Captured everything we wanted and more!
So I have never hired professional photographers before and let me tell you, Brook and Joey set the bar HIGH with our wedding photos! They are SO fun and so creative. Highly responsive and really complement each other in terms of their skill sets. They were willing to drive a little over an hour to our hotel and i barely even noticed they were there! They just got to work taking all the getting ready photos and headed over to our venue without needing really any attention from me during a very busy morning! They captured every single part of our wedding weekend better than I could have ever imagined. Gallery was ready in about 6.5 weeks! Do not pass on this couple for capturing your special day.

I've known Brook & Joey for awhile and used their services a few times. They are also so fun to work with. Their pictures are absolutely amazing! Recently, we used them for our engagement session at Divine Llama Vineyards and our wedding on North Topsail Beach. The engagement photos were absolutely stunning! We booked Urban Bloom for our engagement and wedding photos and they did a phenomenal job! Brook and Joey made me and my now-husband feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and the end results turned out AMAZING! They did a great job of capturing the candid moments and nothing felt 'staged' and formal, which is exactly what we wanted! We received our wedding photos about a month after the wedding which was a lot sooner than I expected. EXACTLY what I wanted for wedding photos!
I hired Urban Bloom for my wedding as I wanted a certain look for the wedding photos. They are able to capture these rich, earthy wedding photos that have an artistic touch. I wanted to have wedding photos that I could hang on the wall that look like they came from an art gallery as opposed to the every day, white washed photos. Joey and Brook were great to work with for my small wedding and BONUS, it was cloudy on my wedding day so they were able to capture these amazing skies in their rich photos. Incredible Experience from Bridals to Wedding
Working with Joey and Brook was absolutely wonderful. They were responsive and helpful from day one of our emailing. My bridals happened on a day when weather was a concern and Brook went above and beyond to meet me early so that I could have some sunshine in my portraits. The experience with the wedding was equally wonderful. They captured all the moments I requested (they asked me several weeks in advance what moments I wanted or people that I definitely wanted in my pictures) and they turned out wonderfully. We received our entire gallery of photos in about 4-ish weeks which we thought was a fantastic turnaround time. We received our wedding video a couple weeks or so later and it made you feel like you were at the wedding all over again. We even booked them for another photo session before Christmas because we had some extra time leftover. We enjoyed having them there on our special day because they made the picture process fun and without any hassle. I would recommend them to anyone (and I definitely have already)!

AMAZING TEAM AND could not be happier with Naomi! If you are looking for photographer, book her now before she is no longer available your date! Once we met Naomi, we knew she was going to be a great fit for us. She is upbeat, positive and so friendly, it is easy to feel comfortable and at ease around her. We were blown away with our engagement pictures and the wedding pictures we are speechless about. We used one of the engagement shots for our Save the Date and had many people compliment how gorgeous the image was. For our wedding pictures, they are beautiful and have used one of the images as our Thank You cards...it was extremely hard to pick just one because they did such an amazing job capturing our day. Naomi wanted to get to know us as a couple and that was amazing! She was able to capture our personalities and some of our interests (i.e. our dog) in the photographs, which makes them so much more perfect to us. One word...AMAZING! Most people pick a wedding date and venue then find their vendors. Not us...we found out what days Joey and Brooke had open and then booked our venue! There wasn’t anybody else who we wanted to do the wedding. We knew the photographers, had some family pictures done with them in previous years, and just loved their work...and we love them. They are both so professional and so good at making you feel at ease. I can’t put into words just how thrilled we were with the photos. They were all I had hoped for and so much more. It is hard to put into words how much we appreciated working with Joey and Brook for our engagement and wedding photography. They immediately put us at ease from the moment we met them-they feel more like friends than another vendor. They have chemistry as a photography team that leads to them capturing the most incredible images as a team. They have slightly different styles, which is awesome since you get a mix of different shots but all are absolutely breathtaking! They were always responsive (we texted, emailed and had phone calls throughout our year and a half engagement). They were very flexible (especially when we had weather issues for weeks trying to find a good day for an engagement session). Joey and Brook traveled to Beaufort, SC for our wedding and although they didn't know the area, they found the most perfect shots in our shooting locations during our pre-wedding shots. Our engagement pictures and our pre-wedding pictures are truly artwork-we can't wait to order prints. They transitioned perfectly from the more artistic pictures to the details of the ceremony and reception as well as the action shots from the reception. We also chose to do a highlight reel/video with them and we are so glad we did. They seamlessly would move from shooting photos to video without anyone noticing, so the video was so candid and perfect in every way. We can't stop re-watching and looking at the photos from our perfect day. I cannot recommend Joey and Brook (Urban Bloom Photography) enough!

