Pearl Catering was a hit at our wedding!

We had a wonderful experience with Pearl Catering at our wedding about would 100% recommend them to anyone getting married in the area. Ashley B was our contact there and was so fun to work with. She answered all of our questions and made sure everything food/beverage related went smoothly day-of! Everything was so delicious at our wedding--we received many compliments (both at our reception and in the following days) about how good the food was! We would hire Pearl Catering again in a heartbeat.

Highly recommend!

We loved working with everyone at Urban Studio and cannot recommend them enough! Everyone is so accommodating, kind and collaborative to work with having our rehearsal dinner was amazing.

We received so many compliments on our rehearsal venue because the space was solely for our guests and we had Churros locos for dessert (Natalia thank you for the recommendation!) and it was perfect the way Urban lifted the garage door in the venue.

Highly recommend working with UrbanStudio for your wedding, rehearsal or future events :)

Great experience

We absolutely loved our experience at Urban Studio for our wedding. The space was perfect for our 55 person guest count and was quickly flipped from ceremony to reception while the guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails. It really is a blank canvas and we were able to customize the space to fit our vision. Natalia and Ashley are very professional and were a pleasure to work with. The food was EXCELLENT - seriously, our guests devoured all of the appetizers and entrees. Several people commented on the food and many said it was the best (by far) they had had at a wedding

Dream reception

Urban studio made our Dream wedding reception come true. The space is truly a beautiful and open canvas for you to design. Along with the help of our florist, the reception was a hit. Urban studio was exceptionally professional and easy to connect with. They were prudent and so kind!! The food selection was made easy and everything was delicious. People had a wonderful time. Perfect Reception Venue

Urban Studio was everything and more that we wanted in a reception venue! Ashley and Natalia were so helpful in making the decision and in finally pulling it all together. Their staff executed our vision perfectly. The food from Pearl Catering was some of the best catering food I have ever had! Their staff was also so quick to clean up the occassional broken glass (a sign of a good party) and they were efficient in serving the food and cleaning up everything afterwards. All in all, they made our reception easy to pull off. I highly recommend booking them for any event!

Perfect Day

Ashley and her team at Urban Studio made our micro wedding a breeze. They were so flexible about changes up until the day of with guest cancelations and changes. The venue can really be made into whatever you’re looking for, and the floor plan is perfect for a small wedding or a large one. Not the mention the food was amazing, and the bartender was great.

Meagan from Pearl Catering is the BEST

My husband and I got married in June at Maysara Winery (little behind on reviews). I can't say enough about Meagan from Pearl Catering. We would have booked Pearl Catering for our wedding regardless but I'm SO happy Meagan is the one we got to work with. She was very quick to respond to my questions and concerns and on the day of our wedding was SO on it with getting tables up and in the buffet line (without announcing anything) and right before I walked down the aisle she helped me down the stairs and held my dress so I didn't fall down them. She kicked ass! Also, the two things people still mention to us about our wedding is the gorgeous venue and the amazing food. People told us it was the best wedding food they've ever had. I honestly think it was the best wedding food I had ever had too! Everything we chose was delicious! But we did two pre-wedding tastings with Meagan because it was so hard to chose the menu - EVERYTHING was amazing! In addition, the buffet package was very affordable which made it that much better. Go with Pearl Catering (and cross your fingers you'll be working with Meagan)! You will NOT regret it!

Simply delicious

Pearl catering catered our wedding and the food was just delicious. So many compliments on the dinner! We especially recommend the polenta and salmon, and it’s great that their menu is seasonal. The staff was great day-of as well, and Ashley was so responsive and helpful with planning (and day-of). We definitely would recommend for wedding food and any other catering needs!

The best food ever!

My husband and I used Pearl Catering for our wedding at Castaway in August 2019 and we have absolutely no regrets! So many of my guests said to us for DAYS after the wedding that it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding! Meagan was so helpful to us throughout the year we spent planning the wedding- she set up multiple tastings to make sure everything was perfect! The day of the wedding she made sure the bride and groom always had food and a drink readily available. All of the servers and bartenders were very professional and attentive. Again- the food was incredible! I was worried how it would stay fresh in the buffet line, but they turned it over often and even the steak was perfectly cooked. Pearl Catering made our big day go so smoothly and also made it a memorable and delicious experience for our guests!

Great food! Awesome Staff! Very happy

All of our guests walked up to us during our special day and let us know how much they liked the food. Nicole was very responsive to all my nervous calls and emails and she was there to help with almost everything on our wedding day! Pearl catering helped with setup and take down of our wedding and let us just enjoy our day with our families. I would hire Pearl Catering again without a second thought!

Everything you need in one place!

We just used Urban Studio for our wedding, and we really could not have been more pleased with the turnout! Nicole was really great to work with, she always responded to emails and answered all my questions.

