding, the last thing you will want to do is take down and find places for the million things you "need" for the day!

Honestly though, the best investment we made towards our day was hiring Lorah as our wedding coordinator. Before the wedding she walked us through every detail, bringing up things I hadn't even thought of. She was available constantly, I honestly cant think of a time it took her more than an hour to respond to an email or phone call. She bent over backwards to make the day smooth and stress-free, and if there was anything that didn't go the way it was supposed to on the day, I don't know about it! A couple days before the wedding, I had an issue arise with a decoration that I was bringing in, and I was so worried about it and how I was going to get it into the space on time. Lorah took care of it for me, even though she didn't have to, and six weeks after the wedding I am still so grateful and relieved. I loved our experience with her, and if you do decide to book this space, HIRE HER. It is so worth it.

My fiancee first went to check the venue out, and he was the one who really loved it, I went with my mom a few weeks later and met with Lorah, and she really was able to help me envision the possibilities of the space. One of my favorite parts about working closely with Lorah and VHC was that they had preferred vendors, vendors that they knew from working with them and ones that made me feel so at ease when the big day came- knowing the ins and outs of the venue and what is expected was amazing. I truly felt like my dreams came true, the decor and flowers were above and beyond anything I wanted! One of the most important things I felt as a bride was having expectations met, and that also meant venue coordinator and vendors were honest in what I could expect; the possibilities were endless and I really felt special, everyone on that day was so fun and helpful! Thanks to everyone at VHC for making our wedding the best day of our lives!

I literally cannot say enough good things about Vadnais Heights Commons. From the very beginning, when we took a tour, we knew we were in a special place. Walking around the building and the grounds, we could literally see ourselves eating dinner, dancing to great music and having fun with our guests. It was so unlike any other venue we had seen or heard of in the Twin Cities area...and really for an amazing-affordable price. Planning the reception with Lorah and the other preferred vendors was a breeze. They all made sure every detail was exactly what we wanted. Lorah's reception coordinator service was well worth the value; having Lorah take care of everything on your big day takes the stress off of you. We were able to enjoy our morning and our ceremony so much knowing that the reception venue was beautifully set up and just waiting for us to come enjoy! Lorah remembered everything we wanted to have happen...and she made it happen. We are still receiving compliments about the beautiful, unique, and wonderful reception we had at the Commons. Absolutely loved The Vadnais Heights Commons!!!! The second I walked into the venue I knew I this was going to be the place for our wedding. It is a gorgeous place! Lorah was extremely easy to work with and went above and beyond to help us plan our day. She was organized, quick to respond and executed details to perfections. It can be shabby shiek, rustic elegance, elegant and majestic or simply a beautiful room that brings the outdoors inside. The grounds are awesome for wedding photos and have impeccable landscaping with ivy growing on the 50 foot brick pillars.
The vendors are all wonderful to work with and many great choices of caterers. No food and beverage minimums or strict rules other venues incorporate into their pricing.
No hidden fess because Lorah Palmer will explain all costs in detail prior talking a deposit and contract. Lorah helps you understand the entire planning, orchestration and execution process.
Lorah has detailed systems, timelines and floor plans that she reviews with you throughout the year as well as with your vendors. Lorah runs this venue with perfection.

I have been to a number of wedding receptions at this facility. So many friends have done nothing but rave about how wonderful they were to work with, what a great value it was, and how expertly they pulled of the reception. Having two daughters of my own, I am sure we will be talking to the Commons.