We liked that they are a husband and wife team, and that they both had different styles of photography that complimented each other. Their photos are art! They were super accommodating and helpful, and we were able to tweak our package so it fit our needs and budget. They were super easy to work with, and great at getting our entire bridal party (all 15 of us) around the venue and getting the shots. I searched for a wedding photographer for quite a while, I'm picky and wanted great quality but also didn't want to blow the bank. I am SO glad I found Urban Bloom. Our wedding is still months away, but we shot our engagement photos already and they turned out great! Joey and Brook always responded quickly to my questions and got our photos back to us after only 2 weeks! During the photo shoot we were given just enough direction so we weren't awkwardly standing around not knowing what to do, but not too much direction so the photos didn't come out too "posed." WOW WOW WOW! We cannot speak highly enough of Joey and Brook. These two are not only Amazing photographers with a great eye and creative soul, but you will have gained two wonderful friends. They are so great at what they do and make you feel absolutely beautiful. I'm pretty good in front of the camera and love pictures, but my wife tends to be a little camera shy. She is always one that would rather be behind the lens than in front of it. But working with Joey and Brook, they just make you feel comfortable, beautiful, and confident -- Needless to say my heart just melted as I watched my wife shine as they photographed us. Our engagement photos were literally magazine worthy, we knew they were going to be amazing but they left us with our jaws dropped! We were so excited for our wedding day. Brook was very prompt emailing us as the month got closer to the wedding day and asking about special moments, things we had planned, etc. One our wedding day when Joey and Brook showed up while we were starting to get ready, it felt more like old friends that we were expecting on our big day to celebrate with us. At the end of the night we gave them both a giant hugs and told them that we would need them to do all of our future family photo sessions and hopefully maternity and baby shots when that day comes. Looking back at all our wedding photos puts a giant smile on our face and brings happy tears! They were just incredible at capturing the moment and all of the love that surrounded it! If you don't book them then you are truly missing out!!! Love love love them!!

In the beginning of our wedding planning process we knew we wanted outstanding, abnormally, unique, over the top photography although after winning a photography package with ANOTHER VENDOR at a bridal show we "thought" it would be a good idea to save our money and use our free package for our wedding. After getting our engagement pictures back (FROM THIS OTHER COMPANY) we decided we could not continue with it so we started looking elsewhere. That's when we found Joey & Brook. When you meet this duo, you will feel like you have been friends forever! Every time we met with them or had a shoot, we were always comfortable, not stressed, and they were almost invisible on our wedding day! They took my bridals on top of a breath taking mountain and made me look and feel as I was an angel in the clouds. I also, made my husband a surprise present by letting Brook take Boudoir photos of me which truly blow him away when he opened it on our wedding day! Never did he expect me to do anything like that, but the work that Brook shot of me was amazing. I only wanted something that was a little sexy, but was very classy and that's what she gave me. They listen to exactly you want and make sure you get it! We have just went through our wedding photos, and I am even more blown away as to how they create such beautiful masterpieces. I have truly never seen any better work as I have with UB! The only regrets that we have was wasting our time by not getting our engagement photos with Joey and Brook and not letting them video our wedding day. Without a doubt, they will capture all of our photography needs in the future. Why would you want to not have breathtaking pictures for anything that you want captured? Do yourself a favor and book Urban Bloom Photography! You won't regret it, I promise!

I've been trying to write a review that truly expresses how magical Joey and Brook are and there are simply no words. Their ability to capture the actual beauty in ever shot is astounding. My bridal portraits look like a fairy tale. Our engagement photos are fun and whimsical and the wedding photos we've seen look too incredible to be real. These two are pure perfection. The only reason to not book them is if you are OK with mediocre photos. Greatest decision we made for our wedding was having them capture it. Again, thank ya'll so much for being so fabulous!

We hired Joey and Brook to shoot our wedding day. We literally just sat there in awe when we received our gallery. They. nailed. it.
From the very first day that I reached out, they were prompt with responses and once we met for our big day- it was like they were old friends. Everyone who has seen an image from them has replied with nothing short of "WOW!" One of the biggest things I noticed about them- is I completely forgot they were there. Which is a great thing. Looking at the pictures, I found myself saying, "whoa.. i didn't even know they were around for that." They both captured our day the exact way that I have always dreamed.

Joey and Brook exceeded any expectation we had. When my husband and I first saw their work we were ready to book them, and when we first met Brook that only reinforced our decision. We went to them for our engagement photos, bridal photos and of course for our wedding. They captured every little detail and every precious moment of our big day. They are so easygoing and can make the shyest person feel comfortable in front of the camera. I honestly didn't even realize they were there for the ceremony and most of the reception as they are so flawless at what they do. Their communication skills are impeccable and really reassuring that they are truly there for you. Patience is also a virtue they definitely possess. Through all the hustle and bustle of the big day their help in getting everyone in place for photos was invaluable. Their unique style and eye for detail has received the highest level of praise from all of our loved ones. I would recommend this talented couple to anyone. When we were looking for someone to capture our wedding, I wanted someone who would make sure our entire day would be remembered through our pictures. When I met with Brook in August of 2014, I knew she and Joey were who we would want. We made the decision to spend more on our photographer than anything else and we did. I would not trade my decision for Brook and Joey to be our photographers for anything. Our engagements, stunning. My bridal session, breathtaking. The day of the wedding, magical. I knew I wanted Urban Bloom to photograph my wedding before I was even engaged! Their work is stunning! In short, we loved them!
Urban Bloom was able to bring so much light into our wedding day. They were knowledgeable, kind and patient. They listened to what we wanted and were creative with the simple. I would recommend these guys to anyone in the future.