The venue is basically a blank slate, and you can put your mark on it however you like. We wanted a warm wintery vibe, and got just that. They flipped the venue from ceremony to reception in under an hour, and it looked like it had taken days- it was incredible!

We received endless compliments on our food, and they were great accommodating my husband's celiac. The bartenders, servers, and staff were all very kind and attentive.

It was a perfect day for us!

Excellent Customer Service, Delicious Food

Pearl Catering was everything we could have asked for! They were responsive, eager to meet our vision, and proactive in ensuring all the details were seen to. And most importantly, their food is delicious!

I, and most of my family, are vegetarians, whereas my husband and most of our other guests prefer a meat option. Pearl Catering was able to create a menu that provided delightful options for everyone. We also had a guest with severe allergies to a number of different ingredients. Pearl Catering created a custom entree for him that he said was one of the best things he had eaten all year.

I was also blown away by their attention to detail. Amid all the commotion of the wedding day, they had the presence of mind to serve the kids first, for which we received rave reviews from every exhausted parent in attendance. And they easily handled several last-minute requests on our part to serve certain guests first as they had to leave early.

There is nothing about their service that I can critique, their food is amazing, and I would recommend them any time!

Delicious food, amazing service!

Our experience with Urban Studio was amazing! We worked with Nicole for most of the process, and she was super helpful in nailing down all the little details that we wouldn't have thought of without her. Nicole and her staff also made the day go extremely smoothly, from making sure the food got out on time to flipping the room from ceremony to reception layout. Also, the food. Was. Amazing! We got so many comments from guests that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. I loved that we got to create our own signature drinks for the bar as well. Overall we had an amazing experience with Urban Studio and Pearl Catering, and highly recommend them!!

I cannot say enough great things about Nicole and Pearl Catering. Food was so important to us and they worked with us the entire way to create a menu that was unique and perfect to us and our guests. We got married 2 months ago and I still have people raving to me about our food and how delicious they thought it was. Not only is their quality and taste of food fantastic but their service was amazing and prices were reasonable. They were absolutely amazing to work with and I can't recommend them enough.

It was very important to us to have delicious food at our wedding and Pearl Catering really wowed everyone. All of the food was so delicious, everyone was complimenting it. There had an amazing selection of foods to choose from and lots of ways to serve it. We had steak and salmon for dinner, both were tender and moist and perfectly cooked! The staff were quick and efficient and very professional. Nicole was phenomenal! I can't praise her enough, my whole family loved her and she went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly.

Katie and Pearl Catering were absolutely amazing to work with! I highly recommend!! We found Pearl Catering as a recommended vendor from our wedding venue. Wow, we are so happy we went with them! We got to taste our food before committing to what we wanted for our wedding, which was so much fun. Katie made the whole process easy to understand, walked us through our options, and kept our budget in mind. We even coordinated the rentals through Pearl Catering which made our lives that much easier! The food was THE BEST. We had 4 passed appetizers during the cocktail hour, then different stations: mac n cheese bar, pulled chicken with corn salad, and tri tip with a hazelnut salad. Our guests didn't stop talking about how good the food was! Thank you Katie and Pearl Catering for a fantastic wedding. We really appreciate all of your help and the fantastic food!!!!

Pearl catering (and Katie!) was nothing than amazing. Katie made the process not only smooth, but enjoyable. We live out of state and had specific times we had to do our tastings and have other meetings and Katie was always accommodating. They offer amazing food at reasonable prices. We love Urban Studio and Pearl Catering! We started out with a bit of rocky start when the person we were working with was no longer working there right after we signed our contract, but once we got paired up with Nicole it was smooth sailing from there. Nicole was so kind and attentive to our needs. She knew our vision, and leading up to the wedding she walked through our day with us several times to ensure every detail was accounted for. Also, the day of she was a dream working with our friends and family in regards to set up, and with each of our vendors. We utilized Urban Studio as our reception space and it was everything we could have hoped for. We had approx. 70 guests and it was the perfect space for our guests to mingle and dance. Not only was Nicole amazing, but the entire staff was so kind and professional. AND Pearl Catering was AMAZING! We had so many compliments regarding the food that was served as well as the BBQ food truck we reserved through them. All in all, amazing experience!