Our special day was stress-free and personalized with our planner Lorah. We loved how she made sure we had the event executed with the vision we had for the day. All details taken care of, support at every step of the way. We couldn't have done it without the expertise of Lorah at our side. Everyone at this location is amazing, from start to finish whether it's the planning process or the day of the wedding they don't leave anything up to chance and they help you think of all possibilities to make your day the best it can be. Lorah Palmer is amazing at what she does and helps you plan EVERYTHING and I mean everything and she helps you stay on task and with out her I don't think we could have pulled the whole thing off! On the day of the wedding she took charge and dealt with any "issues" for me so that I could focus on the important thing, getting married! She makes sure that she has the best staff to accomplish everything for you and she really works with some of the BEST people in the biz, I can't express enough how happy I am to know these people, and I truly feel like I have made life long connections after working so closely with them. They all go above and beyond in so many ways and while I hear a lot of people talk about all the headaches with wedding planning, I feel lucky that I didn't have to deal with headaches! :) You are all amazing I can't thank you guys enough and I can't wait to show off all the photos. Vadnais heights Commons was perfect for our wedding day. We couldn't have asked for more! From the service, to the decor, honestly everything! We can definitely say we have made some great friendships with the VHC community. Our wedding day was what we dreamed of and more. It was absolutely perfect, and I felt such at ease the entire day because it ran so smoothly. Please, if you are newly engaged, come check out the commons!!! I highly recommend it as well as Lorah's recommendations for her vendors and who to go through. Wedding planning couldn't have been any easier, and the day of as well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts VHC community and Lorah. You guys have made our day so so so special and we cannot wait to tell all our friends and family about it. This was the first of 7 venues we looked at for our wedding, 4/22/16. We just felt like home here... and as we saw other venues we just kept comparing them all to Vadnais. It has such a great mixture of modern, but warm, design, natural light, and looked incredible with very little decor needed. The best part was, it was the least expensive by a huge margin. Best value for sure. Several hotels nearby, or a cheap Uber ride for local guests. We met Lorah Palmer, event planner, for our tour and she was phenomenal right off the bat. Wanted to know what we wanted, and didn't overstep with suggestions. The suggestions she did have were always in our best interested and ended up only making things better. She really knows the space, and what people like and dislike in an event. We also loved the fact that we were given a list of "preferred vendors" to choose from for essentially everything. Some places allow you to choose ANY caterer and some require that you use their provided caterer... being offered a list of 8-10 catering options was a welcomed change. It was less overwhelming that choosing ANY caterer in the world, but it was also comforting to know that any caterer you chose, knew the venue and the VHC staff. (We went with Donatelli's and CANNOT say enough good things about them also... I still have people tell me how amazing our wedding food was, 6 months later.) We also used their preferred photographer, Spicey Meatball, bar service, as well as a decorator for a few things. Overall, if we could do it again, we wouldn't change a thing. It was the best day, and it had a lot to do with the venue and the staff.... thank you Lorah and VHC for helping us celebrate THE best day ever!

My sister’s wedding was at Vadnais Heights Commons and it was spectacular. I was her maid of honor and my sister left much of the planning up to me and the event coordinator, Lorah. Lorah was great and pleasant to work with.
No one in our family had to worry about anything throughout the year and especially the week of the wedding. Lorah helped us plan and organize all of our details from décor, seating charts, floor plan and much more. She was always prompt for our meetings and patient with questions and was understanding even when I canceled last minute. Michelle with Grand Design and Lorah gave us unique design ideas that enhanced the room.
The vendor selections enable you to have any budget you desire. There are “no food and beverage minimums” at Vadnais Heights Commons, which gives you the opportunity to design your wedding around your budget. The building is stunning and the grounds are impeccable. I highly recommend the Vadnais Heights Commons for a wedding if you want the personalized attention to detail.

Everything was perfect! Lorah was beyond amazing to work with! She is very knowledgeable and knows great vendors!!! Every recommendation she made was excellent!! We loved every second of our wedding. The room flip was also seamless.

Vadnais Heights commons was and is beautiful. Lorah is a great manager, and extremely responsive. All of the staff know what they're doing, and it shows. You can walk in with a full plan, and they're on board, or you can walk in with no idea whatsoever, and they will guide you. I really appreciated the assistance provided in staying on top of other vendors, and helping find particular vendors. My wedding was fairly small, and we didn't feel dwarfed, but I can see how the space would also work well for a much larger wedding. The standard draping is gorgeous- you do have to use their vendor, but she's a pro, too. I got the sense that everyone really cared, really listened, and helped make the day magical. I would recommend VHC to anyone, but especially to larger parties who want to do a secular ceremony outside of a church. Their turnover process for the space- going from ceremony to reception- is very smooth and coordinated.

We had our reception at Vadnais Heights Commons on the coldest day in January! We loved having our beautiful winter wedding here because the large floor to ceiling windows gave us the feeling we were having an outdoor wedding! It was stunning with candles everywhere and the space with the high ceilings felt modern with rustic beams and character. Lorah Our event coordinator was phenomenal-- she was so fast to respond to our emails and questions and helped to make our day just how we wanted it! They offer great catering options and people continue to rave about our perfect winter wedding!

Having our wedding at Vadnais Heights Commons helped make our wedding better than we ever could have imagined. Not only is the venue absolutely gorgeous, but the staff is extremely helpful and attentive. Throughout our planning process, any time I had a question, Lorah (the wedding coordinator), was always available to help me out! On the day of our event, the staff was so kind and helpful - I felt like they were part of the family! My husband and I held both our ceremony and reception at VHC and the process of switching the grand ballroom from the ceremony hall into the reception hall was quick and very smooth - once again, this speaks to how wonderful their staff is.