Urban Studio and Pearl Catering is AWESOME!!!! My daughter and new son-in-law were married at Urban Studio on April 22, 2018. From day one of planning, Nicole was responsive, knowledgeable and professional. Not only did she respond to me, but coordinated with my florist and contacted my DJ who was not getting back to me or my daughter. I heard from him minutes after she contacted him. The food was AMAZING! By far, the most compliments we received from our guests was how good the food was and it was DELICIOUS. From start to finish, Urban Studio and Pearl Catering are the BEST. FYI, this is my 3rd wedding in 3 years :)

Food was amazing, the service was prompt and professional, they added decor to the buffet tables, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommended. You can go with their alcohol service, but if you can get your hands on beer and wine at a discount through personal/professional connections (like I did), they allow that, too. We had Pearl catering do the food and bar for our wedding at the Foundry in Lake Oswego. Ashley was a huge help and really got what we were asking for. Urban Studio was the first and only venue that my husband and I toured for our wedding. I knew it was exactly what I was looking for the minute we walked into the space. Its urban style perfectly balanced with the rustic décor we brought in to decorate. The location is in a central spot in the Pearl which was easy for our guests from all over town to access. Before the big day the Event Manager Nicole made me completely feel at ease and reassured me that everything would be handled. She was detailed, organized and had great suggestions. On our wedding day, Nicole and the Pearl Catering staff provided excellent service and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the event. Our friends and family loved the dinner Pearl Catering prepared and served and are still raving about the food!

My husband and I absolutely loved Pearl Catering and Urban Studio! From the food, to the venue, to the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff, our wedding was the wedding of our dreams thanks to these guys.

Looking for a caterer? Look no further. Guys, Pearl Catering is it. My guests were going back for seconds and thirds. My maid of honor was overheard saying "this food is so ******* good." Another friend said "don't tell my mom, but these potatoes are even better than hers." I heard comments from several guest throughout the night and the following weeks about how incredible the meal was.

Looking for a venue? Urban Studio was amazing because it can be easily decorated to make your vision come to life. I really love how versatile the space was. It was the perfect size for my wedding, which had 115 guests. Also with Urban Studio you get some of the best food in the Portland area (see above comments). Random thing I really appreciated: it was so nice having that little loft area available so my husband, the wedding party, and I could hang out during the cocktail hour and be away from the crowd.

One last thing, I just wanted to thank Kelly from the bottom my heart for being such an amazing coordinator. Kelly, thank you for putting up with my constant emails, for making sure every detail was perfect, and for even putting the flowers on the cake when the florist and bakery failed to communicate with each other. In general, thank you for going above and beyond.

We researched a ton of caterers and event spaces and Urban Studio ended up being the most affordable and easy option for our 80-person wedding (although they can fit up to 150-ish people). The space itself is sort of an industrial blank space that you can really make your own. The food was delicious--people told me the Chicken Saltimbocca was the best wedding food they've ever had--and it was very easy to customize and to allow for specialized diets. My cousin with celiac disease told me it's the best she's ever eaten at a wedding because they were so accommodating to her dietary needs! They were very easy-going and overall very easy to communicate with. I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

Pearl Catering's service was so great, we hired them before we even tasted the food! We were planning a destination wedding and only had a weekend to meet with vendors. We happened to meet Katie from Pearl while at a venue we were checking out and she met with us on the spot! When we went back for a second planning weekend and were finally able to do our tasting, we were blown away by how good the food was! It was hard to narrow down to exactly what we wanted because it was all so delicious! The day of our wedding, the food was just as good! Guests complimented that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had! Pearl was so accommodating as well. We wanted to have a heavy hors devours style dinner and they were able to take the full size entrees and convert them into "appetizer" sized dishes. And the mac 'n cheese bar was a huge hit! Katie also picked up our cupcakes that we ordered from another vendor and brought them to our venue the day of the wedding - at no additional cost. Pearl Catering really made our wedding a success!

I worked with Ashley and Pearl Catering for my recent wedding. It was perfect. I'm having a brunch wedding and had tastings before I did the tasting at Pearl Catering. There food does not taste good, but also look nice! Food looks like what you would expected to see for a ceremony, which I believe is pretty important for wedding catering. Since I was planning on combining lunch food and breakfast food together for my wedding, I actually did two tasting, and Ashley was nice enough to arrange two tastings for me! They were flexible enough to arrange any sort of combination of foods, as long as you mention, they will meet your request. Pricing was super reasonable for the food they provide. Actually the pricing was the best after I compared Pearl Catering with other caters I met. On they day-of, everything was awesome and all my guest love the food. Service was great! Everything was so organized and you do not need to worry at all. I'm really happy that I had the chance to work with Ashley!

Working with Pearl Catering was a dream. I live in Seattle and got married in Portland, OR Last July. I worked with Katie for all of the planning and tasting. The process was seemless be she was always on top of the fine details I was forgetting about. Compared to other vendors, the price was very affordable. On top of that, all of our guests raved about our food, especiallly the cheese tortilini. At the wedding, the staff was flexible and willing to go above and beyond for us. Katie Carver led the charge as Pearl Catering provided the food for our fabulous backyard wedding reception. Our wedding was July 30, 2016, and our guests are STILL raving about the food! I found Katie by her fantastic online reviews, and I am delighted to contribute to them at this point. Katie was flexible and accommodating, every step of the way. She had no problem when we found a more affordable vendor than hers for tables/chairs/etc. She brought us to one of her restaurants for a tasting, and we got to bring my in-laws for a fantastic experience! The staff that provided the service at our wedding was unfailingly energetic and helpful, and I was thankful to know that our beloved guests were always going to be treated well. I heard from our photographer that Katie's team delivered hot and perfectly cooked food, no matter the venue--that was definitely a correct assessment. Everything, from the steak to the pasta sides, was piping hot and fresh! And Katie herself is so darn communicative and helpful that our coordinator did not feel the need to charge us for an extra coordinating assistant. If you are looking for delicious food and a stress-free planning experience, look no further than Pearl Catering.

Pearl Catering and Urban Studio were the perfect combo for our wedding. Katie is one of the best catering leads I've ever worked with. (Yes, i do work in the event industry). She was responsive, flexible and so helpful on our wedding day. Her crew was as top notch as ever. Going around to visit with our guests during dinner we received so many compliments on the food, and after the wedding we heard over and over how great the venue was. It was perfect for our group of about 90 people. I would do it again at Urban Studio - no questions asked. Thank you Pearl Catering!

Pearl provided food and drinks for our wedding. They were fantastic. Food was delicious and they had a great selection of beer and wine. Everybody said the food was great as well. Would definitely recommend.

Pearl catered our wedding this past June, and the experience was absolutely first-rate. The food we were served at our initial tasting was delicious — not serviceable... delicious — and as my wife and I had stipulated from the very beginning that food quality was going to be one of our highest priorities for the wedding, we knew to go with them before we had even finished the meal. Quite rationally, though, I think, we still had reservations about the quality being upheld as production of the menu got scaled up from two diners to 125. Well, take my word for it: the food served on the big day tasted exactly the same as it had during the tasting — maybe even better — which is about the most compelling possible proof that these folks know what they're doing. About ten different people told me over the course of the night (and even during the next few weeks) that it was the best wedding food they'd ever eaten.

Spectacular though it was, the food itself wasn't the whole story. Pearl bent over backwards to accommodate all our guests with food allergies and (in some cases very particular) dietary restrictions, and they never forgot a single detail or made a single mistake, right up until the day itself when they trotted out the beautiful and crystal-clear signage they had made for every dish (including the cakes and cocktails, which they didn't even make). What's more, Katie, our primary contact, was an exceptional communicator, always remembering every last detail about every last thing, never being stingy with her time, never being even one minute late in person or on the phone, and consistently being the picture of kindness. We felt like we had a true partner in her; her actions demonstrated, again and again, that our guests' pleasure was every bit as important to her as it was to us. Basically, we couldn't possibly have asked for a better experience. Pearl Catering are as masterful at service as they are at cooking itself, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Pearl Catering catered our wedding and we were very pleased with them. We worked with Ashley and she was very wonderful to work with. She made sure to coordinate everything with our other vendors as well. We rented some furniture and decorations through WCEP and Ashley made sure everything was set up just the way we want it. She also made a special run on the day of the wedding to buy last minute candles (because I forgot to specify that I wanted candles in the lanterns). The food was very delicious and everyone commented on how good it was. We also had a special food item (authentic appetizer dish) and they worked with us to try and create a perfect recipe for that dish. They were very flexible and tried their best to work with our budget.
On the day off, Ashley made sure that my husband and I got food (they plated it for us and brought it to us and made sure we ate) and they made sure I had my favorite drink in my hands.
We were definitely pleased with their service.

We worked with Katie at Pearl Catering and she was absolutely amazing from day one!! She had us come in multiple times for tastings to find out exactly what our food style for the big day was she offered many different options that weren't in the wedding packet and would have additional items to try that we hadn't even asked for! They even had waffles and pancakes made for our kids who were joining us for the tasting! Since we didn't have a day of coordinator Katie really stepped up to make sure our day was perfect! She did a walk thru of the venue with us a month before the wedding and dealt with the venue manager who was a nightmare! The day of the event was perfect!! Katie was there making sure everything was ready to go and all the other vendors knew what to do and when. The food was amazing and everyone was complimenting us all night! Thanks to Katie and Pearl Catering our reception was absolutely perfect and I could enjoy it completely stress free!

We chose to have our wedding here. We liked that the venue is sophisticated but also very versatile and we love the location. Working with Aurelia was an absolute pleasure. She was easy to contact and she answered all of our questions. Everyone at the wedding loved the food. Many said it was the best food they have had at a wedding. The staff that day was awesome...they were helpful, friendly and efficient. I didn't see anyone being rude or unfriendly. Everyone was all smiles. I loved being able to escape to the loft above the bar. I loved the couches. I loved the people walking by and looking in at our fun party. Everything was perfect and I am really glad we chose to have our wedding here. Our guests were all staying within walking distance so parking wasn't an issue for us. Thank you so much Urban Studio! It was perfect!