A huge plus to VHC is the recommended vendors that come along with it. I have had so many wedding guests bragging about my DJ (Joe Vruno), how wonderful my food was (True Tastes, Chef Jeff) and how elegant the room decor was (Grand Designs). All of these vendors were recommended to us by VHC and exceeded all expectations! Apart from the inside being stunning, the grounds are beautiful and provide many great places for pictures. Overall, I couldn't have imagined having a better day and it's all thanks to our experience at VHC! It's a GORGEOUS venue and the staff is second to none. I would recommend VHC to anyone planning their special day!

Lorah Palmer and her staff did an exquisite job of exceeding our expectations to make for a beautiful wedding day. They were prompt, prepared, and extremely knowledgeable about weddings.

This was absolutely the best venue for us and far exceeded our expectations. In addition to it being beautiful, it changes in beauty as the nighttime sets in and the lights from decorations and candles glow with the glass, wood and rock surroundings. Breathtaking in such a natural way!
Lorah Palmer, the planner, organizer and contact person for Vadnais Heights Commons is incredible. She is accessible, organized, upbeat and so helpful. By the time the wedding comes, every detail is outlined and we were able to just enjoy the evening and our guests. Lorah asked such great questions as we planned our reception that we felt confident on the day of the wedding. I am not sure where this woman finds the energy to be kind and gracious everyday, but she does, and we were the happy recipients of her goodness.
We had 260 people at the venue and the guests had plenty of room to socialize and dance. I would pick this venue again in a minute and would love to work with Lorah Palmer again. I would highly recommend Vadnais Heights Commons to anyone who wants a beautiful, excellent place to celebrate a wedding or special event.

We had our wedding reception at the Vadnais Heights Commons earlier this year. I would highly recommend this facility….IT IS MAGNIFICENT!! The reception area includes a fireplace and seating area to welcome your quests. The main banquet area has floor to ceiling windows, vaulted wood ceilings, patio to the back yard and large drop down video screens are just a few of the wonderful amenities. Lorah Palmer is also great person to work with. She is very organized, always available to answer questions and also provided us with suggestions to help make this a very special day to remember. The vendors associated with VHC were equally great. Jerry and Janet Kane from Kanes Catering, Michele from Grand Designs and Complete Beverage Company were wonderful to work with and did an excellent job. We had both our ceremony and reception at VHC. We worked with Lorah, and it couldn't have been a more enjoyable experience. Lorah is so attentive to her clients, and gives them 110% when it's time for your big day. The staff at VHC were professional and accomidating when we wanted to hold our ceremony outside, and had some out-of-the-box requests. While the rental price is a bit steep, you are definately getting what you pay for. They also give you a list of preferred vendors which are the best around.

Venue was amazing. The wedding coordinator, Lorah, was extremely accommodating and helpful. Awesome architecture; large wood beams and columns, floor to ceiling glass, polished concrete floors, and vine covered brick and stone made for amazing pictures. Highly recommended.

Vadnais Heights Commons was the perfect venue for our wedding! We couldn't have picked a more perfect spot to tie the knot! From our first visit to the end of our wedding celebration, the venue and staff went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. Having a beautiful venue is one thing, but being able to trust the people you are working with was so comforting as a bride. Guests are still talking about Vadnais Heights Commons, and the photos turned out beautiful, inside and outside of the building. The vendors they recommend also did a fabulous job, and I would 100% recommend VHC!

VHC was the perfect venue for our wedding! The hall was absolutely beautiful and our photographer couldn't get over the perfect sunlight shining through all of the windows! We had about 325 guests and the hall did not look or feel crowded at all! So many guests raved about the beauty, size, and location of the VHC.

Lorah Palmer was wonderful to work with. She was helpful, organized, friendly, and went out of her way to assist us with things that came up along the way! We were very satisfied with our venue and would highly recommend it to anyone!

The most beautiful venue I have ever seen! I knew this was the place for us as soon as I walked through the doors. On the wedding day seeing my decorations all put together was absolutely amazing! Lorah the wedding coordinator is equally as amazing! She is always available to answer questions and made our whole process run smoothly. I really liked how the venue can hold such a large amount of people without being crowded. I would definitely recommend this venue to others.

VHC and their staff made my wedding day seamless. It was wonderful. What I liked the best about this place was I never felt pressure about doing anything. There were quite a few things a lot of people do during their wedding that we chose not to do or vice versa and no one ever said..."are you sure you don't want that," or "most people do that." Also, the venue is beautiful and spacious and you can do a lot of different set ups with the space provided. I have nothing bad to say about the locations or staff! They were all wonderful and so easy to work with!!