Pearl Catering is AMAZING! They catered our August wedding at Bella Via, and Katie and her team did an amazing job. Katie is phenomenal to work with. It's like having a super-organized close friend help with all of the food and set-up details in a really fun, laid back way. She is patient and knowledgeable and will help you navigate the million excellent choices that Pearl has and how to pair them well together. We had a lot of gluten-free options with possibilities for vegans and vegetarians without having to have five entrees. Katie found a way to make this work and to have our food options appeal to our diverse guest palettes. On the day of, everything was executed very nicely, and we had so many compliments on the food, including from guests who have been in the industry for many decades, summing it up as "the best wedding food they've ever had!" We highly recommend Pearl Catering and, in particular, working with Katie!

Pearl Catering was fantastic. My new husband and I have no complaints. We worked with Katie and she very patiently walked us through the entire process. We had no idea what we were in for when it came to planning a wedding. Katie was so much more than a catering coordinator. She also acted as a day-of-coordinator. We could not have pulled off the wedding without her!

The food was fabulous and we received multiple compliments from guests. It was definitely not just wedding food! It was real, restaurant food. Yum! I wish I'd had a chance to eat more of it. I think my hubby and I will probably drive down to the restaurant for special date night just to eat and appreciate the meals once again!

Urban Studio is amazing. Such a beautiful place for a ceremony or reception or both! Very little decorations necessary since it is already such a beautiful space. Annette is the best and so accommodating to make the day truly about us and what we need. The food was also fantastic! Those chef's sure know what they are doing! Only disappointment is that I didnt eat more of the food!

We had a great experience working with Pearl. My now husband is a foodie and wanted to have a thai inspired dinner for our wedding. Pearl worked with us (through two tastings) to get the food exactly how we wanted it; they even had my husband speak to the chef get it right. They also allowed us to fly in a frozen appetizer to fry up (a food from my hometown) and serve at the wedding.
Food service went smoothly at the wedding as did bar service. We also greatly enjoyed that Pearl offers a children's buffet. This was perfect for feeding our youngest guests. Overall, our experience with Pearl catering was great.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at urban studios on 9/28/13. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We got married 5 months after we were engaged so we didn't have a ton of time to plan. We looked into urban studios and they were booked but Via called me when they had a cancellation for the weekend we wanted. From there it was smooth sailing. Did I mention that we were planning this wedding from Boston??? Via was very quick to respond to all of my emails and really gave me peace of mind with all oft he planning. The venue itself was gorgeous and we really didn't have to decorate much at all, but there are also the opportunities to create whatever look you want. It was a great deal financially and the food and staff were amazing too! I definitely recommend this venue for a downtown portland wedding.

I can't say enough about how wonderful our wedding came together at Urban Studio. It was a magical day that we and our guests will cherish memories of for the rest of our lives.

We've got to thank Via for being there throughout the planning process. With so many decisions to make, it was great to have such a professional there to help.

Our friends and family were very impressed with the venue, and they couldn't stop talking about the food. I've never been impressed by the food at weddings ... but everything we had, from our cocktail appetizers to our dinner entrees, were full of flavor and superbly prepared. The bartenders were great as well, and added to the fun atmosphere.

We wholeheartedly recommend Urban Studio as a venue for your special day. Most definitely an excellent value for your event budget.

We selected The Foundry for our venue and they had a list of preferred caterers. We reviewed the menu selection and pricing, and found Pearl Catering to fit best with our food preferences and budget. We arranged a taste testing with Lilie Boni at Brix Tavern.

We arrived to find she had prepared custom tasting menus for us to keep :) We tried our selection of 4 appetizers, 4 sides, and 3 entrees. We narrowed down our selection, although all of it was wonderful.

Our guests raved about the MINI CRAB CAKES with lemon basil aioli and WOOD GRILLED SHRIMP on bamboo with cilantro Key lime aioli. Although the bridal party didn't get to enjoy these items, cause we were completing post ceremony paper work (license) and photos.

The entrée selections received great feedback from our guests as well. We had CHICKEN MADEIRA with wild mushrooms, tomatoes and Italian parsley in Madeira red wine sauce and HERB AND BALSAMIC MARINATED FLAT IRON STEAK. But the one item I could eat all day long and not get tired of was the ROASTED POTATOES WITH LEMON AND MARJORAM. They were to die for! We had thought ahead of time and brought to-go dishes for any leftovers. They were just as great the next day at the newlywed luncheon my sister hosted for us.

Lilie handled the rental of linens and cake stand through West Coast Event Productions and collaborated seamlessly with our day-of coordinator (Creations by Ly) and The Foundry for chair/table layout of ceremony and reception.

If you are looking for quality service, amazingly tasting food, and prices that won't put you under water, I highly recommend Pearl Catering. You won't be disappointed!

There aren't enough synonyms in the thesaurus for "positive" that would describe our experience working with Via Hersholt, Pearl Catering and Urban Studio. Via is attentive to every detail, responsive to every inquiry, gracious and patient with every request and facilitative with every idea. The Urban Studio space is infinitely customizable, cool, modern and sophisticated. We also found that it was very convenient for our guests as well as other vendors, and Via made our setup and cleanup process extremely easy. Our guests loved the menu that Via helped us create and the bar service was fantastic. We will never forget our reception at Urban Studio or the world class experience we had working with Via. Urban Studio and Pearl Catering! Fantastic! A great space for a smaller crowd. My wedding was March 30, 2013, and it was just the right size for my 60 guests (with and addition of 15 vendors working the event). Initially, I saw the space 5 days before my wedding. It was hard to imagine what it would look like, but the day of my wedding, the space was filled with my ideas and inspiration, it was beautiful, gorgeous! The staff made it so exceptionally easy for me. Pearl Catering catered my event. The food was fantastic! I have had nothing but compliments from my guests, and how they were so impressed with the venue and food. If you are looking for a artsy, fun place for any event, this is your place.

I fell in love with Urban Studio the minute I walked in. The space is gorgeous! The crystal chandeliers- beautiful, the large windows , the built in bar- very contemporary and the neutral colors were just what I wanted. My wedding day was truly the single most wonderful day in my life. My husband and I cannot thank the staff enough for all that they did for us. They created a signature cocktail for us to match the light green accent color which was delicious . My mother forgot the candles for our ceremony and one of the servers went to the store and came back with candles for us (just in the nick of time). We had our ceremony and reception in the same area and without skipping a beat the room was set for dinner. I recieved multiple raves about the food... the salmon was delicious! The day was an amamzing whirlwind and I wouldn't change a thing.

This is the perfect venue for a wedding/reception and as a bride that planned her own wedding, I would HIGHLY recommend it. The level of service, quality of food and beverages, as well as competitive prices make this an ideal place for any event. Here are some of the highlights from our event:
- Everyone thought the food was amazing. I think this is incredibly impressive considering it was buffet style with salmon (which is regularly dry) as an option. People also commented that food was constantly being replaced to keep everything fresh and full.
- Great communication with servers: Lead server touched base with me when everyone needed to be seated for dinner, let me know where all provided items were located (e.g. champagne glasses), etc. Apps served and bar opened without having to say anything. Additionally, our cake was boxed up for us without asking .
- Timing was perfect: the room was flipped in the timeline we had discussed with all appropriate items set up (e.g. flowers, table numbers, name cards, etc).
-One of the bartenders brought a drink to the table for me during dinner when he thought someone might have accidently picked mine up from the bar (I had it but it was so thoughtful of him to make sure I had the cocktail I wanted during dinner).
-Via, the event coordinator was absolutely amazing to work with. She was always straight forward, helpful, and calm, which made my life so much easier. She was flexible when we needed it: allowing us to visit the venue with out of town family members so they could get a feel for where we were getting married, doing the menu tasting with us on a Saturday since we live out of town, accommodating last minute menu cards and chair signs, etc. It was all very much appreciated.

Staff: Cant' thank them enough. Went above and beyond the call of duty. Extra up lighting was added without charge to complete the look of our ceremony/reception site. This was done by the manager on duty that night. It really did make the room look better! There was also a coat rack that was provided (unbeknownst to me until the end of the night) for the guests as they came in- another thoughtful touch. A bridesmaid had requested some OJ & glasses. No questions asked and carafe of OJ was provided on request along with champagne glasses for a pre-ceremony toast. Staff was always present (but I never felt as if I was always seeing them- a welcomed ghost staff) and accommodating and following right on schedule. Via our point of contact while planning our wedding was always beyond helpful. She was able to put in a few changes for us with the menu (kuddos to the chef for letting us change them!), showing us endless examples of previous weddings, adding requested beverages (also thanks to Urban Studio for providing additional brands of alcohol) and getting all of our questions answered.
Food: amazing! I was the first plate to be served (buffet style) and the last person to actually sit down and eat! My plate was still pipping hot by the time (about 10 min from plating to eating) I was able to dig in! Something that was very important to us was hot food! People still rave about the food- mostly the chicken (we had the champagne chicken with a requested no mushrooms). We also had the braised beef tips and changed the sauce to the pepper cognac sauce. Very delicious but slightly dry- I imagine any beef would be hard to keep juicy in a buffet style. Spinach and strawberry salad-yum! White cheddar and Gruyere Au gratin potatoes with Parmesan-yum! and Orzo pasta with basil pesto and hazelnuts- Yum!! All very good choices!
Balloon drop: Yes we had one!! It was a little hard to time the way we imagined but it was so amazing and so much fun for the guests!
Would defiantly recommend Urban Studio!!! Our wedding was so amazing I want to do it again!!