Lorah was so nice to work with, she is so sweet and very professional. Planning with her took so much weight off my shoulders and she made me feel confident that our day would go amazing, which it did. This hall is breathtaking! The moment we walked in we knew we wanted to have our wedding here. One of the main reasons I wanted this hall was that we had the entire building to ourselves so we didn't have to worry about random people walking in. They also had a room where guests could put their gifts into so all we had to do was lock the room until we were ready to bring the gifts home. The building is so pretty you don't need to decorate, but we did end up getting the ceiling drapery because it was just too beautiful to pass up. We had 280 guests and it was perfect because there was enough room for everyone and we didn't have to move any tables when the dancing started. I received a bunch of compliments on the hall!

I would recommend Vadnais to any bride that wants an absolutely gorgeous venue, professional and capable staff, and stress free wedding planning and wedding day :) I have no complaints or suggestions of how to improve. We worked with Lorah throughout the whole process who was friendly, easy to get ahold of, and willing to answer any questions we had along the way. Her event planning experience made our day go smoothly, as she helped us think through the schedule/flow/all the details. Giving her all of the vendor contact information - I knew there would be no major kinks because she would take care of it. The vendors Vadnais uses we were also incredibly pleased with - we had no problems with Kane's catering or Michele who did the drapery.

Vadnais Heights Commons is a very beautiful facility and worked wonderfully for our 300 wedding guests.
Lorah Palmer is a very helpful, professional and accommodating wedding coordinator. Having her as the coordinator for the first 2 hours of the reception proved invaluable. The 90+ floating candles were not able to be lit because the water level was too high in the vases.(a vendor's doing). Our daughter was very disappointed the candles were not lit ... Lorah immediately stepped in, and with an action plan and team effort, got all the candles lit .
Our original plan was to not hire Lorah for the 2 hours for budget reasons.. As we got closer to the wedding date, I I felt that because of the time, effort and $$ already invested in daughter's wedding, another $100 was minor. And I was more comfortable knowing Lorah would be there to handle anything that came up at the start of reception.

Overall experience was great! Thank you!!

The Vadnais Heights Commons is beautiful, and we had multiple guests tell me they were thinking of having their weddings/other events there after they saw ours. Lorah was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we never felt like we were bothering her with our multiple questions or concerns. Even the night before when our caterer changed setup times on us, Lorah was able to accommodate the last minute change and make us feel at ease. We'll be recommending the VHC to anyone and everyone!

The Vadnais Heights Commons was perfect! We worked with Lorah to organize our day and she was awesome. We actually only went to VHC and chose the venue on the spot, it is open and the city offers flexibility to really make your day special by allowing several different caterers and options for each part of the event. We were able to personalize everything and couldn't have done this just anywhere. The location is private but spacious and the wooded interior is gorgeous in all of our pictures and offers a very warm atmosphere even with such high ceilings. We received so many compliments about the location and would recommend it without any doubts! We are so happy we had our reception at VHC! Our wedding at the Vadnais Heights Commons on March 8th, 2013, could not have been better. The facility is beautiful and the staff are extremely attentive and professional. They will ensure that your event is perfect from the planning stages to the big day! We had so many of our guests tell us that it was the best wedding that they had ever been to. Gorgeous floor to ceiling windows and a beautiful fireside room at the entry provide a warm and inviting facility. The technology provided for our event was top notch also. This facility, along with it's exceptional staff, is a true gem for the community of Vadnais Heights. We will have wonderful memories of our event and hope that our family will be able to utilize this awesome facility for generations to come!

Our wedding was an absolute smooth ride thanks to Lorah's attention to detail. She went above and beyond to make sure our event was a success. I have recommend her to many of our friends and they can say the same thing.

This establishment is beautiful! The staff is very friendly and willing to work for you to make your special day unforgettable! We had a misunderstanding with the votives for our candles and the woman working that day (Judy) went to her home, grabbed all the glass votives that she has, cleaned them and set them out for our wedding. Lorah was so helpful and thought of everything. She was in touch with me and called me and kept me updated on everything. Without her, something would have been forgotten. The space looked amazing and was very clean and they were completely prepared for us. Thank you Commons!! We will never forget it!

Great place for a reception. Huge ball room, beautiful natural colored woodwork. Two whole walls of floor to ceiling windows, and skylights above, with a park as the view. We were one of the first people to book here since it opened. I would suggest this venue to anyone.