I LOVE Urban Studio and Pearl Catering! My husband and I had both our ceremony and reception there. Via Hersholt was amazing at coordinating both the ceremony and reception for us. She was very professional, yet down-to-earth. She was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had and flexible and open to inviting our other vendors to the venue for coordinating our beautiful day! The food was incredible and the day went off without a hitch! The best part about it was that everything ran so smoothly that you didn't even notice the staff working at the wedding. Love this place! I would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone!

Phenomenal package deal, Everyone who attended the wedding thought the service and attentiveness and quality of the meal was great. Pearl Catering was a preferred vendor at our venue (The Foundry at Oswego Pointe) and we couldn't be more thrilled we went with them for our wedding day! They were super easy to work with, made suggestions based on our budget, gave us lots of options, and even coordinated rentals so we wouldn't have to work with two different companies! We had a few different event managers during the planning process, however, everything went smoothly and we were beyond happy with the final product. The food itself is OUTSTANDING! We still have friends telling us about how great the food was at our wedding. Pearl Catering is simply the best - we highly recommend them for wedding catering!

From the moment that we heard that Pearl Catering owned one of our restaurants (and then soon after, another of our favorite restaurants), we were very excited to have our tasting. The tasting was amazing and put us both into a food coma. After our tasting, we didn't even need to look elsewhere because we were sold!

The only minor that we had was our point of contact changed and it took a little time to notify us of the change. But after that everything went smoothly and Ashley did a great job for us.

The food for the event was well above par and we received lots of happy comments from our guests.

We chose Pearl Catering because of their vast selection of hors d'oeuvres. They have many different packages that let you pick the combination of passed vs stationed, hot vs cold etc appetizers. We didn't do a sit down dinner, so this was perfect for us! When we booked Pearl Catering, we were in contact with one of their employees who was at times difficult to get a hold of. I actually had to send 2 emails in order to get a response from the company when we were shopping for caterers. Luckily for Pearl Catering, we really liked what they had to offer and we were patient enough to wait to be replied to. Our main contact changed about a month before our wedding. Ashley took over as our main contact and was present during our wedding. She was wonderful to work with and was very prompt with emails! Our guests raved about the food. Pearl Catering was the perfect chioce for our event!

I worked with Katie and she is amazing! She was always so patient and accommodating. I must have sent her 1,000 emails within the span of a year. She made sure I was always taken care of. The food was incredible and so was the service. Everyone loved the food. I'm not sure when I will need to cater such a large crowd again but I would definitely go with Pearl again.

We worked with Katie from Pearl Catering and she was great. It was very convenient to because she also coordinated the furniture rental for us.

The bar and waiting staff on the day of the event was very professional, and the food was yummy.

We did use a different location than the Urban studio, and in hindsight we should not done that. We should've either used the urban studio with Pearl catering, or the caterer that came recommend with our location. It required a bit more planning and coordination because Pearl catering was not familiar with our venue. From a lay out point of view we ended up in a sub optimal lay-out, but that's not the fault of Pearl catering or the venue. It was a planning mistake from our end.

Katie and Pearl catering have been very flexible and responsive throughout the process and on the day itself.

I loved how this venue was unique and very different from the places all my friends have gotten married. I do not like doing the "usual" thing, so this was perfect for me. The atmosphere was chic and fun. My parents and all of my guests were extremely impressed with the food and they said it was one of the best, funnest weddings they have been to.

Urban Studio was our dream reception location. Our guests were able to easily take the street car from our ceremony in the Park Blocks and they LOVED the central, downtown location.

Our guests raved about the food and we were extremely pleased with the set-up of the room. Working with Via was a joy and I felt that at all times she had our best interests at heart. I knew that the studio would look beautiful for our special day- and it did not disappoint.

Fantastic food, quick replies and super helpful during planning

Noelle did an amazing job. My venue was The Foundry at Oswego Pointe. I’m not sure how the duties are divided in this partnership with The Pearl, but I had very little interaction with Natalia after I had signed the contract. Most of my correspondence was forwarded to Noelle – and I am so thankful.

Noelle responded to my many lengthy emails quickly and professionally, assuaging all my anxieties. She listened to all my concerns about my guests and the space, and she had great suggestions to make sure the room layout and the timeline of events would work for me. She also had advice about the structure of the food choices at the meal.

So the only (and very minor) criticism I would give is that The Pearl should assign a catering coordinator to answer calls the morning of each wedding, or at least give us an hours of operations, so we don’t freak out about catering for an hour before our wedding. The morning of my wedding, I was very concerned that the catering team assigned to my day was not properly told what to do, so I called the number that she gave. The person at that number did not return my call until over an hour later (which is a long time to wait before a wedding).

The food was absolutely fantastic. Many guests told us how the food was so good and they were impressed. They had a lot of it too – we had leftovers for weeks. So rest assured that all that money is buying good food, haha!

Pearl Catering

Pearl Catering made our wedding just impeccable. From the place settings to the food (which got raves from everyone), we couldn't have asked for anything better. The bartenders were a blast to work with and have at our wedding.

Meagan and her team was amazing - they brought our food right when we sat down and even brought some mac and cheese from the kid's buffet for us. She even brought us a drink right after we got married - these little touches mean everything to us.

Meagan met with us several times to taste the food, tour the space and rentals, send over many iterations of the proposal, and helped to make the buffet lines move smoothly and quickly. We would highly recommend them!

Pearl Catering provided food and drinks for our wedding. Ashley was amazing to work with and was so responsive and helpful! After we had our ceremony, she was standing at the end of the aisle with two glasses of water for us. She made amazing recommendations on food and day of ideas. Having our food plated and not having to wait in line saved us valuable time to greet our guests. The food was incredible. We heard only amazing things about the cocktail hour, and the dinner was talked about for several weeks after. During the clean up, our families told us the servers were very fast to clean up, but they were afraid some of our items would be picked up in the process. Wish they could have slowed down after we had left, but we understand the time crunch. We cannot thank Ashley and Pearl Catering enough for making our day so delicious and memorable.

Working with Pearl Catering was a wonderful experience and I really enjoyed working with Katie. She made the whole process really easy, and worked with us to really make our wedding a memorable experience. The food was amazing, and I have received so many compliments on how good they thought everything was. Katie is also very responsive and is very willing to answer all of your questions and offer suggestions when needed.

We had such a great experience with Urban Studio. Via was our coordinator, and she was so helpful as we tried to plan a wedding cross-country. The food was awesome (really above the average for buffet!) and the service at the bar was really great. The space is so unique and chic - the colors are neutral and will fit whatever your color scheme is. There are couches and bistro tables to provide additional seating and a cool vibe. DJing with your own laptop or ipod is pretty easy. Great location, and the free streetcar stops right there! A great value and personable professionals!

While we enjoyed working with these caterers, we were super disappointed in the food. Our guests really liked it, and we received a lot of compliments so that is good... however, both the groom and I thought the food tasted so bad we barely ate anything at our wedding. The food at our tasting was spectacular... and what was served at our wedding buffet was too salty, the green items were cooked past being green, the potatoes were dry and the chicken tasted like airplane chicken (to us). However again, the guests all liked it and there was little leftover... so matter of taste?

One thing we were disappointed with was that we had talked about a signature nonalcoholic cocktail to be made available for our guests... and that seemed to not only get lost but confusing to the vendor ultimately leading to a table with ice tea and lemonade.

I consulted with this vendor as a possible venue. Making the initial appointment was difficult and the woman did not seem very helpful. It appears she has since left and a new person is filling this coordinator role. The followup has been timely and responsive. I chose not to use them as a vendor.

They offer comprehensive services and fair pricing. The space didn't fit my needs.

Beautiful space only for a small wedding

Pros: In the Pearl district, very neat space with lots of decorating potential and built in bar
Cons: Hosting both ceremony and reception while possible is tricky, expect an hour in the lobby while the space is flipped, if you have over 100 guests I think you’d feel so cramped, windows expose you to the street (no privacy)

This space is definitely tiny. I recommend seeing it in person before signing any contracts even if they pressure you to sign because someone else wants your date. Or at least walk by to get a glimpse of the space. I tried so many times to make an appointment to see the space but they are really busy. Once we saw the space we realized it wasn’t possible for our 125 person wedding unless we wanted to be super cramped. No longer going with venue.

Another thing to note is once the contract is signed Natalia is no longer a point of contact and all questions had to be directed to Ashley with Pearl catering who manages their space. I was beyond frustrated at their lack of teamwork, instead of being able to ask either person I was constantly being redirected back and forth. I also was told flipping the space from ceremony to reception would take only half n hour but it can be upwards of hour. Your guests would wait in the reception area which is really just a lobby and isn’t that large. I cannot fathom how 130 guests could fit and they can if they are sardines. I’m sure this space is really lovely for a wedding but make sure your guest count is small or go else where. Also be prepared to only communicate on email, it was hard to reach anyone by phone. Maybe just walk by the space before you even think of booking to get a feel for it.

Great venue, tasty food, but make sure you negotiate the contract properly, they will start taking down your decorations as soon as they deem the event is over.

We had planned to get married at Urban Studio. We began to work with their team a year before our wedding and signed our contract. During the planning phase communication completely dropped off.

We had questions regarding the proposal and wanted to iron out those issues. However, we went months without any communication from their team during the summer leading up to our wedding. When we finally asked to speak with the owner, we were told the owner didn't want to speak with us and we would be sued for breach of contract - for trying to speak with the individual over the phone?

We were baffled by their unprofessionalism, and we were already angered by the shear lack of response to our conservative amount of e-mails. We cancelled our contract and received a refund on our deposit roughly 9 months after signing the initial contract.
